I picked this up in a used book store to read while waiting for the kids in guitar and dance class and after the second week of class I had to take it in and finish it. A note to friends and family it is science fiction/fantasy. I liked the idea of the story and how the story unfolded, but I really enjoyed the characters. She, KD Wentworth, created some wonderful characters from humans to alien beings that are trying to save the planet. Haemas is the main character of the book and has a strong personality even though she is in constant trouble and she is trying to discover herself, her talents and her purpose in being.

Very cool book! I was completely thrown-off by the mute heroine and the mystery behind her father's possible death. The world in Moonspeaker is pretty unique and makes me curious as to what the future of the human race may actually become. I was not aware that this was a series, though, so now I have to hunt it down and read the whole thing!

I've always enjoyed the Andre Norton books for their mental powers, and this book was right up there in the same vein. I really enjoyed this one, and will read the rest in the series as well, this is a very well written story, and one I wish to explore further.

Amusing fantasy! Well-written and thoughtful. Definitely worth the break from the vampire books I have been reading lately. =)

Liked the book, a little slow, but am looking forward to the second book in this series I somehow missed!
