This one was soooooo sweet and endearing. I loved this small town romance so much!
EJ and Angie were adorable and I loved the way he pursued her even though he wasn't sure about the advice he got from his firefighter buddies. I truly loved watching their story unfold. Their connection was sweet and EJ was so patient with her as she navigated dating as a single mom. EJ was up front with his feelings and I loved how Angie gave him a chance though she was nervous. Her twins were fun, adorable, and typical rambunctious toddler boys. I loved the way the author featured them in the story. They were such a huge part of Angie's life and their relationship. They handled conflict like adults, honestly and straightforward.
And gotta love those small town vibes, especially if they are Bordeaux vibes! IYKYK and if you don't know, you need to know. And as always, Scott made me laugh, sigh, and get teary eyed. I always love her balance of romance with the comedy. A perfect blend!

Savannah Scott has worked her magic again. This may be a novella, but it’s packed full of heart, humor, and characters I immediately fell in love with.
It takes place in one of my favorite fictional towns— Bordeaux Ohio, and it was so much fun to be back again, and to reconnect such beloved characters—especially the senior women.
This is seriously such a sweet story, and the way, EJ pursued Angie with such persistence and patience gave me all the feels. Loved it!

Watching the difference that sweet love makes in the lives of dear characters for a Happily Ever After shines bright within. Don’t miss out on this delightful story! I’m all smiles here! It's always a treat to head back to one of my favorite fictional towns, Bordeaux. Never Say Maybe was the sweetest story!
Angie is a hard-working single mom of twin boys. Her boys come first and she is such an amazing mom to them. She isn’t looking for a relationship, but EJ has been wanting to take her on a date for a long time. I really loved how persistent he was, but in a good and respectful way. EJ was a gentleman to the extreme, making him a perfect book boyfriend and just what Angie needs in her life. Angie may resist his interest at first, but he keeps showing up for her in little ways, letting her know he cares about both her and her boys. She wasn’t used to this kind of attention, but I loved seeing her enjoy it and EJ definitely understood what it means to date a single mother. They were so cute together!
This novella was funny and had all the small town charm that Savannah Scott is so good at.
I loved the seniors of the town. They always make me laugh. I read this pool side and enjoyed every minute of it! Pick it up this summer for a quick afternoon or evening read that will give you the perfect dose of romance. If you haven’t been to Bordeaux yet this is a great intro and if you have you don’t want to miss visiting again! I highly recommend it!

EJ, a local firefighter is crushing hard on Angie who works at the Dippity Do salon. He wants to take her out on a date but she’s not really looking into dating right now with work and her twin boys, she barely has the time. But EJ is patient, charming and persistent, after that one date, he definitely showed Angie she’s worth the wait.
Angie deserves all the love and a partner in life and EJ is just perfect. These two are adorable together. EJ may be persistent but not in a creepy way! He’s just the sweetest especially with her rambunctious kids.
If this is your first introduction to the town of Bordeaux, welcome! Hope you enjoy a glimpse of these cute town and fun townspeople. If you’re like me and have been in Bordeaux before then I’m sure you’ll love seeing some of our favorites!

Alright, this was just the cutest little novella ever. It was sweet and I really enjoyed visiting Bordeaux again! I read it in a few hours. If you have already visited Bordeaux then you will just cozy up and fit right in. It can be read as a standalone but I think it’s that much sweeter and richer if you have experienced the getting shipped series. EJ and Angie had such an adorable love story and Angie’s twins were just the sweet cherry on top. EJ’s interactions with the twins were heart melting. Just a really enjoyable little read.

This was a cute novella. If you love Savannah’s Getting Shipped! Series then you’ll love revisiting Bordeaux and seeing some familiar faces. EJ is a green flag for sure. His patient persistence was so thoughtful. A sweet quick read.

The Debrief: This novella hits all the comfort points like putting on my favorite worn jeans. Not only the fireman, but Angie and her little family just needed me to know them. Bordeaux is my favorite place to visit and all of the small town charm is in full force. I laughed. I sighed. I became Team EJ. (Duke is a given folks. IYKYK)
The Rhyme: Angie’s whole life is working and being a mom to her twin boys everyday. But EJ is smiling his way into her heart and she’s not sure she wants to keep him away.

Very cute. Didn’t realize it was just a novella and I wanted it to be longer but I liked that they didn’t mess around and the minor miscommunication was cleared up very quickly.

He’s a firefighter and she is a hair stylist. She is a single mom of twin boys. Goes along with the “shipped” series. Read it in a day essentially.
My biggest complaint is that it ended so abruptly. I wish we could have seen him get to know the twins as her boyfriend and get engaged. The epilogue shows them having a baby after being married but the book doesn’t show them dating with the twins knowing or their marriage.

It’s always an incredible delight returning to Bordeaux and reading all the stories! This small town has my heart along with this story. Angie is a single mom of the cutest twin boys who works as a hair stylist. EJ is a firefighter at the local fire station. You’ll want to cheer for them and laugh with them as you read all the great things including:

-elderly ladies
-pink hair

We’re heading back to Bordeaux with this short, sweet, and swoony novella. It’s the perfect time too since it’s Bordeaux Days!!! Hooray!!
Angie and EJ have one of the sweetest relationships. I truly love seeing characters who have known each other for so long take the tentative steps towards more. The beginnings of butterflies, the worries of changing their relationship, and the love that blossoms. I’m giddy watching it unfold and EJ is just the best at taking care of Angie’s doubts. I loved how he stepped up for her twin boys. Be still my heart, the laundry basket. Being a single working mom, EJ understands and comes right along side her to support her and encourage her, always waiting on her to give the green light.
Short and sweet, but not short on the Savannah Scott humor and heart.

All the love for this darling novella! I loved returning to Bordeaux, Ohio (or as the locals say, Bored Ox). Savannah Scott easily pulled me into another amazing romcom in this delightful small-town setting filled with swoony, sweet kisses, & a lovely second-chance romance. Never Say Maybe takes place during Bordeaux Days, the town’s famous corn-themed celebration, so if I’m using a lot of food references, it’s because I was craving carnival food the entire time I was reading!
Experiencing Angie & EJ’s romance was so much fun! It’s like eating a delicious candy apple, the perfect blend of sweetness. This caring single mom of twins falling for a hunky firefighter whose gentle persistence had me swooning, hooked me from the start. There’s so much goodness packed into this quick read, & I loved being able to devour it in one sitting.
As the single mom of twin four-year-old boys, the last thing Angie thinks about is romance. But this sweet hairdresser is in for a surprise when hunky firefighter EJ, whom she’s known for years, sets his sights on her. Through his charm & persistence, he convinces her to go on a date. But while the sparks fly, is EJ willing to take on not just Angie, but her two small sons who are definitely part of the package?
I adored EJ! He’s thoughtful, charming, & easy to love. While he knows what he wants, I loved how willing he was to give Angie the space & time she needed and let her set the pace. The way he interacted with her boys was so sweet too. They were never an afterthought, & I loved his “Operation Prove Bordeaux Wrong.” Angie’s such a hardworking, devoted mom. I loved how she always put her boys first & was careful about introducing EJ before she knew where things might lead.
It was also fun returning for Bordeaux Days! From the kettle corn machine to Esther’s constant mishearing, the hilarious situations had me laughing out loud. There were so many funny moments mixed with the sweet & romantic. Levi & Jack had me grinning from ear to ear too. I love that age, when the simplest things bring pure joy, & I enjoyed how naturally EJ stepped into a parenting role with them.

I loved being back in Bordeaux, Ohio with Angie and EJ.
I really appreciate that EJ is persistent, but not pushy. He never forces Angie or asks for more than she is willing and able to give. He shows so much love for Jack and Levi, even when he’s just “Mister EJ” the firefighter. He shows up for her in small and simple ways and never hides his intentions.
Angie is the cutest. She really wants to make sure she does right by her twins, but it’s almost to the detriment of her own happiness. I am glad she was able to work through her concerns to find her way to EJ.
I will forever SHIP open communication between characters and this book does an excellent job at that! When misunderstandings arise, there is clear and open conversation to clear it up, even if EJ does think he needs a handbook of “How to Approach the Woman You’re Falling for When It Seems Like She Might Be Upset With You but Then Again Might Just be Having an Off Day”.
As always, the cast of characters in Bordeaux is up to so many shenanigans and I love it! This book is full of so many funny scenes and really shows what small town living is like. It was fun to have it set during the other Bordeaux books, so I was able to get a peek at what everyone was up to from a different perspective. I really hope this book was a setup for having more Bordeaux books because now that there are some new characters (looking at those firefighters…), I need their stories!

It's always a good day for a trip back to Bordeaux! I loved reading this novella. It's short, and sweet. This one made me chuckle and sigh with happiness. I loved it so much!
This one features Angie and EJ. Angie works at the Dippity Doo salon. She's a single mother of twins. Those boys give her a run for her money. They definitely made me laugh so many times. I loved watching Angie with her boys, it was obvious that they were a huge part of her life, as they should be.
EJ is one of the firefighters in Bordeaux. I loved that he was willing to work hard for Angie to give him a chance. I also loved that he wasn't concerned when the folks of Bordeaux gossip, as the folks of Bordeaux do. He just let Angie know that he was there for her, and it didn't matter what they said.
Bordeaux is such a hilarious town. This one takes place during Bordeaux Days, and it made me want to go so badly.
This one is a perfect read for this time of year. It's a cute, quick, quirky story. Grab yours today!

Novellas are not all created equal. Some feel too short and you feel shortchanged, others feel rushed and you don't feel like you know the characters enough. This one however, is just a perfect balance of heart, humor, and sassy old ladies.
She is a hairdresser, single mom, and resistant to love or any type of relationship. He is a fireman, has known her their entire lives, and is as patient as a butterfly waiting in it's chrysalis. Resistance vs Persistence- who will win. She doesn't stand a chance with his caring and kindness, his low pressure tactics, and his pure goodness- but she is determined to give it everything she's got.
There are small town gossip mills, spunky, hilarious, and nosy old ladies, Bordeaux Days Corn Festival, and a scene in the grocery store that had me laughing and wanting to text and tell her that she's a fool if she doesn't give him a chance. He's a keeper, but I admire her protecting her young twins from future heartache- and herself.
I'm a fan of all of the author's books and this one followed suit. Humor, heart, and lots of happiness.

What a cute story! I loved returning to Bordeaux and reading Angie and EJ’s story.
Angie was so fun and felt so real. She was focused on her boys and was unsure about bringing someone else in. She was such a good mom and I loved her relationship with her own mom. ANgie had such a sweet family and i loved her care for them. EJ was a sweetheart! I loved his care and genuineness. He really liked Angie and wanted to be a part of her life. They were adorable together and I loved EJ’s practical care for her and the boys.
This is a novella, so the story moved along pretty quickly, but it was a cute read. I loved getting back into the town and all the quirky characters. It was so fun to see all the ladies at the hair salon and I loved the seniors in town! They always provide so much character to the world and such funny antics. This small town romcom has only kisses.

Never Say Maybe is definitely a novella done right. Even though it is shorter than a full-length novel, the tension, the chemistry, and the swoon are all still packed into this sweet story.
I loved how EJ was all-in for Angie and her boys and how willing he was to have a relationship with Angie that moved at her pace, even though he had fallen for her much earlier.
If you have read other books in the Getting Shipped series, then you will enjoy cameos from many of the quirky townspeople and a few of the main characters from other novels. However, if you haven’t read any of the other books from the series, this could be a fun introduction to the small town of Bordeaux, Ohio (pronounced Bored Ox).

Angie is a single mom to adorable twin boys. Having been wounded by her ex-husband, she is not interested in dating. Thank you very much. But, when someone who is as kind, thoughtful, and persistent as E.J., it’s hard for Angie to say no to “just dinner”.
I loved his determination to see their relationship grow and not taking seriously the gossip mill of the local townsfolk. With Angie working at a hair salon and E.J. being a firefighter, everyone has a say in their budding romance. Ms. Scott writes opinionated and lovable characters and situations that make you feel like you are right there. This is a great read for a summer feel with a town corn festival and fun town activities. I recommend you get a copy of it.

EJ may be a firefighter, but he knows how to bring the heat!
What a fun, sweet, and heartwarming story from Savannah Scott. I always love revisiting Bordeaux! I loved how this story about EJ and Angie falling in love had a little overlap from Censorshipped, when Duke and Shannon fell in love.
I adored EJ’s persistence, kindness, compassion, and sincere heart when pursuing Angie. It’s true she put him off for quite some time, but she has good reason to keep her walls up. Two four year old reasons in particular. Her resilience and love for her boys dominated her every action and decision. It was so sweet watching EJ recognize that, and want not only her, but the boys as well.

Angie and EJ’s story starts out slowly. Single mom to twins, working with her mom’s help with her boys, Angie is reluctant to start dating and doing anything to adversely affect her boys lives.
EJ loves all of her family, wants to be a father and support Angie in parenting and ease her burden. He’s curious about her, and intrigued by the boys. He knows it’s am or nothing.
Loved his heartfelt efforts to get to know if her, break the ice, and start a relationship. His friend’s advice, the town grapevine/gossips, all made for a fun story of their fall and first dates. Lovely, sweet romance, so worth a quick read. HEA is always the best ending.

This kisses only novella is adjacent to the Getting Shipped series. It actually takes place in the middle of that series. It can be read as a standalone. There are townspeople from Bordeaux that do show up, but you won't be lost if you haven't read the other series.
As the mayor of Bordeaux, I am excited every time we get to visit my town again. This novella ended a little abruptly for my tastes. I would have loved another chapter before the epilogue. But overall, my Getting Shipped heart was happy!

Never Say Maybe is such a sweet and fun novella!
Firefighter EJ, who is simply just the most wonderful human being ever, just wants one date with Angie. Angie, a single mom of twin boys who works at a hair salon, doesn't want to date because she is focusing on her kids.
That doesn't deter EJ, though. He pursues her with the intention of not just dating her but maybe beginning a new life with her. Will Angie let herself fall in love and learn to trust that there is a man that will not only love her, but her boys, too?
With humor, coziness, and sweet gestures all around, this book will make you remember what falling in love feels like.
Highly recommend!
