Resounding Echoes: Book 2 of the Eternal Echoes Trilogy
Some love stories never fade. But some pasts refuse to stay buried.
Fifteen years ago, Beth Daniels walked away from the stage - and from Jordan Riley, the man who once held her heart. Now, fate has drawn her back into the orbit of Eternal Echoes, forcing her to confront the music, the memories and the man she never truly stopped loving. Their chemistry is still electric, their connection undeniable but as their long-buried feelings resurface, so too does a threat from Beth’s past - one that’s been waiting in the shadows for its moment to strike.
As Beth fights to reclaim her voice and her future, she must face the ultimate can she survive the echoes of what was, in order to embrace what could be?
A heart-pounding romance laced with suspense, Resounding Echoes is a story of love rediscovered, courage rekindled and a woman determined to no longer run from her past.

I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book. If you haven’t read Chasing Echoes yet, stop everything and read it first; it will give you a whole new appreciation for the story, characters, and journey they have been on. You can thank me later!!
This book takes place 15 years after book one ends, and something about that broke my heart, yet made the whole story and character arcs so much more meaningful.
The band was torn apart years ago, leaving the guys to carry on without their missing fourth, Beth. Fifteen years and so many lifes lived later they are reunited by a crazy twist of fate.
Beth is back, and Jordan doesn’t quite know how to process the emotions crashing over him. He still loves Beth, never stopped, but she left him, and never turned back. He’s moved on, well kind of, and can’t get past the hurt and anger that he carries alongside all the love.
Time after time they are thrown together, and it becomes obvious that the feelings are still there for her too, but Beth isn’t the same woman she was fifteen years ago. Jordan, Dan, and Nick, all know there is something she isn’t telling them, and each take a different approach to reconnecting with her.
What unfolds is a beautiful story of healing, freindship, love, and reclaiming oneself. I know I keep saying it but truly this story was beautiful and I am so glad I read it.
Compares to book one, Lila brings more spice, more angst, and more drama, and does it in a way that feels real and natural.
I cannot wait for whatever this author creates next, but I know I want to read it!

I'd been waiting for Resounding Echos ever since my heart was broken in book one (Chasing Echo's)
Straight away I was blown away by how quickly I was gripped, dying to know what had gone down in the fifteen year gap. I fell in love with both Jordan and Beth, Nick and Dan in book 1 and was so thrilled when they finally got their big reunion in this book. It wasn't all plain sailing though, the years of yearning and never falling out of love with one another came crashing back (J&B) when they were finally faced with one another.
In true Lila style though, she had me feeling all of the emotions, I was happy, sad, angry and annoyed at a certain someones behaviour, but I got it, and the way each character and their feelings are expressed is pure stunning word craft.
I am so so happy to say, also shed happy tears, when they finally got their happily ever after, the chemistry and passion between J&B is honestly unparalleled. And the spicy scenes, god damn... super hot!
Dan and Nick are incredible characters too and I just love the band as a whole and I was pleasantly surprised to see that book 3 is in the making! Emily was a newbie in this book and honestly adore her too!
There was an added element of trauma and stalking in this book but Lila wrote and handled it all with the upmost care, it had me seething and wanting revenge. It showcased the emotional and physical strength and growth of Beth, reminding me why she is one of my favourite FMC's. This element really kept me gripped and again feeling all the emotions.
This book is perfect for lovers of rockstar romance, second chance romance, high stakes, character growth and found family, oh and if you love the sheer emotion that comes from serious yearning and undeniable passion.
5 star read, absolutely stunning!

I don't even know where to start with this book.
Jordan and Beth completely stole my heart in Chasing Echoes, and somehow Resounding Echoes made me love them even more. This story put me through every possible emotion. I smiled, I stressed, I wanted to hug them, shake them, and cheer for them all at the same time.
What I loved most is that their relationship never felt easy or perfect, t felt real. The love, the mistakes, the heartbreak, the hope ... every moment felt genuine. I was completely invested in their journey and found myself thinking about them long after I turned the last page.
Lila Brightwell has a way of making her characters feel like people you know instead of characters you're reading about. By the end, it felt like saying goodbye to friends I wasn't ready to leave.
If you love rockstar romance with emotion, chemistry, and a couple worth rooting for, don't miss this one. Jordan and Beth have officially earned a permanent place in my heart.

Deeper, darker than the first book
This book wasn’t the light second chance I was expecting after finishing the first book and hearing that the sequel takes place 15 years later. Jordan and Beth never fell out of love, but their lives took them in very different directions. When the PR firm Beth works for got the contract for a new album tour, Beth gets to reconnect with the boys from the band. All have married and started raising families, except for Jordan. He’s spent years drowning his sorrow in alcohol, drugs and women. When they reconnect all the band members realize there is something different about Beth, and the fact she no longer sings is the biggest mystery. This story is about finding the one again you were meant to be with, the power of redemption, and fighting back against trauma to regain your self of self and find joy again. TW: domestic violence/assault told from the perspective of the survivor.

I thought I knew what I was getting with book. I assumed a HAE after a reconciliation. This was SO MUCH more. This was such perfect pacing that I found myself waiting for the error that never came. It was flawless in it's story telling. But the depth. The history. The SPICE. The reunion... and then THE reconciliation. I ate it up obsessively.
Read this. Savour it. Get swept away in truly rooting for Beth... not the relationship... HER.
Amazing job.

Fab follow up
Another great story from Lila Brightwell. This book had a bit of everything, rock n roll, romance, second-chances, and drama. It was a quick read, definitely page-turning. I’m looking forward to the third book and finding out how the trilogy ends.

Well I thoroughly enjoyed the 2nd book in the Eternal Echoes Triology. It was a great follow up to the first one. I loved Jordan & Beth’s love story. Enjoyed all the other main characters as well. Can’t wait for book 3.

An emotional and heartfelt second chance love story
The reunion after 15 years apart, the angst and the yearning, and the traumatic backstory of Beth, all made for a highly emotional read for these two meant to be characters. The author dealt with difficult subjects in a highly sensitive manner and I commend her for that. I'm so happy that Beth and Jordan got their long overdue happy ever after but the author has stated this is a trilogy so I'm curious to see what will occur in the third book. I shall have to wait and see...

Book one left me absolutely desperate to get my hands on this sequel, and Resounding Echoes delivered in every possible way.
I already loved Beth and Jordan, but somehow Lila Brightwell made me fall for them all over again and then some. This book put me through the full emotional wringer. Happy, stressed, swooning, furious, tearful, sometimes all of the above within the same chapter! And I was completely here for every single second of it.
What I loved most is that nothing about their relationship feels easy or convenient. It feels real. The years between them, the weight of everything unspoken, the way it all comes crashing back when they're finally face to face - it's beautifully handled and genuinely so moving. The chemistry and passion between them is unparalleled, and when they finally get their moment, it's worth every agonising page of the slow burn to get there!
There's also an added layer in this book that I wasn't fully expecting, and the way Lila wrote it was handled with such care. It had me seething on Beth's behalf and only made me root for her even harder. This isn't just a love story. It's about Beth stepping fully into her own strength, and watching that was genuinely so satisfying and heart-warming. Dan, Nick and the band continue to be such a joy, and Emily was a wonderful addition to the world. The found family element of this series is just so good.
If you loved Chasing Echoes, clear your schedule before you start this one. You won't be putting it down!
