Forbidden Faith is second chance at its best. And although there were a couple of things at the start of the book that I had a little trouble with, I ended up loving it. Faith and Lucky were beautiful together and I never once doubted their love.
Ms. West is a very talented author that sucked me into her story with a smooth flowing, enjoyable writing style that made the book hard to put down and had me repeating, just one more chapter.
I am very much looking forward to diving into the next book of this series. I have no idea how Ms. West will redeem Phillip, but I have faith she will succeed.

I was gifted this ARC by the author for an honest review. I had the pleasure of meeting TJ West in Phoenix AZ in January 2015 for collaboration on her upcoming books' photo shoots for their covers. With that being said, I was attracted to her passion for her characters and her vision of how she wanted them portrayed. It is truly a blessed experience to be part of the process. At the time, I didn't know this book was complete and part of the series we were shooting covers for in January, but here it is, in all its glory, and Tiff, you should definitely be proud Mama! Now on with the review....

We are introduced immediately to Lucas/Lucky Jones, construction worker for Montgomery Industries, owned by Faith Montgomery's father. The book opens up with a heart wrenching scene where this appealingly humble young man is forced into a decision to take a blackmail payoff of one million dollars to never see Faith again. Her father is a biased, mean, evil man who pulls every string to get what he wants, even if it means smearing Lucas' impoverished and junkie mom's shortcomings publicly to assure he will leave town.
Faith Montgomery,the daughter of this wealthy successful CEO, is a privileged young lady who assists her father in his business and dreams of opening her own hotel one day. At the tender age of 19, in a chance encounter at her father's job site, she crossed paths with Lucas and became enamored and intrigued at their first meeting and she didn't even get his name. Faith has a strong character and she pursues him, at first behind the back of her disapproving father and they start a loving relationship. After being gutted by Lucas' acceptance of her father's money, unaware of the full story of blackmail and torment behind it, she goes on with her life and college, leaving her estranged father behind in Arizona. She moves to San Diego, still sort of attached to her dad's business, but separately living her dream of opening her own hotel, Montgomery Suites.
Faith's college roommate is the eccentric June, also a privileged born female, but with ambitions of her own. She is operating her own music production company, BitchTours 2090 and doing well. She happens to cross paths with the band, JINX, headed by none other than Lucas/Lucky Jones, himself and his best friend, Danny. The deal June offers is a sweet one and JINXS is more than a little talented and headed for stardom. ***SPECIAL NOTE: In some of the Chapter breaks there are song lyrics....just plain awesome!*** Sharing in June's success, Faith agrees to join June for a celebratory party of the signing of the new band. This is a roller coaster ride of emotions both sad and exciting. The plot twists keep you on your toes for sure and I am definitely looking forward to Book 1.5 June's story. Will Faith run and continue her love-less relationships? Will she give Lucas a chance to explain? Will Lucky face the girl he left behind? What happened to the money? Will Faith confront her father? Will Lucky risk it all by re-entering Faith's life, the one thing that is Forbidden? Find out for yourself!!
I cannot express how much I enjoyed this book. I read it all in one sitting to the wee hours of morning. The feelings are raw and exposed and punch you in the gut. The happiness will make you smile as you share in their joys and successes. A truly gifted writer doesn't tell a story, they make you feel it. Slam Dunk, Tiff, slam dunk!

T.J. West has outdone herself with her new book. This is the first book of her new series and is very different than her Rain series.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this amazing second chance book. It contains a little of everything. Sexy rock-stars, kick-ass best friends, great laughs and yummy moments!
Faith Montgomery doesn't do love after sexy and delicious rocker Lucas/ Lucky Jones. She comes from a very wealthy background, and hates her father for having bought off Lucas to stay away from her many years before.
Lucas/Lucky Jones has regretted walking away so many years ago from the girl he cant seem to forget, no matter how many girls add a notch to his bed.
Fate, in the form of Faith's best-friend June's recording label, unexpectedly brings them back together and sparks fly.
I love the emotions that West makes you feel throughout the book. You root for Faith and Lucky all while having moments of wanting to smack both upside the head. I laughed, cried, and fell in love with not only the two main characters but the supporting cast.
It being the first book of the series, West did a great job of foreshadowing interest as a reader for the stories of upcoming characters, and she did it in a great way where they didn't take away the interest from Faith and Lucky.
I can not wait to see what T.J. West comes up with next in this series!

Wow just wow! The first chapter just sucked me in and I couldn't put it down, I was hooked. I loved how this book made me feel the characters. I felt happy, sad and I even cried. Every time I thought things are going good...bam there's a different twist that left my mouth hanging open.
Faith was a rich girl on the right side of the tracks and Lucas (Lucky) who's a musician is on the wrong side. The first time Faith saw Lucas at her fathers job sight she knew she had to talk to him. Faith's father did not want them together so he gave Lucas an ultimatum and he took the wrong one he will realize years later.
Five years later she's away from her dad opening up her own hotel. She is seeing Phillip and it's not serious (to her anyway) just sex is all she wants because Lucas ruined it for her. Her best friend June discovers Lucas's band Jinks and wants to sign them. June invited Faith to a party after the band signs a contract. Faith see Lucas and then.....you'll have to read the book to see what happens. This is a must read!

Finally got lucky
Forbidden Faith is a mix between forbidden teen love and second chance romance.
Faith and Lucas were seperated by the judgment and deceptive ways of Faiths father.
Years later both are reunited but what happened in the past still hurts.
The plot moves from present to past. The present I loved the past I didn’t feel was necessary I got the gist of their love for each other and what had happened without it.
The plot later moves to Lucas (Lucky) starting to make it big with his band, it felt like the start of a new story.
Told in dual pov's with great characters a few hot moments, overall this was a good read that had me as a reader wanting to persue the next book.

This author is new to me and came recommended by a friend....and who doesn't love a rocker?!
Faith Montgomery comes from money but has found her lover, best friend and soul mate in Lucas....until her stinking rich Dad makes it impossible for Lucas not to leave...leave town and leave Faith (I hate her Dad!!)
They cross paths again 5 years later and they find those same feelings are still there. Lucas (Lucky) is now a rock star in a band called Jinks.....what will happen, will Faith learn the truth of why he left and forgive him? I can tell you its angsty, heartbreaking and HOT! All the best qualities in a rocker book!

This is my first read by Ms. T.J. West and I couldn't be more pleased. I absolutely loved every part of this story. The characters are well-defined and the story reads so smooth. I was hooked from the first page. Besides, what is there not to love about a hot rock star who falls for a girl whose father believes is not the right fit for his daughter? Will her father cause interference? Are Faith Montgomery and Lucas Jones strong enough to stick it out through thick and thin? I guess you will just have to read it to find out. Awesome job, Ms. West! I look forward to reading more from you.

This is the first book I have read by T.J. West and I LOVED it! It grabbed my attention from the start and I couldn't stop reading until the end. I had to see where Lucky and Faith would end up, and now I want books for several of the other characters! I need to know what Danny's full story is, and I need to know what happens with June!
I loved everything about this book- from the cover, to the characters, to the story-line. If you like a hot rocker, a strong female character and a book that sucks you into the plot and doesn't let go, then you need this book!

I absolutely adored these characters. Faith is a woman who is strong, independent, and reserved. Lucky/ Lucas is a man who is just trying to get ahead in the world with his music. He keeps his head down and keeps doing what he loves. Once they see each other it's like an instant connection that you can't wait to find out what happens between them. I definitely want more of these characters. I absolutely recommend this book to everyone. If you are looking for something that is a true romance without a whole lot of sex scenes then this is Definitely the book for you. HAPPY READING!!!!

This is my first TJ West read and I totally loved it.
Faith and Lucas are two great characters. I really liked them. The secondary characters are great too. I thought they added to the story.
Faith and Lucas met when they were nineteen. The relationship didn't last long when her wealthy father interfered. Years later fate steps in and reunited them. What happens when the truth comes out??
Great read with twists and turns that I loved. Jumping into book two now.

Forbidden Faith is my first TJ West experience, and I am blown away and ever so thankful that I signed up to read all three books in this series. I have since added every book in her Goodreads listing to my TBR. The narrative alternated between the POV of the male and female leads - Lucky and Faith - and I enjoyed being in both of their heads. The writing was absorbing, dynamic, sensual, insightful, and addicting, so much so that I suffered a massive book hangover from my inability to stop reading. The characters are interesting, complicated, and multi-layered. I was entertained from beginning to end and more than ready to start the next book.

I read an excerpt on the author's blog, I was moved to tears from an EXCERPT!!! I KNEW I had to read Lucas "Lucky" Jones and Faith Montgomery's story.
Faith Montgomery "Daddy's little girl" falls for Lucas "Lucky" Jones and it is a perfect dream....until a lie and broken promises turn it into a nightmare neither can wake up from. Life is going much better for them than they dared to hope, but something is missing. That same something has stopped Faith and Lucas from moving on with their personal lives.

Forbidden Faith is a story about forbidden love. About two young kids who meet, fall in love and are torn apart because of their class differences. Fast forward several years and they come face to face once again. Are they strong enough to fight for each other or was their love not as timeless as they once thought?
This story had just the right amount of angst, the heat level was HOT, and it kept me turning the pages to see what would happen next. It was sweet, it was sad, it was loving, and at times, I wanted to smack the characters. I wish I would have had more to the end of the story, but I know the series continues...which is AWESOME!

This was my first T.J. West novel and I LOVED IT! I was immediately drawn into the characters and hooked with the story. I personally enjoy reading about a strong female character, such as Faith, who is not afraid to go after what she wants. She feels the passion that pulls her to Lucas, the man her father feels isn't good enough for her and has forbidden her to see. Will love and passion be defeated by power and money? Or can love overcome all life's obstacles?
I would definitely recommended this book! Romance, sex and drama all wrapped in one! It was a fun read and I can't wait to see what happens with the other characters in the story!

This is a second chance romance between Lucas/Lucky and Faith. Five years ago something divided our "from opposite sides of the track" couple. We get to see what happens and what the two are up to before they meet again. While I enjoyed the story, I had a hard time with how quickly they reconciled. There was resolution to the issue that drove them apart and we are left with the couple in a happy place but still some ongoing issues in their lives. You can tell that things will be dealt with in future books.
Overall a good read that will leave you wanting to know more about the band.

Where to even start. Hot rock star. Check. Steamy sex. Check. Villain. Check & double check. Twists you didn't expect. Check. And love. CHECK.
Loved Lucas. Loved Faith. Loved their story & how they were able to piece things together and see that they were meant to be together.

I was given Forbidden Faith by T.J. West as an Arc I have never read this author’s books before but I sure will be now. OMG this book is HOT Faith is a sexy woman who knows what she wants and doesn’t want. Lucas (Lucky) is one sexy tatted up musician who I can’t get enough of. You have got to read this book I personally cannot wait for the other book or books that will follow.

I think that this was a great start to what seems like a great rocker series. The characters were great and even though I wanted to smack Danny a few times, I loved the way the characters were written and the flow of the story. I can't wait to see how the other's character's come together and how life with a rocker fits into Faith's life.

I loved this book from start to finish. There was just enough twists to keep you guessing & keep you turning the pages. If you're a first time TJ West reader or a loyal reader you'll love this book! My only complaint was it ended! Looking forward to what TJ has up her sleeve! Xoxo

Oh yes, Tiffani did it again. I absolutely enjoyed reading this book and really can't wait to read the next one in this series! Love the characters and the story. A young love torn apart but trying finding a way back to each other no matter what. A short but enjoyable read.

This was a good Rock Star and second chance romance story in which we had Lucas AKA Lucky and Faith who met and fell in love 5 years ago but were torn apart by lies and betrayal. Chance has brought them back together again and despite all of the hurt and bad memories between them they can't resist the pull and the love that still burns very hot. They'll need to work through their past if they want any shot at a future.
Lucky was a likeable leading man if a bit cocky. I usually don't mind a self-assured leading man but there were moments when I thought maybe Lucky came across as a bit too much. However he quickly grew on me especially when reintroduced to Faith. I found myself steadily rooting for them to work things out because it was clear that they were very much in love. Faith was also a very good leading lady. It's different and refreshing to have a leading female not be this inexperienced naive girl waiting for the guy to suddenly educate her on the ways of love. Although I must admit there were a few moments where she referred to herself in not so flattering words and I have to say that I kind of agreed with her. She had moments that struck me as a bit childish or a bit over the top but I was easily able to move past it as the story continued on and the twists and turns were thrown into the mix.
I loved that this story had so many unexpected elements. There were things that I expected to take longer to work out and then there were things that I didn't see coming at all. I do wish that it had been a bit longer so that maybe a little bit more time could have been spent on Faith and Lucky working through some of their issues. I did feel like their reunion and rekindling of the relationship was a bit sudden but I also attributed that to the fact that this was a relatively short story in comparison to other romance books out there today. All in all I found myself able to enjoy the story. There were plenty of steamy moments. Faith and Lucky were clearly in love with each other and it wasn't an insta love deal as they had been in love with each other all along. There were characters to hate, characters to love, and characters that I can't wait to learn more about in the upcoming books.
Despite the few downsides for me, this story was still very enjoyable and I certainly look forward to reading all of the rest of the books in the series and getting to watch all the rest of the guys in the band hopefully find their happily ever after.

This was my very first T.J. WEST experience and I was not disappointed!!!
A new fan has been born and I simply love when I read a new author and just fall for the characters.
From the very beginning you can't help but fall for Lucas. Talk about having it rough and having it get tougher. But Lucas, is a fighter. He knows what he wants and will not stop until his name is up in lights and his face on the cover of Rolling Stone. He also, knows what love is and knows what it is like to have that love taken by the hand of another. For the last five years Lucas Jones/Lucky has been working with his band JINKS and making a name for themselves. FINALLY, the day comes when they are noticed and headed straight to the top. But... yeah... things change the moment HER name is mentioned and not only will he fight for the spotlight, but he will FINALLY fight for the LOVE he was forbidden to have.
Faith, from the moment he walked away from her without a second glance she swore to never fall in love. She had loved and lost and now she was well on her way to making a dream a reality. For the last five years she made sure to keep her heart closed. She knew what love did, it hurt and it betrayed. It could be bought at the right price and she would no longer be the victim. She had needs, sexual needs and feels guilty for stringing the latest man in her life on. She could see he wanted more, but HE had broken her and ruined her for all men. I loved this book! I’m not normally one for romances, but this one touched me. The author does a wonderful job weaving storylines, and creating a fast-moving, interesting story.
The book centers on the love-loss-love of Faith and Lucky. Faith comes from a wealthy, important family. She meets Lucky and falls in love, but her father wants something else for her. He has plans for her to marry someone rich, to carry on the tradition of the family. The novel begins with him breaking up their relationship, and then the story works through a mix of present story and flashbacks, told as journals.
Several years later, Lucky and Faith cross paths again. Lucky is now a musician on the verge of launching a successful music career, and Faith has moved away from her domineering father. When they meet again, they have some loose ends, and they have to come to grips with those issues, as well as healing the past. Added to the story, there are some additional plot twists you don’t see coming. I won’t spoil them, but Faith has more than a few family and friend issues to iron out. The characters are complex, just like real people.
I think this is a great story, and a great beginning to a new series. I’m looking forward to reading the rest. I enjoyed the preview of Book #2, which is included at the end of this one.

There were some surprises and twists that I never saw coming, which was great. I love that this is a series, because that means I get to see how these two fare in the future, along with getting lost in a new couple's story.
