Business networking by Robert is a compendium of helpful hints for those wanting to promote their business. I've tried all of them with little success and exited them, as Robert suggests. The first hint is asking for referrals so that you may improve (or exit). He insists on keeping in touch with those you network, even providing a gift (like a free ebook - still waiting for mine). Testimonials are good plus industry conferences. Blogging once a week keeps you in touch plus ads and photos. Social media is recommended, joining your local chamber of commerce, having an elevator pitch (not explained), hiring a public relations consultant, writing articles for your local paper, volunteering. How to target your audience is mentioned, network groups, open-ended questions in small talk. Finally, deal with rejection - you control how you react. All in all, good advice for a beginner.
