Indie has been in love with Sebastian even after he "broke" her heart years ago. And now that her parents are going through a messy Hollywood divorce and a sex tape of there's she goes into hiding in the the hometown they use to vacation at.
I love that Indie friend kinda bullied her into going to a hockey game and Seb sees her and he's trying everything to find his girl. He never changed his number made sure she could reach him. Like guy did it all. I only have one complain he knew she was in LA he could've when he was like 21 or few years ago go and talk to her. He stalked her from afar.

But anywho these two crazy kids were slow building there relationship and friendship. The friendship with the guys and girlfriends on the team i loved it all.
We see drama from when the paparazzi find out who Indie is.
So there's that and the ex drama. I love how Sebastian fought for his woman. Told her how much he loves her.
They were perfect

I have been waiting for Sebastian’s book since the first book in the series. This man was just such a green flag in every book and I needed to see him get his happy ending. This second chance romance follows Sebastian, NHL goalie and Indie who met as teenagers, but stopped talking one night fourteen years ago. Now, both adults, they’ve never forgotten one another. Indie needs to get away from her movie star parents’ scandal and very public divorce in Los Angeles so she decides to head to the Twin Cities, Minnesota, which has nothing to do with the goalie she used to know that happens to play and live there. She figured she wouldn’t ever run into him, just feeling near him felt like enough, but one of her first nights there he sees her. Now, Sebastian has to convince her to see him again and both of them need to figure out and come to terms with what happened all those years ago.

Can I just say I love that we find out what happened between them early on in the story. Personally, it helps me decide if I’m rooting for the couple or not. Obviously I was still rooting for Bash and Indie to the end. While I’m sad the series is over, this was the perfect couple to wrap up this group of friends.

Who says second chances don’t work out…as long as you’re willing to work for it. Goalie Bash is definitely willing to do that and more to win Indigo back.

This book is funny and filled with heartfelt love. The main characters charm you and the side characters are best friend squad goals.

Romanticizing this behavior is extremely weird. Also it doesn't take you very long to realize the author has some serious internalized fatphobia and some form of issue with female sexuality because why else is it 15 chapters reminding you that Indie doesn't have a healthy or fulfilling sex life?? It's giving forced purity culture while Sebastian "Bash" is a HUGE WHORE. Like fucking all the bunnies and models.

The H and the h meet at 14 and spend the next 2 summers becoming best friends and then falling in love. The h witnesses the H making out with some blonde whore so she bows out gracefully but blocks him because she doesn't want him leading her on and having her be the 3rd wheel.
BUT... apparently the H was in love with her and thinking about their future but they get derailed.

Anywayyyy..... he says over the years he follows what little detail of her he can find in the tabloids. Sweet right?! WRONG. Because the whole time he's pining for her (SHE LIVES IN ROMANTIC AND SOCIAL ISOLATION and doesn't have a good sex life with her ONE ex bf) Sebastian is fucking anything and EVERYTHING with a hole and pulse.

He's enjoyed the fuck out of his rich and fulfilling sex life and then the author decides she hates her heroine because Indie not only has to read about ALL of the puck bunnies, models, and one really impressive astrophysicist that he fucks, Indie is not only taken advantage of by her ONLY boyfriend, she lives in complete romantic isolation.
Apparently the only people who are allowed to have a good sex life and variety are the Sebastian, Maddox, Griffin, and the MEN on the team.

This is weird because for 15 chapters you start to wonder if Piper Hale has not only some form of internalized fat phobia but she must hate her own character Indie.
You're getting repeatedly bashed over the head with Sebastians conquests and his exes but also she just keeps ramming the point home that Indie is some loner loser who's only experience dating and having sex is with a man who didn't even like her but used her to get closer to her family and gain clout. Meanwhile she has the audacity to write that Bash has been not only pining after Indie but searching for her for the past 10 years but no too hard because he's been bed hoping HUNDREDS of girls.

The misogyny is actually breath taking in this because according to Hale, if you're an introvert, have some form of complex trauma you just hole up in your little writing world and watch the guy you've been in love with get his dick wet with hundreds of girls. And the one time you take your stab at the dating world the guy only wants you for your connections.

Meanwhile Bash:

I’m no saint, despite their teasing. When you’re a professional athlete, there’s no shortage of beautiful women willing to give you as much attention as you want, and I’ve taken advantage of that plenty of times.

I’ll have to send someone from the team to get to her after the game. Ask her to meet me in the friends and family room. Because after ten years of trying everything to find Indie Bloom, she’s here. In my barn. And I’ll be damned if I let her run again.

Indie and Bash have known each other since they were teenagers. They fell in love over the course of a few summers but one moment in time changed their futures. They both had plans and dreams but everything changed within seconds. Both were heartbroken and devastated but they both reacted differently.

For Bash, he never gave up hope. He spent years trying to find Indie, searching through media posts and bookstores trying to find her work. He even kept the same phone number after being drafted so that she could contact him. He tried to move on but his heart belonged to her. He became on of the top NHL goalies with an amazing career but seeing his teammates find love made him miss Indie more. He wanted what they had but wouldn't settle for anyone else.

Indie chose to hide away from the world. As the daughter of two high profile movie stars she had faced public scrutiny all her life. They critiqued every part of her life making her feel unworthy. They loved to point out her supposed flaws and how see didn't fit the unhealthy hollywood stereotypical physique. She chose to keep her private life as quiet as possible and shied away from the spotlight. This irritated her ex so much because he wanted the spotlight and would use anyone to get it. She became a best selling author using a pen name that only select few knew, keeping it a secret from her media hungry parents as well. She never forgot Sebastian and still considered him her safe spot but she kept her distance.

Then in a moment of weakness when things at home became overwhelming indie chose to move to be closer to Sebastian. She had no intention of seeking him out but knowing that he was nearby was comforting. With her best friend's encouragement she even attended one of his games trying to stay incognito and out of the media's scrutiny. She didn't want him to know that she was there. Some how Sebastian could sense that she was near and he caught sight of her amongst the crowd. With just one look he knew that he had to find her. He wouldn't lose her again and enlisted his teammates to help with mission find Indie. He needed to know what happened all those years ago! He needed the woman who he had loved since he was a teenager.

After finding each other again Bash was extremely happy but Indie tried to protect herself from hurt. She was hesitant to let him in and refused to talk about the past. Slowly he regained her trust and the truth was revealed. To Indie's dismay, her reaction years ago had caused both of them unnecessary heartache. If she had just stayed the last decade could have looked completely different. Now they both have to decide what their futures will look like? Will Indie stay? Will she reveal her secret identity to Bash and her readers? Can she survive the media that comes with being a NHL WAG? Will they follow their hearts or allow external forces keep them apart again?

I loved Bash and Indie because they showed that people can overcome obstacles and learn from the past. I also loved that Bash's teammate and family welcomed Indie and Lola into their extended families immediately. They became part of the Rogues without questions though Griffin can be a lot. They have esch other's backs and the support is so unlike Hollywood.

The Rogues series is amazing and this book is a wonderful ending! Thank you Piper Hale for the ARC and the opportunity to review this book!

There are books that make you smile, books that make you swoon, and then there are books that quietly settle into your heart and refuse to leave. The Shot You Missed did exactly that.

Going into this book, I honestly didn't think anyone could top Lexi and Ryder for me. They've held the number one spot throughout this series, and I absolutely adored their story. Somehow, though, Sebastian and Indie managed to skate right beside them. At this point, I honestly can't choose between the two couples—they're tied for my favorite.

What made this story so unforgettable was Sebastian's unwavering love for Indie. The fact that he carried those feelings for more than a decade without ever letting them fade made every interaction between them that much more meaningful. His love wasn't loud or flashy—it was patient, steadfast, and completely selfless. Watching years of yearning finally turn into something real was incredibly rewarding.

Indie was another standout. As a plus-size heroine, she felt authentic, relatable, and beautifully written. Piper Hale didn't make her size the defining aspect of her personality, but she also didn't ignore the insecurities and inner dialogue that so many readers will recognize. That balance made her feel genuine. Even more importantly, Sebastian never viewed her through the lens of her body. He saw her wit, her kindness, her heart, and everything that made her uniquely *Indie*. He loved every piece of who she was, and that kind of representation felt refreshing and deeply meaningful.

The chemistry between these two was effortless. Their history added so much emotional weight, making every glance, every conversation, and every moment together feel earned. I found myself rooting for them from the very beginning, and by the time I reached the final pages, I had a permanent smile on my face.

Piper Hale has created another couple that will stick with me long after finishing the series. If you love friends-to-lovers, years of pining, emotional slow-burn romance, lovable characters, and a hero who falls hopelessly in love with the woman herself—not just what she looks like—this book absolutely delivers.

Sebastian and Indie have officially earned a place beside Lexi and Ryder as my favorite couple in the series. This story was heartfelt, tender, swoony, and a beautiful reminder that the best love stories are built on seeing—and loving—someone exactly as they are. Highly recommend.

I've loved this series since meeting Maddox and Isla in the first book, so finally getting Sebastian's story was everything I'd been hoping for. While I was beyond excited to read it, I was also a little heartbroken knowing this would be the final book in the series.

If you're a fan of hockey romance, second-chance love stories, lovable friend groups, and plenty of heart, The Shot You Missed by Piper Hale absolutely deserves a spot on your TBR.

Sebastian and Indigo completely stole my heart. They met as teenagers and instantly formed a friendship that became something incredibly special. They were each other's safe place through so many ups and downs until one heartbreaking misunderstanding changed everything. Watching Sebastian spend years wondering what happened while never giving up hope of finding Indie again made my heart ache.

When fate finally brings them back together, Sebastian is determined not to let her slip away a second time. The lengths he goes to just to be near her are equal parts hilarious, adorable, and completely swoon worthy. He is the definition of a book boyfriend, and I couldn't help but root for him every step of the way.

One of my favorite parts of this series has always been the incredible friendships, and this book delivers once again. Both Sebastian's teammates and Indigo's friends add so much warmth, humor, and heart to the story, and I loved watching everyone rally behind them. I also really enjoyed the side story involving Indigo's best friend, which added another layer to an already wonderful read.

This book is packed with heartfelt moments, witty banter, undeniable chemistry, and a hockey family you'll wish you could be part of. It was the perfect way to wrap up a series that has completely captured my heart, and while I'm sad to say goodbye, I couldn't have asked for a better ending.

Well, the hockey romance series continues on and continues to be a very enjoyable read.

If you have read any of my reviews, you will realize I am not a big fan of contemporary romance or sports-themed books at all. That being said, I really enjoy this series by Piper.

Indigo comes from a crazy situation, with her parents being actors and her getting the brunt of being their "less than perfect" child. The joy she finds in her life comes when her family spends their summers in Maine, where she meets Sebastian, this lovely guy her age who saves her from a swarm of gulls looking to steal her lunch. Every summer they reconnect and remain in touch through the years until a misunderstanding tears them apart.

Ten years later, Idie finds herself in a difficult situation with her parents getting divorced, and to avoid the unwanted attention, she decides to move away from L.A. and all the madness to Minneapolis, where the boy she fell in love with as a girl, and still cannot get out of her mind, lives and is the goalie for the pro hockey team, the Rivals.

I could go on and on here, but I hate giving any of the plot away. Suffice it to say, Idie has demons in the form of a negative inner voice. I think that is something many people can relate to, and I certainly can. It reminds you why communication is so important because we can never truly know what other people are thinking, and honestly, we have no right to let our own internal dialogue become their voice. I feel Piper is really good at tapping into this in this book.

Bash is the golden retriever boyfriend you dream of, and there is not much else to say about that except he is who I am rooting for in this book. He deserves the girl, and she deserves to have him in her corner, not only blocking shots for the Rivals but also for her.

The last story in this phenomenal series centers around Sebastian 'Bash' Navarro and Indigo Bloom, childhood friends who fell in love but never admitted it to each other and then it all fell apart due to a misunderstanding.

Ten years after being no contact Indie decides to go to Minnesota just to be in the same vicinity as Bash as he was always her safe place. From rescuing her from hungry seagulls at age 14, to supporting her when there were comments in the media about her not living up to the visual expectations placed upon her due to her parents being movies stars he was always there for her. Now her parents are going through a very public divorce and to escape the paparazzi stalking her she runs to Minnesota, not intending to meet up with Bash but just knowing he was in the same city would bring her comfort. However the idea of not meeting up with him again doesn't last long when Fate (and Griff) intervenes!

This is the story I have been waiting for! It was obvious that Bash was hurt by something or someone in his past, and he was certain he would never have the same kind of loving relationship that his team mates had found. Although Griffin will always be my favourite character, this story Bash's story, was my favourite. Bash was there for Indie throughout everything and his support never wavered, I definitely swooned more than once! I am so sad that this series has come to an end but the authors note at the end does reveal there is a spin off coming, so my eyes are peeled for that. It does make saying goodbye to the Rogues a little easier knowing we may see little cameos in the future!

Piper Hale is one of the first authors, whose books made me fall in love with sports romance. I absolutely love The Rogue series. I cannot choose a favorite book because each of them are so good and so special in their own way. Piper is a phenomenal writer who can hook her readers and really take them into the pages to the point I forget it’s not real. And to say that I have been dying for Sebastian‘s book is an understatement.

The love story between Indie and Sebastian is one that will stay with me for a long time. 10 years… he looked for her for 10 YEARS! Swoon! They fell in love and never truly fell out of it. But man did they have obstacles to overcome. The tension and the yearning was on point. The flashbacks were perfectly placed and added so much depth to their story. I love how everything unfolded so easily. I also appreciate that we don’t have to wait until 80% in to find out what happened in the past that tore them apart. So THANK YOU Piper for not dragging that on forever.

I truly enjoy the integration of the other character in the series. They are truly a family and I love how close they are. You can always count on Griffin to make you laugh and Maddox to be the voice of reason with G’s shenanigans. Adding Lola to the mix was such a great bonus! I love her and want to be her!

I’m so sad to say goodbye to this series but excited for what is to come! Can’t wait to see

Funny how a love story can begin and erupt all in the same place, Sebastian a young man of 14, stepped in to help out Indigo by getting the seagulls away from her that were trying to steal her sandwich. Every summer from then on they were the best of friends. The summer that Sebastian turned 16 he knew he care about Indigo more than just a friend. He wanted to wait until they graduated high school to tell her and ask her to be his girlfriend. Indigo was not a size 6 she had some extra weight on her and as her parents were famous movie starts, her confidence was lacking due to the rude things that had been written about her. The summer Sebastian wanted to tell Indigo, she got into town early and went to the beach just in time to see him being kissed. She turned and ran. Now Ten years later with her parents going through a divorce and we know how Hollywood divorces are so private not. Indigo and her best friend Lola head out to Minnesota to get away from the mess, what is the chance that Sebastian a well known hockey player and Indigo can meet again? Considering that Indigo is a well known/Unknown romance writer, she writes under a pen name and does not give interviews, and along with her ex trying to ride on her parents coattails at her expense. How can 10 years, doubt, hurt and an ex get them to where they need to be?

OMG this story was so heartfelt and unbelievably swoon worthy and I think we all need a Bash in our lives. Especially With the most cutest meet cute with Indie being rescued by seagulls as a child. Then there's that first reaction when Indie bumps into Bash after 10 years apart. luckily there's her fun friend Lola who was such a hoot to read and will help her get out her comfort zone in more ways than one. And i have to say i think this was my favourites story so far. Indie was just the sweetest character and i really felt like i could relate to so mush of the things she struggled with. And Bash was just the most caring, loyal and such a genuine character who'd do anything for her and a bit of a secret nurd which I just loved. But put him in a situation that involved Indie safety and he's all Alfa. There's Pleanty of drama and I realy didn't like her ex Ryland who's just out to cause trouble but luckily Indie and Bash have a family from the Rogues from the previous story's who'll be there for them no mater what and Griffin is still just the funniest to me and Indies biggest fan. I just think he can't help it especially teasing Maddox is just so funny. I love how each story has a happy ending and this one was gripping till the end and I loved how Indie and bash got there happy ending.

I am so happy the Bashy-cakes got his story! It’s been a long time coming and, it was worth the wait to see him get that HEA. Oh my starts the backstory. Any follower of this series just knew there was something there with Bash, but I know I wasn’t prepared for a story like that!

My only disappointment with the whole thing was Indigo. I struggled with her constant “woe-is-me” pity-partying. As a chronic over thinker with my own host of image issues, I get that the thoughts ingrained over a lifetime are intrusive always and speak loudest when my world is shifting. But, I also know how to give myself proverbial smack to remind myself that the thoughts are not the truth.

I think I was most disappointed by Lola. As a best friend, she let Indigo keep hurting herself by running and refusing to address her life. The show up in the middle of the night to do anything needed because I called and said there was a thing type of friend is also the friend that gives your the verbal smack down back to self-awareness and reality you need when your innermost thoughts have taken over. Indigo and Lola’s friendship lacked this I think, and so felt flat and a little selfish on Indie’s part.

All that aside, this was the swoony love story everyone needs to read to be reminded of love’s epicness and how it can transform life when you let it.

This was a sweet second chance romance between Indigo and Sebastian. They met the summer when they were fourteen and spent every moment together quickly becoming best friends. Each summer until senior year was spent together but a misunderstanding caused Indigo to ghost Bash.

Ten years go by before Indigo decides she needs to be in the same town as Bash, a goalie for the NHL. She needs to feel safe away from her famous parents messy divorce.

When her friend convinces her to attend one of his games she doesn’t expect him to notice her. When Bash sees Indigo after all these years he knows he can’t let her run again.

I really enjoyed the build up to their reuniting and becoming a team against all the negative. Being plus-sized Indigo does have some image issues, a lot of it is due to her famous parents and being in the public view.

Indigo and Bash have to talk through what happened ten years ago but Indigo is hesitant to relive the past. But working through it and starting to build their new future makes them stronger than ever.

Indigo does have some ex issues. He follows her to where she’s at trying to cause trouble for her. Luckily he gets put in his place by Bash and Lola, Indigo’s best friend.

I enjoyed this whole series and am sad that this is the last book but excited for the next series the author has planned.

Oh, how I adored Bash and Indy’s story! They met as teenagers when Indy, the daughter of two famous actors, spent summer vacation on an island off the coast of Maine, where Bash was working. It didn’t take long for them to become inseparable. They spent every summer together and texted some in between. A couple of years later, they both realize their feelings for each other have grown. At the end of their senior year, they both decide, independently, to reveal how deeply they care for each other. An unfortunate encounter pushes them apart. Ten years later, Indy needs to take a break from LA and heads to Minnesota, where Bash plays professional hockey, with her best friend. She never expects to actually see him…Indy just wants to feel closer to him because, despite what happened after high school, he always made her feel safe. When they see each other at one of Bash’s hockey games, they are pulled together, despite the years apart. They both have some personal baggage to overcome, and they have to deal with what drove them apart all those years ago. What remains true, though, is that they never stopped loving each other. Sweet and spicy and emotional. I love this team and the supportive, found family they have together. Loved it!!!

Great Second Chance Romance

This is the fifth book in this series of stand alones and once again I was hooked start to finish. We finally get Sebastian's story. Indigo is the girl he spent summers with as teenager. Just he was about to tell her how he feels she disappears on him. It's now ten years later and he still loves her. She also still loves him but feels he wronged her all those years ago. Still when she is hurting she rents a house in the city where he plays hockey to feel close to him and of course they find each other. Can they get past everything and finally get their HEA.

I think Indigo's bestie is really cool and love that we get a romance for her too.

I don't dislike Indigo but her low self esteem was a little much for me. I totally understand it but I felt it just overwhelmed the story after a while. Sebastian's devotion in the other hand completely made the story for me. You could absolutely feel that never stopped loving her so completely. I love how his teammates rallied around him. They are brothers even if not by blood. I loves that the wives and girlfriends just adopted her so quickly.

I LOVED this book. I've loved this series since the first book with Maddox and Isla and finally getting to know Sebastian was an adventure and sweet story. If you love hockey romance.. this is the book and series for you!

It's one of my favorite tropes of second chance romance and that's exactly what this is. Indigo Bloom is the daughter of movie stars and has always hated the spot light on her thanks to media tearing her apart for a different body type. Bash is the son of parents who work hard and are local to the town she was visiting. She meets Bash while on vacation for the summer when they're both 14. Every summer Indie would come back to Bar Harbor, ME and spend her summers with Bash. When they were 18, after senior year, they were ready to confess their feelings to each other when Indie sees something completely out of context and runs. For 10 years, they're both heartbroken for one another. Indie's parents have a scandal break and she wants to get away from LA and the circus that is the media and decides she wants to be closer to Bash even if she doesn't see him. Once there, things start falling into place for both of them.

What a perfect ending to the Going Rogue series by Piper Hale! I've been waiting for this book ever since we started getting teasers from Bash as a side character in previous books and this one did not disappoint at all! This whole month has been ridiculously overwhelming with amazing news releases - but don't let this one escape your attention. If you need a fluffy romance that still has some depth, Indie and Bash are here for you.

This is a second chance romance where the main characters met and became summer friends as teenagers, then due to a misunderstanding, were separated for ten years. I have to say, this is miscommunication trope done right. They don't take forever to actually act like adults, once they reconnect, and figure out what went wrong when they were younger (hallelujah). The story is much more focused on rebuilding what was lost and protecting their relationship from outside influence now that they have found each other again.

Bash is a famous athlete and Indie is the daughter of two A-list actors, so both understand having to live under a microscope of judgement (her, more so than him). She's built fortress level walls to protect her peace and is hesitant to let him in at first. Bash sees her, values her, understands her, and is not deterred. He proves his willingness to keep her safe time and again so that they can finally get their HEA.

I've read the entire series, and while it is entirely enjoyable, this final installment is my favorite. I know that there will be a spin-off series coming down the road and I am so here for it!

Second-chance hockey romance - and the last in the series 😭😭😭 I have loved meeting all the guys and galls in this series and I will be sad to see them go , but I am so happy they all found their person. Griffin will always be my favourite from this series, he was so funny and sweet in every book.

I really liked Indigo; she has some deep insecurities from growing up in the public eye. Sebastien is the ultimate protective guy, and he never stopped loving her during their time apart. Their chemistry is steamy, and the book gave me so many real laugh-out-loud moments when everyone is all together and messing with each other. The guys text messages had me laughing every time!

The big mystery of why they separated was a little frustrating..... but they were teenagers.....

The ending was sweet and gave me a happy, content feeling. It is a greaat conclusion to a great series, and I am definitely going to look out for whatever this author writes next!

🏒Shot to the heart 💗... Great read!!

This was my first introduction to the series, and what a fun read it was! As someone who doesn't understand the rules of hockey at all, that didn't matter one bit when it came to the rules of this second chance romance. Indigo + Sebastian captured my heart from the word go. Throw in a ride or die BFF (Lola) for Indie, who has witty/snarky banter for days, and I was all in lol. The friend group in general was pretty awesome! Both of these characters have amazing friends, and I loved seeing the dynamics at play. Watching them make their way through their issues, roadblocks, misunderstandings, and pests was fun. Especially seeing them with their friends cheering them on, and being protective of the relationship. I definitely give this two thumbs up.

The fifth and final book in the Going Rogue series and I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and this book may be one of my favourites of the series. Having watched everyone couple off and find love in the previous 4 books except for poor Bash, I’d almost given up hope of him getting his happy ever after but it was more than worth waiting for! From the first couple of chapters the story had me hooked and I just couldn’t put it down until I finished it. Indie was the most adorable FMC and her and Bash make the most perfect pairing, the way she sees nothing but her flaws and he just sees perfection warmed a special place in my heart.
As always there are comedy moments with the rest of the team and their familial banter, Griffin and his reaction to the romance novels had me laughing out loud.
Spice levels were great and a good balance with storytelling. A great read.

I loved this book so much. To a point where I thought Piper knew my thoughts because everything I want in a romance book, she writes. She writes every book perfectly in my eyes.

I don’t want to hear a single negative thing about Indie taking her time and overcoming her insecurities. I relate so bad and it’s so refreshing to read how she can love her body but still hear all of the people who tell her she shouldn’t.

Bash was steadfast in his love and spent years of yearning for the love of his life (still does even when she’s guarded and skittish). AHHHHHHHH!!!!! He loves her so much and puts her needs before anything and anyone else. Kill me. He’s perfect.

I love Bash & Indie. I love Lola. I love this found family. I LOVE THIS SERIES!!!!!!! I’m so sad it’s over, but can’t wait to see what Piper writes next ❤️🤩

Somehow, I just knew Bash’s story was going to be the best one. We’ve watched him throughout the series, the enigmatic one who absolutely had a story to tell.
Boy did his story not disappoint in the least!

I love how absolutely ALL in he was from the very start, and that nothing swayed him from his goal. It was nice to read a story where they communicate their misconceptions rather than let them continue to drag on through the book.

Indigo’s self confidence issues were written so well. It was easy to relate to her, and man did it make my heart melt to see how Bash loved her!

This book was spicy and sweet, with all the “found family” vibes of the rest of the team all together. It was wonderful to see the series end on such a high note.

Absolutely worth the read, and now it’s time to reread the whole series!

This is book 5, and I believe the last in Hale's Going Rogue series. A wonderful addition to the series that can be read as a standalone but each book in the series is interconnected. A well written hockey themed romance that is sure to captivate from start to finish. Our main characters are Sebastian (Bash) and Indy. I love that they have a history that goes back to when they were teens and while they were driven apart, their chemistry and love for one another never really went away. Hale delivers a well written, captivating and perfectly balanced romance. Plenty of sweet romance, steamy chemistry and all the feels. A wonderful read to a great series. I can't wait to see what Hale will write next!

Second Chance Hockey Romance - Loved it!
OMG Sebastian is the ultimate swoon worthy book boyfriend. This was a lovely read. Chaotic, yes I'm talking about out FMC's best friend Lola, what a hoot. And our poor FMC, Indigo, who's been through the press and paparazzi ringer her entire life. Constantly bashed for her weight, looks, parents success and her ordinary-ness. There are so many thing to love about this book. Sebastian has never given up on her in 10 years, and now that he's found her, won't let her go again. (No third act breakup thank goodness, my heart couldn't have handled it). Smarmy ex who gets what's coming to him. And a found family that rallies around our couple and makes it amazing. Definitely 5 star read for me.

The Shot You Missed is the fifth book in this series! I believe each book just gets cuter and cuter. I love these hockey based M/F romances!

I absolutely love a second chance romance! So when a misunderstanding is clarified and fixed it's the best. Indie and Sebastian let ten years go by and I think it makes things sweeter when they reconnect.

I liked the part where Indie's Hollywood parents' fame had a lasting effect on her. It showed that unkind words don't just hurt...they can impact a person's emotional and mental health. And I loved how sensitive Sebastian was to it and how he wanted to protect her. I also like that the author addressed the way they both put pressure on themselves...on the ice and off.

Wow what a love story, seriously so good. Indie (for FMC) as a teen summers in Maine she becomes best friends with Sebastian. Bash is the quintessential golden retriever book boyfriend. Indie becomes an easily spooked cat. Slowly over the years they both develop feelings but don't tell the other. Then right before their last summer together they stop talking and don't see each other for 10 years. Why does she see him again well her life is in turmoil and she just needs to be near him. Her and her best friend leave LA and stay in Minnesota where Bash plays hockey. From there his obsession, I mean love, hits full throttle again. There are conversations that need to happen, confidence that needs reinvigorating, and hearts that need mending.

Ok yeah I've read all the books in this series so far and by far I think this is the best one but I've loved all honestly. It features a hockey goalie MMC and he is finding back the love of his life. A decision 10 years ago has followed him around but his luck might change as Indie walks back into his life and now he is willing to fight for it. Loving second chances but the story around this one is really good. Indie is trying to escape paparazzi and so goes to a city where she can remain anonymous. However that same city is home to the guy who broke her heart. Now is she willing to give him a second chance and put her heart on the scale again? It is a standalone but characters do cross over. Love this one!

So happy to see Sebastian get his story! I love him and Indie, and how he treats her bestie, Lola. He is so inclusive, and protective of them both. The chemistry between Indie and Bash is HOOOT! I love the second chance vibes, and the miscommunication in this. I love how Bash addresses it, and the scene where they reconnect after? Chef's kiss! The banter between all the hockey guys, and their girls, and Lola being a phenomenally hilarious bestie had me laughing out loud throughout the whole story! I love how Indie is a little bigger, and how Bash loves her curves, and doesn't see size as a worry. There were some hiccups, but I absolutely adored this story, and this couple. This has been an amazing series!
