Coal Bishop made his choice a decade ago—he picked the Devils Ridge Riders over Mia Campbell. To her, it was the ultimate betrayal. She left town with a shattered heart and no intention of ever looking back. Now Mia’s return sets fire to everything Coal has built. As club president, he’s hardened, ruthless, and sworn to put his brothers above all else. But Mia isn’t the girl he lost—she’s a woman who knows exactly what it costs to trust him again. With a rival crew stirring violence on the Ridge, Coal and Mia are thrown into the same storm they once burned in. Old wounds bleed into present danger, and the line between love and loyalty threatens to tear them apart all over again. In Devil’s Ridge, loyalty is life, betrayal cuts deep, and some flames never burn out
This book has made it to my top 3 list and Coal and Mia are one of those couples that will live rent free in my head. Ember was so well written it has you from the first few chapters you immediately fall in love with all of the characters especially Coal and Mia. This writing creates a world that you can picture as you read and the characters are so well written it’s like you personally know them. Mia is a strong willed woman now who is independent and relies on no one. Just like her mom she was ment to stand beside her man not behind him. Coal is everything you need in a leader calm, level headed and always looking out for his people. Coal and Mia childhood friends and sweethearts part ways after the shocking death of Mia’s mother. Mia leaves town swearing to never return. 10 years later Mia returns home to her sister Sara and her father Mason. Soon those feelings she had for Coal come racing back. They have to fight their way back and learn to trust again. When an original club member turns trader they will have to dig and remember the past to lead them to their biggest battle yet. This book has everything you could ask for love, friendship, found family, a little spice and the best friends anyone could ask for. I give this book a 10/10
