Before I started writing novels, my comedy play, The Magazine was performed at The Bush Theatre in London, and my poetry has been published in several anthologies. However, I knew what I really wanted to write were novels. With several unfinished manuscripts languishing in the depths of my computer's hard drive, it was my discovery of erotic romance that led me to ponder what my ideal romantic hero looked like. And thus, Nick Frost was born, and the epic love he shares with Mia spanning three books of Frost Trilogy. Then, after being nagged by my readers, of course I had to write Aiden and Jen's love story in the FT spin-off, Torn.
After that I delved into the world of full-on erotica, but, as much as I enjoyed writing it, I knew I wanted to write other genres because, along with my hope that if an afterlife exists I can spend mine in a divine library, I'm also a firm believer in not being pigeon-holed. Which is why I made my first foray into literary fiction with A Person Could Disappear Here, because, for me, writing is all about the characters and their story rather than genre.
My first novels were erotic romances. My men are hot, sexy and bossy and my women strong and sassy and give as good as they get. I absolutely refuse to write weak women because we don't all need to be rescued, but we do all need the love and devotion of a good man. Oh, and plenty of sheet-clawing, body-rocking, mind-altering sex! Despite all the hot sex, my erotic romances are really love stories, jam packed full of emotion because I believe... When it comes to Love and Romance, neither should be anything less than Extraordinary.
For those of you who like your romance to be less explicit, I am intending to publish Romance Only versions of Frost Trilogy and Torn - hopefully later this year.
I've also written some hot erotica that pulls no punches, so be prepared to be aroused. But if you like your erotica with a story and a side helping of emotion, you get that too - along with lots of hot sex.
As English as they come, I believe there's nothing that can't be solved, resolved, overcome or celebrated better than with a nice cup of tea. (preferably with a lovely slice of Victoria sponge cake with real buttercream icing) From Rachmaninov (whose piano concertos I often listen to while writing) to Aerosmith, my taste in music is best described as eclectic. And I make a mean chocolate cake.

Nick Frost is everything I adore in my fictional alphas: warm-hearted, hot-tempered, sexy, devoted, and flawed. I love to be frustrated with him, because he's not a true asshole, just a knucklehead. If you ignore the fact that Nick is 35 years old and remember that this is his first serious romance, his screw-ups makes sense, and it's that combination of experienced ladykiller and bumbling Romeo that makes Nick so endearing. I spent half the book swooning over him and the other half gnashing my teeth.
Mia makes decisions with her head these days since her heart's gotten her in trouble, but she's no match for the Nick Frost Hurricane either. I love that she's a heroine who stands up for herself, but sometimes I want to pull her aside and scold her to give poor Nick a chance.
But then he puts his foot in it and I have to switch sides again.
Jen and Aiden make appearances, as do Martin and a certain blonde, and I love how we're teased with the possible scenarios of where these couples (and their respective "extras") might lead us next!
In Too Deep has everything I loved from Beguiled: steamy sex, jealous angst, dirty secrets, and a whirlwind courtship culminating in - well, I won't say. That would be spoiler-y. Read it yourself.

"Nel profondo" è il secondo volume della "Frost Trilogy", se non avete letto il primo libro, che s'intitola "Incantata", vi sconsiglio la lettura di questo secondo volume. Nick e Mia continuano a coltivare la loro relazione giorno per giorno, ma c'è sempre qualcosa che non va e occasionalmente hanno dei litigi. Mia è disposta a lottare per questo amore nato all'improvviso e difficile da gestire, soprattutto per via di Nick che non le confida quasi nulla, è sempre lei a scoprire e a fargli vuotare il sacco. Tutto precipita quando il passato di entrambi si ripresenta nelle loro vite e iniziano così le gelosie e la mancanza di fiducia e le basi del loro amore iniziano a traballare. Riusciranno i due a solidificare il loro amore e a tener lontani coloro che li vogliono separare?
Il primo volume di questo romanzo mi è piaciuto abbastanza, purtroppo però questo secondo volume l'ho trovato un po' troppo lungo. È condito sempre con scene d'amore, alcune abbastanza passionali, altre un po' meno. In più c'è sempre Nick che non si esprime e nonostante a tratti sia stato inserito il suo pov, non racconta mai il suo passato, a parte piccole rivelazioni che riesce a scoprire Mia. In questo secondo volume ci sono pochi eventi che mi hanno emozionata, ad esempio l'amicizia tra Mia e Jen, una coppia gay molto simpatica, le piccole attenzioni di Nick, che però non sono paragonabili al fatto di raccontarsi tutto. Tuttavia la lettura è scorrevole ed è un romanzo scritto bene. Nonostante Nick non si apra, Mia d'altro canto è un libro aperto, l'opposto del protagonista maschile. Di lei conosciamo tutto e lei gli racconta tante cose e ad un certo punto della storia arriva anche uno sbaglio da parte di lei che non mi aspettavo. Il passato di lui però sembra troppo aggrovigliato e oscuro, mi sarei aspettata che iniziasse a raccontarsi di più in questo secondo libro, ma ci toccherà attendere e scoprire tutto quanto nell'ultimo libro di questa trilogia…

Salve lettrici.
Eccomi qui con una nuova recensione sulla serie “Frost” di Terri George.
Questa volta a farmi compagnia è stato il secondo volume della serie, uscito ad agosto e poi, finita la lettura, proseguirò con il terzo e ultimo volume.
“Nel profondo” continua con la storia di Nick e Mia, una storia passionale e tormentata.
Il loro legame è molto forte e la chimica tra i due è pazzesca, ma a mancare alla coppia è la fiducia reciproca.
Mia non si fida di Nick, non conosce il suo passato e lui sembra non essere intenzionato a vuotare il sacco, infatti soltanto davanti al fatto compiuto fa piccoli passi verso di lei.
Allo stesso tempo però nemmeno lui si fida ciecamente di lei. Non si fida dei suoi sentimenti, soprattutto perché nemmeno lei è così sicura di quello che ha nel cuore.
“Ti perdonerei tutto, eccetto lasciarmi.”
Dunque, che posso dirvi?
Una storia così, senza fiducia, ha tutti i presupposti per affondare, infatti affonda diverse volte.
Se avevo adorato il primo volume perché lo avevo trovato veramente pieno di aspettative, sono rimasta invece delusa da come prosegue la storia.
Questo volume è un continuo di tira e molla, arricchito con lacrime, perdono e tanto, tantissimo sesso.
Praticamente i due non fanno altro che lasciarsi, riprendersi!e darci dentro. È una ruota continua e che non ho gradito affatto.
Avevo altissime aspettative e, per ora, sono rimasta davvero delusa.
Mia non è riuscita a conquistarmi e l’ho trovata davvero lagnosa e immatura. Ogni volta che esce fuori un piccolo dettaglio del passato di Nick, lei fugge e inizia a piangere. Quando invece è lei la pietra dello scandalo, va tutto bene e a Nick non è permesso arrabbiarsi.
Il dolce Nick, invece, che io avevo adorato nel primo volume, si è rivelato quello più maturo dei due, ma anche una persona poco corretta, sempre a nascondere il suo passato.
Dunque la storia è rimasta ferma al primo volume e non mi ha preso per niente. Non ci sono state emozioni forti, né colpi di scena, né dettagli in più. Tutto è rimasto esattamente com’era. L’unica cosa che non manca in questo romanzo sono le scene passionali, che forse sono anche troppe.
Ovviamente io proseguirò con la lettura, sperando di trovare nel terzo libro tutto quello che è mancato in questo secondo volume e sperando di avere finalmente una spiegazione sul comportamento di Nick e sul suo passato.

Every once in a while, an author/book comes along that just grabs you... That is what Terri's books (Frost Trilogy) have done to me - grabbed me and won't let me go. I received an ARC of Book 2 in exchange for an honest review and let me tell you honestly, that I absolutely LOVED it! Nick and Mia's love story is not easy! You are probably going to have dents in your Kindle where you have thrown it and then run to pick it back up to see what happens next. I can promise you without a shadow of a doubt though, that it is all worth it (at least it will be by the end of the trilogy)! Terri does an amazing job of writing characters that you love and relate to, but want to shake the life out of at the same time. She makes you care in a way that you lose yourself in the story and forget that you aren't really there with Nick, Mia, Jen and Aiden (swoon) - and what better gift is there than that from an author to a reader... I highly recommend that you buy this book, and if for some reason you missed "Beguiled", get to reading... You have until April 12th to catch up!

I received this book in return for an honest review. If it were possible I'd give this book 10 stars! After reading the first book in this trilogy I didn't think it could get any better...I was soooo wrong. This book takes it to a whole new level, it hits every emotion possible and will totally blow your mind. About a week or so after finishing the book I found myself going back through it just to be sure I didn't miss anything. I am still trying to wrap my mind around all that takes place and can without a doubt say that you'd have to be crazy not to get and read this book as soon as it's available. Much love and thanks to Terri George for doing such an unbelievable job writing a book that is so completely amazing.

If you read the first book in this trilogy, 'Beguiled', then you know what to expect from Terri George. Like alpha males, strong-willed women, cheeky British dialogue, drama to the extent that you feel like you want to shake some sense into the main characters and hot HOT sex scenes? She's your woman. 'In Too Deep' is a continuation of Nick and Mia's emotional roller coaster of a romance and true to form, Terri doesn't let you off easy at the end. Yes...this is another ending that will leave you wanting more as you prepare for the final book in the series.

Ed eccoci al secondo volume della Frost Trilogy… Avevamo lasciato Nick e Mia in balìa di una attrazione potentissima e selvaggia, che presto, in questo volume, diventa amore, ma… Il passato di entrambi gioca un ruolo fortissimo e davvero nulla potrebbe essere quello che sembra.
Insicuri e confusi, i protagonisti sembra facciano la gara a chi più teme che l’altro possa deludere e ferire, un intreccio di azioni e reazioni a volte folle, a volte disperato, a volte solo stupido… Ma si sa, l’amore non sempre brilla per intelligenza e lungimiranza, e i nostri, qualche volta, avrebbero bisogno di una bella scrollata!
Quel che non manca è il sesso, tanto sesso, fatto a volte con rabbia, possessivo, feroce e bellissimo.
La storia è travagliata e bellissima, un susseguirsi di alti e bassi, errori, segreti svelati, sguardi al passato, passione e gioia, dolore e tormento, fino alla conclusione di questo secondo volume che mi ha fatto quasi urlare frustrata e incapace di gestire psicologicamente la situazione. Un precipizio…
Sapranno rialzarsi? Riusciranno a ricucire le ferite?

This writer can certainly paint a picture. The story continues of Nick and Mia and I was thrilled this book ended up being anything but predictable for their love story. She painted the conflict and angst so well that by the end of the book, your face takes on a permanent scowl. The male romantic hero keeps hiding from her, and you end up siding with the heroine and she continues to battle with his secrets. True, he's afraid of losing her, but in the end, the writer shows the reader that if a relationship can not have the foundation of trust, then there isn't one.
This writer takes an interesting approach as always with her heroine Mia. She's strong and formidable and will not take to being made a fool of. You can truly feel her pain towards the end of the story. She wants to trust him, but if he truly can't trust her with his past, then why bother? Their love is based on more than just sex, you can see it. However, the sex is hot, and Nick Frost knows what he's doing. All that whoring around he did has made him an experienced man.
Overall, great job. Looking forward to the third and final in this trilogy and see how all of this is sorted out. Will the pains of the past continue to haunt them both? Will they have to keep forgiving each other for past wrongs? However, I hope as the third title says, will they succumb to being who they truly are and embrace just "Letting Go."

La lettura di questo romanzo si è rivelata molto impegnativa anche emotivamente e complessa, poiché la trama si arricchisce ed infittisce sempre di più.
Nick e Mia sono ancora insieme, prima tutto era perfetto, o quasi...ma ora si avverte perfettamente che qualcosa tra loro è cambiato, qualcosa si è spezzato, incrinato, ed entrambi, chi in un modo chi in un altro, faticano a rimetterlo a posto. Entrambi hanno commesso delle sciocchezze in passato, un passato che loro hanno vissuto separatamente quando ancora non si conoscevano, e su questo non ci si può metter bocca. I loro sbagli però sono ora, nel presente: continuare a mantenere i propri segreti sarà, a lungo andare, deleterio per entrambi e continuerà a minare la stabilità del loro rapporto. Mia, che chiede continuamente a Nick di aprirsi e di parlare con lei di ciò che lo tormenta, è altrettanto colpevole di tacergli alcuni dettagli sul suo passato che in questo volume ancora non scopriamo ma che mi aspetto verranno a galla nel prossimo, ma soprattutto anche lei nel presente, sembra confusa e non sempre si comporta bene; Nick d’altro canto continua a chiudersi a riccio, a lasciarsi travolgere dalle ombre che lo circondano e spesso ricadendo in vecchi vizi del passato. I demoni di entrambi non sono ancora stati affrontati e sconfitti totalmente e arriverà il momento in cui torneranno a chiedere il conto.

La loro relazione in questo volume, è ancora più tormentata di quello precedente: oscilla fra alti e bassi, fra momenti in cui ad entrambi sembra di essere in paradiso ed altri in cui si sentono cadere nel baratro più buio. Non c’è il buono o il cattivo in questa situazione, o meglio, non c’è un personaggio che eccelle in buona condotta diciamo così: entrambi sono umani, entrambi sbagliano, entrambi sono spesso irrazionali e troppo impulsivi e se questo da un lato rende vivo il loro rapporto, dall’altro lo porta spesso all’esasperazione. In ‘Nel profondo’ iniziano però a venire a galla alcuni aspetti particolari e segreti del passato di Nick, un passato che ora vorrebbe non aver mai vissuto e che lui avrebbe voluto tenere nascosto a Mia perché convinto che lei una volta venutone a conoscenza lo avrebbe lasciato immediatamente. Ma Mia continua a resistere, a lottare per entrambi anche se alcune volte è tentata di abbandonare tutto e scappare per non soffrire più. Nick però, ora che l’ha finalmente trovata, non è intenzionato a lasciarla andare, perché ne sarebbe distrutto, ma non riesce ancora ad aprirsi del tutto. Per lui è troppo difficile.
E se l’amore sembra essere arrivato per entrambi, ormai impossibile da negare, c’è ancora qualcosa che gli impedisce di essere felici e di viversi il loro amore serenamente. Da entrambi le parti quel rapporto sembra mancare di fiducia, che è forse la base più importante da cui partire, e senza quella, dove potrà mai condurli il destino? Riusciranno ad accettare le loro tante differenze e a venire a patti con tutto ciò che li circonda?

Un gemito involontario mi sfugge dalle labbra quando muove i fianchi, premendomi contro la sua erezione. «Così non dimenticherai mai quanto sia bello quando sono dentro di te… Quanto forte io ti faccia godere… E come siamo perfetti. Insieme.»”
Ho trovato il secondo volume di questa trilogia anche più coinvolgente del precedente se possibile, che già avevo amato: è pieno di passione e amore ma anche di colpi di scena, pathos, dramma, rivelazioni sconcertanti ed improvvise che lasciano il lettore con l’attenzione viva e il fiato sospeso per tutta la durata della lettura. Mia è rimasta se stessa, una donna forte e combattiva, ma allo stesso tempo con le sue insicurezze e fragilità; Nick è un uomo maturo, virile e seducente, padrone del proprio corpo ma che con lei perde ogni freno e controllo. Insieme provano delle sensazioni inspiegabili, insieme vivono davvero. Entrambi sono due personaggi ben delineati e al tempo stesso complicati, con mille sfaccettature e difficili da comprendere inizialmente, ma che pagina dopo pagina si iniziano a svelare sempre di più al lettore anche grazie ai POV spesso alternati. E finalmente direi! Nel primo volume avevo tanto desiderato di poter leggere qualche capitolo direttamente dal punto di vista di Nick, e sono stata felicissima di appurare che in questo secondo, ce ne sono molti e alcuni anche molto introspettivi, cosa che ho molto apprezzato perché mi ha permesso di entrare maggiormente in sintonia con il suo personaggio. Inutile dirvi della presenza di infuocate e passionali scene di sesso tra i due, molto dettagliate ed esplicite, perfettamente inserite nella storia e rispecchianti il genere di cui questa fa parte, ma che devo dire non risultano mai esagerate o volgari anche grazie alla bravura dell’autrice che le ha rese penetranti e travolgenti, capaci di avvolgere il lettore ma senza mai eccedere o risultare fuori posto. L’autrice ci ha accompagnato ancora una volta in una lettura entusiasmante dove lo stile fresco e diretto e un linguaggio fluido e senza filtri ha reso il viaggio inebriante e accattivante e dove ha intrecciato perfettamente la componente erotica, quella romantica e quella drammatica creando un mix perfetto. Questo romanzo ci ha dato risposta ad alcuni interrogativi ma molti altri sono rimasti in sospeso ed il finale, ci lascia ben prospettare un terzo volume altrettanto scoppiettante e travolgente. Io non vedo l’ora che esca e aspettando quel momento, vi consiglio la lettura di questi romanzi!

VOTO 4 E MEZZO
Questo secondo capitolo della trilogia Frost, ci apre gli occhi su molte delle domande che ci eravamo poste in INCANTATA.
L'amore che Nick e Mia provano l'uno per l'altra però, sta per essere messo nuovamente a dura prova a causa del loro passato.
Entrambi, infatti, a causa delle loro precedenti esperienze di vita, commettono molti errori e la fiducia viene meno quando le emissioni diventano ostacoli difficili da superare.
In qualsiasi coppia, la cosa più importante per resistere a qualsiasi attrito e all'amore stesso, dovrebbe essere la fiducia reciproca, ma se questa già in partenza viene a mancare, su quali basi si può sperare in un futuro insieme?
Nick ha il TERRORE di perdere Mia.
È convinto che il suo passato, decisamente sopra le righe, una volta venuto alla luce spezzerà del tutto il legame tra lui e la donna che ama perdutamente.
Ci sono omissioni troppo importanti e compromettenti tra il loro rapporto e il suo passato, ma riuscire a tenerlo nascosto a lungo pare impossibile.
Mia ha già avuto un assaggio della persona che Nick è stata, ma pare che ogni giorno qualcosa di nuovo e sconvolgente salti fuori, e questo sembra incrinare sempre più quella poca fiducia che nutre nei suoi confronti.
In più, il suo ex, non fa altro che assillarla nel voler ritornare con lei e Mia vive un profondo momento di dubbio su cosa voler fare e che scelte intraprendere.
Da una parte c'è il profondo sentimento che prova per Nick, ma il fatto che lui non riesca ad aprire il suo cuore e non voglia mai parlare di sè, le danno continua conferma che l'uomo nasconde qualcosa.
Dall'altra c'è l'uomo che ha amato per anni, e che nonostante l'abbia tradita sembra seriamente intenzionato a ricominciare da capo.
Cosa deciderà? L'amore indiscusso per Nick, o la stabilità che le promette il suo ex?
Che grande cosa la fiducia di coppia, ragazze.
Quando c'è, è tutto molto facile.
Non c'è lo stress di pensare ad ogni movimento del nostro compagno o compagna, di cosa stia facendo, perchè e con chi.
È un malessere che non è possibile tollerare a lungo termine, e Mia ha dei seri problemi ad avere fiducia nel suo Nick.
È completamente accecata dai sentimenti e dall'attrazione che prova per quest'uomo bellissimo e imponente, ma ogni volta che qualcosa del suo passato viene a galla è talmente duro da digerire che non si può sempre fare spallucce e perdonare.
Il passato è passato, è vero, ma se quel passato tornasse a diventare il presente?
Se le debolezze di Nick riemergessero da un momento all'altro?
La mente di Mia è assillata da questi dilemmi e oltre a questo, il suo ex è davvero molto bravo nell'insinuare in lei molti dubbi.
Nick invece vive nel terrore costante.
Terrore di perdere l'unica donna che abbia mai amato.
L'unica donna che è stata in grado di dargli serenità ed un equilibrio che non aveva da troppo tempo.
Ma i suoi vecchi vizi e le vecchie tentazioni sono continuamente dietro l'angolo, e ogni volta che Mia tenta di fuggire dal loro rapporto, per Nick diventa tutto troppo complicato e difficile da gestire.
La rabbia, la frustrazione e la continua paura che Mia possa lasciarlo e ritornare tra le braccia dell'ex, lo rendono instabile, e spesso agisce seguendo l'istinto.
Non farebbe mai del male a Mia, ma potrebbe sicuramente farne a sè stesso.
È tutto troppo precario e Nick continua ad agire nel modo sbagliato, soprattutto continuando ad omettere verità che non è pronto ad ammettere e raccontare.
Ho trovato questo libro molto più emozionante rispetto al primo , e i personaggi molto più ben caratterizzati.
I continui colpi di scena, tengono il lettore in costante allerta e questo modus operandi lo trovo davvero molto coinvolgente ed appagante.
Le scene erotiche sono molteplici, ma mai esagerate o inadeguate.
Purtroppo anche questa volta rimaniamo con un finale da cardio palma, dove tutto ancora può accadere e ogni cosa viene rimessa in discussione.
L'autrice è riuscita a catturare nuovamente la mia attenzione e davvero non vedo l'ora di scoprire se Nick e Mia troveranno un po' di pace, e riusciranno finalmente a godersi il profondo sentimento che provano l'uno per l'altro nel terzo capitolo, che speriamo arrivi presto.

Recensione della Queen – E’ uscito ad agosto il secondo volume della Frost Trilogy di Terri George, Nel profondo, edito Quixote Edizioni.
Nick Frost ha un passato oscuro da dimenticare, la vita dissoluta che ha condotto fino all’incontro con Mia torna prepotente a bussare alla sua porta. Gli oscuri segreti che porta dentro di sé, vengono a galla e Mia si trova difronte ad una scelta: accettare il suo passato senza fare domande o scappare il più lontano possibile da lui.
Mia è l’unica cosa per cui combatterò sempre. O per cui supplicherò. E lo avevo fatto. L’avevo implorata di restare, anche se non avevo nessun diritto di chiederglielo. Meritavo il suo giudizio. Ci era già passata con il suo ex, e adesso le stavo chiedendo, la stavo supplicando di credermi, di fidarsi che non ero più quell’uomo. Che non l’avrei ferita come aveva fatto il suo ex.
Nick è un uomo d’affari affermato e insieme al suo migliore amico Aiden è proprietario di diversi locali in città. Il suo patrimonio è alle stelle ma senza la sua unica ragione di vita, Mia, niente ha più senso. E’ abituato a nascondere il suo passato perché fa male ricordare la persona che era un tempo, perso tra i vizi più sfrenati.
Oggi è un uomo completamente diverso, si è messo sulla retta via e prova giorno per giorno a migliorare la sua vita, facendo beneficienza verso il prossimo, ma quando una persona del suo passato riappare all’improvviso, tutto il suo mondo crolla. Il rapporto con Mia che da sempre vive di alti e bassi, ha una rottura improvvisa, Lei sente di non potersi più fidare, e la cosa più facile è scappare da lui.
Quello che però mi aveva colpito era stato quando, al mio tocco, aveva indietreggiato, come se il pensiero delle mie mani su di lei la ripugnasse. Non c’è parola nel vocabolario per descrivere il dolore che avevo provato per il suo rifiuto. Mi aveva fatto a brandelli.
Ma Nick è abituato a ottenere sempre tutto, è autoritario e prepotente e non accetta la sua fuga. Farà di tutto per riconquistare la sua Mia, perché senza di lei ha paura di ricadere nel baratro della sua vita passata. Riusciranno a coesistere due caratteri così diversi uniti da un forte legame e da una passione erotica alle stelle? Purtroppo anche questo secondo volume finisce con un cliffhanger e dobbiamo aspettare l’uscita del capitolo conclusivo per sapere cosa accadrà ai nostri protagonisti
Dopo aver letto il primo capitolo “Incantata” ero rimasta molto colpita dalla scrittura di questa autrice, dritta al cuore e molto scorrevole tanto da leggere 300 pagine in pochissimo tempo. Ma ahimè in questo secondo volume le mie alte aspettative sono state un po’ deluse. Tutto il libro è una ripetizione continua di scene sempre uguali, lui che sbaglia e lei che scappa, senza un inizio né una fine. Nick è un uomo abituato ad avere tutto ciò che desidera, ma non riesce ad aprirsi mai completamente con la sua donna, e questo rende Mia sempre nervosa e gelosa, in attesa che da un momento all’altro esca fuori l’ennesimo segreto non svelato sul suo passato.
Lo stile del libro è scorrevole e fresco, e la sintassi assolutamente impeccabile, l’autrice è molto brava a non far pesare la ripetizione delle scene, usando sempre nuove espressioni per descrivere i personaggi. Il libro è scritto in prima persona da entrambi i punti di vista ed è ambientato nella caotica Londra.
Nel primo volume l’autrice si è dedicata maggiormente alla caratterizzazione dei personaggi, in questo vediamo il loro rapporto rimanere in una posizione di stallo, fermi sempre allo stesso punto senza mai fare un passo avanti. Le scene erotiche che tanto mi erano piaciute nel primo libro in questo sono rimaste pressoché identiche, ogni volta che i due protagonisti discutono poi fanno la pace unendosi in una passione sfrenata.
Molto interessanti sono i personaggi di contorno, Jen la migliore amica di Mia e Aiden il comproprietario del locale, una coppia che promette fuochi e fiamme e spero che venga messa in risalto nel prossimo libro.
Consiglio la lettura di questo libro solamente a chi ha già letto Incantata ed è inevitabilmente curioso di conoscere il seguito.

Recensione della Queen – E’ uscito ad agosto il secondo volume della Frost Trilogy di Terri George, Nel profondo, edito Quixote Edizioni.
Nick Frost ha un passato oscuro da dimenticare, la vita dissoluta che ha condotto fino all’incontro con Mia torna prepotente a bussare alla sua porta. Gli oscuri segreti che porta dentro di sé, vengono a galla e Mia si trova difronte ad una scelta: accettare il suo passato senza fare domande o scappare il più lontano possibile da lui.
Mia è l’unica cosa per cui combatterò sempre. O per cui supplicherò. E lo avevo fatto. L’avevo implorata di restare, anche se non avevo nessun diritto di chiederglielo. Meritavo il suo giudizio. Ci era già passata con il suo ex, e adesso le stavo chiedendo, la stavo supplicando di credermi, di fidarsi che non ero più quell’uomo. Che non l’avrei ferita come aveva fatto il suo ex.
Nick è un uomo d’affari affermato e insieme al suo migliore amico Aiden è proprietario di diversi locali in città. Il suo patrimonio è alle stelle ma senza la sua unica ragione di vita, Mia, niente ha più senso. E’ abituato a nascondere il suo passato perché fa male ricordare la persona che era un tempo, perso tra i vizi più sfrenati.
Oggi è un uomo completamente diverso, si è messo sulla retta via e prova giorno per giorno a migliorare la sua vita, facendo beneficienza verso il prossimo, ma quando una persona del suo passato riappare all’improvviso, tutto il suo mondo crolla. Il rapporto con Mia che da sempre vive di alti e bassi, ha una rottura improvvisa, Lei sente di non potersi più fidare, e la cosa più facile è scappare da lui.
Quello che però mi aveva colpito era stato quando, al mio tocco, aveva indietreggiato, come se il pensiero delle mie mani su di lei la ripugnasse. Non c’è parola nel vocabolario per descrivere il dolore che avevo provato per il suo rifiuto. Mi aveva fatto a brandelli.
Ma Nick è abituato a ottenere sempre tutto, è autoritario e prepotente e non accetta la sua fuga. Farà di tutto per riconquistare la sua Mia, perché senza di lei ha paura di ricadere nel baratro della sua vita passata. Riusciranno a coesistere due caratteri così diversi uniti da un forte legame e da una passione erotica alle stelle? Purtroppo anche questo secondo volume finisce con un cliffhanger e dobbiamo aspettare l’uscita del capitolo conclusivo per sapere cosa accadrà ai nostri protagonisti
Dopo aver letto il primo capitolo “Incantata” ero rimasta molto colpita dalla scrittura di questa autrice, dritta al cuore e molto scorrevole tanto da leggere 300 pagine in pochissimo tempo. Ma ahimè in questo secondo volume le mie alte aspettative sono state un po’ deluse. Tutto il libro è una ripetizione continua di scene sempre uguali, lui che sbaglia e lei che scappa, senza un inizio né una fine. Nick è un uomo abituato ad avere tutto ciò che desidera, ma non riesce ad aprirsi mai completamente con la sua donna, e questo rende Mia sempre nervosa e gelosa, in attesa che da un momento all’altro esca fuori l’ennesimo segreto non svelato sul suo passato.
Lo stile del libro è scorrevole e fresco, e la sintassi assolutamente impeccabile, l’autrice è molto brava a non far pesare la ripetizione delle scene, usando sempre nuove espressioni per descrivere i personaggi. Il libro è scritto in prima persona da entrambi i punti di vista ed è ambientato nella caotica Londra.
Nel primo volume l’autrice si è dedicata maggiormente alla caratterizzazione dei personaggi, in questo vediamo il loro rapporto rimanere in una posizione di stallo, fermi sempre allo stesso punto senza mai fare un passo avanti. Le scene erotiche che tanto mi erano piaciute nel primo libro in questo sono rimaste pressoché identiche, ogni volta che i due protagonisti discutono poi fanno la pace unendosi in una passione sfrenata.

Li avevamo lasciati con un finale tutto da scoprire. Nick e Mia, due protagonisti che ci hanno fatto innamorare nel primo libro, "Incantata", e che in questo vedremo alle prese con nuovi litigi e con una vita di coppia interamente da scoprire!
La loro storia è tutta da raccontare, quando si pensa di essere arrivati ad un punto finale, e che dopo l'ultimo litigio si è più forti di prima, ci si rende conto che è solo la punta dell'iceberg.
Entrambi i protagonisti sono passionali, in un libro senza mezze misure.
Non riuscirete a disintossicarvi da Nick Frost e dalla sua personalità se amate l'uomo alfa, prepotente e allo stesso tempo geloso della sua donna e amorevole.
Un uomo che ha un passato ancora da scoprire, di cui sappiamo poco o nulla, che ci ammalia e incuriosisce con i modi (da uomo delle caverne, a volte) che usa con la sua donna.
Un sentimento forte che esce fuori per tutto il libro: la consapevolezza non solo di averla, ma di aver bisogno di lei. In questo libro verrà fuori il tormento interiore e se il lettore è ben attento riuscirà a coglierlo e farne tesoro. Da parte di Mia invece, abbiamo una risoluta conferma: non le importa del passato ed è il futuro quello che conta. Fa tesoro dei suoi errori ed è sempre disposta a perdonare.
Il problema di questo romanzo è che, per quanto lo aspettassi, non mi ha rapito come credevo.
Le giornate sono scandite lentamente, e questo era accaduto anche nel primo, con una routine quotidiana che si ripete e dilata i tempi, a volte, però, a mio parere troppo lenti.
La scrittura di Terri George è amata per il suo lato erotico, ma anche qui, in questo libro, rispetto al precedente, ho trovato fossero troppe le scene di sesso. Okay la passione, e d'accordo che con un protagonista come Nick vogliamo surriscaldarci.. ma sono state ripetitive e mi sono arrivate come a voler riempire i vuoti di un libro sotto le righe.
La perenne indecisione di Mia non mi ha affatto aiutata a far scorrere le pagine, anzi. Anche questo suo modo di non accettare i nuovi sentimenti e fare scelte azzardate (e molto discutibili) mi hanno fatto ricredere su una protagonista che in "Incantata" mi era, invece, piaciuta. Neanche Nick in questo libro mi è piaciuto, ahimè; il tira e molla, le litigate futili e le descrizioni delle ambientazioni quasi assenti, hanno reso la lettura una spiacevole sorpresa. Aspettavo da qualche mese (dall'uscita di "Incantata") questo secondo volume, ma sono rimasta profondamente delusa. Non so se il fattore principale per cui il libro non mi abbia convinta del tutto sia perché ormai sono satura di storie come questa. In fin dei conti, se siete amanti del genere, come me, ne avrete lette a centinaia, per cui forse se lo avessi letto qualche anno fa, e ribadisco il "forse", lo avrei valutato in modo differente. Purtroppo, ad oggi, non mi ha convinta, proprio perché l'ho trovato ripetitivo e superficiale. Entrambi i protagonisti che nel primo volume comunque mi erano piaciuti in questo mi hanno innervosita. Le descrizioni e l'attrazione sessuale sono stati a livelli minimi. Non voglio bocciare del tutto il libro e credo, comunque, che il terzo lo leggerò per dare un'altra opportunità alla scrittura dell'autrice. Se amate il genere erotic romance o se ancora non l'avete mai letto, date una chance a questa serie e, magari, se non siete abituati a leggere pagine ogni giorno dello stesso genere, lo troverete passionale e vi innamorerete del classico maschio alfa che piace sempre. Questo è un parere personale e non di un'esperta del settore, quindi vi chiedo di non basarvi solo sul mio giudizio, ma di dare comunque una chance alla serie e di farmi sapere cosa ne pensate!

La storia è un susseguirsi di vicende che girano attorno ai due amanti. La scrittrice con il suo modo di raccontare molto scorrevole e dinamico ci porta nella sua dimensione fatta di tormento e passione. Descrive con accortezza il loro rapporto, che si evolve e arretra nello stesso tempo a causa di segreti nascosti, bugie e omissioni da parte di entrambi. Tutti questi errori saranno un bene prima o poi?. Non vedo l 'ora di scoprire il seguito perché anche stavolta il finale mi ha lasciato l'amaro in bocca!

4 stelle - Questo secondo capitolo mi è piaciuto più del primo. Iniziamo a conoscere meglio i personaggi, soprattutto Nick che ci svela pian piano macchie del suo passato. Leggiamo di un uomo diverso dal primo libro. Un uomo più fragile, che si lascia trasportare dalle situazioni, che appena qualcosa va storto esce fuori di testa. Un uomo dalle mille sfaccettature e insicurezze che albergano la sua mente e il suo cuore tra l'unica certezza della sua vita, la sua donna.
Anche Mia non scherza perché i suoi sentimenti verranno messi in dubbio dal suo passato , un passato che le piomba addosso come un treno pronto a riportarla con sé. Cosa è meglio per lei? Nick può essere l'uomo della sua vita?.

This review is for the entire Frost Trilogy. I own the first two books. The third book was given to me by the author, in exchange for an honest review.
Nick was a man adrift when he met Mia for the first time. At thirty-five years of age, he had spent his entire existence making all the money he could in order to fill his life. He also played hard -wine, women, and drugs providing a temporary oblivion to the emptiness of his life.
At twenty-five, Mia was just starting to assert herself and build a life. After a harrowing breakup with her college boyfriend, she realizes she needs to make up for the five years she lost in a bad relationship and protect her heart.
Our author has created an erotic love affair that will sweep your hearts away. Chemistry does not even begin to describe the attraction between these lovers. For Nick, meeting Mia is like meeting his fate or finding the missing piece of the puzzle that is his life. He has many secrets he will not share with anyone. This is his burden. He also recognizes that Mia will not linger around with him unless full honesty is part of the foundation of their relationship. But, can he gamble telling her his secrets? What if she leaves him - can he survive?
Mia also has a past she would rather bury and forget. Growing up with a greedy and unattentive mother, losing her father, and now the final blow of her break up with her boyfriend, she is not eager to share her innermost secrets with Nick No matter how much she tries to resist him, she is unable to keep her heart from falling for him.
Throughout the trilogy, we get to experience how their relationship and trust builds, is torn down, is rebuilt, only to be torn down again. Their ups and downs, fighting, and the obstacles that life throws their way provide challenges these two lovers must navigate through. Their love is tested and in the end... Well, I will leave you to find out for yourselves what the ultimate outcome turns our to be. All is not assured. Just when they thought they had made it, the past comes back to haunt them.

This is the second book in the Frost Trilogy, and we find Mia and Nick where we left them at the end of book one.
With this book I sensed mixed feelings: happiness as Mia and Nick’s relationship is growing, and disappointment because of their secrets and inability to trust each other.
Nick is a real alpha, good at his job and in the bedroom. The scenes of sex are hot, very hot and so well depicted they always feels natural and spontaneous to me. Under the layers of toughness there is the real Nick, sweet and caring. Keeping his secrets is a way to protect himself. I hoped his secrets to be told at any page, but… nothing! This is what kept me glued to the book.
Mia is a character I love so much for her being “true”, and far from being perfect. She is not weak, even if she knows that Nick is keeping secrets form her and doesn’t trust her to tell them, she never gave up on their relationship, trying to find a way to reach out to his heart.
But if trust could not be taken in the equation of a relationship this could be the end of it.
In Too Deep it’s no doubt a good romance, but I appreciate it more for some elements that makes it a “true life story”: nothing is perfect, Mia and Nick have ups and downs like a real couple. They have sugar moments (and some very hot!) but at the same time they have to fight obstacles to find their happy ending. Their love is tested and challenged.
The book ending is another one that left me suspended and eager for the next book.
This time, my dear author, I hated you less knowing that in next book I will finally find what I'm looking for!

Beguiled, book one in Terri George’s Frost Trilogy, introduced readers to Nick Frost, the sexy alpha who was completely enchanted by the much younger Mia James. In Too Deep continues their story picking up where Beguiled left off. In Too Deep is book two in the series. I’ve read all three books and if I were picking favorites, it would be this one, mainly because of the deep connection between Nick and Mia as their love grew deeper.
Seduced by a life of drugs and money, before Mia, Nick spent years living a life full of meaningless sex and empty one-night stands. But that was then. Now that he’s found Mia Nick can’t imagine living without her. “A day without her in it? Christ I don’t ever want to know what that’s like.” Too bad he refuses to come clean about everything he’s keeping from Mia.
Mia forgave Nick for the mistakes he’d admitted to in Beguiled, but as it turns out Nick wasn’t just sleeping his way through London’s female population. His past is much darker than that...but you’ll have to read the book for yourself to find out what other secrets he’s hiding. Will their budding love survive Nick’s past? Or will his inability to be completely honest with the woman he loves destroy them both?

OMG why did I wait so long to read this book. I really enjoyed book one in the Frost Trilogy, but I had a long time between Beguiled and In Too Deep so I struggled a bit in the beginning to remember the storyline and main characters, but soon enough the disturbing and incredibly hot love life between Nick Frost and Mia James.
Ms George has once again pulled out an amazing story with 2 main characters that share so much chemistry, yet find themselves torn apart by their own history's... Just as they have a happy moment they seem to move 2 steps back. Nick's past is colourful at best, and seeing it with everything he does pulls Mia down. Her own history puts Nick on edge, Martin cannot seem to get through his head that Mia no longer wants him, but sometimes actions speak louder than words.
I think someone grabbed my heart and squeezed right the way through this book, I smiled, laughed, wanted to cry and was angry... so many emotions, for such a great story, I now ready to one-click the final Frost Trilogy book, gotta know if there will ever be the happy ever after for Nick and Mia. ( secretly I hope so, I'm gonna be pissed otherwise).

In Too Deep is book two in The Frost Trilogy The author picks up right where book one left off. In Too Deep takes you on a roller coaster as well as an emotion ride was well. Nick and Mia's ups and downs mimic that of an actual couple. There are good times and bad times. There are moments that have the reader laughing and even moments of heartbreak. The chemistry between Mia and Nick is undeniable. The author does an amazing job in bringing their love story to life. But just like any great love story, they will have their challenges that will ultimately test the strength of their love. In Too Deep is a page turner that you will not want to put down. Can’t wait to see what happens in the final book.

I have been captivated by my favorite new couple, Mia & Nick. I found Terri George by accident and I am so hooked on her books. The Frost Trilogy is a rollercoaster, amazing ride I never went to get off of. I don't even know why there aren't more reviews because this couple is fantastic and addicting. I don't know how I will wait for the third installment, but somehow, I will. Terri George, you have created a SUPER couple that everyone must read. I am your best fan. Thank you.

This is the second book in the Frost Trilogy. Just when you think Nick and Mia have it together the roller coaster rides begins again. You will pull for them to be able to work things out but NO Nick can't seem to be honest with Mia. Mia has her own secrets that keep coming out that pulls them a part. Will they come together and be able to find their happily ever after or are they doomed to fail?

What a story! I have bitten all of my nails just waiting on tenterhooks to see if Mia and Nick actually stay together or not! The rollercoaster ride of emotions the couple go through in this book kept me firmly planted on the edge of my seat!
The entire story follows Nick and Mia as they go through trust issues, lies and a past Nick doesn't seem too willing to share with Mia!

So good I kept reading straight through to book 3 that's how sucked in I was. The beginning of this book had me so sad and mad at Nick but finding out what he been through that mad feeling was thrown out the window. Keep reading to book 3 you won't be disappointed. I can't wait to read more books by Terri George.
