At the age of 12, Ronnie witnesses something that leaves her curious. Soon her cousin shows her exactly what she saw and how to utilize it to her benefit.
Eventually, Ronnie develops into a young woman physically and somewhat mentally, and ventures off into the life of a Diva, or what is believed to be a Diva in her family.
Soon she faced with an all too common dilemma. Abuse. Before she knows it, she loses her dad, and goes out in search of a father figure. What she finds is nothing of the sort. What she finds and experiences forces her to flee to another city where she runs into Mainyac, and old friend.
Just when she believes she found the man of her dreams, all hell breaks loose.
This was an ok read. It was very hard for me to get into it. I was not at all pleased about the story relating to a minor being promiscuous. I didn't understand the storyline and couldn't figure out what the plot was supposed to be. Then the ending just dropped off. Although I didn't particularly care for this book, I will give the author another try.
This is by far one of the dumbest books i have ever read!! The plot makes no sense and the foces is on a kid having sex recklessly. I only read the whole book hoping that it would turn into a woman using her "poelwer tool" to her what she wants. But no the entire story is focused on a girl slutting around town. This book puts too much focus on a young girl who inly aspires to being a hoe. There is no real plot, names dont always match up with people who are talking, the writing does not match up with the era of the setting, awful editing.
I was kind of rolling along with the story and then it hit an abrupt end with something like "they figured she liked it". Huh? That ending killed any hope of expecting me to read book 2 just to find out what happens next. Veronica was being schooled by her scheming, conniving relatives to be hood rich as a goal. She learned the lessons they taught and taught them a few things along the way.
I would have gave it 5 stars, but considering all the drama throughout the book the ending sucked. And a few too many grammar errors for me. But overall it was a good book. Hoping part 2 gets better.
I did not like reading about a young girl with nothing but sex on her mind. I am getting tired of these hood books that portray young ladies in that fashion. Not pleasant to read. I was her age and sex was the last thing on my mind so I couldn't relate to it.
