This is a fantastic follow up to book one but I warn you, bring the tissues. This book was full of action, right off the bat we get dropped into the world where we left off so there isn’t that “several months later” deal. Our cast of characters are in varying precarious positions and are learning how to navigate the new developments cropping up.
I loved seeing Kovuco’s growth and development of independence. I really think this is him learning to be his own volf and discovering that the status quo needs to be left behind. He is still the honorable male we love, but his view on what that means is shifting.
Ameilja is, I think, for the first time feeling very not in charge. As much as she was stuck within the confines of rules, she had a lot of wiggle room. She’s now stuck in a position where her choices won’t harm her, but will harm others. This whole situation is also set up to flip what she knows on its head.
I hate to say it but I’m liking Kiefer more. Book one he was a big ole weenie, but this book we are starting to see more of his intelligence and good sense coming through.
Rae is becoming even more interesting of a character and I cannot wait to see where her arc goes.
The PLOT TWISTS! I cannot say how many times I gasped and was caught off guard with the way this story went. There are some devastating moments I do not wish to speak about. Characters we love suffer and thankfully some much needed revenge is doled out.
I need book three like yesterday

An action packed sequel!
Blackstar Oblivion is quite the ride! So many questions are answered and so many secrets are revealed (but now I have even more questions).
The back story of the main characters unfolds while leading to an explosive culmination at the end. It’s hard to discuss without revealing spoilers. However the attachment to characters gets stronger. The slow burn gets hotter and tears were even shed.
If you enjoyed the first book, the second book is even better!
I cannot wait for book three!

This is book is an excellent continuation of the Blackstar series. The author dives further into the characters and develops on the story line in a way that makes the reader continue to guess “what’s next”.
I’m not big on handing out spoilers so I’ll just say, if you want to know what the character arcs are from the first book, you will not be disappointed.
10/10 I highly recommend this series.

I read his first one and enjoyed it. New indie author and who I gave a chance on his writing style. Took me a minute to get hooked with the first one. This second book…..YES! It started up where it ended. Better writing. I cried this time . I was hooked. The pacing and buildup is everything. Kovuco and Ameilja is everything. I adore them! My opinion of Kiefer has shifted some.Good job Lukas. Need the third book now!!!!!

I def love Oblivion more! This series has pulled me in my feels and I adore kovuo and Ameilja. This one didn’t feel as much sci-fi but the storyline was still in there. Kovucos undying love for her has me going a d this one took me on an emotional roller coaster. So much happens I could not stop reading. Still adore Navi and Haruka. Harukas badass everyone JS! Didn’t expect some of the things to happen. It’s crazy! I don’t have all answers still but I’m very very very ready for book three!
