A Journey Through Unthinkable Grief into Unshakable Grace is a powerful memoir of trauma, loss, and the relentless hope of God. When a series of emotional landslides—her mother’s suicide attempt, cascading family crises, and her son’s tragic death—shattered Jacke Rose’s world, she was left buried beneath grief no parent should ever face. Through vivid storytelling and unwavering faith, Jacke recounts her descent into heartbreak and the divine interventions that carried her toward healing.
For readers walking through deep grief, trauma, or unanswered questions, this memoir offers a compassionate companion and a reminder that God steps into the rubble with us and rebuilds what feels beyond repair. Ideal for Christian readers, grief groups, counselors, and ministries.
Wow. What an incredibly profound, gut wrenching, and ultimately beautiful story of super natural resilience and faith. I read the whole book in one day and couldn't put it down. Spiritual warfare is real and Jacke's story is a glowing testimony that God always wins. Light will overcome the darkness if we fix our eyes on Jesus. God will create unimaginable beauty from the devastating ashes in our lives. John 10:10 states that the enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy, but Jesus came to give us life in abundance until it overflows. Jacke's life and ministry embraces this scripture like no other.
This book of a parents worst nightmare, by the grace of God, is so encouraging and also uplifting. Our God is so faithful. I identified with Jacke’s different seasons of emotions and her walk with the Lord. It’s both tragic and beautiful. God’s love and faithfulness is so evident. I’ll read it again and share it with others.
I met Jacke after losing my own 22 year old daughter in an accident. She had my heart from the start with her wisdom, encouragement and strength. I “knew” her story, but now, I know, her story. God has truly led Jacke through each phase of her life, and in turn, she has used that to nurture and love those around her. You won’t be able to put this book down, and it’s likely to change your perspective on your own life and challenges.
