Orientation: Part 1

Rate this book
Where were you when the heroes died?

In a future not far from our present, the heroes are ash and the villains reign over a Utopian new world. The economy? Stabilized. Education? Perfected. Peace? Completed.

The United States is now an empire under Prophet Enterprises: a weapons and medical conglomerate based in downtown Los Angeles, California. Ruled by one of the deadliest Supra-Villains, the Spring season has begun and with it, a stream of newly hired people come for the most lethal position there is: Henchmen division. These men and women of forged brutality and precision are the weapons against the offspring of the criminal element known as Traffickers: fearless scoundrels who will harness any and all parts of Supras to sell in a newly revitalized underground market for money, power or worse.

What begins as a simple process of orientation becomes much more in a matter of time as the entrants encounter far more than they could have predicted. Remnants from the old government and Police forces tread the delicate border between the old law and the casualty of order. Yet, as the season reaches the Summer, a new enemy will rise for revenge against Prophet Enterprises with a plan to crush his target, and take as many Henchmen and allies with him as Supra-Humanly possible.

This is no post apocalypse. This is a globalized paradise without the perils of old politics, the cowardice of separatist class, the worthlessness of hatred by fear. This is a world seized by evil for a greater good and with it, the power of one is enriched through the dedication of many.

Welcome to Henchmen U.S.A.

In a world without heroes, a Supra-Villain is only as powerful as his/her army is durable.

Most enjoyable read

It was refreshing to read a story so original. The best part is that I could vividly imagine how everyone and it all looked like. It was well written and descriptive. This is a must read!
