My Someday is book 3 and the final installment of the Just One of the Guys series. Old Enough to Love and Finally...One Summer are the first two books in the series.

Four and half years ago, after capturing her heart and her virginity, Zach Owens walked away from Emma Hendrick leaving her in the small town he hated and with a guy he hated even more.

Emma has tried hard to survive her shattered heart, the bitter betrayal of Zach leaving, and she finally turned to the one person who had always been there for her, Austin Falsone. But one little text to her brother from Zach reading “how is she” was all it took. Now, she wondered about their time apart. Was she the 'she' in that text? He was the one who had left her almost five years ago!

Then after coming home from college and a chance meeting...one look into Zach's mother’s sad eyes sends Emma on a rollercoaster journey to find Zach. So, Emma leaves her safe little world and heads to California to find out what has kept Zach away from his parents…and truth be told, to see him for herself…to see the man who stole her heart so long ago.

Zach—a man who left her, breaking his own heart four years ago…what has the time apart brought him?
Austin—a man who has been there loving her unconditionally while Zach wasn’t…

Will Emma find what she is looking for in California? Will she return Zach to his family? Will Austin prevent that from happening? Will Austin or Zach be her someday…her forever…

HI! The Just One of the Guys series was my first writing experience. I love writing romance. I struggle writing sex… But usually like the end product. I think…

I work part-time as a probation officer for juveniles. But i spend the majority of my time with two of the most freakishly awesome boys ever...MY two sons!

I am a huge Kansas Jayhawk fan, Oregon Duck fan and Chicago Cubs! I'm deliciously addicted to music...Love all kinds! Dr. Pepper is a close second in my addictions.

Life is taken way to seriously by most...i say enjoy every moment, have a drink and READ!

A well deserved 5 stars!

He swaggered toward me and my heart's rhythm was out of whack. He brushed a kiss over my lips then whispered in my ear, "Truth or dare?"

"Baby, I'll take your morning breath a million mornings versus some other girl's minty fresh breath even once."

"She still fit perfectly into my arms and against my chest. No one had occupied this territory in all these years."

MY FIRST IMPRESSION
OMG!! I couldn’t put this down!

WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT
This is the last installment of Just One of the Guys series, which takes place 4 years after Finally...One Summer ended. It has adult content that is definitely for 18 and over. Emma is a college junior almost 21 and Zach is 24 living in California. Emma accidentally bumps into Zach’s mom and there she finds out that he isn't doing well and this led her to pay him a visit for his mom, or so she thought. Her visit precipitates events that led for both of them to figure out of what they really want to be to each other. It involves flash back, magic ball 8, surfing (not the internet kind), game show, handcuffs (yup, you read it right), auction (keep it coming!) and some hot loooovvvinnnggg (oh yeah!). There are some new characters introduced in the story.

WHAT I LOVE ABOUT IT
The last book left me so heartbroken for Emma that left me feeling down after reading it, but with this story invoked feelings that involved grinning, an internal happy dance and air fist pump. It made me fall in love all over again with a sexier and hotter Zach but a broken man who was trying to get by every day because he didn’t have what he wanted the most - Emma. Emma’s visit was the catalyst of Zach’s rediscovery of the true depth of his love for her and how he had come out of his own personal hell. The struggles he endured to move on with his life without her, and how he couldn't seem to reconcile his decision and the outcome of what he had done to protect Emma was what made me fell in love with Zach *sigh*.

While Emma picked up the pieces and moved on which I really applauded the author in doing this as some novels where the heroine just sit and wait for her ex to come back to her, oh no not Emma. She went and experienced – LIFE. I loved Emma as she became a strong and confident woman but at the same time she was vulnerable as she can’t seem to let go of her What-could-have-been.

Austin had bid his time for Emma to grow up before he seriously made a move on her. I had a hard time liking him from the first two books because I thought he took advantage of their friendship but in this story he kind of redeemed himself. He loved Emma in his own way that made him look selfish but really he just wanted her all to himself. He made a huge sacrifice and in the end this made him a better man. It made me slightly wavered in his favour but I’m team Zach all the way!

This was a very well written book it didn’t leave me bored, skimming through pages, or stop/start through the whole time. I was on a full throttle reading that left me with eye bags just to finish as much as I can and at the same time wanted to savour each and every chapter!

FINAL THOUGHTS
I’m just sooooo happy with the outcome of the story and I thoroughly enjoyed it even though it’s shorter than the others. I’m just glad that I picked and read the first book that led me to know and love Emma, Zach and Austin. I can’t wait for what will Kristi Pelton would write next as I sure know it will be a delightful story like this one.

RECOMMEND IT?
Resounding yes!

I started this series yesterday and it was so good, I immediately bought all 3 books and could not put them down. I didn't even want to go to sleep because I had to finish this and see what happened! I love these characters and the story is incredible. This is one of the best book series I have ever read. My heart has been so torn for Emma although I am so happy with her final choice. I really hope that there is a follow-up book for This was so beautifully written and is so fantastic. I loved it! Highly recommend!!!

I was left smiling by My Someday. Where to begin? This book had the HEA I was looking for, although it left one of the characters so heartbroken, I could feel his pain!! (wish he gets a book) But the closure between him and Emma was perfect. I also didn't expect the flashbacks during the 4 1/2 gap from where they left off, which is a huge plus. It wouldn't leave readers hanging on what happened to Emma between that time. After reading, I now fully understand why Zach needed to leave Emma. She was still new to being a woman and having attention from different guys, when he left. (Thus her cheating in book 2) He needed her to let that out of her system, experience dating, and know IF she'd realize who she should be with. You'll have to read and find out! Austin was very loving in a creepy-sweet way. He really was generous when it came to Emma, not only with money. ;)

Overall, I am completely satisfied with Emma's HAE!! I fell in love with all of the new characters, seeing them from Emma's and Zach's POV.

I am having trouble coming up with the right words to explain what this series means to me. It was a very emotional, down to earth, and realistic series that I could relate to. It wasn't some rich millionaire coming in and swooping the poor girl off her feet type of book like so many others are. It was real everyday life situations that happen to people everyday. One minute I am happy the next I am crying and the next I am mad ad hell. But in the end it was a well written series by an amazing author!! Great job Kristi Pelton and keep writing and I'll keep reading <3

I was lucky to be an early reader of this book from the author, Kristi Pelton.
This is the conclusion of Emma's story.
We first met her at age 15 back in the the first book, Old Enough to Love...(Just One of the Guys), her story continued in, Finally...One Summer(Just One of the Guys. Now, My Someday... tells the story four years later. Emma is now 20, living in Eugene, about to start her final year of college. Her brother, Ryan is in the NFL draft. They are at the draft when Emma sees a text for Ryan from Zach. Her heart is shaken and she is taken back to the feelings she has tried to get over. Heartache and now questions concerning Zach overwhelm Emma. Emma runs into Zach's mom a few days later at the grocery store. She finds out that Zach does not come home anymore, and is not doing well in CA. She can see how this is hurting Zach's mom. Emma decides to make a road trip to Newport Beach to get her questions answered.
The story is well written. The main and secondary characters are developed and make the story believable. We are there with Emma as she encounters Zach and his current situation. We experience the intensity, heartache, laughter, and pain. Their emotions range from fear to love. Both Emma and Zach have been through a lot over the four years since they last saw one another.
They have to get through the pain of their past and figure out how, or if, they can move forward.
Austin Falsone has graduated from Harvard Law School. Zach does not know what part of Emma's life he still has a role in.
Zach's roommates, Sam and Dylan, have been there for him since they first met at USC. They are protective of him when Emma shows up.
Sam is a great character in this book. I think she needs her own story. *wink wink*
Through the series, Emma grows up and her choices are now of a mature woman. I liked watching her grow.
The epilogue is a great finish to this book.
I've enjoyed the three books, and I highly recommend this series.
There are more mature scenes in this book than the previous two. Rightly so, they are older. Click away.

**5-ZACHARY-STARS**
My Someday is the third book and final book if Just One Of The Guys, the story pulled off four years after book two.
*
*
*sigh *
I really don't know where to start but maybe saying Kristi did it again is in order!
She sucked me into Zach and Emma's story again and well with a little dash of Austin.
This book is so well written and full of emotion, it made me fall in love even more on Zach and well, made me respect Austin too.
I love the ending, I am a sucker of HEA and good Epilogue!
I have a lot of Zachary lines that I love in this book!

"Sam. I love her. I've loved her since I met her. I knew then she was the one for me but she was so young. You don't know the before me. I'm not without her. She's my past, my right now
and my future "

" You gave me hope just then. I'm holding on that. To you. I need you too Rm. You're my happy. You're my air. You're my all in. You're my everything.

"I'm buzzed. I'm so damn excited to touch you... to be with you that I don't know what to do. I want to kiss you, taste you, play with you, hold you, love you... before I lose you"
le sigh
I think I will end this review with a wish, I have two little beautiful girls that few years from now will fall in love and I pray that when that time comes they could find their Zach or Austin because every girl deserves to be loved like how Zach loves Emma.

I had a dilemna. I wanted to read My Someday...& find out if Emma chooses Zach, her first love, or Austin, her more mature love... But then I would be finished with the Just One Of The Guys series, & have nothing to look forward to. I chose to read. WOW! This book is the most amazing one yet! Steaming hot action, & sweet romantic gestures. I even relived a bit of my high school years as well. Great job again, Kristi Pelton! Anxiously waiting for your next series!

Best series ever! This was the perfect ending to the perfect series. I was so in love with Zack that it couldn't have ended better for me. Austin was cool, but Zach was awesome!! I guess this means that Austin might get his own book? And I really would like to know what happens to Grant, and Josh, and Con, and Ryan, and Seth...maybe Dylan and Samantha!!! Keep writing Kristi Pelton, because I don't know what to read now!

2.5 Stars

Well… that was a disappointment. As much as I wanted to like this third and final book of the series, I just didn’t. Actually, to be fair, up until the last quarter of the book I was thinking this was a 3 Star read, but then things happened - ridiculous drama, too many cheesy moments, and a bizarre ending - so a generous 2.5 it is!

Thumbs UP

The angst between Zach and Emma was resolved fairly quickly, and when potentially hurtful discussions took place, they each took the mature road and got over it with little drama.

I enjoyed the grown-up versions of both Emma and Zach. Zach was more dominating and possessive of Emma, while Emma was more confident and took longer to cry than ever before!

There was some unexpected drama that added entertainment to the story, which I liked because I didn’t see it coming.

Sam and the Doc were fun! I would love to have read a story about those two.

Thumbs DOWN

Emma struck again with her cheating and lying! And once again I’m left thinking, what the hell is so good about Emma anyway? I didn’t care for her as a heroine.

Zach’s sexual history was just not believable to me.

The decision Emma made regarding Sophia pissed me off. She obviously didn’t learn from her past with Paul, that sometimes people need to be punished to learn a lesson!

I just didn’t really buy into their relationship in the end. Emma had issues letting go of things, and she often made Zach confess to things she knew would hurt her. She was very self-destructive. Zach basically begged Emma to take him back, never leave, love him forever, blah blah… It was unhealthy the way he quickly latched on to her. Also the way he was living without her was really awful. He needed a therapist or something, because he relied way too much on Emma for his happiness. There was very little serenity for these two. Their special moments were either ruined by other people or themselves, so I feel like I never really had time to fall in love with them by the end.

Austin’s random POV’s were just that – random. They felt out of place. Was this series a love story about Emma and Zach or Emma, Zach and Austin?! It took away from the stories main couple and I didn’t like it. Also, what the fuck kind of ending was that? I could look past it if there was another book in the series about Austin, but there isn’t. So basically I’ve been left scratching my head, and on a bit of a downer. It was yet another thing that irked me about this series.

Final Thoughts

I don’t regret reading this series, because there were things about it I liked. But overall I don’t think this series was for me. I don’t have a lot of patience for such doormat, spinner, heroines and I’m still not sure I liked Zach as much as I did Austin. Oh well, I’m glad I tried, and I’m hopeful the next book I read by this author will be more successful for me.

**Love the new cover, Kristi!!**

The third book in the, Just One of the Guys series, My Someday, starts off almost 5 years after the second book ends. At first, I have to admit, I was disappointed. I wanted to know what happened in the missing years but, I shouldn't have worried. Kristi Pelton is an awesome author and the book unfolded exactly as it should've, perfectly.

Zach did not handle the years well and he just about broke my heart in this one. Wallowing in despair without Emma, he lets his anger control him way too much and, instead of contacting her, he lets her be, thinking he's doing what's best for her. Emma, thinking that he just doesn't want her, secretly pines for him but won't hurt Austin by admitting it. When she sees a text from Zach on her brother's phone asking if she's ok, she can only assume that the she in question, is herself. Running into his mom in the store is the second sign that maybe she shouldn't assume anything and find out what's going on with Zach in person.

Terrific ending to an awesome series, this book wrapped everything up in a nice, sweet, satisfying bow.

Thanks for an amazing series, Kristi!

What a fantastic series!! My mostly memorable read for 2014 and I'm 100% certain that I will read everything this amazing author will share with us. After reading more than one thousand pages, I'm completely committed to these characters and pray that this extremely talented author will bless us with more. I want more of Zach and Emma and their journey together, as well as, Ryan, Austin, Grant, and now Sam and Gabe. I wish this book would have been as long as the two previous books just so we could have experienced more of the four years that Zach and Emma were separated. I love them together so I want to be able to watch their HEA unfold. Them loving each other, getting married, having children, and meeting up with the other characters and their families on the beach. Watching their kids become best friends and growing up together with the rollercoaster of life, love and friendship sprinkled in. So much potential for many more phenomenal books and the ground work is extraordinary!!!

YES! YES! YES!.....This book was EVERYTHING I wanted it to be. I waited a LONG time for this to come out & was VERY excited to see it back out. I bought the book today & finished it today, I wasn't expecting that but I couldn't stop reading. It was short & sweet & kinda straight to the point but of course with a filled with twists & turns. I proudly finished this book in one day something I haven't done in AGES!!!! I LOVED this book from beginning to end. I LOVE happily ever afters & this book gave me just that. This story had me smiling through almost every page. I hated to see the series end but it ended on a good note. DEFINITELY worth the money & time. A MUST READ!!!!!

This book had had been in floods of tears. From the very beginning I have wanted these books to end a certain way, and thankfully I was not disappointed. Everyone who knows me will know my ultimate 'book boyfriend' is Zach. He stays through thick and thin and when he can't possibly cope any longer, he's still there in spirit. I love this trilogy, and I'd happy go on and on about it, but I'll give the game away if I do, and I want you to read it for yourself. You will not be disappointed I promise

I read this trilogy back to back because I was in the mood for some teenage angst, and let me tell you.......this series has it in spades :D
I wanted to throttle Emma many many times but I just had to remind myself that she is just a teenager, and we all know that teens make some real idiotic decisions; having said that, I still loved everything about this series!!!!!
Now I just need to know if Austin is getting a book?
Ms. Pelton, can you PLEASE write a book about Austin?!!!!!!! I NEED a book about him :D

Loved this series. Such great characters that Kristi Pelton created. Emma, Zachary and Austin were a great triangle and I have to say I really liked both guys and think the book ended with the right guy! I am heartbroken for the other though and hope the author expand this series further. This one is on my re-read list already!!

Really stretched the imagination gage far and wide. Funny at times, sexy and thoroughly angsty and immature in this fiction-filled contemporary romance series. If you're looking for a quick sizzling NA series, you'll find it here.

Although this isn't my favorite, I've read other books by Kristi Pelton that show more depth in her writing. And I will continue to keep my eye on her releases.

The third and final installment, it's 4 1/2 years later and Emma is in college and on her way home when she runs into Zach's mother. She finds out he has not been in touch and she decides that right then and there that she needs to see him.

After she has a rocky first connection with him (he is using drugs, drinking, and hanging out at a bar), she reminisces about her time spent with her older, rich brother's friend Austin, and how he was the one guy that Zach didn't want her to see seriously. But let's face it, after he walked away from her, he let her go and she was now free to date who she wanted. We learn that Austin gave her a year to date and he was behind setting up the guys that she dated without her knowing it. He paid $3,000-$4,000 to each guy to date her but not have any physical connections to her. After she finds this out, she breaks it off with Austin. While her curiosity has always been there for him, her heart laid with Zach.

Emma and Zach get back together after overcoming Sophia's attempt to break them up (some bar slut that swallows is what she truly was). Over all, I truly enjoyed this weekend reading this series. Definitely a favorite. It had young love, lots of drama and great excitement. 4 stars!

oooow I had to push it to a four star purely for the last chapter... This book was somewhat different to the others. Emma matured as did the plot. There was less indecisiveness and more certainty. Zach got a bit of gumption back and oomph and Austin ... well - Team Austin over here, that's for sure.

Emma goes to visit Zach in California and finds him in a morose state. As she walks back into his life, his light switches on and it all pans out ok. However we hear the story of Emma and Austin through her memories. We get a little of Zach, Austin and Emma's POVs and it's a good to get all the sides of the story.

A good read- not as many twists and turns but an easy, sit back and enjoy type of read. :)

I feel sorry for Austin in this book. I get where he's coming from, I also understand where Emma's anger is, but her maturity is lacking in this book. Relationships thrive on communication and that's one flaw that Emma constantly has. Again, if this book wasn't meant for YA readers the author might have developed the characters a little more and done something about it.
Yes, I know Zach is the male hero here and yes they fell in love 5 years ago and he left, came back, left again, led Emma on.. seriously, does this even happen?
I would have liked to see the Austin/Emma relationship played out a little bit more before going back to Zach, but it is what it is.

It was a good read. Kept me on my toes. And still, at the end of the day Austin is sad and that makes me sad :(

Loved the books

I was unsure when reading the description if I would like reading a book about a 16 year old. I thought it would be too juvenile and yes some parts were but the overall story was great. I loved all of the characters and was actually torn between Zach and Austin, I liked them both. I hope there is a future book in the future about Austin because he deserves an HEA.
