Sky survived twenty years in a laboratory, long enough to learn that kindness can be a weapon, silence a shield, and secrets a form of control. Just as she begins to taste freedom, it is ripped away again.
Sky’s past is not what anyone believes it to be. What was done to her did not break her. It forged her into something dangerous, something no one was prepared for. And when the truth comes out, nothing will be the same.
All Sky wants is to get back to her sister, Onyx, the one constant in her life, the person she loves above all else. But freedom comes at a cost. It means asking Onyx for the one thing Sky has never demanded before. Blind trust. The willingness to let her go.

Kolton survived twenty years without his Sacar.
Bound to a connection he never understood. Fueled by a rage he never mastered. Reuniting with Sky was supposed to save him. Instead, it fractures what little control he has left.
Kolton’s ferality was never an accident. His past is soaked in violence and guilt, and no matter how deeply he buries it, it refuses to stay dead. The closer he gets to Sky, the more the monster inside him claws to the surface.
As they fight their way back to each other, they uncover a bond older and far more dangerous than anyone was ever meant to carry.
And when the lies finally crack open, the truth is impossible to escape.

They were wrong about everything.

S.M. Storm is a Michigan writer who loves all things dark, magical, and a little bit spooky. She’s been writing her entire career, but her favorite experience has been this one, where she gets to weave together vampires, shifters, and the kind of slow-burn romance that makes you yell at the page.
When she’s not writing, she’s cheering on her son at soccer, rewatching her favorite comfort shows (with a fairy-tale ending, always), and dragging her husband into endless coffee shops.
Sacar is her debut novel and the start of The Marked Bonds Series, a paranormal romance and urban fantasy world full of secrets, bonds, and, most importantly, tension.

Sky & Kolton

Right off the ending of SACAR, we pick up with Sky and her kidnapping. But we sure weren’t prepared for just who was behind it. And not just one…. But a few. Secrets will be coming out and none of us were prepared for it.

Kolton is angry. Angry because Onyx won’t shut up about her sister. Angry because he wants to be the one to protect Sky. Angry because everyone is just sitting.

So what happens when Kolton and Sky end up together?
And why does it smell sweet?
And who is at the head of this… place?
Didn’t we burn it all to the ground?

A story worth telling. A romance for the ages. Grip your hair. Kick your feet. Pick up your jaw from the floor. And get ready for the ride of your life.

Because it’s not done yet. And just because we found out one secret, doesn’t mean there’s not more buried.

Thank you to S.M Storm for the ARC of her sequel- PRIMARC. To the compound and back- I’m so incredibly blessed to be a part of your Street Team. I’m ready.

ARC Review
I received this book as an ARC from the author SM Storm.

“Primarc” is SM Storm’s sequel to “Sacar,” and this book follows Onyx’s sister Sky and her guardian Kolton, a tiger shifter who was adopted by Dayken’s clan of wolf shifters.

First, I really enjoy the premise of this book and my favorite new character was Bailey, a mongoose shifter who was introduced as an ally who played a big role (despite her small size) in freeing our main characters multiple times.

I really enjoyed the romance scenes between Sky and Kolton, they’re somewhat opposites and she is a very sweet salve to his wild nature. More of that!

One thing I struggled a lot with in this book was the lack of development and connectivity between the plot and overall story(lines?). I did not feel like I learned anything else about Kolton and why and how he was gone for so long looking for Sky especially since all of the glimpses into the history that led him to be partially “feral” was constantly interrupted by Sky in dreams. (Which… not bad but it did take away from the story)

So to explain, Kolton has dreams where he reflects on his experiences where he was looking for Sky, and what he did during this time he is not proud of. He doesn’t think he’s worthy of Sky’s love due to the violence he committed and people he hurt while looking for her. However, this story line is written in a way that makes the story disjointed and makes it really hard for the reader to follow.

Also, I really wanted more from the fox clan!!! I think I’m kind of in love with Titus. I NEEED a sequel about Titus!

Finally, I enjoy learning more about the different shifter clans and there were more fighting scenes in this book that show the power of the shifters and vampires and how they use their powers together to outsmart whoever they’re fighting. That was something I really wanted to see after “Sacar.” All in all, I will continue to read this series because I enjoyed the story and the lore, especially because I’m still so curious about this world where the bonding isn’t based on romance!!!!

Thank you Storm for the Advanced Reader Copy of Primarc!

Primarc by S.M. Storm picks up right where Sacar left off and throws you straight back into the action. Storm did such a great job expanding the history and backstory in book two without ever slowing the pace down. And the twists?! There were a few right from the beginning that completely caught me off guard… one in particular had me ready to throw the book across the room...🙄

Kolton is the ultimate grumpy, feral-but-secretly-cinnamon-roll tiger MMC, while Sky is a quietly reserved badass who constantly surprises you. Don’t mistake her calm, observant nature for weakness — she’s strong, clever, and always thinking three steps ahead.

Both characters go through so much emotional growth, but Kolton’s depth really stood out to me. His inner monologue was one of my favorite parts of the entire book — equal parts angry, chaotic, emotional, and unintentionally hilarious.

And the chemistry between Kolton and Sky? Absolutely FIRE 🔥. Their connection, tension, and overall growth together were chef’s kiss perfection.

Once again, the found family vibes and side characters are just as important as the main storyline. Titus has me completely undecided right now — this sneaky fox definitely feels like he’s hiding something, and I’m very interested to see what role he plays moving forward. Bailey may be tiny and unintentionally hilarious, but she plays such a big role in book two and quickly became a favorite. And Chase & Derek? What’s not to love about those two?

I genuinely didn’t want to put Primarc down. It had me laughing out loud, kicking my feet, and fanning myself the entire time. If you haven’t started The Marked Bonds Series yet… what are you waiting for?!

I received an advance review copy from the author, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

❤️ World Building: The world is much the same as in book one. It’s still very dark and gritty, still a lot of confinement and torture. It really brings you into the story.

❤️ The Characters: This book is about Sky and Kolton, and they are amazing! We really get to see who she is in the book, and she is amazing! She really stands out, because she is wicked smart, tough, but still maintains her bubbly personality. Kolton is pretty much feral after all his time trying to find Sky on his own. He tries to keep his distance because he doesn’t think he's worth her. There are also some new side characters that I absolutely loved! I can’t wait to read more about them in the next book!!!

❤️ The Story: This was a faster paced book that really kept me guessing as to what was going to happen next. With every question answered, more questions appeared! I enjoyed seeing the little teases of where the next book is going as well. I read both books in one weekend, I just couldn’t get myself to do anything else!

❤️‍🔥Overall: I’m SO in love with this series, and you need to add it to your TBR today!

Mongoose Fact Inspired by Bailey: Mongooses are formidable opponents for snakes largely because of speed and agility, which helps the mongoose avoid the reptiles' fangs and launch quick attacks when sensing an opening. But some mongoose species also have an extra advantage: They've evolved resistance to neurotoxic snake venom and keep fighting even after receiving a bite that would kill most animals their size. I received PRIMARC as an ARC from Author S.M. Storm. Thank you so much!

4.5⭐️

PRIMARC is the sequel to SACAR and book 2 in The Marked Bonds Series. This book starts where Sacar ends following Sky(our sister from book 1) and Kolton, her guardian and feral tiger shifter. I love the bond between Sky and Kolton being reinforced by Kolton’s inner monologue. Kolton feels so unworthy of Sky because of the terrible things he has done in his past but Sky accepts all the dark parts. I feel like we get to go on a journey of self acceptance right along with Kolton. I found myself wanting even more Kolton. S.M. Storm has such a knack for writing multi dimensional characters - main characters and side characters alike. Our MMC, Kolton is chaotic and completely feral, but getting an immersive look into his mind was truly special. Honestly, he may be my favorite main character in the series so far. The side characters in S.M. Storm’s books are also hilarious. I found myself laughing out loud at Bailey! A mongoose! Really! A mongoose! I am here for it!!! I couldn’t put this story down! I need to know more about the Foxes… basically, I just need more info! Without revealing too much, this book ends on a cliffhanger and I need book 3 asap. I really enjoyed this book and the new take on vampires and shifters that S.M. Storm provides.

This book completely pulled me in. I loved the first book about Onyx, but getting Sky and Kolton’s story made me even more attached to this world. The emotional connection between them felt so strong the entire time. You could really feel how much Kolton was falling apart after Sky disappeared. Since protecting her is literally his purpose, the guilt and desperation he carried hurt to read at times.
I also loved that Sky never felt weak. Even while trapped, she kept fighting back and refusing to break, and the scenes between her and Kolton had so much emotion behind them. Their bond honestly became my favorite part of the book.
The deeper look into Sky and Onyx’s past was another huge highlight for me. Finding out the torture and experimentation from the first book was only part of a much bigger history made everything feel darker and more emotional.
Kolton’s character arc was probably what hit me the hardest though. He truly believes he’s done too many terrible things to deserve love, so watching Sky accept every part of him and seeing him slowly start to forgive himself was really powerful.
Overall, this book had action, heartbreak, tension, and so much emotional depth. It made me care even more about these characters, and now I desperately need the next book. ✨

ARC review.

I received this e-arc from author SM Storm. Firstly, thank you so much to the author for the privilege of reading Primarc.

Where to start? Well, this book centers around our fmc Skylar and mmc Kolton. We pick up where we left off in book one with Skylar being held captive. I am so loving Sky and her brilliance. This girl is cunning and not to be underestimated, as she’s shown time and time again. But she also is not arrogant to think she doesn’t need anyone’s help. The dynamic with Kolton is a fiery work in progress, both in teaching him she isn’t a delicate damsel and in showing him the beauty in accepting their relationship.

Now Kolton. The growth and setback we see throughout with him is a breath of fresh air. His development isn’t linear, much like real life. He does acknowledge shortcomings, tries to work through, but will stumble. He does give Skylar the respect she deserves, and they work as a team throughout. I would have loved more of a deep dive into him and his past so I could feel like I really knew him. But I feel that elusiveness may have been intentional.

And Bailey!!! We need more of that adorable mongoose.

Thankyou for my opportunity to ARC read this novel!

Primarc is book two in the The Marked Bonds series. This book was as gripping as the first and got immediately into the action and picked off where Sacar ended.

I absolutely loved the switch in narration to Sky and Kolton and hearing from them made me feel so much more attached to this world and the characters. I loved Koltons POV and seeing him slowly heal and begin to be kinder to himself. I loved the chemistry between Sky and Kolton and really hope to see more of them

Same as book 1 the side characters were absolutely brilliant and added so much to the story and brought excellent banter and comedy to the novel.

Still got huuuuuuge underworld vibes from this book so if you like those movies then please please read this!!

Ended on a cliffhanger (boo!) So really need book 3 asap! Can't wait to dive into the minds if more characters and hope to see more of the sisters in the future!

Primarc is the second book in The Marked Bonds series and focuses on Sky and her guardian, Kolton. The relationship between Sky and Kolton is a prime theme for the second book while they continue their search for answers to the sisters’ family secrets. Kolton is a rougher character and has his own internal demons he fights. His dedication to Sky might be their undoing though. The pair has to overcome not only the physical threats but also the demons Kolton fights within his mind. S.M. Storm brings additional depth to the Marked Bonds world, and answers are rewarded with still more questions. The pace was a little slower for me than Sacar, but I was still an invested reader and I cannot wait to see what new discoveries await in book 3.

Thank you S.M. Storm for providing and advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

This books was a roller coaster ride with so many twists I never saw coming!

It starts off where the last book ends with Sky being kidnapped. Unlike the first time she was taken as a child this time it’s not to be experimented on. Kolton, her tiger guardian, has to find her before it’s too late.

I absolutely loved the dynamic between these two characters and how they evolve to become better versions of themselves in their relationship. Kolton is a feral tiger as we know in the first book and remains that way but developing a soft spot only for Sky. And Sky? She is a badass nobody expects to be able to protect herself in the beginning. She really grows into herself as the story progresses and becomes an amazing Sacar.

I will definitely be (impatiently) waiting around for the next book in the series! I can’t wait to see how the next story progresses and the twists that will come.

Advanced Reader Copy received from the Author:

Sky is a whole mood as a character. I appreciate her scheming and her willingness to use anything and everything at her disposal in a situation.
The characters focused on in this book were flawed but more interesting. Kolton is clearly unhinged by how the characters react to him but it comes off as golden retriever or even a shade of Josh from Lights Out. More of Sky, Kolton, Bailey and even John and the Lion Clan please!
The Magic System and lore of this series has been thought out and I like the politics of it. I still think of Underworld for its backstory and I am interested where that goes.
The balance of plot and spice is on point where the chemistry and style of spice is working and exciting. Hope to see more of these same POVs in the next book and can’t wait to see what Titus has been up to!

Primarc picks up right where Sacar left off. Sky is still missing, no one knows who took her, and we get the pleasure of seeing things through the point of view of Kolton and Sky.

Kolton continues to fight the feral and primal urges within him while Sky tries to figure out why she was taken and what the end game is.

New alliances, unexpected enemies, secrets, and delicious tension will have you flying through this story and waiting on book 3 (like me). The layers that are peeled back from both characters will make you want to put on pearls just to clutch them. The inside of Kolton’s mind is the true definition of Rewarding Chaos and he has definitely become my new favorite!!

I don’t know what magic S.M. Storm puts into her books, but you’ll definitely be left wanting more!

Book two Sister Sky and Kolton POV. So good same pace as book one which I love. I also liked how the beginning of the story we get more in depth of how the bond was started and towards the end we get to know how the sisters became to be who they are. I was also so happy to have the twins back. Derek still non serious as ever. Then there was Bailey. She is so cute and forgetful definitely going in my list of favorite characters. This book is so so good I need book three I'm so glad it's not over not ready to say goodbye to these characters yet.

Thank you to the author for such a great read Definitely have a new fan.

I had the awesome opportunity to be given this as an ARC reader again! And I'll review the same as I had for Sacar...no spoilers!
I loved how this book picked up right at the end of Sacar. Sometimes books either go too far back, repeating what you've already read, or they lapse too much in the future, and you feel like you've missed too much! I loved the difference in the feel between Sky and Kolton vs Dayken and Onyx. The burn was gooood, especially when they finally gave in! And how it's written really helped fully immersing myself!
I devoured this book in 2 days, which tells you it's truly captivating and you can't stop until you know what comes next! Can't wait for the next one!

I was honored to be a voluntary ARC reader for this incredible book that created a space to dive from book 1 right into this book 2 with Sky and Kolton. This book follows these two characters on a journey from childhood trauma to adulting at its finest on a whole different level and playing field. This book reminds me of some of my very fav books when I was younger and took me into a place where I felt part of this book and part of the characters.

Sky is a very relatable character for many people. I loved watching this book unfold as her being the main character with Kolton as her fearless “person”. Kolton, as well, goes through many growth journeys and if you can relate to this… this is a book for you!

There was just enough “spice” to create a fun back and forth tug of war if you will but also the plot twists and the way the author creates these incredible characters (mongoose!!! My fav!) with humor and fearlessness sucked me in and I’m ready to take on book 3!

I highly recommend this one (read the first book then obviously this one!) … you’ll totally get why I am already looking so forward to the next adventure!

Primarc was definitely not what I expected,
In a good way. Did not disappoint!
This book kept me up all night, I finished it in 2 days! Perfect follow up from Sacar.
I really love the development of the main characters. That sweet and innocent little sister, Skylar from book 1, is gone! She is definitely a formidable FMC in Primarc. Her take charge attitude with her never give up personality had me from page 1.
MMC Kolton, the feral, unhinged tiger shifter, is so intense, so passionate, and hides nothing! I love that his passion for Sky is purr worthy.

I can’t wait to see what S M Storm does with the next book!

Love the story of Kolton & Sky.💯 This 2nd installment shows that Sky is more than a shadow of her sister Onyx, she's as strong as her. And Kolton!! OmG! Is a tortured soul!! And he will do anything to defend Sky, with her, he truly shows his potential, especially now that he knows that Dayken got his back, since he love him as a brother!❤️. The way Kolton & Sky conquered their fear and fought together to protectand keep they must treasure connection. Now together and reunited with their found family they are ready to find Crowe and stop his plans one's and for all! Can't wait for the next installment......

I loved the dynamic and fast pace of this book. Kept me hooked from start to finish. The characters were well developed and the story worked very well. I will admit I jumped straight in at book 2, so haven't read book one in the series but there was no confusion as to what was happening or the storyline. Can't wait to read what follows.

I received this as an ARC and am voluntarily leaving this review.

I AM COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY INVESTED IN THIS SERIES! The only complaint I have is that I have to wait til the next book to figure out what happens. Primarc is the second book and it follows Sky and Kolton’s journey. I found myself laughing out loud at some of Kolton’s banter and I couldn’t get enough. The author does an amazing job with each detail of the characters and has created a captivating world of shifters and vampires.

I received this as an ARC. All opinions are my own.

This is book 2 in The Marked Bonds series and it absolutely explodes the story by flipping perspectives. We jump into another pair of characters and suddenly all those odd behaviors from Book 1 make sense. Being inside their heads gives you the insight you didn’t even know you needed. But the genius is this... just when you think you have a grip, the author refuses to let you rest.

This series is a wild ride that never fully lets you piece it all together. I need Book 3.

I enjoyed this book. I like the character development and the storyline. This book added to the storyline and built on the background of what was going on with the characters. I preferred Sky and Kolton to Onyx and Dayken. Both books kind of leave you on a cliffhanger, and I will be reading the next one when it comes out!

Thanks to the author for giving me the opportunity for this ARC! But....I absolutely hate to say it had to DNF.

I mostly enjoyed the first book and I was really curious about Sky and Kolton's story.... but i just wasn't into it. I got almost halfway and it wasn't clicking. It felt like everything was a bit.... rushed. And jumped from one thing right into another without a smooth transition
