I really tried to like this one because I’ve enjoyed other books by this author, but sadly it just wasn’t working for me.
I get that the heroine’s lack of confidence is the whole point of the story, and that her ex is responsible for a lot of those insecurities. I can also see how some readers will feel really seen by it. But for me, it was just a bit too much. The constant focus on how unattractive she thinks she is, especially the focus on the size of her breasts, became too repetitive.....
The writing also didn’t really work for me. The story is an adult romance, but the way the adult characters talked and interacted (especially the h's friends) felt so teenagey to me.
Sad cause I was really looking forward to this one.

Well well well, let me tell you when Kelly told me what she was writing. I just knew that I was going to absolutely devour this book in one sitting and I can’t really tell you much about what happened today that I read the book except for I felt like I was reading just an absolute Work of art. This book is sensational and fact that it is a 40+ year-old perimenopausal woman who has recently separated… it’s just me. Edie is my spirit character and Bea has just cemented her top spot on my favourites list!
This was my Beta read, but I will 💯 be buying myself a read copy and no doubt a trophy copy!!

✨️Fcuk. Me. Starlight. That’s her flavour. Pure, unfiltered starlight.✨️
If you're after a new vampire romance, then Her Vampire, His Ruin needs to be on the list! Not only does this vampire own a sex club, but our fmc is perimenopausal and brings a refreshing take to this romance.
Don't get me wrong, I love a bully college read as much as the next geriatric millennial, but reading about starting a romantic relationship during a time when our hormones hate us (again) gave an insight I never knew I needed. I love my husband (cue Ashley Judd in Double Jeopardy, IYKYK), but when I reach this stage of my life, he will technically be navigating a relationship with someone very different from whom he married. Poor guy!
Edie and Dorian's journey gave a glimpse of what life can be like during this stage, how thoughtful Dorian could be with the ultimate care package (THAT package included!) and has already set the bar high for what I will expect when my time comes.
I loved reading about this little found family. The main and side characters kept me entertained from page one, and I hope we see more of them.
Thank you so much to Bea for an early copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Another great read, and I'm so happy you got your mojo back!!

Before I start this review can i just say how pleased I was that this book was about an over 40 year old divorced, perimenopausal woman with a whole load of wit and sarcasm. It was refreshingly good to read about a woman in my age range instead of the normal 20 somethings (even though there was nothing wrong with that).
It was also a brilliant twist that this book was loosely based on the picture of Dorian Gray. Only that in this book the never aging man is Vampire - Dorian. A man living with the repercussions of events in his life until his path crosses with recently divorced - Edie. Flirty banter and steam with plenty of laughs throughout mainly Edie, her friend - Henrinetta and Evie's sister - Elizabeth (all of which had me in stitches). I enjoyed reading this so much. It was a knockout read.

This book had me hooked from the very first page until the end
A vampire and 40+ Perimenopause woman what a connection they had.
The chemistry and the tension between them was electric and intense
The banter between the pair had me laughing
I was swooning over Dorian and hot under the collar in the spice scenes - he definitely knows how to use what he's been gifted with.
I loved the storyline and the side characters definitely need to see more of those in any future booksm
The twists in the book had me on the edge of my seat.
Bea paige is one for my favourite UK indie authors and this book is high up there with all her other amazing work she had done
Thankyou for an amazing book

I have been chomping at the bit to read this book for a long while. I first started following Bea back in April of this year. Having begun my bookstagram journey in February, it was her post about a perimenopausal woman in her 40's falling for a 300 year old attractive, tatted and pierced vampire, that peaked my interest. I enjoy all kinds of books, fantasy being my favourite genre, but I have read cowboy romance, hockey romance, mafia romance, dark romance, historical fiction, both spicy and none spicy books. However, the one thing I have never come across, has been an FMC my age, experiencing all the feelings and issues that come from midlife. That's not to say I don't thoroughly enjoy characters of varying ages, but just like everyone else, being able to picture myself and relate to the main protaganist is something that everyone should have the opportunity to experience.
Despite applying for an ARC of Bea's new book on the last day of application, I was very fortunate to get one. And boy this book certainly did not disappoint. Bea's writing is incredible, descriptive and funny. Her Vampire His Ruin was a true page turner, that I completed in less than 2 days.
The FMC, Edie, is a no-nonsense 44 year old Primary School teacher who has recently divorced her cheating ex-husband. As if her life isn't currently complicated enough, she is coping as best she can with the symptoms of perimenopause. As a 48 year old woman myself, I can tell you it's no picnic and Bea depicts Edie's struggle accurately, but with a sense of humour that had me laughing and nodding along. She meets an extremely handsome man in a bar, MMC Dorian. Unbeknownst to Edie, he is a 300 year old vampire with a curse, who owns a s*x club. To say I was feral for this man is an understatement. What follows is a very well written story of their undeniable attraction to each other, the fate of Dorian's future and ultimately Edie's awakening as she realises her own self worth and desires.
The side characters in this book were fantastic. Edie's best friend, Henrietta, with her no filter attitude to life, was a wonderful addition to the story, and I have often said in reviews how much I love a really good female relationship, and they were a great team. Edie also has a sister and a niece who contribute yet more layers to the FMC's personality. As well as Dorian's lieutenants, who are both very different to each other and I absolutely loved them. I look forward to future books starring these characters.
The spice in this book was top tier, proving that older women can be desirable and worshipped.

Sexy vampire + perimenopausal sass queen was already enough to get me interested, but I didn’t expect to absolutely inhale this.
Edie was easily the standout for me. I loved that her perimenopause wasn’t treated like a gimmick or something that defined the entire romance; it was simply part of her life. She’s strong-willed, funny, insecure in ways that make complete sense after what she’s been through, and slowly learning that she is still sexy, desirable and absolutely allowed to take the reins of her own life. Watching her reclaim that confidence was probably my favourite part of the whole book.
Then there’s Dorian: ancient, possessive, powerful and very used to getting his own way... until Edie. Their chemistry is explosive from the start, with plenty of lust and open-door spice, but I really enjoyed the softer development underneath it too. Dorian hasn’t genuinely loved in a very long time, and watching him try to reconcile what he’s feeling with the increasingly concerning pain that comes with it kept me hooked.
For most of the book, the plot felt relatively simple and character-focused, which worked for me because I was having so much fun with Edie and Dorian — plus I desperately need more Hettie and Logan, and Elizabeth and Viktor! Then the final stretch suddenly ramps everything up with much higher supernatural and life-or-death stakes.
There were a handful of moments I would’ve happily seen given a little more room to breathe, particularly once everything escalated, but honestly that mostly came from wanting more rather than feeling dissatisfied.
This was funny, sexy, emotional and exactly the slump breaker I needed. I read about 20% one day and then basically spent every available moment the next day devouring the rest. And the bonus chapter? Completely unhinged. I fear Dorian, Logan and Viktor's little DIY project may now live rent free in my head forever.
Definitely continuing this series.

“No more excuses. I’m done.” Then she snatches her handbag and swoops down to pick up her shoes before striding past me and ripping open the door. “I never asked for any of this,” she throws over her shoulder. “I was happy to live alone for the rest of my life with my vibrators for company.” She glares at me, her chest heaving. “I was a fool to come here, a fool to believe I could separate sex from emotion. But I’ve done it again. I’ve allowed another man to slip past my defences, to sink his claws into my heart and tear it from my fucking chest. I don’t want to be vulnerable again, and I sure as fuck I don’t need another man like my husband.”
Honestly with this book there was so many quotes I could have put down ones that made me laugh out loud and then ones that made me go damn but this part hit me in the feels like every book from bea Paige manages to do and trust me I'm not complaining she is one of my must read authors I would read a menu if she wrote it out it that way.
This was Bea's venture into paranormal romance and it does not dissapoint and what I loved even more about this series is the female main character isn't a young girl she is 44 and going through perimenopause and everything a female of that age would go through is right there on the page there is no hiding it.
Edie has now become one of my new fave characters cause she's real. The fact that she's going through a divorce and her ex was a narcissist who made her feel less that what she is makes your heart feel for her. Her snark and fire makes you cheer her on and then you get her no filter bestie and I am all for it. Now the mmc is a vampire and well when ya hear his back story you don't know if you wanna love him or hate him but hey who doesn't love a good curse and redemption arc.
I can't wait to see what bea does with this story and where she is gonna take us in the next book.

A 40+ perimenopausal, Veuve Cliquet drinking woman who loves kids but loves her freedom more and who’s sworn off men for the rest of her life. Apart from the divorced element of this story, this could be me I swear.
With a fierce BFF, a supportive sister and a spunky niece this book is full of fabulously fierce females, even Sybil and they had me laughing out loud and nodding my head in agreement all the way through.
“ I don’t dislike men. I’ve just yet to meet one that isn’t a disappointing prick”
🖤🩶🖤 Elizabeth & Viktor, Henrietta & Logan. The side characters/ found family in this story are just as great as the main characters. I can’t wait for their books, Ms Paige, if you need a Beta or Arc Reader for the next instalments, I would love to 🩶🖤🩶
Reading this I’ve never wanted to pierce both my nipples so much in all my life. Sign me up to the fanged piercer, I may have a couple of requests. Also, anyone know where I can get a Jacob’s ladder replica toy? Asking for a friend 😝
This story was everything, we need more 40+ kick ass women. It was so nice to read a story in which I could 100% relate to a FMC and I’ve always had a soft spot for a vampire love story. Oh also, I’m with Hettie too, if no longer being perimenopausal “comes with the fangs, sign me up”
Had I not had to adult this book would have been read in a day, next instalments I’m making sure I have nothing planned. I was so invested in the story I completely forgot about the bonus scene that came with pre-ordering directly from the author. I did read it during the story and it was brilliant. You can clearly see in the writing how much fun you had with that scene 🤣🤣

I ate the book up like an all you can eat buffet and I still could not get enough of it!!!!!
I am never going to do this book justice in my review. I want to keep typing just "Read it....no seriously read it!!!"
It is hysterical, heartfelt, and HOT!!! Like this book could classify as a one-handed read, if you catch my drift. Not one scene - ALL the scenes are that knicker melting!!!!!
Edie is a 44 year old divorcee who is currently battling the perimenopause dragon but she meets Dorian who just happens to be a 300 year old drop dead sexy vampire who also owns a s3x club and is cursed. He finds out that her selfish ex-husband never took care of her pleasure and makes it his mission to help Edie O, O, O.
I loved that this author specifically wrote a woman in perimenopause!! Edie, knows what she wants, takes control and is 1,000% bratty/snarky while also being insecure and full of emotions. She doesn't care that she is in her 40's and wants to explore her sexuality/k!nks just like the younger girls.
Yeah welcome to the dragon and kudos for how brilliantly Bea Paige wrote that into Edie's character. I felt seen.
And Dorian. Poor Poor Dorian. Listen I am color blind and maybe some might call his stalker-ish behavior a red flag and he might maybe nudge his toe over a boundary or two but that man is down bad for Edie. Plus he owns up to his mistakes and apologizes to Edie for those things. So who am I to call it bad behavior. HAHA
The curse is handled well, the twist was perfectly executed (not the one you expect - the one you didn't), and I absolutely spent my time laughing hysterically, wondering who turned the heat up (it was Dorian), and yelling at the characters.
And speaking of hysterical - when you are done reading you are going to down load the chapter and for your safety you will need to:
Make sure you do not have to pee
Remove any food or beverage from your reach
Then set aside about 20-30 minutes to read a 10 minute bonus chapter
It is really hard to read through the tears of laughter. If I think about that chapter, I start cracking up again!!
Brava ma'am. BRAVA!!!!
I really would like my 300 year old hot vampire now please...Is there are store or something???

I had the pleasure of ARC reading this and the only way I can describe this book is perfection!!!!
I'm a hardcore classic vampire lover. I grew up watching The Lost Boys, Buffy (film and tv series), Angel, Interview with a Vampire etc (all down to my mum 😍) so when authors these days announce they are writing a vampire romance I roll my eyes and instantly know it isn't going to be my thing because they are going to end up making them mushy and sparkly (I do indeed like the twilight books but still....sparkles?! Come on 🙄) l but when Bea announced she was writing one I knew I would read it regardless because of my live if her writing. I can honestly hand on heart tell you this book is incredible!!
The classic vampire traits were all there! They had to be invited in, they couldn't go out during the day.....perfection!!
Now everyone loves a tattooed bad boy but this book was so much more than that. It was about 2 people having come from very different lives but ultimately learning the same thing, how to love themselves and eachother.
Edie is trying to get over her shitty cheating ex husband and Dorian is only too happy to help her with that! Their chemistry is something else and this book shows us just how spicy it is 🌶 🌶 🌶 🌶 🌶 from the beginnjng of their relationship. I had my suspicions about towards the end of the book but it was done so spectacularly that there were still some things I hadn't expected!!
I don't want to spoil anything so I won't say anything more other than GO.READ.THIS.BOOK.
I loved everything about this book, it was funny, hot and even had me teary in places.

🧛♀️🖤 HER VAMPIRE, HIS RUIN by Bea Paige 🖤🧛♂️
This retelling of The Picture of Dorian Gray captivated me from the very beginning! I connected with Edie so easily, and I absolutely loved how relatable and real she felt.
Edie is freshly divorced from a cheating husband (EW 😒), wonderfully snarky, and navigating life with all the changes that come with getting older. I especially appreciated seeing a heroine whose body and experiences actually reflect her age. As a reader, I sometimes have a hard time connecting with characters who are always portrayed as impossibly perfect, so seeing Edie embrace her perimenopausal body and openly acknowledge the changes in her hormones made her feel refreshingly authentic.
The character development was fantastic, and I am officially obsessed with Henrietta! 😂 She brought so much personality and humor to the story and had me laughing more than once.
There were twists I definitely did NOT see coming, and the story kept me turning pages because I genuinely didn’t want to put it down. I laughed, I cried, and I found myself completely invested in Edie’s journey.
What I loved most is that while this is absolutely a vampire romance, the story also feels surprisingly REAL. The characters, emotions, friendships, and struggles make it so much more than just vampires and romance.
If you’re looking for a unique paranormal romance with a Dorian Gray twist, memorable characters, humor, emotional moments, and plenty of surprises, Her Vampire, His Ruin is definitely one to add to your TBR! 🖤🧛♀️

Bea Paige has done it again!!!
I can’t even begin to describe how much I loved Her Vampire, His Ruin. From the very moment Bea introduced this book, I knew I had to read it and that I would love it. I love everything that Bea has written. From Academy of Stardom to Their Obsession to Grim and Beast to Princetown Heirs, I’ve loved every single one of them. Bea knows exactly how to capture your attention with her storytelling. Her Vampire, His Ruin is another amazing example of that. This story is definitely one of my favorite reads of the year, and now I can’t wait for the next story in this series because I’m so ready to read about Viktor and Logan!
Edie is newly divorced and perimenopausal at the age of 44, and she is so over men. Dorian, a 300-year-old vampire, has been cursed to a life in which he cannot fall in love or he will die. Edie and Dorian can’t fall in love because of their past, but they both can’t stop the feelings. Heartbreak, death, or both seem to be the only outcome. Is there any other option?
Edie and Dorian had me in a chokehold. I loved the banter between them. I loved how, when Dorian knew he'd messed up, he did everything he could to explain what happened. I loved Edie and the way she became more confident in herself and with Dorian. I just loved them so much, and I wish I had moreeeee of them.
Her Vampire, His Ruin was so good. This story had it all. The emotions, the banter, the spice, and the journey. It was so amazing. I need you all to go check it out!

Her Vampire His Ruin by Bea Paige Book 1 in Avant Garde Vampires
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌶🌶🌶½💀💀
I wish I could articulate the absolute delight this book was to read.
The menopausal rage, frustration and annoyance was superbly written. However the man understanding all of this and not blaming, shaming or running away but supporting and spoil is an absolute unicorn, well technically vampire. Still fictional. 😂
Edie finally free from her cheating ex husband out celebrating, gets hit on by a devilishly handsome Dorian. But its not that simple. Drawn together by chemistry or magic. Dorian finds himself enamoured by Edie and Edie is finally experiencing pleasure. But secrets are hard to keep and they always come out to play.
I can't wait for the next book as there is two couple waiting for their shenanigans. Brilliant read.
Tropes:
Primal. Second chance. He falls first and hard.
Cursed. 300 old vampire. Smexy club. Stalking. Replica of his love muscle. Soft BDSM.
Quotes:
“Will you submit to me, Dorian?” she asks,
“Don’t tell me you’re my Prince Charming and I’m your Cinderella, because I can assure you, whilst those are my shoes, my feet are so swollen from wearing them all day no amount of shoving them back in will make them fit.”
“Please don’t give up. Just switch your emotions off. Fight. Please, fight.” “I can’t do that, Edie. I can no more stop loving you than I can stop the sun from rising,” I say. “You love me?” Edie whispers. “Yes. I love you,” I repeat,

Her Vampire, His Ruin had me at 44-year-old, perimenopausal, divorced FMC. More middle-aged women in paranormal romance, please.
Edie is dealing with low self-esteem after years in a thankless marriage, a painful divorce and generally being made to feel like she isn’t enough. She’s also ragey. Is it the hormones? Is it years of being hurt and overlooked finally bubbling over? Probably a bit of both, and I loved her for it. Then she meets Dorian, a 300-year-old vampire, who massages her feet in a bar and the rest is history!
I really enjoyed the dynamic between them because they seem to have completely different ideas about what’s happening. Edie sees Dorian as a fling, something hot and exciting that surely has an expiry date. Dorian, meanwhile, knows this is absolutely not a fling but is struggling understand how this woman can have such an affect on him.
His POV chapters were some of my favourites. He’s protective, lustful and completely captivated by Edie, but there’s also something really tender about the way he sees her, especially when it’s contrasted with how she sees herself. And I loved how much time he spends trying to hold himself back when he quite clearly wants to devour her. In more ways than one.
I also really liked watching Edie begin to heal from some of the damage her marriage left behind. Dorian doesn’t magically fix her insecurities, but being seen and desired by someone who thinks she’s bloody wonderful certainly helps her start seeing herself differently too.
There are plenty of laughs along the way, and the two female side characters add such a great dynamic. Henrietta is an absolute delight, while Dorian’s sister Elizabeth is... decidedly less delightful. Somehow I could see little bits of myself in all three women, which probably says something I don’t need to examine too closely.
The ending goes full drama, in the best way, and left me very ready to read the other characters’ stories.
Funny, bloody, sexy and refreshingly grown-up. Give me more ragey, middle-aged women falling for vampires who worship them please!

"This is what you do to me, sitting there in your kitchen, your hair in a messy bun, your beautiful breasts hidden beneath a dirty t-shirt, your cheeks flush and your eyes wide with lust. You're beautiful to me. You turn me on."
Ahhhhhhh Dorian 🖤🤌🏼 My newest book husband 🖤 Possessive yet vulnerable, swoon worthy vampire with pierced 🍆 and tattoos, yes please 🤤
This was one of the best books I've read this year. When I saw the author post on IG about ARC opportunity I RAN to apply 😅 And it didn't disappoint!! Even tho this book has an older FMC (44) with perimenopause and I'm younger (33), it was still 100% worth of reading 😍 Edie's story was so relatable!
"Take your hands off my woman before I remove them from your f*cking body."
I loved how spicy this book was 😍 And even when there were a lot of spice there were an amazing plot and the plot flowed forward.
Can't wait for the next books!!
"It's almost midnight. I should take you home."
"Are you worried I'm going to turn into a pumpkin?"
⬆️This had me giggling so bad 🤣 Loved the banter and relationship between Edie and Dorian! ❤️
"You are the beat of my heart. You are the throb in my veins. You are the reason I am more man than vampire. You are the reason I'm alive today."
I received this book as an ARC from the author and I'm leaving this review voluntarily.

⭐️4.75/5 🌶️4/5
This book is yet another example why Bea Paige is one of my favorite authors !
"Her Vampire, His Ruin" is well written, has a great storyline and amazing characters, and I was immersed in the story right away. I loved that it was fun, hot and emotional !
I fell in love with Dorian and Edie the minute I started reading the book and their chemistry is everything !
I loved their banter and how obsessed they were with each other, but also really enjoyed how they grow individually and have their own journeys.
I haven't read a vampire book in ages and the curse part was perfectly written and for once, even if I kinda suspected something would happen, I did not see the twist coming 👏🏼
The side characters were also amazing and really brought something to the book. They all have their own personalities and I can't wait to see who's story is next !
Without spoiling anything, the only reason I'm not giving it 5 full stars is because I wished Dorian would "grovel" more / Edie would make him work for it more throughout the book haha
This is a unique paranormal romance that actually feels real and if you want to read a spicy yet emotional story with humor then this one is for you !
❤️ 40+ FMC and Midlife romance
🌹Perimenopause representation
🩸Vampires
🥀 The curse that must be broken

ARC review:
I was so lucky to receive an ARC for this book because Bea absolutely delivered with this one! What do you get when you have a cursed 300 year old hot vampire and a woman in her 40s going through perimenopause? A masterpiece, that’s what! Dorian had me swooning from chapter one! Edie was such a badass and despite her insecurities she made him work for her affection. I love that the FMC was older than what I’m used to, being in her early 40s and going through perimenopause. This is a great representation of how women deserve love and pleasure at any stage of their lives.
I loved getting inside of Dorian’s head and seeing how obsessed and possessive he was! He would take into consideration what her body was going through and being so understanding, ugh I loved it! The “self care gifts” he gave her had me kicking my feet! Edie and Dorian’s chemistry was off the charts. Also watching Dorian fighting to not give in to his monster instincts because he was afraid of losing or hurting Edie was amazing to see. The side characters and their different personalities just made the story even better. This was a “just one more chapter” kind of book for me. If you’re looking for a hot vampire read then check out Dorian and Edie’s story. This was my first read from Bea and it will definitely not be my last!

You know a book is going to be good when it starts with a divorcee and vampire walk into a bar. And did this book not disappoint! This book meant so much to me because it was the first time I was gifted an ARC from my absolute favorite author but it was a story that I could almost relate to complete. As a mom of two who is older, finding stories where I can relate to the FMC is hard because I have lived a lot of life and have my life mostly figured out. But Edie, was the perfect FMC, she was strong willed and knew her own mind and didn’t need reassurance to know what she wanted. But she also didn’t just accept what was being shown to her or ignore it either. She treated each interaction the way I feel an adult should.
This book will be one that I will continually recommend to my friends who want an older character that feels slightly more relatable to older readers.
My only issue with this book was Elizabeth in the beginning. I understand being protective of family but there’s being protective and then there’s being abusive and brash. It felt like Elizabeth was leaning more towards the latter in the beginning and that was slightly frustrating for me. but otherwise I loved this book like I do every other Bea Paige book.

I really loved that Bea wrote a vampire romance that wasn’t about some 20-year-old woman with a perfect body who somehow catches the eye of the broody, impossibly hot vampire. Instead, we get Edie, a woman in her 40s, newly divorced, navigating perimenopause and trying to figure out who she is and, maybe more importantly, what she actually wants.
And honestly? I felt so represented by her.
I loved watching Edie rediscover herself and her desires, and I especially loved that Dorian was there to encourage her to explore them. There was something incredibly satisfying about seeing a woman who has spent so much of her life figuring out everyone and everything else finally get to figure out herself. And yes, Dorian absolutely understood the assignment. 😂
But what really surprised me was how much I enjoyed the Dorian Gray retelling. It would have been incredibly easy for this to feel like another recycled version of a familiar story, but Bea put her own spin on it and made it feel fresh rather than simply repackaging something we've already seen a hundred times.
This was sexy, fun, refreshing, and—most importantly for me, relatable. I loved seeing a woman in her 40s get to be the heroine, get to be desired, and get to have her own journey of rediscovering herself.

OMG this is absolutely frigging amazing
Firstly where have I been !!!!
Bea Paige i have followed on Tik Tok for a while this book peaked my interest straight away as I am also peri menopausal 🤣. And I did wonder how this could be written into a book about a 300 year old vampire who is absolutely FIT as….
Well let me tell you this book is frigging amazing and you need to pick it up today.
Not only is the story so so so good and not predictable the plot is amazing, the back story is so so good and I’ve already fallen in love with these two and all the other characters. It’s great to read a story that is relatable to women of a certain age and for a woman to be desirable after the age of 40. It’s a breath of fresh air. I loved how much he falls so hard for his FMC Edie. I love the confidence he gives her and all the sass she gains after a relationship/marriage that totally drained and sucked the life out of her.
I don’t do spoilers in reviews but I will say I was hooked instantly, it’s brilliantly written, it’s funny it’s spicy 🌶️🌶️🌶️ don’t get me started on the wonderful gift package Dorian sent🍆🤣🙌 the man is a legend.
I’m instantly waiting on book 2 please don’t make us wait too long Bea because this series is going to be so so so good🙌🤞🙌🤞

I loved every moment of the rollercoaster ride that is Dorian and Edie's relationship. If you love an obsessed possessive MMC this book is for you!
Edie is a 40+ year old divorced women who has been taken advantage of for years by her ex. When she meets Dorian their chemistry is electric but she doesn't follow his commands she finds her power and demands he follow her lead never backing down. I loved Edie and getting to read her get her Mojo back.
Dorian has been around 300+ years and is used to getting his way without the entanglement of feelings. But as things progress with Edie he slowly starts to feel again causing him much distress and pain. These two fought their atrraction and feelings for so long making you wonder will they or won't they ever give in.
🖤man obsessed
❤️perimenopausal women
🖤 hes pierced
❤️let me teach you 😜
🖤cursed MMC
❤️Cheating Husbands
I cannot say enough good things about this book, i didn't want it to end. Everyone of the characters where perfect in their own way and I cannot wait to get to read their stories. I DEFINITELY recommend adding this as your next read!

First I know, if it's written by Bea Paige I know i'm going to love it. And I did the idea behind a perimenopausal, 44 year old newly divorced woman upon the eve of her divorce being head on why not one, But two men in a hotel bar sign me up. Now this is completely different from anything that she has written before. It is paranormal vampire romance. He is absolutely crazy about her. And while it does have some of the classic traits of a vampire romance that you would think of I do like the spin and take that Bea has put on it. I think it still was fresh and I absolutely loved our FMC Edie. She won't have and accept anything less than she deserves after what she experienced with her last partner. And i'm not going to lie. The opening prologue i did have to go back and read it again after certain part hit. Because while I read it and I remembered parts of it, I had to reacquaint myself with it again. Overall, i'm excited for this new series by Bea. I'm also obssesed with Hettie. I need her book as soon as possible. And I absolutely cannot wait to dive in. And see what else Bea brings with a series!!

🩸 Her Vampire His Ruin by @beapaigeauthor
Holy Fangs! This book was sensuous and spicy with rich main characters that I loved, even if I cursed Dorian out from time to time.
I sincerely hope to see Viktor get his own love story, what a teddy bear, and Logan might turn out to be just as hot as Dorian! 🥵
Our tortured MMC, Dorian, was intelligent, witty, sexy AF, and wanted our woman Edie for all the right reasons, and made her see herself in a new light, while also blowing her socks off with his many.. talents!
I loved Edie and her story, seeing a great cast of women supporting each other is amazing, both Beth and Hettie were brilliant, flirty, feisty, and funny.
I love the Dorian Grey inspiration, and I think it was the perfect amount of references, so it is an homage, while also being its own unique tale.
If you like Vampires, if you enjoy spicy scenes with a sizzling hot and p*erced MMC, you want to read about grown people (FMC is 44 years old) and you love a god romance with yearning, banter and chemistry that jumps off the page, you need to read Her Vampire His Ruin! 🔥

A story of redemption and rediscovery
As a 46 year old female, I definitely related to the main character. So often, this age demographic is overlooked, or real-life struggles with hormones just get glossed over or completely ignored, making those of us in real life wonder if something is wrong with us. I love that this story doesn't shy away from discussing the less wonderful parts of getting older. This story is about heartbreak and redemption and rediscovering the spark that makes life worth living. One thing I loved was the comparison between two types of cheaters. There are those who truly feel remorseful and actually acknowledge the pain they caused, and then there are those who fall into the "once a cheater, always a cheater" category. I loved this forbidden romance love story. It's always a bonus when the side characters are just as entertaining as the main characters. Grab this one if you are looking for a book that shows there is still plenty of life left to live after perimenopause. Sometimes, that is when you truly discover who you are. Can't wait to read the other stories.

Her Vampire, His Ruin was a spicy retelling of The Picture of Dorian Gray. I haven’t read the original, so the fact that it was a retelling was a little lost on me, but that didn’t stop me from enjoying the story.
There was a great cast of characters, including the vampires Dorian, Logan, Viktor and Sybil, along with Edie, her sister Elizabeth and her best friend Henrietta. While this is primarily Dorian and Edie’s story, we still get a good sense of the other characters and their personalities.
I loved that Edie is in her mid-40s and starting fresh after her divorce. After being walked all over in her marriage, she has learned to stand up for herself, and she certainly wasn’t going to let Dorian simply take charge. She was a real kick-ass female character, and I really enjoyed watching her grow in confidence.
As the story went on, I became more and more invested in whether Edie would discover who Dorian really was, and what would happen when she did. There were plenty of spicy scenes - probably a few too many for me - but I simply skimmed some of them because I was enjoying the story and wanted to see what happened next.
I can’t wait for the next one!

I am so absolutely grateful for this book. Unlike Edie, I am happily married, but I have certainly been completely shaken up by the symptoms of perimenopause. It changes us at such a cellular level that it feels like I’m a completely different person that I don’t even know anymore. And that’s without addressing the physical symptoms! Bea has shared publicly her own journey with this and it shows in the way she wrote this story with such empathy. It certainly made me feel seen and validated these rampant, complex emotions at this time in my life. Perimenopause can make you feel so powerless, so I love that Bea wrote Edie with a love interest that had the ability to overpower her at every turn, but instead gave way to allow her to explore her needs and preferences, but also gave her a safe place to reclaim her own power. Dorian is so gosh dang swoony, yeah, slightly reddish flags and all. Plus, I loved the secondary characters and look forward to getting into the next books!! This one was divine and the kind of impressive character work, but also immersive world-building that I have come to expect from Bea!

I really, really enjoyed this story!! Let me start off by saying how much I LOVED that these characters were older and this was a later in life book. As a woman of a certain age this really resonated with me. I also really enjoyed the seductive and empowering narrative.
Edie was such a relatable character. I saw myself in her so many times. I loved how resilient she was and how she stood up for herself. She was empathetic while also being firm with her choices.
My feelings for Dorian fluctuated through the story so it took me a bit to connect with him. I admired his dedication to protecting his clan and Edie. I did enjoy his growth as a character and how he was portrayed.
I loved the delightful dynamic between Edie, Hattie, and Beth when they all got together, especially with the guys. It was instant chemistry between all of them and such a fun time. I really loved the lore mixed in and the supernatural aspects. The writing was really well done and drew me in right away. I adored this story and would definitely recommend it!!

a fresh take on the usual vampire stories ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Dorian immediately reminded me of the original Dorian Gray, which made him such a fascinating character to follow. What really resonated with me, though, was Edie. As a perimenopausal FMC, she felt refreshingly real and relatable, and it was such a breath of fresh air to see that stage of life represented so honestly on the page.
One of the things I loved most was Bea’s writing style. Rather than simply writing about her characters, it feels as though she writes from inside their minds. Every emotion, thought, and reaction feels authentic, making the characters incredibly easy to connect with and understand.
I also really enjoyed the unique spin on vampire lore. The curse added an intriguing layer to the story and made it stand out from the many vampire books I've read before. It felt fresh, original, and completely engaging.
I loved every page of this book and could already see the foundations being laid for future stories. The supporting vampires were just as intriguing, and I’m already looking forward to learning more about them in the next books—if only my brain fog would let me remember all their names! 😆
I always enjoy Bea’s writing, but this felt like something a little different from her usual work, and I absolutely loved it. I’ll definitely be eagerly waiting for the next instalment.
