In a modern world ruled by territorial Greek gods, the human race has been oppressed, exploited and now, nearly destroyed by the constant infighting of gods.

However, a human girl with the power of a goddess is coming of age. Alessandra is the Oracle of Delphi – the last prophesized – and bears the mark of the double omega. Soon after she turns eighteen, Alessandra is told her destiny: to step between the warring gods and the human race and save her world from certain ruin.

For the gods, her appearance marks the beginning of the end – their end. They and the Triumvirate – leaders of the human elite – who serve them will stop at nothing to preserve their power.

Alessandra emerges from the forest where she spent her life hidden from gods and men and immediately plummets into a race against time, gods, and herself to discover who and what she is in a world where everyone she meets has a hidden agenda, and those pulling the strings remain in the shadows.

Before she can determine exactly what kind of savior her world needs, she must first master her power by completing three trials devised by the Triumvirate to enslave her.

One lone girl stands between warring gods and the people she’s destined to protect, but it’s the battle to understand who she is that she must win first.

Thank you to Captured Press & Lizzy Ford for the copy of the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is the first book I have read from Lizzy Ford and I was gripped from the beginning, it has everything I loved all put into one it was AMAZING!

The story is set in modern times where Greek Gods rule the earth and each of them has been using it as a playpen, they have caused chaos and mayhem and I loved it *squeals*. Lyssa our leading lady who has been sheltered in life acting as Bear Grylls apprentice thought she was just a normal teenager, she turns out to be something very special indeed and her world changes over the one evening.

As some people know I'm not a lover of most leading ladies in YA novels, most of them are weak, annoying and always think they are right while being wrong but Lyssa is completely different. I adored her in so many ways and I felt a connection with her, the only other leading lady I like this much is Katy Swartz (Lux series). My heart was breaking for her she couldn't trust anyone as they all just wanted her for their own needs... oh dear.

The males in this book are totally for me, I just added Adonis to my book boyfriend list he has everything a girl could dream of he's witty, playful, competitive, handsome, moody, dangerous... the list goes on! but he's not the only one in the book that gets your attention. Our bad boy demigod Lantos as sneaky as he is also is hot, unpredictable, untrustworthy, hot, flirty, did I say hot? god, damn you demigods!

I love Greek mythology so the book was right up my street, it was funny, fast paced and the plot was really good. Also, I loved the writing style as it was easy to build it all up in your mind creating a little world of your own. Now I need to wait for more ahh HURRY!

First of all, feast your eyes upon these sexy-ass top shelves for Omega:

Mythology and Dystopia????????

While the cover made me think of books with love triangles and Mary Sues, it had so many positive ratings that I couldn't wait to start this book!

Me after 7%:

Lyssa is the stupidest fucking heroine I ever came across. Ever.:

Oh look at me I'm so special! I'm not like those stupid nymphs covered in make-up, I wear tennis shoes and like sports! I deserve a boyfriend. I am forbidden to leave the forest but I never questioned why. I also have a mysterious birthmark but I'm too preoccupied with boys to care. Oh by the way, here's some INFO DUMP. Still confused about the story? Here, have some teenage angst from me instead. I'm so real.

Not like those fake ass nymphs. I hate those bitches! They are so pretty and evil and have prospects in life! They also steal all the boys I like. Boys. I like boys. Why can't I have a boyfriend? Fucking nymphs. Have some more useless INFO DUMP.

My guardian is a total nutjob. He likes to risk my life every opportunity he gets by dropping me off in random parts of this forest to train me and teach me how to survive. He's been doing it for 12 years now and no, I'm not mentally unstable from it all. He won't let me date boys unless they can outrun me. I also can't have friends who can't solve his ridiculous riddles. No, it's not really abuse, he adores me. I may be an isolated loner with a shitty role model, but one day I'll be a serial killer the CHOSEN ONE so it will all make sense!

I like to break the rules because I'm independent. People know the world will go to shit if I leave the perimeter so they did everything in their power to prevent me from leaving the forest. Such as putting a rope around it! No, it's not enchanted or anything, look at me stepping over them in my independent fashion. Oh wait, almost forgot: INFO DUMP about something you don't really need to know and explains nothing.

Wow, that monster crawling out of the lake I was forbidden to go near sure is scary. Maybe there REALLY is a good reason why I had to play Bear Grills for 12 years in this fucking forest without leaving it...

Nah, it must be nothing so I'm just going to go back to sleep. I'm trained in everything after all.

So much wasted potential.

"Your name is seared into my soul. I will always return to you."
6/5 stars!
This was the first novel I have read by Lizzy Ford and boy did I fall in love, died, and went to fictional world heaven.
This story is about a modern world that is ruled by Greek gods and it is as chaotic and amazing as it sounds. I am addicted to anything dealing with Greek mythology and this book definitely fed my addiction. I need so much more of this series, like now!!!
Lizzy Ford weaves an incredible and magnetizing plot line that had me intrigued from the moment I cracked the spine!! It's full of mystery, betrayal, double-guessing, surprising friendships, love, loyalty, and hilarious banter. There is as much evil as there is good in this incredible world and it automatically transported me into it. I experienced everything as if I was there and once I got to the last page, I wanted to plant my feet and never leave.
All of the characters Lizzy Ford created here are some of the most diverse people I have had the pleasure of reading about. I was astounded by every single one and I am proud to say I found myself liking all of them. Yes, even the evil ones.
This book is one of the most incredible books I have ever read... I read this two months ago and I still think about it all the time.
Especially Adonis.... Oh. My. Lord... Adonis. Oh, how I love that man!!!! I was a blubbering mess any time he appeared, spoke, or was brought up in this book. He is incredible, loyal, badass, sexy, hilarious, and lethal. He's perfectly imperfect and I love everything about that man. He conquered my book boyfriend's list from the second he appeared.
Alessandra, the main character, is amazing as well. She's honest to a fault and I could relate to her automatically for it. I love the fact that she can hold her own even after everything that's thrust her way.
"Everything is more beautiful because we're doomed."
I struck gold with this book in the quote department. There were so many that just choosing one was impossible!!
If you're a fan of oracles, Greek gods, stunning characters, an epic plot line, and an overall thought-provoking world... you MUST read this book asap!

Okay okay. I don't know how and where to start making a review all I know is that I'm in so much need to pour my emotions out, it's overflowing!

Omega is my first Lizzy Ford book read. It is also my first Dystopian slash Fantasy slash Greek Mythology read. I can say that I'm pretty much moved by the story.

Mismatch/Adonis a grotesque by night, human by day. He used to be a cursed crowned prince, now he's a wise beast. I wanted to scream just because-oh gosh how can I be attracted to a grotesque? He's just so swoon-worthy! Also everyone knows how head over heels I am to mysterious guys.

Alessandra/Lyssa, can put inanimate objects to life. At such young age, she carries the weight of having the fate of the human and god's world in her hands. Even as an impulsive and stubborn character, she's still brave. She also has enough sense of humor which made me like her more. BUT I dislike how she rants about boys being stolen from her by the nymphs, how she can't have a boyfriend.

I'm glad that the secondary characters weren't left out and beclouded by the main ones. Each has their own roles uplifted. Has a good and evil plan apiece. Most characters are hard to read, to predict. Everyone was given a liability. Villains played their part perfectly!

The romance wasn't cheesy, wasn't corny at all. Maybe a pinch of both. Oh boy I find it sweet when Lyssa and Mismatch are having an argument. I can feel the excitement while reading.

I don't know how Lizzy formed such bewitching plot. I was imprisoned from the moment I read the first word up to the last. I don't even think I have escaped now. There were twists and turns one will never suspect appearing, it was endless. The revelations were unbelievable. I felt like I'm being tricked, as a reader, I don't even know who to trust. Nice one, really creative. What a masterpiece!

Oh gods. I'm actually crying because it's just too sad! When a person has no other choice, and the only choice left will cause her pain. My heart. I just need the book 2 right now.

“To survive, I had to become a monster like everyone else around me.
To save my world, I just might have to destroy it first.”

I want to mention her exquisite and fascinating writing style! I'm so reading all of her works. I'm really grateful to have read her book. I've almost forgotten how it feels to read Greek Mythology books.

Lizzy brought everything about this book to life!

Perfect for everyone who loves Dystopian, and for everyone who's in love with Greek Myths.

It is a world ruled by territorial Greek gods, and the human race is endangered by the continuous wars of gods. Only one can put an end to it. 18-year-old Alessandra has no idea who she really is or the power that she holds. For as long as she could remember, she has been trained by her mentor, Herakles. For what? She is not sure. Until one day, she breaks a rule and her life is never the same. With Herakles gone and captured by enemies, Alessandra has to face her fate and survive in this world full of lies and betrayals all by herself.

Wow, just wow. I haven't read a book this intense for a very long time. This book is like a printed movie. It is vividly written and I could clearly see the characters and the scenes in my head. It is fast-paced and it leaves you no time to catch a breath. There's always something happening on every page and your eyes are glued to the words. No distraction is allowed, or you will miss something. One of the best things about this book is its plot twists. They are always unexpected and sometimes they shocked me to a great extent that I needed to put the book down and screamed a little and finally calmed myself. (No joke here)

The main character Alessandra is very likable. I seriously love how she is portrayed in the book. She is strong, yet she is weak. She is brave, yet she is not fearless. I love her strength but I also love her imperfections. These flaws make her more real. Unlike some perfect female characters, I'm more drawn to these imperfect ones. They are more relatable. They prove that even though we girls are imperfect, our minds are still strong and we'll fight for what we believe no matter what. One little thing that I don't like about Alessandra is how she always says"oh my gods". Sometimes it can just be a little annoying. *cough cough*

Another thing I love is the romance. It is so obvious yet so subtle at the same time. It's like you can feel it, but it won't come out! The magic of the romance in this book is like Siren luring you in, and you simply couldn't resist.

So beware, my friends. You may not be able to stop once you lay eyes on the very first page.

It's 3.5 stars

I enjoyed a lot this reading.

The story has to do with Alessandra, a girl that lived her whole life in a forest away from the real world. With her protector, nymphs and some priests. After an explosion that wrecked her home she must survive in a place that wants to devour her powers....

She just recently learns that she is an oracle. Not fully understanding what that means, she finds her shelf in a situation where a bunch of people try to take advantage of her for their purposes....

Let me just say, I loved the aspect that Alessandra couldn't trust anyone, all characters had their beliefs, their secret agendas, their dreams and the Oracle was just a means to an end for them. Even the ones that actually want her well-being wasn't for the good of Alessandra...

This fact kept me on the edge of the whole book, I didn't know who the bad guy was in the story and I enjoyed it. Each decision of the main character could has so many consequences just because we couldn't predict how the other characters would react...

But, some of the decisions of Alessandra were just a bit stupid. She decided to stay in a place, near a man that wanted to exploit her powers and after having see her future if she stayed there, she still stayed. Stupid.

And because of this, the ending was predictable for me and it made me a bit angry cause I knew she could avoid it.

The magic system was very interesting as well, it had greek gods and the magic of Alessandra was unique. She could see ribbons that could manipulate and do all kind of stuff, like create life, destroy and so much more.

Overall this was enjoyable and a fast-paced book. I will definetely read the second one of this series.

My thanks to Netgalley and Captured Press for the arc

MY THOUGHTS:

First of all I want to thank the author for sending a copy of this book for review.

Normal people aren’t prepared for their world to change or to face the trials awaiting them.

Sometimes success takes a different shape than one expects.

Your name is seared into my soul. I will always return to you.

I need to breath and gather my thoughts!

I don’t know what to say, this novel is SO FREAKIN AMAZING!!!

Amazingly written, the scenes was on point, the characters? You will love them all especially the villains, you’ll just love to hate them.

The whole plot of the story was so good that I felt I was reading in 3D, I’m not even kidding. As I was reading it I felt like I’m one of the characters in the book, the way the author visualized the scenes is just perfection, my imagination just took me to another dimension. I seriously just flew through the pages of this book, every page is full of surprises that you don’t even want to miss every second.

The characters had their own persona that didn’t drag down throughout the story, the main character Alessandra is very badass, in my opinion. She’s not your oh so perfect girl in this novel. She had imperfections that will make you like her, her bravery shows how much she wants to know more about herself and how much she wants to save someone very important to her. You’ll see how innocent she is on how the real world is really like. The way she approaches every life and death situations thrown at her, you can see that she’s not that clever when it comes into fighting a battle but she manages to get through it. The other characters are like her as well, they stood up to what they really are. You won’t know who’s the good one or the bad one, you’ll get to see who really the characters are in this novel, you’ll be surprised with the plot twist this book has to offer. Until now, I’m still guessing who’s side I’m in.

There’s a bit of romance in here that I want to see hopefully throughout the series. I’m rooting for Alessandra and Adonis!

Every word that flows out of Adonis’ lips will make your heart melt, seriously. He’s the man of my dreams or nightmares.

The author has done her magic very well and gave this book its life.

I definitely recommend this book to everyone. It’s now one of my favorite reads in 2015. If you want to read it, don’t forget to bring your own weapon, you might get lost inside of this book and find yourself facing a monster. Good luck!

I received Omega in return for an honest review as part of the tour hosted by Xpresso Book Tours. Omega is set in modern day times where Greek gods are the rules and humans are treated as the inferior people. Things are about to change now that a human girl has been born to be the last Oracle with the mark of the double omega. She’s spent her life living with the monks in the forest training, while the nymphs steal all her potential guys after all they haven’t been able to keep up with her. When her guardian leaves her alone for the weekend she decides to just step outside the barrier just for a few minutes to dip her toes in the water, and changes everything.

Suddenly now her safety has been compromised people will be coming after her. To give her time to get away her guardian Herakles heads off to distract those who will be hunting her. In the hands of a mercenary Lyssa flee’s the only home into the human world that she was born into but hasn’t been a part of in twelve years. As Lyssa learns to deal with her new life she’s haunted by childhood memories come back as she starts to remember things. When she encounters her childhood friend things start to slide into place as her future starts to catch up with her. Will she be able to survive what her future holds? Has she met the one boy who is everything she’s been looking for but will it last?

I like Lyssa right from the start she captured my heart, she’s not your typical weak heroine but trained for the last twelve years to protect herself. It’s refreshing to have a character who doesn’t rely on a guy to save her but does it herself, and I love characters who kick butt. I like Adonis as a potential love interest for Lyssa he’s her child friend and not just human but something else. I’m so torn on Niko I want to hate him after everything he’s done but I kind of like him, and I’m hoping he has some redeeming qualities for the future.

I’ve had the paperback sitting on my bookshelf for months, and I decided to wait till it was closer to my tour spot so the review would be fresh. I wish I hadn’t waited because I really enjoyed being drawn into Lyssa’s world it’s a unique concept that captured my heart as well as my imagination. I love the idea of creating a unique story with the Greek Gods the author has done a beautiful job creating an exciting new world for Lyssa to figure out who she is as well as what her future holds. I think Lyssa is a great character I was able to connect with her right from the start as well as she progressed through the book. Omega is a fast paced action packed novel filled with enough action to keep you on the edge of your seat as well as an intriguing story. I had a hard time putting Omega down, it’s one that I finished in just a day because I had to know what would happen next to Lyssa. This isn’t my first book by the author I’ve read several of her novels over the years. I have to admit the Omega is my favorite because I love the characters and the story. The only sad part is that Omega just came out it’s going to be a long wait for the next one, since I loved the first so much.

***** AN ARC IS PROVIDED FOR THIS REVIEW *****

I LOVE it!!! The cover is very beautiful and befitting in every department. Let's just take some time to admire how Alessandra looks in the cover. (*solemnly meditating or whatever you call it*)

It started kind of interesting. Coz really, Alessandra's characteristic is new to me. I've read of heroines being stubborn or ignorant or geniusly genius (like June from the Legend Trilogy), but she's first to be very brave with the right amount of stubbornness, humor and impulsiveness.

It got a bit slow-paced after that up to 2/3 of the book. But when the turning point started kicking, my adrenaline rush raged at full speed up to the last page. I can't think of anything other than diving into this world with Alessanra. Actually, there's nothing much I would like to say or recommend in this book coz it's already perfect. So perfect that it left me hanging on a line barely breathing.

For the romance part... how do I say it? It's special. It doesn't have anything PG in it but it still made me blush furiously in public. Yes, I was giggling and squealing in public and I'm not ashamed of it. (*stops typing for a moment coz fangirling*)

I'm okay now. (*squeals again because FEELS*)

OTP!!! (*hyperventilating coz fangirl FEELS*)

I'm sorry but I have to stop right here coz I gotta go pet the book. Oh, and I'll be dying here waiting for the sequel.

*My Thoughts*

Omega is the first installment in author Lizzy Ford's Young Adult Dystopian/Mythology series called Omega. The series features 18-year old Alessandra aka Lyssa. Lyssa has lived in an isolated orphanage run by priests ever since she was Six years old. When she was Six, Herakles, a former Olympian, rescued her after her parents died. For Twelve years, Lyssa has been under the guidance of Herakles. He has trained her and conditioned her, and warned her continually to never ever stray from the woods for which he has tested her. He has kept her from knowing about the real world which is facing a grim reality.

In the beginning I was a bit surprised and weirded out by how Alessandra just walked around shrugging at the consequences and dangers.

Me: That is a high security facility with a reputation for torture so horrible people would rather be slaughtered.
Alessandra: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Me: You know you shouldn't trust anyone. Especially not Lantos, Niko and Cleon.
They breathe. Alessandra follows.

Me: Are you sure you should do that...?
Alessandra:¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I think I liked this story so much because I knew all these little background stories of the characters. Alessandra was sooo confused all the time with all the tension and motives going on between all of them.

In the beginning I cringed at the thought of Alessandra and Mismatch. I mean, the relationship between them when she was 6 was just so freaking cute. I couldn't stop seeing him as 45+ but he only was around 25. In the end, I converted to their ship.

Looking forward to the sequel.

I hate to say this, but I found this book quite boring. Nothing was happening. It just seems to keep on dragging and dragging. There is hardly any content in it. I fished the book in the end , but I must say I am really disappointed in it.

An ARC was given by the author in exchange of an honest review **

I finished Omega in 5 days! It was supposed to be 3 days but I have many things to do so it took me that long. First a big thank you for Lizzy Ford for trusting me her book. It means so much to me!

This is my first time reading a book of her, hence also my first time reading a Dystopian book with Greek Mythology theme. For the first couple of pages everything was vague to me since the Priest told something important to Alessandra regarding her true identity. But she was amazing she can do things the nymphs can't do! That is the kind of heroine I love the one that is not always a damsel in distress and always have some fight in her. Adonis was first so bad for me. The typical bad ass leader with the super awesome abilities and skills plus the looks! I think I'm gonna melt if I see him! But as I keep on reading I was squealing when he's with Alessandra! Like oh my golly he's so sweet! Very protective to Alessandra and to know why read it ok? Joij my fandom! Hence I ship them immediately! Niko on the other hand is ruthless but warm when it comes to his son apparently he's the opposite of Theodocia the High Priestess and the mother of his son. The couple both loved their son and has their own way of protecting him. The Supreme Magistrate is soooo EVIL. That's it. The Supreme Priest meanwhile is cruel but at the same time he has the heart. Not to mention he's also handsome! So many handsome characters why oh why?! My favorite of the Triumvirate is the Silent Queen because of her story based on the book of Omega. The plot is really fast paced. I mean action is everywhere but romance is not forgotten. The thing that I love this is that it makes me think every time I read this. On how the story will go, what is the purpose of each character in the life of Alessandra. I mean it really makes me think and be surprised every page of it. Who to trust, who to like for Alessandra what will happen next. After reading the book I was like "That's it? I'm going to wait next year for Theta?" I was screaming in my head what will happen to my poor Alessandra and Adonis if they're apart? All in all I was really impressed on Lizzy Fords writing for Omega and I'm waiting for Theta to come out soon! Guys this book is perfect if you love Greek Mythology! It's now available on Amazon and to your local bookstores so grab a copy now!

I would first like to mention that if you didn’t read the pre-quels you definitely should. They add another dimension to the motives and actions of the main and secondary characters. I’m not sure if it would be peachy-keen to read this book without having read them, but I couldn’t help myself and read them all and pre-ordered the book. lol I know for certain that when Cleaon or Lantoes had a scene in the book, along with thinking that they were mega asshats, having a better understanding of how they got where they were made what they did more WTF worthy. Also, knowing the story behind Adonis, Phoibe and the rest ... well like I said another dimension or facet to the characters.
I finally got to reading the entire book and finished it last night, so I still have a bit of a biblio-high when it comes to attempting to spit out what I thought of it. I can say for sure that it was well worth the wait and I can’t wait to read the next book. Talk about betrayals, I always thought of Niko as having shifty motives, but what is his real agenda and is he congenitally unable to tell the freaking truth? Oh man I hope that Herakles is going to finally find his mission in life, instead of having to live by someone else’s plans—his whole story makes me a sad panda. Lyssa always went on about wanting to experience the world outside of the forest she had to be in for 12 years, but actually having to be out in the real world? At points her naiveté had me doing mental facepalms, but it added some authenticity to her decisions. I love the character of Adonis and how he meshes with Lyssa and am really looking forward to reading more about him.
I could go on about all of the characters, but I will just say that I loved the book, Ford, so far, has never disappointed me and I look forward to the next installment of Lyssa’s story.

LOVED it!!! Like WOW! It was so awesome! I've been reading the mini series and I already knew the characters so it was nice to see them all grown up.
The story is full of action and surprises and you will definitely fall in love with the characters, most of them anyways. We have a few villains and they are bad, like you want to slap them silly bad.
Adonis (Mismatch) OMG! What can I say, bad boy, monster and I am totally in LOVE!!! How can I fall in love with a grotesque? Only me, lol!
Loved Alessandra as a grown up and the discovery of what she is and what she is destined to do was pretty cool, even if you don't read the mini series, although you should, you will love her.
Lantos, hmmm, don't know about him yet.... I'm still deciding.
The Silent Queen, is she good? I don't know yet... Loved Docy and I'm happy they are still together, I think they have become best friends and it was nice.
Niko, UGH! I wanted to like him, I have decided I don't like him, maybe he will change in the next book? Who knows...
Leandra is like the best friend that you totally love but she is a total bi@tch and you just hate her. I'm glad she is in the story, I really liked her.
Not a whole lot of romance but you know there is a love story in there and eventually I think we will get it in full force.
The story is really good and will keep you reading. I will recommend it to all my friends.

So there was an error here or there. Maybe five total. But I can't give it less than five stars for that, because errors happen. Awesome plots, not so much...and this had an awesome plot!
I am a big fan: this story was excellent. Unfortunately, I have to wait for the next book, but this one was action-packed with excellent world building (a little complex at times, but definitely rich and imaginative). The story was creative: a girl who doesn't know she is the Oracle of Delphi finds out when her world implodes and everyone (Gods and men) are after her and want something from her. In the meantime, Adonis, a sexy bad monster at night and utter Godliness by day, has a past with Alessandra, and it becomes clearer as the book goes on. I know now that I want to read the rest of the series, because it ends on a major cliffhanger, and I am dying to know what happens next.
If you're a fan of dystopian fiction with fantasy elements and Gods (mythology yay!!) then this is a book you should check out. Ford is a pretty creative writer. This is the first of her works that I have read, but I think now I'll have check out some other books by her now.
Five stars!! Love it love it love it!!!

As someone who loves to read the Young Adult genre as an adult, it's easy for me to get tired of the eye-roll worthy, over cliched structures of a majority of said genre. My search, as a YA book reviewer, is to find stories that go above and beyond to break away from those over-cliched structures dominating the store bookshelves. It's always refreshing to come upon such a story and Omega is included in such.

It's been a bit since I've read a book so unique with an attention-grabbing plot, wonderfully detailed characters, and a sense of confusion (the good kind). Let me explain.

I'm the type of reader who loves to be thrown this way and that way when it comes to plot. I like to not be able to know who I should trust and who the main character shouldn't trust. In Omega, I got just that and loved every second of it. When you start thinking you could trust one person... (more via website)

What a journey! If you have read any of the Omega Beginnings serials, you have an idea of the events that took place twelve years before this one takes place. I LOVE the fact that you get to see how the decisions from those books play a part into the lives of the characters in this one. That being said Lizzy always creates a world for me to submerge myself into and this one is NO different. The characters she creates always seem to tug at my heart. I mean who falls in love with a Grotesque? This chick right here- that's who. She can take even the strangest of creatures and bring them to life in a way that you look past all of that and see the bigger picture behind the character. I think reading about Mismatch's time before definitely helped sway my feelings towards him a bit. The twists and turns are endless and you find things and people are not always what they seem. And with everyone seeming to have an agenda of their own it becomes very hard to figure out who to trust. I can't tell you too much with-out giving things away but if you love a good fantasy this is definitely the read for you and has become my newest favorite series of hers.

One of the most TSTL protagonists I have ever read about.

She knows no fear. First of all, she's always so quick to point out how capable she is at everything. Ever heard of hiding your talents to better surprise people and therefore get the better of them in the future? She also thinks it wise to walk into a heavily fortified compound with nothing but her "capabilities." No plan. Just "Hey, I'm gonna walk in, do what I have to do, and I'm sure I'll get out again sometime!" Also, she has the audacity to be surprised when someone sells her out, when said person specifically warns her and supplies her with the knowledge to figure out that said person is getting nothing out of helping her. Because honestly, in a world of oppression and fear, some random person is going to help you for no reason at all, at high risk to their own person, out of the goodness of their heart. SO many facepalms.

The one positive point I want to point out is that the author's writing style flows nicely. The first thing I look for in a novel is whether the words flow, somewhat like a thought process with no awkward pauses. She succeeds in this. Everything else? Not so much.

This is one of those stories you will hate to love, and love a lot. The depressing and heart-ripping drama that is Alessandra's life is written out in this book, simple and bared for your reading pleasure. You know not to care, you know that if you do it's going to suck when the inevitable crap happens but you can't help it. There is no lie. From the very beginning, it is known that nothing good can come of reading this book. it will only hurt you, but, because it's just that good, you read on. and read on. and the little bits of hope snag on you and keep you where you are, makes you stay to the end.
and then BAM BAM BAM and RIIIIIP, there goes your heart because you knew it was going to hurt and be a depressing, crappy end and YET you dared to hope. hope that all your care would be for naught. Because you do read and you do end up caring for Alessandra and her people. But it's not enough. Because in the end,you are left sad and alone and miserable as you WAIT FOR THE NEXT BOOK TO GET HERE SO YOU CAN FEEL SO MUCH BETTER DAMMIT!

Yes, yes. And even with all the sucky crappy heart ripping shitty ends.....
A definite Recommend ;)

WOW!!! I read all the mini books (Mismatch, Alessandra and Phoibe) and was thrilled when I realized that Omega was a continuation of what happened in those books. -- With that said, I really suggest that you read those before starting Omega - it will make a heck of a lot more sense to you.

Lizzy Ford has totally outdone herself with Omega -- the descriptions of the characters and there surroundings will have you feeling like you are there among them while reading. I feel for Lyssa (Alessandra) and all that she is put through. I don't write spoilers - so, I won't say much about exactly what happens in the story - BUT, Lizzy is notorious for having a cliffhanger at the end!!!

I will warn you that when you start reading this book - make sure you have plenty of time allotted to read!!! This is one of those books that you will find hard to put down once you start reading.

I received a complimentary copy of OMEGA in exchange for my honest review. All opinions shared are 100% my own.

What an amazing journey. Lizzy has once again drawn me into her world with this series. If you have ever read Lizzy Ford book you will understand what I mean when I say I felt every emotion with Alessandra. I cried and laughed and was so angry at times.
Alessandra is thrust into a world that she has no real knowledge of in order to fulfil a destiny she was not aware was hers. She must figure out who she can trust and who is out to hurt her. Unfortunately everyone seems to have their own agenda well everyone except for mismatch and Mrs Nettles they both want to be there for her but that was not always the case with mismatch.

I loved this story and can not wait to read the next one and find out what Alessandra will do next and how she will fulfil her destiny with so much greed and corruption.

I highly recommend this book to everyone who loves a story that sucks you right in.

Unexpected, original and a total mind-bend. This book really makes you think and deal with the harsh realities of this world. I was blown away by how the plot played out. I never really knew what was going to happen. It kept me guessing, on the edge of my seat until the very end and beyond. I'm highly anticipating the next book.
The characters were full of depth and dimension. Alessandra was a fantastic character. She was smart, tough, independent, sassy and fun. Mismatch was another of my favorites. There are so many layers to his character I can't wait until they're all uncover and I can discover more about his past.
I highly recommend this book to those who love mythology, action-packed and dark fantasy books.

I have really mixed feelings about this one, it's not a bad book but it managed to piss me off. Let me explain, it's probably due to my control freak nature the fact that the protagonist has no control whatsoever over anything that happens in her life and she's basically being manhandled by a bunch of selfish a**holes pisses me off. I actually like Alessandra and Mismatch they are great, strong and intelligent capable of amazing things. Alessandra is a girl with a backbone she has the training to defend herself yeah she's been sheltered which makes her a little naive but she doesn't strike me as a helpless girl which is what makes me so angry about the story. Will I read the next book? Maybe. It's an interesting story and I love Greek mythology so we'll see.

What a creative story! I was intrigued from the beginning to end. You have a young female, Alessandra, that carries the fate of the human and Gods world at her hands. There is very few she can trust and so much she needs to learn. As a reader, you are constantly guessing who is good and who is evil. Alessandra is very powerful yet at the mercy of so many. I kept finding myself angry on her behalf every time someone tries to use her for their own gain. Then there's the bond between Alessandra and Adonis. The possibilities of what they can become together is very intriguing. I can't wait for the next book to find out what happens. Loved it!

A brilliant book, I read this in one sitting, it was late last night and I had to keep turning those pages until I found out what happened. I loved the characters, the Greek gods/goddesses, the story line, Adonis and of course Mrs nettles. Did I mention Adonis?
I can't wait till book 2 so I can find out his history.

I love anything with an Ancient Greek twist. And this author puts her own stamp on it. This book live up to expectations and out passed them.

This book had me wondering who can Alessandra trust?

Highly recommended for those who like Ancient Greek history.

This was a good book with some interesting characters and an interesting plot. I did however find Alessandra to be annoying at times and the plot itself was a bit confusing. Overall, this was a good book but it wasn't great; it didn't have that edge that awesome books have and for me the characters fell a bit flat.

Thank you NetGalley, for providing me a copy of this book!

I came into Omega super excited, because I LOVE ME some Greek mythology and the idea of a story focusing on the Oracle of Delphi and it's tale, set in the modern world where the gods are warring against each other for dominance and the Triumvirate, their representatives on Earth, are tangled into political plots against each other was something that immediately grabbed my attention. Unfortunately, this book fell completely short. While other books succeed in blending the traditional myths with their plot and their own world, Omega only took the idea of gods and threw the rest away. There were so many possibilities here! So many things to enrich this book! I think I could have survived this disappointment, though, because still the plot seemed interesting in the first two chapters....and then it all went to hell thanks to bad writing, cut out sentences, a completely one-dimensional MC and main love interest, as well as a very plain and uninteresting romance, so many convoluted political plots it was hard to follow and next to none character development, too many characters and almost none of them developed to keep the reader interested in them - or only enough information dump to leave you wondering if it's worth to continue just know if this or that character has a hidden agenda, a past that could explain their actions or if they are just assholes. The world building is also very, very lazy. I had a hard time following what was happening at first, especially because Lissa was stuck in a forest for almost all her life and knew as much about the outside as the reader did, so that complicated the understanding of how this universe worked even more.

Now, let's talk about Alessandra. This girl is bipolar, SERIOUSLY. I mean, one minute she's jealous of the nymphys and complaining about the boys they steal from her, the next she's thinking herself superior over them. One second she's angry with Herakles, THE VERY NEXT LINE SHE FORGIVES HIM. She says she don't trust anyone, BUT SHE LITERALLY TRUSTS EVERY FREAKING PERSON THAT SAYS TWO WORDS TO HER. Because, according to her, they all seem too convincing and have a way with words. WHAT.THE.HELL. Also, the girl learns that she is the Oracle from the prophecies, she's so powerful that all the gods, the Triumvirate and the underground resistance is looking for her to use her for their own gain and is told from the people that kept her safe her entire life that she needs to run and hide. What does she do? SHE WALKS THROUGH THE FRONT DOOR OF THE GOVERNMENT BUILDING. SHE SIMPLY WALKS IN! It felt like if Frodo decided to knock into Mordor's gates and offer the One Ring to Sauron! *facepalm*

The only reason this book is not a 1 star book is because some of the secondary characters have nice secret backstories and the book also ended with some things hanging, and I'm curious to find what how they'll sort themselves out. Also, Theodocia and Phoibe. They are good, I like them! Probably will read Omega Beginnings just to know Phoibe's and Docia's backstories, as well as Niko and Lantos. I'm kinda curious about some stuff that were mentioned in Omega but weren't fully answered and it seems to lead to these novellas. AND, since I have this terrible OCD of leaving things unfinished, I'll read the rest of the series. I hate that I can't just leave it be! UGH.
