Toby and Damon’s whirlwind romance continues, but can they find a balance between love and work? Do they even want to?

Toby can scarcely believe that his life has changed so much in less than two weeks, but it has. His predictable little life has gone from routine to sexually adventurous in a matter of days. And to be honest, he wouldn’t have it any other way.

Damon’s just as into Toby, more interested in exploring with his new lover than spending all his time at the bar. Luckily things are running fairly smoothly there with his hand only occasionally needed on the rudder.

Their idyllic love affair has a few bumps to withstand, though, in the form of an intruder with a gun. Can Toby and Damon survive what happens next?

Often referred to as "Space Cowboy" and "Gangsta of Love" while still striving for the moniker of "Maurice," Sean Michael spends his days surfing, smutting, organizing his immense gourd collection and fantasizing about one day retiring on a small secluded island peopled entirely by horseshoe crabs. While collecting vast amounts of vintage gay pulp novels and mood rings, Sean whiles away the hours between dropping the f-bomb and persuing the kama sutra by channeling the long lost spirit of John Wayne and singing along with the soundtrack to "Chicago."

A long-time writer of complicated haiku, currently Sean is attempting to learn the advanced arts of plate spinning and soap carving sex toys.

Barring any of that? He'll stick with writing his stories, thanks, and rubbing pretty bodies together to see if they spark.

It was good to see sculptor Toby and bar owner Damon again in this super-hot sequel to ‘Malting’. Toby has left “comfortable” and “predictable” so far behind that he has trouble recognizing himself sometimes. Damon delights in finding new ways to challenge Toby’s idea of what life should be like. Their romance is beginning to turn into a relationship, and while Damon can’t wait for them to get even closer, Toby is still adjusting to the idea of sharing all of his life with Damon. This second book of the ‘Beer and Clay’ series focuses on the further exploration of some of the naughtiness Toby has fantasized about for many years.

Toby has only spent two weeks playing sexual games with Damon, but it feels like a lot longer. He is learning to experiment, and liking what they do, but he is also beginning to understand there is more to Damon than what they get up to in the bedroom. Or any of the other places their physical activities take them, for that matter. Toby is still not sure that some of what he wants isn’t “forbidden” or will make him look bad. But he is also beginning to trust Damon enough to let himself go. And when some stranger intrudes, threatening him with a gun, Toby is not going to let Damon come to harm, whatever it takes.

Damon can’t believe it took him three years to approach Toby. He admires him as an artist, and he is beginning to adore him as a lover. Everything new he tries evokes interesting reactions from Toby, and Damon just loves to push the man he is already thinking of as his boy. Be it the plugs he makes Toby wear or the “threat” of a spanking, Damon will use anything to help Toby relax or be more focused when he works on his sculptures, whatever Toby needs. But when Toby has to suffer the consequences of protecting Damon from an attack, Damon has his work cut out for him.

If you like Toby and Damon and the sexy explorations they get up to, if you enjoy an experienced Dom teaching a wide-eyed sub about the pleasure to be had when submitting, and if you’re looking for a light, hot read with a somewhat shocking event that wakes up everyone, then you will probably like this novella.

I bought this because I wanted to find out who the bad guy is. Did I? Um. No. But there were more plugs, more spankings, more Toby with his piercings (which I know I could barely touch my ear after a week, touch my bits and I'll kill you - but maybe that's me). More attacks by mystery guy and the introduction of Dom friend Patrick and ex-military sub Christian. More sex, more plugs, more drama with the stalker. Hmmm. Maybe this is the one where Toby is shot? They run together.

This book is part of a series and should be read in order.

This books starts with a bang and they do not stop coming. This is definitely packed full with the sexy, sensual, and at times raunchy sex anyone who is a regular reader of Sean Michael will be familiar with. Along with the good humor and sometimes serious, it was a well written look at the continuing story of Toby and Damon. Their relationship is still evolving as they grow closer and their feelings for each other deepen.

Damon is slowly teaching Toby how to be truly free for the first time in his life. Reading about the very different ways Damon is doing this is both cute, and damn hot. Damon not only opens Toby up sexually but also in everyday life. Toby’s normal structured days are giving way to spur of the moment ideas and trying new things.

Toby and Damon are some of my favorite characters Sean Michael has come up with. Toby is just adorable. So sensual in his art work. Yet he was so innocent in a way about the rest of life. Damon is definitely the perfect match for him. Damon forces Toby out of his comfort zones and makes him live, makes him be open to new things. He also doesn't let Toby doubt himself. He makes sure to tell him he is amazing and loved.

This books leaves a few windows open for more to come and I really hope there is another book in the series. I really enjoy these two men and want to see more of their relationship and how it changes and grows. Technically they have only been together a short time so there could be so much more to explore with them.

And I can't wait to read it.

This story is a great continuation of Toby and Damon’s story. The two are a wonderful couple and are continuing to learn about each other and their emotions. A wrench is thrown into their fun when an intruder is found and all hell breaks loose. The men’s new found love will be tested and hopefully it will survive.

I enjoyed this visit with Toby and Damon. The two truly love each other. As they are enjoying their new relationship something comes along and tries to destroy it. I love Damon and his love for Toby. He is sweet and patient with Toby always helping and encouraging as he pushes the other man to open up and experience all that he longs for. The love that the two share is strong and you can see it in all that they do.

I cannot wait to return to their world an see just what more will happen to Damon and Toby.

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.

I really enjoy Damon and Toby's relationship. They explore sex and BDSM is such a fun, consensual way and it was obvious both men were getting their needs met.

We get more story in Milling that we had in the first book and I really particularly enjoyed the scene where we meet Patrick and Christian in Damon's bar. I'm keen to learn more about that couple.

Also worth mentioning is the divine scene in Toby's studio. I never knew sculpting could be so hot! I look forward to reading more about Damon and Toby.

I enjoyed Milling by Sean Michael more than I expected to thanks to the character of Toby. He is a sub, not a slave, and keeps Damon, his Dom, on his toes. The interplay between them is just plain fun and seemed very real to me. This being a Sean Michael book, the sex is scorching and frequent too. The villain from the first book in the series makes a reappearance in this book, so the book is not all lighthearted. Overall, a very fun read.

Book two is a continuation of the first book and we get to see them growing even closer. These two are so hot together. Damon knows exactly what his boy needs. We still don't know who the person that was responsible for the damages in the first book is and they are back in this book. I can't wait to find out who it is and why they are doing the things that they are doing.

Wow, I'm not going to give away any spoilers. But this story was hot. A little kinky, light on the BDSM. Lots of laughter and love. Read book 1 first, it will help it all fall in place. I freaking love this series, can't wait for book 3. Please hurry Sean Michaels

This is the second time I’ve read the Beer & Clay series. It’s classic Sean Michael. If you like sexy M/M BDSM with lots of sexy and not much plot this series fills the bill.

This is book two of the Beer and Clay series and has to be read in order.
I loved this book, the sex, the drama, the building of the relationship. What a great mix. We are still focused on Toby and Damon and the brand new relationship as well as the drama that just happened at the bar. Damon is still trying to get Toby out of his shell and it’s interesting to watch the process. We are also introduced to a couple of new characters that hopefully we’ll get their own books. The chemistry in and out of the bed room for these two is amazing. Some of the best this author has ever written. What I’m enjoying the most is, both want a D/s relationship but because Toby has never been in one Damon is introducing Toby to it slowly. Unlike most D/s books I’ve read we’re the people just jump in regardless. Can’t wait to read the next installment.

In book #2 is how Damon and Toby continue there relationship. They are trying to find that balance between work and being together. This also had a ton of hot sex scenes which are described very well. I would like to see a bit more storyline between them. I do hope that will be coming in book #3.

The second installment of Toby and Damon, and just as overdone as the first. They're hot for each other, to the point of obsession. And they're also obsessed with butt plugs all.the.time. Give Toby's poor ass a rest! Porn without plot, basically.

Toby and Damon are settling in and finding what works for them. An attack leads to more to sort through. We get to see the strength of their feelings for each other. Also, can't wait to see more from the new couple we are introduced to.
