Rate this book
One-time street urchin and feisty Ellanoi firemage, Silke, has kick-started her new career as private investigator by landing a plum job. She's got to find out who is threatening to bump off Veelya, Princess of Elginagen.

In the course of her investigations, Silke meets Lucius Stone, a telepath with a talent for harnessing ice power--and for winding Silke up. Stone has been employed by Veelya's brother, Prince Vyktor, to discover who has been threatening to kill him.

Working together both helps and hinders--for while the fiery Silke is hot on the heels of the villain, she's finding it hard to resist the charms of the ice-cool Stone...

The first fantasy thriller starring streetwise private investigator, Silke, and her human sidekick, Stone.

The level of NOSTALGIA from this series is INSANE 🥹 Child me is definitely jealous that I have book 2 sitting right here beside me rn, because she would have done anythinG to catch even a glimpse of it.

It pains me that this book/series is so slept on 😭 because it deserves all the recognition and more! But I'm grateful I got to experience it as a child with my siblings.. it taught me that there ARE fun books out there for you to enjoy, and it's simply about finding the right one for you. And Silke was such a badass role model for me growing up! She's an absolute queen and I CANNOT wait to savour and read book 2 👑💗

i think this book is better than what it seems to be...i mean seriously silke is a great character and the whole story is great i do not understand neither the low ratings or the fact that the series stop on the second book that s the only reason that the book dissapoints me (ohh!! and this stupid cover is well... STUPID)
