I’m really sad because I was super looking forward to this book and it had so much potential. But it fell flat for me. And then the MMCs anxiety just like… vanishes? Nope.

I read this in 3hr 40min! This was cute, I realised that these 2 took only 3-4 days to fall in love. Holy insta 😂.

en realidad sería 3.5 aprox, es mi libro menos favorito
por alguna razón no pude conectar mucho con los personajes 😔🙏🏼
pero definitivamente amo el concepto de que en algún planeta lejano hay un alien de 2 metros que te vea y diga sos re débil con tu cuerpecito de humano, déjame cuidarte PARA SIEMPRE aaaaa
y así como digo que es mi libro menos favorito, tengo que decir que Farr'vye es mi alien favorito

los cuatro libros fueron un viaje de ida, me hicieron mi tiempo libro en el trabajo mucho más ligero e incluso me mantenía leyendo en el colectivo viajando de regreso a casa
conclusión: amo 🙏🏼 son ligeros de leer, cortitos, bonitos, con mucho amor y mucha magia alienigena, como corresponde

A light, fluffy, quick read from Hawke Oakley. I was thrilled to see that Assistant 23 was getting his story. I didn't know if Hawke planned to continue the series or not and I was delighted to know that anxious baby was going to get a mate.

Is it insta-love and light-hearted, absolutely. But sometimes that is exactly what I want. These two were so delightfully adorable together and the series wrapped up perfectly. Hawke did leave it open for another potential ship of humans to crash but I was satisfied in not only the HEA Assistant 23 got but the glimpses of the couples from the first 3 books in the series, enjoying their lives too.

Aw - I liked this one. Farr’vye and Assistant 23 are both viewed as outsiders in their own way. Farr'vye has always been viewed as too intense and even creepy, and Assistant 23 isolates himself from everyone because of his absolutely crippling anxiety. Yet together they somehow work. And yes, it's a little unrealistic that Assistant 23's anxiety can be virtually cured by falling in love, but we are talking about a book set on an alien planet and he has fallen in love with a 7-foot, purple, alien, so I'll allow it in this instance!

3.75/5. Needs a lot of editing, but I love this little world and all the characters. This one would've been my fav, but it's too short. I need more of these two and I'm actually super fucking bummed that I read the page count wrong and thought I was getting 300+ pages and only got 141. That's not a diss at the book, just my own stupidity. This one was definitely faster on the instalove vibes, but that's because it's basically a novella. I'll get over my Big Sads, but I don't gotta be happy about them. I'm also sad that it's over, so it's definitely sadS, not sad.

This was pretty good! I'm wondering if this will be the last one or not, considering we have no more humans left to pair off. We shall see! I liked the dynamic between the two MCs for the most part. There were a few moments where I found Assistant 23 kind of annoying? I know he's supposed to have severe anxiety, but it just seemed very over the top to me. Also, nothing was ever explained about why it was so bad. I think the author tried to hint at the trauma he had from his time with Unit 44, but still. Overall, I've enjoyed this series.

Aw, I liked this one! Sure, it was totally "alien's magic dick cures mental health issues" fiction, but two misfits finding the one they actually fit with? Even in the fluffy ridiculous form of this story, that will always be my jam. 😊 (I will say that this "standalone" is probably best enjoyed after reading the whole series though since the author really doesn't bother to explain the whole alien... everything 🤣)

Aw dang, I was left very whelmed. The spice couldn’t even save the lack luster romance and non existent plot.

And like… this is an alien mpreg series, so I use plot loosely here, of course. But the only thing going on outside of the sex is Assistant 23’s debilitating lifelong anxiety that he gets over through the power of sex and falling in love over 2-3 days.

As fun as any Hawke Oakley book! I haven't read the preceding books in this series but after reading this one, I am about to purchase those three. Cute characters, fun little story, interesting world. Great read!
