Point of View is a collection historical and contemporary fiction short stories with conspiracy theory twists and a little parody thrown in for good measure.

Who is the “real” D. B. Cooper? You'll be intrigued by the identity of his parents.

Learn the undisclosed reason for the Titanic’s loss.

Can FBI Agent Susan Kane save the world from a repeat terrorist attack?

How are Imelda Marcos, shoes and a shortage of chocolate responsible for the end of the world?

You’ve read the “relationship theories” between Presidents Lincoln and Kennedy. This short story explores the “relationship” between John Wilkes Booth and Lee Harvey Oswald.

Excerpts of P. J. LaRue's other books are included as a bonus.

5 Star Review of Point of View by Chris Fischer of Reader's Favorite:
"One of the things I’ve always appreciated about short stories is that it’s all right to read one or two of them, then put the book aside for days, weeks, even months, and pick up right where you left off, with a completely new adventure waiting. But I couldn’t do this with Point of View. The stories were so great, so engaging, that I read them through from start to finish, all in one sitting. I almost wish I had restrained myself a bit, because I’d love to have more from P.J. LaRue to read. Several of the shorts in her book are intros to longer works, and definitely worth checking out. But I certainly will keep my eye out for more short stories from this talented author, and hope she’s hard at work at another collection as we speak!"

PJ wrote poetry in high school, but she discovered writing children’s books and short stories later in life. Her writing inspirations are hiking, photography and environmental consciousness, but she links these interests to much larger social issues. A person very close to PJ was molested as a child, making PJ passionate about providing child safety tips. And, PJ was bullied in the third grade by girls much larger than she, who demanded that PJ give them her lunch or her lunch money. As a result, PJ is committed to spreading the word that bullying must be stopped.

One of PJ’s goals is to help educate children, parents and caregivers, in a fun way, using her children’s book series, The Mystic Princesses. Because PJ loves to travel, the princesses will visit many locales. learning about the environmental concerns along the way.

PJ has been happily married over 30 years although there are many reasons why her marriage should have failed. Some of those factors are that her parents divorced after a long and sometimes abusive relationship, that her father is an alcoholic (now sober for many years), and that she married at a very young age. She broke the domestic abuse cycle by marrying a kind and supportive man. After receiving encouragement from friends, she decided to write After "I Do!" A Marriage Map a short advice book filled with anecdotes from her own marriage. The After "I Do!" tab has more information about PJ's childhood and marriage.

What a great collection of fun stories that take a different twist on some of history's most famous mysteries. This is a quick read, perfect to read on a commute, in line, or even waiting for an appointment. Pick this one up, you won't be disappointed. :)

What a clever collection of short stories! Just under one hundred pages and five unique tales combine a cornucopia of ideas: the FBI and cold cases, well-known historical figures, a new angle on the Titanic disaster, a plot to take over the world involving shoes and chocolate, a modern day terrorist plot, and God's conversation with John Wilkes Booth at the entrance gates of Hell.

At first glance, you will probably say, what could these diverse themes and characters have in common? Nothing, it seems, but LaRue manages to weave them into believable plots with enough twists and turns to keep the reader on the edge of her seat. This is the kind of book you can read at a leisurely pace; but probably won't want to because your curiosity will get the better of you, and you will read straight to the end. Speaking of the end, the author also includes a preview of her award winning children's series

Recommend this well-written collection of stories which can make you laugh or move you to tears. Appropriate for general audiences. especially readers age twelve and older. Available in kindle and paperback format.

I purchased my softback copy from the author. This is a fun book or short stories based on real events. There are five stories. LaRue gives you plausible alternative events but then presents truth at the end of each story. The book is very short but entertaining. A great ebook for a fast read. My two favorite stories were "The Unsinkable Ship" and the one about Imelda Marcos called "The End of the World by Couture and Chocolate." LaRue has a fluid style which keeps the stories moving and easily captures your attention. Her research makes the stories plausible no matter the subject. There's some wonderful tongue-in-cheek humor there too. I like it.

For anyone interested in historical events, this would be a fun ebook gift.

The stories are all different but all enjoyable. The use of historical events then writing a different perspective on the actual events is a nice change from the normal short story. I really enjoyed reading each one.

Very interesting book

I enjoyed the short stories in this book and the different point of view on the beginning stories. I totally agreed with the point of view on the last.
