Mel Dau (Melvin’s Daughter) was born in Vicenza, Italy but raised in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. She is the baby girl and only girl of three. She has always had a love for books beginning with the Baby Sitter’s Club, R.L. Stine, and Christopher Pike. She dabbled in writing as she grew up but never took it as seriously as she should have.
Mel Dau graduated from from Wando High School, then later matriculated to Benedict College (BSW) and Webster University (MHRM). She is a mother of a teenage daughter, a HR Professional, and a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.

Under Queens of Lit Presents, she successfully published 15 titles that were all debuted in the top fifty on Amazon Top 100.
In May of 2020, she was signed to her new publisher B. Love Publications where she continues her growth as an author. Her purpose as an author is to provide her readers’ with her E³ formula, Entertain, Encourage & Educate. She achieved her first #1 Bestseller with her Erotica title, Pet The Kitty. Her overall desire is to use her fiction catalog to help change at least one person’s non-fiction reality.
This was a very fast-paced love story that can serve as a quick palate cleanser. A lot of the relationship building happens off page, so we’re mostly told about it rather than getting to fully see it unfold.
There isn’t much drama between the couple themselves. Most of the conflict comes from an outside situation involving the MMC and his daughter.
It’s a quick read and easy enough to get through, but nothing about it felt especially remarkable to me.
There are also a lot of callbacks to “Zeus” and “To Hades and Back,” so if you haven’t read those first, you might feel like you’re missing some context.
I like the way this author tells a story. She gives us drama, laughter, shady stuff, and loving parts, all in one story. This one was no exception. The motorcycle club and all that goes with that dynamic was told differently in this tale. The story was a good thing...
Mel Dau, oh my I swear you know how to spin a story. Thanks for giving us some good fun material. Im so glad to see one of my families have an update. Doc was ready when her blessing came. To see such compassion for someone that really seemed to not want it. Have to use the same person that you thoughtfully felt you never would need them. In the end all things worked together for the good. 🤗🤗🤗🤗
This book gives me mature vibes. The male lead is a single father with a healthy coparenting plan in place. He had some hiccups in the beginning but got it together before he decided what he wanted for his future.
Alexander/Bread is a financial advisor and is looking for "the one" to settle down. He relocates and joins a motorcycle club. His daughter now lives with him full-time.
Hesitate is a trauma surgeon that mentors other young girls who want to be surgeons as well. She is a part of a local motorcycle club as well.
Hectic and Alexander met at an event, and the attraction was evident. He pursued, and she answered. There was indirect drama that cause a little hiccup in theory journey.
Communication was key in their journey. Alexander was not interested in confusion of any kind.
I loved Bread and Hestia down! I was sad to hear about Jade and Dorian, but I hope she gets a serious lesson from this. I hope baby girl moves on well even if they eventually get back together. He can’t be the only now that his ass wanted to play. The only thing is….you cannot make me like Aaron. He did too much and allowed too much to be daddy and husband of the year that “deserves “ all this love and happiness. I roll my eyes every time he pops up with his funky ass happily ever after.
This was a quick read but it was so good. It held my attention from the first page and I couldn’t put it down. This was a grown folks story where Bread and Hestia meet and have an instant attraction, he pursues her with intention and they fall into a relationship. I loved that they weren’t playing games about their feelings and wants. I also loved Bread as a father. It was also nice getting updates on the other Basil siblings and their spouses. I’m looking forward to more stories from this family and associates.
Loved it, for this to be the third book in the saga, it makes me love this bunch of characters so much more. I def was looking forward to hestia having her own love and baby did it show up and show out. Bread did not waste anytime getting his woman and making it known that commitment was where shit was heading and Hestia knew he worth and was ready to accept that. Loved them together and her relationship with his daughter made it that much more amazing. I am interested to get the story on Dorian and Jade cause seems like might be a 2nd change type thing... 🤔 👀
I enjoyed this one from beginning to end. In true Mel Dau fashion, it is well thought out and well written with great characters and character growth. The message of this book, as well as the other two books in the series, are issues that need to be addressed. And as much as I enjoyed reading Doc and Breads' love story, Hades was my favorite character. Thank you, Mel Dau! Keep'em coming.
Yesssss, Bread and Hestia. Just like Hestia’s brothers, Bread (Alexander) does not play about her. I hollered when they all showed up at the motel. I loved how Hestia was a grown woman about every situation. There’s no need to get out of character, but you have to know she’s most definitely going to demand her respect. Bread was a grown man that knew what he wanted and took nothing less. I am loving this MC series.
MD has done it again with this biker book of love and family. Alexander "Bread" and Hestia were definitely crafted for one another professionally, mentally, and physically. The author blends family drama, love and chaos as smoothly and wild as the intimacy between the lovers. Worthy of five stars and weekend read.
Mel Dau does it again. I always love when this world comes together. The way Mel Dau is able to continue to weave other names from other series into all of her books is why I love this universe she has created. This book was cute because it was love that came easy and stayed strong. Great job!!
I was hoping Mel book took me back to Mt. O and KOK. A time was had because Hades is still my hot head. Hestia, queen, you shined in this one. I loved you and Alexander to pieces. You and the other women speaking life and success in those young women was remarkable. You helping Melanie was boss woman mentality for real.
What a great storyline. The main characters are succesul professionals no longer playing stupid games. For both... it was when you know you know. There is drama and plenty of spice. Another winner for the author.
The was a great love story. I can see other stories coming from the characters in this book. Mel you did an outstanding job on this book. Everyone stop what you are doing and read the love story it was fire.
I was soo glad to see the Basil’s back. I love them Mt. O riders. Especially the women. Love to see a strong FMC get her soft girl life. Really enjoyed this book. Please read it.
The book was hilarious. I laugh throughout the whole book. There were some serious moments but overall great book. Mel Dau knows her pen game is off the hook. We love all her books. I recommend the book.
