Everyone was kind of getting on my nerves. Selma was annoyingly annoying and I’m glad Hood put spoke his feelings about her leaving after they had sex. Also stand for something but gahlee it gets to a point .. you broke .. and pregnant .. chile let this man be there for you & YALL child. You wanted Bentley to do more so why it’s a problem now that you getting what you wanted. Say say .. you communicate about everything else why not just say what it was with jimmy and your reasoning when asked. You demand everything right then and there from Shah. I feel like a lot of things was contradicting. Also, for Hood to be so smart i found it a little odd he didn’t put two and two together. I thought this was going to be the last book to this series.

I knew Nicole was a fed...
That man let her ruin his life and she was the opp the whole time. Like he literally stopped living and everything 🙄. Shnelle worked all the nerves I had, repeating herself and her insecure thoughts when he had shown her he was literally all in. My biggest pet peeve with these kinds of stories is when the main FMC is down on her luck but never wants anyone to help her when she cant help herself. Like wouldnt you rather be crying in a penthouse than in the snooty fox sis?! Make it make sense, and let the rich man help you!

Book was good but it was too short for my liking. Some parts felt dragged out and others felt too fast. I don’t really have a favorite character in this book but I don’t hate a character either. Just feels like something is missing.

Let me say that I love Shakeer & Shnelle together🥰. Though the way the met wasn’t ideal, the chemistry is there and very much real. The way neither really knew how to handle was the cutest🤭. Both being hurt in an unmanageable way had them protecting themselves. One thing for sure, the pressure that Hood was giving was top tier. He didn’t play no game with anyone he love and now didn’t play when it came to Shnelle & his unborn child🥰. Listen when a threat is presented everyone and everything around him is under lock and key. With everything that’s going on, the connection between them only became closer and real🤭. I loved when they finally stopped play and expressed their feelings, especially Shnelle. My girl was in denial like no other but I’m so glad she finally accepted what it is🥹. Once they finally got out together and actioning somewhat right, the chemistry behind closed door was definitely top tier🌶️🌶️🌶️.
Now as for Selma & Shakille, these two are slightly toxic to each other but at the same time it can be just a misunderstanding of each other😔. See when get involved thinking clearly can become complicated. Ya boy has a lot to handle when it comes to Janiya mama. Had ole girl came to my job acting out, I would have to play bop it with her🤣. Selma nor Janiya should be subjected to her shenanigans. See everyone has a past and when Selma past surfaced, Shakille went about it the wrong way. Instead of listening and communicating he reacted just as a 🥷🏽 would. Now ya boy is butt hurt and in his feelings.
I have to admit book 2 was everything I needed. It was full of action and truth. Oh but that ending, I just knew ole girl was the ops. Once he mention her mom use to work with the feds, I assume Nicole did too cause why would she disappear out of no where. I feel she left cause she got too deep in them feelings but time will tell. Ready for book 3.

It was okay.
The first half was okay but it did pick up better at 50% and I did really enjoy the last few chapters
I thought the way the first book ended that that was gonna be Nicole and not her mama
Soon as Shakeer went through that phone and seen Agent Nikki already knew it was Nicole. I don’t know why he didn’t think of her first. Especially since he knew she used to be law-enforcement( wasn’t mentioned in the first book tho) and she just dipped on him out of nowhere.
Usually when there is two couples in a book. I only root for one, but my girl Jazz E will have me liking both couples even though they both be erking my nerves

I love me some Selma!!!…She stood on business and dropped that card and gave Shakille her WHOLE ASH!!!…She said find something safe to do!!!…Dont judge me when you do t know my story!!!…
Shnelle’s momma is getting on my nerves, because you are using your baby for a paycheck while you spend money like you don’t have bills!!!…Yep, you about to lose your house!!!…
I’m glad cousin is in rehab, because that could have been horrible!!!…
Shakeer said I knew it was going to happen, but this ain’t the time and some things are about to shift because my life is finally coming full circle!!!…

Wow that ending!!!
Ok, I’m sorry I have to start from the beginning, I think the author forgot that Shnell and Mrs. Diamond met in book one at her house, so that was off putting. Also the timeline of Shnell’s pregnancy because if she found out at 2 months and then you’re saying 3 months later that makes her 5 months pregnant. Other than that it was a good storyline. I’m mad Shay Shay didn’t tell Shah about her past as soon as she saw old boy so she could have prevented that outcome. Please in book 3 make Shnell have some type of backbone.

This series is gonna be so lit. My girls had gotten their men. But stuff just wanna keep happening to tear them apart. I hope the ghost from the past and her momma gets what’s coming to them. And I hope my boy gets outta this mess. U did good on yet another book and I’m looking forward to reading more of them. Sitting here patting my feet while sipping on Pepsi and while eating popcorn while waiting on the next book to read.

This series is stressing me out. Not to say the plot isn’t there because there are some good twists but this is a slow burn. Shakeer and Shnelle not on the same page til over 50% in. Then right after they’re beefing. I also don’t like how guilt sometimes leads his relationship with her due to Nicole. Both couples need better communication and to tighten up. This is full of drama and suspense. Nobody is safe. Ends on a cliffhanger.

Wow! Couldn't Put It Down
This book had me hooked from the very beginning. The drama, twists, and emotions kept me turning the pages. The characters were interesting, and the storyline kept me wanting more. If you enjoy urban fiction with romance, suspense, and plenty of surprises, I definitely recommend this book. I gave it 5 stars because it was entertaining from start to finish and left me excited for what happens next.

That ended?? I knew who was going to show up as soon as I saw that text message! Now I can't wait to see what book 3 brings because it's about to be a showdown for real. I enjoyed the pacing, and the storyline was consistent and kept me engaged. The Diamond brothers, and they women, better buckle up, it's about to be a bumpy ride.

Both the brothers are dummies. Hood was so blinded by Nicole and their fake love he missed all the signs. I was so tired of hearing about her in the first book.
Shah just got 1 side of a story and ran with it. He was lowkey looking for something to push Selma away. He got it.

I felt like I knew the characters, the drama was to another level,
I knew someone just like Shaquille and Shaqueer, maybe not as rich but similar in character, I also am a teacher just like the ladies in the book , I definitely can relate to loving and caring for your students the way Selma cares for Janiya.
A very interesting book right up my alley.

A MUST READ SERIES!!!
