I'm new to the Harem / LitRPG thing (If I'd known more about LitRPG when I wrote Shadow, I might have incorporated more elements of that into it).
I have a FT job, so I work on this when I can. Hopefully the next one will be even better.

The best one (last one) of the series
Urban Fantasy / Harem / fade to black sex scenes
This is the best one, and a decent length. More happens here than the previous two. but just as it gets good, it's over.
This is the last book. sales were so poor the 5 book series got cut to a trilogy (they were going to be 5 short books). If future sales jump up, he's gonna come back and do a second story arc -but that's not bloody likely. So he crammed the events of the final 3 books into one, and it's pretty good. Kind of a bummer he didn't have this pacing and level of action from the start, but things start slow.

Series ending???

For whatever reason, a certain large company that sounds like a river in South America and sells books and millions of other items has decided to mess with this author. Why? Who knows. Because they can??
Book 3 continues the story of an orphan who suddenly discovers he's a werewolf. Not just ANY werewolf, but one of Odin's own soldier werewolf group. He also discovers that, as an orphan, he was left a sizeable trustfund by his parents, but it has been kept from him for the enrichment of a Texas tycoon. The tycoon is doing everything to keep the trust away from Joshua, including framing him and trying to have him killed, but Joshua and his ladies keep managing to stay ahead of the game.
Its a good series that needs space to finish, but apparently the violence and harem aspects are becoming no-no's within this large corporation.

sad for the abrupt ending

As this series is not getting the readership it should the author has cut the series off at the current story arc. It was also published with plenty of errors in the second half of the book, probably due to rushing the release as the release platform was not working to help promote this series. Hopefully numbers will improve and this series will get picked up again for more books. I like the modern setting of this story with the hidden magic, abilities and societies. Hoping for more, but as long as John/Jan keeps writing and releasing good stories, I will be happy.

An action-packed classic Jan Stryvant story, like Portal or Valens.

I have read all three books in the (How) to be a Werewolf series. They are all 5 Stars in my book! 😄 This is a classic Jan Stryvant harem type book and series with a lot of action and suspense thrown in. One interesting part of this book and series was the mystery of who was actually behind all the antagonism. Plus why it was happening in the first place was revealed it Resilience. The ending was left kinda open though...

really enjoyed this story and this book specifically

Having read almost everything the author has published under this author’s name and his other name, I can say without out a doubt that this was not only a good series but up there with the Valen’s series (both of which I loved). The story progressed at a great pace and there were some good twists and some turns that caught me off guard. Truely wished there were going to be more forthcoming, but I understand why that might not happen.

Great series

I’m so sorry to hear that you’re going to end this series and your pen name because people arent reading it or are. Censoring it. I’m a 70 year old woman from the south and I enjoy your stories if I don’t want to read the hot stuff I just page ahead. FYI I have been married to the same wonderful man for 50 years. So what kind of person does that make me to read your book and I’ve read everything you’ve written under both names. People need to understand this is fantasy. Rant ended because I wanted to know what happens to Josh & Co.. ENJOY!

Superb

This is a great end to what was meant to be the first arc of a longer series. I really hope that other readers pick up on these books as I have thoroughly enjoyed them. If you also enjoy them tell others as it appears that a certain retailer has been sabotaging sales. I hope that sales pick up to the point that it becomes viable for this series to be extended as the story is good enough.

Loved it!

First off I just want to say I still love Jan Stryvant's work, I dont care what's popular, good work is good work! I burned through this book like I wanted to lose my job, obviously I was more responsible then that, and I dont regret it at all. If your on the fence about reading this I urge you to give it a shot. I hope this series comes back and we can experience the rest of the story.

Enjoyed this series

It's unfortunate that it had to end this way, but I enjoyed the story and the characters. The small but intricate factual details in some scenes make this story so much more enjoyable, since I'm not yelling at the book "that's not how it works." I appreciate the author's efforts and research, even for fiction.

Sad to hear this might be the last. I thought it was great!

I've really enjoyed this series, and I'm very glad you included enough from what would have been book four to finish the main plot, but I was really looking forward to seeing more! I don't know about the rest of the genre, but I really like the story lines you put in your novels.

Love your books

I have read everything that you have written that's on Amazon. While not everything has been my favorite, your character development and story telling are in my top five authors. As long as you keep writing, I will read it. Thank you for sharing your stories.

Would love to have this continued if possible as there is still a lot more that could be done with this story. Was good though and would recommend this series to anyone who is into this sort of thing.

Uber werewolf taking charge

Fun story and it would be nice it the series continues. While the story has explicit adult interactions, the story itself is an amusing tale of modern supernaturals.

Not for me

This series started decent but it's not for me. It becomes clear the MC will sleep with most of the women. I enjoyed Valen's legacy but this series just isn't doing it for me.

Good read Joshua gets accepted

Joshua solves most of his immediate problems and looks like his life and football career are back on track after Mr White’s interference

Great addition to the series.

Enjoyable read. There's a lot happening in this installment of the series. Ending on a satisfactory note. I'd love to see more in this series.

This is a great series and I highly recommend it. It’s has an OP MC who almost never uses his OP powers and instead deals with restraint as a goal and it works very very well.

Damn shame this is the end.

May favorite story from Stryvant so far. Great wrap to the story even if I wish this one was going to be another 20 book monster.
