Bloom is a sweet and tender collection of thoughts that reads less like a book and more like a comforting friend on tough days. In a world full of hurry, hustle and perfectionism, Aisha Sharma’s assertion is that growth can be soft, healing can be non-linear and you don’t have to earn your worth by hustling all the time. The themes addressed in this book include self-love, emotional healing, boundaries, loneliness, resilience and inner trust through reflective prose, poetic observations, affirmations and personal insights. The warmth and sincerity of Bloom creates an appealing atmosphere. The writing is simple yet emotional, showing you complex feelings without turning philosophical or preachy.
Instead of providing a checklist on how to change, the author tells you to get slow and be yourself. Much of the reflection feels like talking to a friend, reassuring, compassionate and deeply relatable. The book constantly reminds us that softness is not weakness and speed is not healing. An aspect of the book that I love is how it is able to voice feelings that many cannot. Even when some themes repeat throughout the collection, the repetition is often that of growth, where it is not wise to presume that a lesson is learned just once. In brief, Bloom makes for a warm and uplifting read, especially for those in the process of self-discovery or emotional healing, or who currently feel uncertain. It’s a book to underline, revisit and always have by your side an acknowledgement that growth does not always mean changing who you are.

Book: Bloom Reflections on strength, Softness and self-love by Anitha Sharma
I’ve always believed the right book finds you at the right time. This one came to me unexpectedly, like a quiet bloom, and it has turned into my favourite read of 2026. I didn’t go in with any expectations, but the way it spoke to me felt almost personal, like it was saying exactly what I needed to hear. I was low when I picked it up, and somewhere in its pages I found comfort. It reminded me that slowing down isn’t wrong, that taking time to just be yourself is not a weakness. Sometimes you just need someone or something to tell you it’s okay to not have everything figured out, it’s okay if you haven’t reached the destination yet. This book gave me that reassurance. It felt like a gentle voice saying, “You’re seen. You’re allowed to move at your own pace.” And that’s why it means so much to me. If you’re feeling low, if you’re moving slowly, and if you need a little motivation or a reminder that it’s okay to be where you are, this book might be exactly what you need.
My Favourites
1. Softness is a Revolution
2. Love in its tender disguise
3. To the version we used to shrink to
4. The myth of being too much
5. The quiet strength in boundaries
6. Control dressed as concern
7. You didn't turn bitter- That's the Triumph.
