This is a good read for anyone interested in learning about how price action works. Nigel dives into how #TheStrat created by Rob smith (RIP) actually works and how to make it all make sense.
Its amazing to see more people learn and adapt to this method of market analysis. I appreciate how well documented this novel is and and I hope Nigel continues to provide us with more of his teachings.

This book is a good read for any beginner or experienced trader trying to navigate the markets, this teaches any help you mitigate the emotions and approach trading in a more systematic way.

Cheers

I have put the hourly flip into practice and i have seen how impactful it is. It also helps me to stay out of trouble if everything is not aligned. Learning the patience to stay on your hands like James has helped me a ton. If there is a second part or updated version of the book in the future, i would also love visuals of the charts in question.

I’ve read through the first two sections of Nigel Johnson’s TheStrat Protocol and I’m really enjoying it so far. What stands out immediately is the format – instead of writing a dry technical manual, he presents the material like a novel. It captures the emotions, psychology, uncertainty, and decision-making involved in trading, which makes it far more engaging and readable than most trading books.

I’ve been learning The Strat through Rob Smith’s YouTube videos and from traders he’s taught, but this may be the first time I’ve seen the methodology presented in actual book form. That alone makes it unique and valuable.

The book focuses primarily on trading stocks, but I’d love to see Nigel expand the concept into options and futures trading as well.

One suggestion I’d have: in some of the early trade examples involving the main character, I found myself wishing there were candle chart illustrations alongside the descriptions. Since The Strat is so visually tied to price action and candle structure, having those visuals would make it even easier to follow and internalize the setups being discussed.

Overall though, it’s a refreshing and highly readable take on the Strat.

I have known about The Strat for some time, but reading the first few chapters enhanced my understanding of one of the foundational concepts around continuity. It's improved my scanning and made a big difference in how I view charts. Great book relaying the concepts in a new way, even for the more experienced Strat trader.

This easy to read and insightful book came out at time I was struggling with The Strat method. The way it's written helps the reader to associate the concepts with daily trading problems s/he is facing. Its well structured and draws you into the concept page by page. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to see the charts the Rob Smith (RIP) way.
