A MM romance with Alien x Human in an alien world, ✨our weirdness matches✨ vibes, fated mates + insta love, size difference, un-suiting (lol), hurt/comfort, & a fluffy fast story!
So I've been following this series since it's book 1. I've checked them all out, but I would say I read this one the thoroughly-est 🤣. Assistant 23 was such a mystery, I wanted to uncover it 😁. Devoured it in 3hrs 40min! Love the covers <3
Assistant 23 has been living on this alien world alone for 8yrs. But now, he's with the humans in the alien village. 23's real name remains a mystery for most the book lol (after finding out, I get it bro). 23's painfully anxious, self depreciating, & a bit "weird", yet he's also caring & sweet. 23's a linguist/hacker but we don't get to see his skills here much. He's been in a full-body suit... Which gets destroyed!
Farr’vye is 23's stalker 🤣 alien. F's curious & gets obsessed fast. He had been fascinated with 23 from the start. Seen as a 'creep' (justified ngl) but he's also thoughtful, protective, observant, playful, teases & is sweet to 23. He's also older & infertile (I wonder what'll be the age-gap), which works great for 23 🙌.
So much happens in hours after F finally talks with 23! The one-sided forced proximity & wild situations worked wonders 🤭. It's cut-y, horny, thorny, hottie(s), stormy, lovey (yes I tried to rhyme, refer to book 😉) 🔥. We get only some backstory, & while I'd always want more, they were interesting & I liked them.
I realise the whole book must be only 3-4 days, damn! Especially with no m-preg. It's insta only from 23's side tho. Still, this was the fluffy, sweet thing with a side of feels I expected ❤️. I love the friendship this gang has ended up with. It's HEA, but I feel like author has left some lines open for future series potential!

I’m really sad because I was super looking forward to this book and it had so much potential. But it fell flat for me. And then the MMCs anxiety just like… vanishes? Nope.

August 13, 2026HELPP not another dnf! I just can't with this LI... a cinnamon roll mc deserves a cinnamon roll li but NOO it can never be that simple can it?! Anyway I'm off to cry about how long it's been since I've had a 5-star...

3.75/5. Needs a lot of editing, but I love this little world and all the characters. This one would've been my fav, but it's too short. I need more of these two and I'm actually super fucking bummed that I read the page count wrong and thought I was getting 300+ pages and only got 141. That's not a diss at the book, just my own stupidity. This one was definitely faster on the instalove vibes, but that's because it's basically a novella. I'll get over my Big Sads, but I don't gotta be happy about them. I'm also sad that it's over, so it's definitely sadS, not sad.

A light, fluffy, quick read from Hawke Oakley. I was thrilled to see that Assistant 23 was getting his story. I didn't know if Hawke planned to continue the series or not and I was delighted to know that anxious baby was going to get a mate.
Is it insta-love and light-hearted, absolutely. But sometimes that is exactly what I want. These two were so delightfully adorable together and the series wrapped up perfectly. Hawke did leave it open for another potential ship of humans to crash but I was satisfied in not only the HEA Assistant 23 got but the glimpses of the couples from the first 3 books in the series, enjoying their lives too.
Is it insta-love and light-hearted, absolutely. But sometimes that is exactly what I want. These two were so delightfully adorable together and the series wrapped up perfectly. Hawke did leave it open for another potential ship of humans to crash but I was satisfied in not only the HEA Assistant 23 got but the glimpses of the couples from the first 3 books in the series, enjoying their lives too.

Aw - I liked this one. Farr’vye and Assistant 23 are both viewed as outsiders in their own way. Farr'vye has always been viewed as too intense and even creepy, and Assistant 23 isolates himself from everyone because of his absolutely crippling anxiety. Yet together they somehow work. And yes, it's a little unrealistic that Assistant 23's anxiety can be virtually cured by falling in love, but we are talking about a book set on an alien planet and he has fallen in love with a 7-foot, purple, alien, so I'll allow it in this instance!

I adore this series so much and this book was no exception, Assistant 23 &. Faevre are so much fun. The freak4freak vibes, both feel odd in ways and I was so charmed by their relationship. The obsession and their dynamic was so sweet.
Assistant 23's anxiety and worry, his helmet and coverings - his confusion and yet how his charmed by Farr’vye.
Farr’vye's obsession, following him and seeking to learn more all of the questions & checking first was perfect.
These two are so entertaining, their initial introduction and the night away - how they share their stories with each other. I was just as obsessed with them from start to finish.
So much chemistry, the removal of the face shield and suit. Along with name in the end was so perfect! Very fitting.
Oh and always enjoy glimpses of the previous pairings, even if not as much a focus here. It was sweet to see all together and a very happy ending for all 💜

I think this was my favourite couple, but I didn't like the ending too much. I always enjoy these kinds of books because they are a fun quick reads, and especially Hawke Oakley does it well. I also don't take too big of an issue when people are miracle healed. It is fiction, being healed is nice, gotta dream. But the way it was done wasn't satisfying. I wish he would have kept at least some of his anxiety and then in a time skip got better with it.
His obsessive side was interesting, I would have enjoyed reading more about that. I think it is just because it's such a short book, but a few pages more on that would have been appreciated. Him not taking of that suit was a fun bit for sure, and I also enjoyed that the author didn't budge on the reluctance to get pregnant. I was happy to see this couple stayed childless with a mutual agreement.

en realidad sería 3.5 aprox, es mi libro menos favorito
por alguna razón no pude conectar mucho con los personajes 😔🙏🏼
pero definitivamente amo el concepto de que en algún planeta lejano hay un alien de 2 metros que te vea y diga sos re débil con tu cuerpecito de humano, déjame cuidarte PARA SIEMPRE aaaaa
y así como digo que es mi libro menos favorito, tengo que decir que Farr'vye es mi alien favorito
larga vida a los Maeleon 🗣
los cuatro libros fueron un viaje de ida, me hicieron mi tiempo libro en el trabajo mucho más ligero e incluso me mantenía leyendo en el colectivo viajando de regreso a casa
conclusión: amo 🙏🏼 son ligeros de leer, cortitos, bonitos, con mucho amor y mucha magia alienigena, como corresponde

This was pretty good! I'm wondering if this will be the last one or not, considering we have no more humans left to pair off. We shall see! I liked the dynamic between the two MCs for the most part. There were a few moments where I found Assistant 23 kind of annoying? I know he's supposed to have severe anxiety, but it just seemed very over the top to me. Also, nothing was ever explained about why it was so bad. I think the author tried to hint at the trauma he had from his time with Unit 44, but still. Overall, I've enjoyed this series.

Aw, I liked this one! Sure, it was totally "alien's magic dick cures mental health issues" fiction, but two misfits finding the one they actually fit with? Even in the fluffy ridiculous form of this story, that will always be my jam. 😊 (I will say that this "standalone" is probably best enjoyed after reading the whole series though since the author really doesn't bother to explain the whole alien... everything 🤣)

Farr’vye’s and Assistant 23’s relationship was cute but lacked chemistry. Farr’vye is described as being much older, but the age gap is not defined. Assistant 23 is anxious in a way that is very relatable. His decision and need to remain childless is something you don’t encounter often in romance reading. It was great to see the previous couples, but that only reinforced Farr’vye’s and Assistant 23’s odd chemistry.

Aw dang, I was left very whelmed. The spice couldn’t even save the lack luster romance and non existent plot.
And like… this is an alien mpreg series, so I use plot loosely here, of course. But the only thing going on outside of the sex is Assistant 23’s debilitating lifelong anxiety that he gets over through the power of sex and falling in love over 2-3 days.

As fun as any Hawke Oakley book! I haven't read the preceding books in this series but after reading this one, I am about to purchase those three. Cute characters, fun little story, interesting world. Great read!

perfect ending!
I found Assistant 23’s story really interesting! He and his alien were very different than any of the others and I really liked the juxtaposition of it all!

I didn’t really expect to like this series as much as I do, but I’ve grown to really love this series. For what it is and how short the books are they’re pretty good.
