The Vampire and the Mouse

Rate this book

Blush sensuality level: This is a sensual romance (may have explicit love scenes, but not erotic in frequency or type).

Stabbing a man to death was not something Kirsty Dunn had planned for the night. At work, she is the quiet girl, the unnoticed girl, the girl with the timid voice, the proverbial office mouse. She is absolutely not the sort of girl who kills someone.

Six-hundred-year-old vampire Benjamin Bretel is her only hope for getting away with murder. But as they get to know each other, she finds that he has much more to offer than just his skill at hiding a body.

A Blush® paranormal romance from Ellora’s Cave

Honestly I'd do a full review but there's nothing to review, really. The blurb basically says it all, it's that short! First person POV, probable IR. It started out with an interesting premise but turned out to be disappointing; read more like an excerpt rather than a wholesome story. The h is the 'office mouse' as she likes to call herself, the H is the vampire (duh!). I did have a few 'whadda hell?' moments due to the weirdness of the narratives.

Truthfully the title grabbed my attention. It was short but a reasonable quick read during lunch.
