I received an ARC from the author and here is my honest review

Rhythm of Blood is the second and final book in the City of Blood duology, and it did not disappoint. Picking up right where book one ended, the tension never lets up.

While Bash and Elina are still an important part of the story, this installment shifts its focus to Jack and Katie, and I really enjoyed getting to know them better. The city is on edge, with everyone sensing that something big is coming. Rumors of rebellion spread as the vampires fight to maintain control while the humans push for change. As tensions continue to rise and negotiations begin to fail, the story builds toward an inevitable clash.

I loved how this book explored themes of love, loyalty, and sacrifice against the backdrop of a looming war. The action, suspense, and emotional moments kept me invested from beginning to end.

I do have mixed feelings about the ending. It felt like there was still more story to tell, and I could definitely see the potential for a spin-off. Maybe that's just wishful thinking because I wasn't quite ready to leave this world.

Rhythm of Blood is the exciting book 2 in this City of Blood Series. The story dives deeper into the dark, vampire-filled supernatural world that was in the first book while delivering more action, intrigue, and emotional depth.

The characters relationships are filled with passion, loyalty, and difficult choices, making every victory and setback feel meaningful. It kept me on the edge of my seat with angst and frustration at times. I totally fell in love with Jack’s nickname for Katie, which was Peach.
There is danger, sacrifice, banter, war and lust that surrounds this story. There is political tension, enemies and twists that makes this story hard to put down.

Fans of dark fantasy romance will appreciate the blend of suspense, emotional roller coaster and steamy romance.
If you enjoyed Blood Ties then Rhythm of Blood is a must to sink your fangs into.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5

I absolutely loved *Rhythm of Blood*! This book pulled me in so quickly, and I found myself thinking about the story even when I wasn't reading. I really connected with the characters and loved watching everything unfold between them. The chemistry was so good, and there were plenty of moments that had me completely invested and desperate to know what was going to happen next.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the way Fox Kelly brought the story to life. It was such an addictive read, and I honestly didn't want to put it down. The perfect mix of story, tension, emotion and spice for me!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
If you're a vampire enthusiast, I'd definitely recommend giving this one a try.
The character dynamics were my favorite part of the story. They kept me invested from beginning to end, and I genuinely cared about how everything would play out.
The only reason this wasn't a five-star read for me comes down to personal preference. One of the main sources of conflict relied on a trope that isn't usually my favorite. It worked for the story, but it wasn't something I personally connected with as much.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to readers who enjoy vampire romance with strong character relationships.

This is book 2 in a series I have really enjoyed. A big Thank You to Ms. Fox Kelly for the ARC copy. The story of Jack and Katie is sexy, sweet and also very aggravating. I truly understand the problems both went through but people unwilling to communicate frustrate me personally & aggravate me while reading. The demise of Villa De Sang was very sad in that so many died but that is typical of any war. I am excited to see what the future hold for a main characters & look forward to more in the series

I was lucky enough to receive Rhythm of Blood as an ARC & I really enjoyed this book. The world building is great! Set in vampire-controlled version of New Orleans, Jack & Katie’s story has some twists & turns (like that twist for Chp 31!), with a burning romance. And an awesome epilogue to boot!
