The preview doesn't show much, but there are plenty of full color illustrations throughout. The poster that's included is pretty small which means the hundreds of dinos on it are really teeny and you have to be up close to read the names. I hoped it would have more about the Mosasaur since that was my favorite one in Jurassic World, but it is hardly mentioned. The book is great but doesn't have much to do with the Jurassic World film.

I thought this book was absolutely great. First of all, I love Jurassic World and all the Jurassic Park movies. I also love paleontology in general. Last year, I learned about geologic time, and I can happily state that the Mesozoic is my favorite era. Rereading about Pangaea and all that dino-goodness made me really like this field guide. I mean, it even explains why dinosaurs are popular (isn't that so cool?)! It includes geologic time, what Pangaea looked like during the different eras, paleobotany, how to legally dig up a dinosaur yourself, how dinosaurs are classified and named, drawing dinosaurs, and a miniature encyclopedia of most major species of dinosaurs, marine reptiles, archosaurs, & pterosaurs. I also really love the intricate illustrations in the book. I now know so much more than I thought I would because of this book. I especially love the poster the book came with. There are so many cool things to learn about these guys. I absolutely loved it, and I recommend it to dinosaur fanatics and Jurassic Park lovers.
