I've read all of the Stackhouse books - about the rise and rise of Andy Stackhouse, a woman who joined the police in Roanoke, Virginia at a later age than most, was underestimated by everyone at first, but her colleagues soon learned to respect her - except a certain Chief whose efforts to undermine and, ultimately get rid of her are constantly thwarted. This is a brilliant series of books by an author who has a particular style of writing thats action packed, intriguing, exciting and often quirky, to the point of making me laugh. If you also read his MacKenzie August and Manny Martinez series, which are interlinked at a later stage of And Stackhouse's career, you'll know where she ends up, but don't let that put you off - all of Alan Lee's books are unmissable reading for me. Do yourself a favour and read these books!

Love This Series

I love these books and all the books about these characters. The writing is smart and funny. The family relationships are warm and fuzzy. Never a boring moment in any of Alan Lee’s books! Keep them coming, please!!!
