For me, this was such a beautiful story of love, loss and HOPE. I really feel that it is best to go into this book blind, because all the emotions that I felt were so real and I am glad that I didn't know what to expect or what was going to happen.

Prepare to feel sad though, it was such a devastating read but don't fear because the journey is so worth it for the end result.

This is Bailey's story and one that I connected too right from the first chapter. The emotional turmoil gripped me and I felt as though I was right there with her through all her highs and lows. Her absolute love and her inner guilt mixed with confusion and something that she never thought she could feel again. It was so touching.

"I struggled to know what was real and how much of it could have been from desperation."

I would have given this a full five stars, but to be honest I needed more. I could have easily done with an extra 50 -100 pages because I feel the author skipped out some vital parts of the H and h story which I would have absolutely loved to read about.

This is a standalone, told solely in Bailey's POV

ARC gratefully received in exchange for an honest review

~ 5 Emotional Stars ~

Let me just start this review with this thought for you….make sure when you read Happily Ever NEVER that you have both tissues and chocolate handy. You WILL need both!!!

Jennifer Foor is still one of my all time favorite authors and I will read anything she writes. I have to say that I absolutely LOVED the Mitchell Family and many of her stand-alones, but I think Happily Ever Never has to be my MOST FAVORITE of all her books. This story just spoke to me, because it is a story that could truly happen in real life.

This story was a story about finding love, loss, grief, learning to move on, and finding love when you least expect it. This was the emotional journey of a woman who fell in love with a man, only to have him tragically taken away from her the day before her wedding. This book will tear your heart out, but don't fret, Jennifer Foor will put it back together by the end. We get to see how a person learns to move on after losing the love of her life and how support and love can come from the most unlikely of sources.

This is a quick read and is a book that I had a hard time putting down. Unlike most of Jennifer's other books, this book really relied on the emotions of the characters and not the physical aspect of relationships. There is sex in this book, but it really takes a back seat to the feelings you get when you this story. What I love about Jennifer and her writing is that she has the ability to give us different types of stories. She not afraid of tackling some of the tougher subjects in a book. Her books almost seem like they are plucked right out of real life. Whenever I pick up a Jenn Foor book I know I'm in for an emotional roller coaster and that all my emotions and feelings are going to come out while reading the book.

I don't want to say too much about the storyline of this book, because this is a book you need to go into blind. Happily Ever NEVER is a Stand-alone novel. It is definitely a journey that you want to go on. So I would say this book is a MUST READ!!!!

4.5 heart wrenching stars!

ok I admit I was sniffling away uncontrollably after reaching the 40% mark. After that point I couldn't put the book down reading into the early hours!

A real heart wrenching storyline with Bailey being one truly amazing character. Her journey through life is so touching and every step leaves you loving her and wanting her pain to ease.

A great novel, I'll be looking into other books by this awsome author!

This really is somewhere between two and three stars, but I'll be generous and lean toward three.

Major, Vince and Bailey are in an odd love triangle. We see Major and Bailey meet and fall in love. Vince, who is Major's best friend, is like a brother to Major. Bailey states that she doesn't like Vince because he is a jerk to her, but all I see is Bailey act like a bitch to him. He seems like the typical, romance-novel, guy best friend to me wno does nothing for her to dislike him so much.

Then Major dies. She, of course, blames Vince and again is a total bitch to him, even unbelievably cruel. Then, a tragic twist happens, and he admits he loves her. It makes little sense.

The first half of the book is slow. The second is a whirlwind. I felt no reason to root for the second couple.

It also doesn't seem the normal Foor novel. It's not necessarily a bad thing, just different. One expects a certain level of sexy from her. Here, that level rates really low. I can appreciate an author stepping away from her norm if it's done well. This wasn't terrible, but if an author is going to make that transition, she should at least take time to develop relationships so the reader feels a vested interest in watching the story unfold.

I just wanted it over.

A favourite book for me. Tissues at the ready, such an emotional read. Major, so charming and kind......the guy every mother wants her daughter to marry. Vince an arse but time and circumstances changed him.

“I’m okay if you never stop loving him, just as long as it’s me who gets to be there to pick up the pieces.”
For as long as I’m breathing I’m going to be there for her and Trey, because I love them. They’re my family now.”

Happily Ever Never by Jennifer Foor
4.5 stars!!

“I don’t care how this came to be. I don’t care what everyone will say. I know how I feel when I’m with you; how it feels to be in your arms.”
“How does it feel?”
“Right.”

Well, I was not prepared for that... even though the title in itself gives an inkling into the subject matter and the blurb has a few clues, nothing could have prepared me for the emotional onslaught that I just put myself through. I am a tear jerker junkie, the more tears the better, I love to feel those emotions, I love to live those emotions and this one ticked those boxes. I lived and breathed this story, I cried like a baby for the majority of the book, much to my husband’s amusement (he just doesn’t understand). But underneath all those tears was a beautiful story.

This is predominantly a story of love and loss in a variety of guises; this is a book about second chances but most of all this is a book about hope. Yes, you have a tumultuous journey to get there but at the end, I felt hope.

“Why are you doing this for me? Why would you want to give me hope?”

Bailey was such an amazing character, you could tell from the get go that she was a feisty woman underneath that geeky, laboratory technician coat. Love and men in general had been on the back burner for her for years; she threw herself into her job and worked all the hours to keep herself busy. Her friend decided to stage an intervention and made her join a dating website. After the first date Bailey knew this wasn’t for her and yet the gods above staged their own divine intervention. You never know when you will find love and boy when it hit, did it hit.

“It’s ridiculous and leaves you with bad breath. How will I know if the guy I’m hanging out with has coffee breath or gingivitis?”

I cannot go into this story at all, this is a story that you need to go into blind, totally blind. Bailey runs the gamut of emotions throughout this book and such was the way that this book was written, I felt them all too. There are some amazing highs in this book, but there are also some devastating lows. Jennifer Foor evokes every single emotion throughout this book, those giddy highs, those soul destroying lows, confusion, guilt but most of all love.

“I’d rather fear the worse than assume the best and be let down.”

There were some amazing characters in this book, Major was to die for, he was such an amazing character both on the inside and out. Vince, the player best friend, whose humour was much needed throughout such an intense read. The Italian family unit, so close, so loyal but so welcoming. All the hesitance and reticence was unfounded and the way that these people pull together in times of crisis was incredibly heart-warming.

“We had a moment, why don’t you just admit it?”

Jennifer Foor really nailed the character connection in this book, I have loved her Mitchell Family series and this one has that similar family feel. Family is so important and that is hammered home once again in this book. That intense soul mate connection radiated from the pages and the gamut of emotions that she manages to evoke are over-whelming at times. As I said above despite the tears, I loved everything about this book, the plot and the characters just spoke to me on that all-consuming level. The only reason this is not a five star for me is that I wanted more towards the end. This book could have easily been 100 pages longer and I wouldn’t have minded, I felt for the characters involved their story was really just beginning and I wasn’t ready to let go. I hope that Jennifer Foor revisits these characters, I want more, I need more...gimme more...pretty please!

OMG you need lots of tissues for this one. There are many stories that you love to hate and hate to love and this is definitely one of them. It shares the following types of love: new love, true love, angry love, lost love, hurt love, and out of no where love. If you need a tear read, this is definitely it.

Emotional doesn’t even begin to describe this book. I spent a good 200 of these pages bawling like an idiot. Also, just know that you’re going to need a clean shirt or a basket full of tissues near you. The story was beautiful, sweet, gut wrenching and wholesome.

You could feel the pain that Bailey was going through as she tried to make sense of the tragedy. I mean, it would have been bad if this shit happened in the beginning of the book – BUT NO. You get to see Major & Bailey fall in love. You get to see how sweet and kind he is. You get to feel how deeply they love each other and look forward to the rest of their lives together. And then your heart is ripped from your chest. I think this was the part where I started attempting to regulate my breathing to hide the hiccup sobs.

Vince is Major’s best friend and a major dick. Calling him a womanizer is actually sort of kind to man-whores. He’s crass, tasteless and rude, but he’s like Major’s brother so Bailey puts up with him. You see where the book is headed, but it’s actually more complicated than you think. I was amazed with Bailey’s bravery, encouraged by her good heart, and uplifted by her actions. Vince also undergoes some major changes of his own – which were so very welcomed.

I seriously loved this book but it doesn’t get the full five stars from me because I feel like we missed out on a few really important parts of Vince and Bailey’s relationship. I sort of understand why the author did it, but I still feel that reading those parts would have been beautiful in its own way. Even though this story is pretty damn sad, it’s really well done. It’s about how to move on from tragedy – how to learn to love again and what that love looks like. This book grabs a hold of your heart and doesn’t let go – go read! BRING TISSUES.

Where do I begin....?
Bailey is this strong independent woman who ends of finding the man of her dreams by accident. Major is the man that sweeps Bailey off her feet and is going to make her is wife and have lots of babies. Then something horrible happens and changes Bailey's live forever. I have to stop or else I will never stop and then I will ruin it for you.
Let me just start by saying I sat down and told my mother all about this book and while I was telling her about it I was an emotional wreak. This book is so tragically beautiful and it was written perfectly. There is so much that I want to say but I know that if I do then I will spoil it for you all and I would never want to do that.
I will tell you that there is a part in this story that will leave you with your mouth hanging wide open and you will sit there and say... "Did she really just do that to her". I will not lie I was mad and I did yell at my kindle. I was an emotional wreak during these few chapters because the author did such an amazing job writing this book and tell this story that you can feel the characters emotions.
As mad as I was I couldn’t have asked for a better ending. It is crazy how you can read a book and then sit back and say...yup if that happens to me I so want this to eventually happen. I can promise you that once start this book you will not put it down. Then when you are done with this book you will talk about it to someone, for sure!
Hands down top 5 of 2015 reads right here....No joking!

I chose to read this book because I like the brooding books, sometimes. This is definitely one of those books.

So Bails has finally found the love of her life, just to lose him right before their wedding. Literally, right before their wedding. Heartbreaking, right? Well, yeah it definitely was. Now she has to find her way back to the land of the living... The twist? Haha... I can't tell you that.

So, characters and storyline. I loved the storyline. It is the perfect recipe for a great book. The only thing is, it needs supporting characters to drive it home. I am about to be honest, and I am sure many will disagree. This is just my opinion. I didn't like Bails. Not one bit. She was TOO broody for me. Too whiney. Too self-centered for this story. I truly couldn't stand her! As for all of the other characters? I loved them! They couldn't fit better. Her best friend, perfect. Major, perfect. Major's mom, perfect. Major's best friend, perfect.

Other than my disdain for Bails, this really is a great book. A little too broody at some points. I just wanted to slap Bails in the face and tell her to get over herself. Other than that, I laughed, I got teary-eyed. This is definitely a book to read if you want a little bit of every emotion. And you will get many different emotions in this one!

Happily Ever Never by Jennifer Foor is my favorite book that she has written. As I sat reading this emotional book I was choking on my tears. This book wrecked me. But it also made me smile in the end. Happily Ever Never is not necessarily never.

This is a story of life, love, and the once in a lifetime love that touches the root of your soul. It is also a story of the gift of life. The renewed hope that comes with time. The hope that comes with a new life.

It is also a story of hate and mistrust that evolves into a deep rooted friendship. A deep rooted friendship that gives another kind of love that is equally important.

It is also a story of fear. The fear of death and the fear of life.

I am not going to say too much more because it would give too many spoilers. All of the characters in this story will touch your soul.

Jennifer dug deep and gave the readers an experience of life, love, and the hope of happiness.

I highly recommend Happily Never Ever.

No spoilers! Highly recommend to all. If you like books that really make you feel the words as if it could happen to you, then you must read this book! Caution, you need a box of tissues not just a few. Some judged the heroine as whiney and honestly, I strongly disagree with their assessment because how does one know how they would react if this happened to them and it could happen to anyone. This is as real and raw as a story can get. I thought Bailey handled herself beautifully, when she flipped out I would've too, possibly more than she did. I took so many breaks when reading this because of the sobbing, I had to regain my composure to continue reading. I'm so glad I read it but I can't read it again, honestly it fried my brain. After reading hundreds of books only a few I remember the storyline and the characters, this may be the greatest I've read so far because of the emotions, crying like that, sobbing? Wow! Don't let the title discourage you, read it. Don't read spoilers please, it will ruin the story for you.

I will be honest, I had a hard time getting into this book. It wasn't that the author's writing was horrible or anything like that. This book was beyond well written. I just had a hard time with the story. Bailey falls in love with Major, things happen. She moves on but with some one she despised at the start. It is really hard to write a review with out giving spoilers. I HATE putting spoilers in reviews.
There were a lot of moments where I would scream, yell, and want to cry just because of the actuality of the pain that this whole book portrayed. My heart couldn't take it if something like this had happened to myself or anyone I know. It is a heart breaking tail of love, life, death, loss and rebirth essentially. Please do not get me wrong.. it is a great book.. just a story that's very hard to comprehend as it is so tragic and painful.

***** 5 HOOKED STARS*****

Happily Ever Never by Jennifer Foor is a book of Love, Heartbreak, Despair,
Gut wrenching agony, Hope and pure strength. An amazingly well written story
of true love, that had me in absolute sobbing tears, reaching for the
tissues and thankfully being in the comfort of my bed and not in public
(cause wow that could have been bad). The true emotions that were written
about jumped out at you and it was like you were living right alongside the
gorgeous Bailey. We all wanted the dream book boyfriend of Major (just his
name is enough to fall in love with him, let alone all his other amazing
qualities) and Vince, mmmm I did love him to. This is a book that will be
have you curled up in the corner and locked away from everyone so drawn in
and living another life.

5 STARS!!!! Best Book of 2015 by FAR!!!!

I cannot even begin to stress how amazing this book is, Jennifer completely set the bar to an astronomical unattainable level and I can only hope that my review can do this book a fraction of the worthiness it is due. Let me first warn you to get your tissues ready and be prepared to sit down and completely devour this novel because there is no stopping point once you start I promise you are going to want to finish in one sitting.

“I feel like the luckiest man God sent you to me.”

This book starts with Bailey who has come to the realization that she will spend her life alone and one day become the crazy cat lady and surprisingly she’s accepted that as her fate. Enter her stubborn charismatic never take no for an answer best friend and she immediately will not let Bailey end up as an old maid, so Shawna keeps pushing for Bails to get on a dating website which to her utter horror ends both horribly and fabulous at the same time. After a dreaded failed attempt at meeting up with someone from the dating site she is on her way home and meets a handsome stranger on the curb after dropping her groceries and sparks ignite instantaneously. From that moment on she knows that he is the one.

“It’s not like me to worry, especially when it comes to us. Our relationship has always been effortless. I’ve never had to work hard to impress you. You love me for who I am. It’s reassuring.”

From that first meeting on the curb Bailey and Major become inseparable and build a life and love most people can only ever read and dream about. Major comes from a large Italian family who also adores Bailey and they all welcome her with open arms. Their relationship progresses as natural as it should and after two years together they decide they are ready to get married and start a family. As careful and meticulous as Bailey was about planning every detail of her and Major’s romantic Italian destination wedding and the life they would start soon after she could never in her wildest dreams planned for the sudden turn their lives were about to take.

“Well I never thought I could feel like a million bucks and a piece of shit at the same time.”

After Italy Bailey is forever changed by the events that took place there in more ways than one. She struggles every day to attempt to find herself again and it is breathtaking to read about how she redefines herself. Somewhere along the way when she wasn’t even looking for it there was help in the most unlikely place of all and she began to come back to herself piece by piece.

“I’m sacred Bails. I’m scared that I’m going to love the both of you and not get to stick around to be apart of your lives. If I would have known this would occur, I wouldn’t have wasted so much of my life.”

“I’m trying so hard to stop myself, but I can’t. Every second we’re together makes me want more. You keep me going I’ve never felt this way in my life.”

Happily Ever Never is a beautiful story of love and heartache and it just proves that if you watch long enough eventually a phoenix will rise from the ashes. The happiness and sorrow were fused so well together it felt like you went thru life with Bailey and experienced all these things with her. I highly recommend this book to anyone no matter what your genre preference you will enjoy this story

Thank you Lis for recommending I read this book, and yes I cried. Loved the Italian connection, the first date between Major & Bailey was soo on point - loved it!. This book was both heartbreaking and hopeful my only complaint is not having enough of the HEA.
I don't want to give anything away but I can recommend to anyone that believes that no matter how devastating life is, it also can teach you to never give up.

Every now and then you come across a book that leaves you speechless. A book you can't stop thinking about, certain parts really touched your heart because your reading device needed to spend time in the freezer. Or you have to stop reading because events made you cry so much you couldn't see. A book that leaves an imprint on you and you can't help but want to slap and hug the author at the same time because of how touching, ugly yet beautiful the story was executed.

For us this is one of those books. Happily Never Ever is truly a remarkable book which has left us in a book funk. Jenn Foor's writing keeps going from strength to strength and this book will not disappoint. You will not want to put this book down once you start! You will be pulled in and hooked from the start. You may have your theories on what will happen but at every turn you will be kept on your toes wondering what will happen next.

Happily Never Ever is a book that will stay with us for a long time, this book is brilliant. We had been dying to read it as soon as we read the synopsis.

From the minute we saw the synopsis for this book we couldn't wait to read it .

"People say God only gives what one can handle."

Bailey aka Bails, is named after a hero, raised by her law enforcement father who has led her to always have her guard up. After hearing so many horror stories Bails is very cautious. Living with her best friend, Shawna and her fiance has left her with a wall up and shy when it comes to talking to strangers. She prefers to spend her time consumed in work. Much to her displeasure, Shawna signs her up on a dating site. Reluctantly she hesitantly choose someone to have a drink with.

"You can't be that picky, Bails. Your vagina has cobwebs."

Living with Shawna does have it's downsides, it's shown her just how much she has missed out on in life.

Drinks with Tad get off to a bad start, his quick to judge comments have riled up Bailey, before she knows it she is speaking her mind. His rude comments keep on going, after giving him a 'what for' she gets the hell out of there. On her way home she meets a sweaty stranger by the name of Major. A true gentleman with good looks and a great personality, they soon discover their attraction to one another.

We fast forward two years and Major and Bailey are a couple who have fallen in love. Lost in thought, Bailey is reliving memories of their first date a date she would never forget. With her cheeks wet she is brought back into the moment and realises Major has just proposed in front of his whole family. Now planning a wedding overseas in Major's family's hometown in Sicily the couple couldn't be happier.

With the lead up to the wedding and meeting Major's family on a day out at the beach, tragedy strikes and Bailey's life is about to change in a way she never imagined. But in the darkest times, will she be able to find her light at the end of a heart breaking tunnel?

Kayla- I feel so privileged when I get to beta read a book so deep and meaningful. Jenn has put all the emotions into this one and it will be impossible to read past the first 10 chapters without shedding a tear or using a whole box of tissues. When I was reading It was like I stepped into Bailey's life and was living it with her. I can't wait to see where Jenn takes us next with her writing.

Kristy- When I first started beta reading this book I fell easily in love with the characters and their story. Expect the unexpected in this book and have the tissues on hold because you are going to need them. Jenn has poured so much emotion into this book, her writing is just wow... As of late Jenn Foor's writing has gone from strength to strength, I can't wait to see what she comes up with next

Review originally posted at Ramblings From This Chick

I have to start off this review by saying that Happily Ever Never by Jennifer Foor probably brought on the most tears I have ever cried from reading a book. I am typically not a crier when it comes to books, and on the occasion that I do cry it usually isn't a lot. Going into this book though, you should have the tissues handy and probably some junk food/candy that you can use as a pick-me-up! With that being said, Happily Ever Never is also one of the best books I have read this year. Happily Ever Never is heartbreakingly beautiful, but it is also filled with love and hope. The best way to read this book is to go in blind, and just experience the story. Trust me when I tell you that although Jennifer Foor will wreck you, she is always great at putting you back together again.

Bailey finally felt like she was about to have all of her dreams come true. She was about to marry the man of her dreams and she was gaining a family she never dreamed she would have. Her life felt perfect, but then tragedy struck and she lost everything. With her planned future ruined, Bailey must find a way to pick up the pieces and move forward with her life.

I really felt for Bailey. There was so much love in this book, but there was also so much loss and heartbreak. Things were never easy for any of these characters and it was really hard at times. What I loved the most about this book though was that these characters were always there for one another. After everything that they were going through, you could tell that they all would do anything the could for each other. Though Bailey didn't get the life she planned, she was still a part of Major's family forever and I could not have loved them more for their unwavering love and support of Bailey. I also loved Bailey's best friend Shawna and how she always pushed Bailey when she needed it because she knew that Bailey would do the same for her. Bailey and Major had the kind of love that some people are never lucky enough to find, and they truly cherished it for the time they had it. I loved them together, but I also loved how strong Bailey was able to become after everything that happened. She knew she had to move forward and it was understandable that that wasn't a quick or easy thing for her to do. I was so glad that she had those around her to help her find her way.

I also loved that though Bailey thought she had lost everything, that this book was ultimately about hope. She was able to move forward and she found love in the most unlikely of places. Though she would never forget or stop loving Major, she was able to open up her heart and let others in as well. She found what she needed and was finally able to begin to heal and live her life again. This book was very emotional and I felt like it was so real. I felt for each character in this book, and I honestly loved them all. They might have had their moments, but I loved how things played out and that they all ended up exactly where they should be. I think Jennifer Foor did such a great job with such a tough set of circumstances, and I honestly cannot wait to read more from her in the future. I have become a huge fan of her books and while they are always filled with angst and some tough times, she always gives us a satisfying ending that feels right for the characters.

This story is one of the sappy ones, right up there with Nicholas Sparks and movies like Letters to Juliet and The Notebook. It was checking off a list of cliches, so hardcore it should be ridiculous, but -- just like Sparks and those damn movies -- Jenny Foor made it work. I guess every once in a while (or if you love this kind of thing), we all need sappy and dreamy on that scale. Since I can't even remember the last time I read or watched something so overly romantic, it's only half of a surprise that this one got to me big time. I actually cried, all the while thinking how stupid I am for being so emotional about it (since I rarely am), it just proves my point that Foor made all those romantic cliches work for this story.

Since you know something very bad is going to happen, it's even more heart-breaking that there was a rather large first part (30% or maybe more) spent on how much in love Bailey and Major are. You get to feel with them, you get to love them, and then it's just gone... Although I have to say, while Foor wrote all the right words, especially in dialogue, I was still missing feeling. Don't ask me why I cried regardless, I don't have a f*cking clue. Dialogue, inner dialogue, actions and plot, and descriptions weren't well balanced at all. You usually get a heap of one category at a time, instead of a mix that puts you into the story. It was like... like reading a movie, if that makes sense. You don't need to explicitely spell out colors, shapes, facial expressions, small gestures and actions, because you see it on screen, take it in subconsciously and automatically fill in certain blanks, while listening to the dialogue. Needless to say, I could totally see this as a movie.

It's a good thing I generally like the idea of a redeemed bad boy, who doesn't?, and of frienemies becoming friends or even lovers after they learn about a new side of their nemesis. That always makes for a good story, and Happily Ever Never was no exception. I don't want to say any more, though -- wouldn't want to spoil anything.

Due to the writing style, I couldn't connect 100% with the characters, but of course I generally liked them. The boys for sure, they were both strong and had their cute points, and Bailey too, even though she didn't amount to more than a dreamy-eyed Cinderella for one part, then was a crying damsel the rest of the time. There was generally alot of crying in this story, would've been totally fine with less, or at least with less outright bawling feasts and more silent or hidden tears instead.

I'm a cover person. What's this mean? It means if a book's cover doesn't look appealing to me then I'm not going to stop and read the synopsis. When I first laid eyes on this book's cover I just knew, even without reading the synopsis, that it was one I just had to read! And the title, it's just brilliant! I love a good book with an even better Happily Ever After. So what if the book starts at the exact moment a character is supposed to get their HEA only something tragic happens preventing them from getting everything they always wanted? What then? Where does the story go? Author Jennifer Foor does an excellent job taking us on emotionally packed journey as she explores the road main character Baily never thought she would ever travel down.

As the story begins you meet Baily just as she meets her soul mate and falls in love for the first time. You feel the love and respect between Baily and Major, you're excited to watch them get their perfect HEA, even though you know deep down it cannot happen. I think it's what caused me to be sucked into the story so early on. I knew something bad was going to happen, from the title and synopsis it had to happen, but what would it be and when would it happen? Then tragedy strikes and the tears begin. I literally had to put the book down and go get a box of tissues because it wasn't just one time I cried, the tears kept coming and kept coming throughout the book. It was so hard to watch Baily try to pick up and move on.

I think Baily really learned a lot about herself and evolved into this more understanding compassionate person than she would have been if she had married Major. Life had almost been perfect, or at least she thought it had, but a fallout with Major's best friend/her #1 enemy followed by an eye opening look into said enemy's real life leads Baily down a path of healing, forgiveness, redemption and eventually happiness. It was a beautiful story about living on and moving through tragedy, about love and loss. My only complaint would have to be how quickly everything was wrapped up. I feel as though the author rushed Baily's second chance HEA and I didn't feel as connected to her character and the relationship with her second chance love. It felt a little forced to early too fast for me. Obviously the two loved one another, but I didn't feel that emotional connection as I had before. Nevertheless, if you're looking for a book that will give you a good cry, break your heart and then lovingly put it back together Happily Ever Never is the perfect choice. I absolutely enjoyed the story and I think you will also.

"I wonder if people who've never lost someone can imagine the amount of pain it takes to bury the person you love."

Happily Ever Never is a heartbreaking book which will take you on a journey of love, happiness, and pain. This book was so jam packed with emotion that is was pretty overwhelming at some points in the book. There are just so many parts of this book that just hit on everything negative that can happen to a person. This book would be completely unreadable if it wasn't for all the snippets of hope and light. Let me tell you, be prepared to cry. Read this book while you are alone and won't have anyone judging you around. This is especially true for those of you who are criers during sad books or movies,

The author really did find the perfect balance of light and dark in this book. For instance, there would be a super sad and depressing part of the book, and then something good would pop up and suddenly the book didn't seem too terribly sad. It was this balance that made this book great and even amazing. Sometimes a good cry is needed and this is definitely the book for that. There was just so much in this book that left room for hope and just tore my heart to pieces and put it back together again.

The characters was another aspect of the book that made it amazing. Bailey was probably the most admirable character I have read about this year. She goes through what feels like the worst luck throughout the book, yet she perseveres. Hit with so much trouble, any other person would have just given up. The author did a really good job of making her character believable to the average person (or someone who didn't go through this situation). Bailey had her breakdowns and grief process, but then she had her strong moments where she really pulled through. Reading this book from her perspective was an experience you don't want to miss!

My only major problem with this book was the fact that I called the "love interest situation" from the moment I started the book. The character's relationship were a little too obvious for my liking but it isn't bad. Luckily even though I called the end result, I was definitely not expecting a lot of the events throughout the book. So while the plot might seem obvious at first, you will definitely be thrown a loop you might not have expected.

This book was amazingly complex. I loved how the author introduced the characters and the basic plot line. This will definitely be a book that I will be rereading whenever I need a more hopeful read than the average book!

I should have prepared myself, especially when I read the title of this book. I mean the title isn't exactly screaming happy times and fairy tales right? I should have guessed going in it was going to be one of those books that pulled on my heartstrings.

So the book starts and Bailey and Major meet each other in a chance encounter after Bailey had a date with some guy she met online who was seriously a jerk. It's clear right from the beginning that Bailey and Major are suppose to be together. They are so cute together, you can tell how much they love each other and how they are just good people in general. So the two of them head off to Italy for their destination wedding, and the only thing bothering Bailey is Major's best friend Vincent who lets face it is kind of a jerk. And this is where I leave you in terms of the synopsis of the book, because anything further than the wedding would really ruin the surprise of it all.

So Bailey is an interesting character. I liked that she is really smart, and that she is just a good person. I loved following her throughout the journey of this book. And there were so many moment in the book where I couldn't help but tearing up. I mean I she goes through so much, and I was seriously not prepared for it. But her character's evolution is just so good to read.

Major is another great character in the book, he is easily what I think everyone would dream of in a guy. He has this great family, and he is this totally sweet guy, he's good to his family, he's good to his friends, and he is good to Bailey. I loved getting to know his family over the course of this book. Major isn't the only one who has good people in his life though, Bailey has a really good friend in Shawna and she is there for Bailey every step of the way. She always has an encouraging word, she knows when to push her friend, and when to just be there, you have to love that in a best friend.

I would not recommend this book to anyone who is not prepared to go on an emotional journey with the characters, because without a doubt you do in this book. I teared up several times. But if you like a book that will take you on an emotional rollercoaster then this is your book.
