I've seen this book everywhere lately, and what can I say — I'm a total sucker for forbidden and tattoos, so here I am 😏🖤
This is the story of Scott and Killian, who've known each other since Scott was 10 and moved into Killian's family after his parents died. When Scott finally meets a guy who's also interested in him, he falls head over heels — and no one can convince him that this a$$hole is anything but toxic 🙄
Killian stepped up when his best friend's parents died, taking care of his younger brother since his friend was lost in his own grief. A new MM romance by Harley? Say no more. I loved Killian he was such a great character a tattoo artist and a cage fighter? I mean what's not to love? I did find I wanted to shake Scott for some of his choices and Derren needed to get in the bin before I throat punched him. There was some great spice and some emotional moments thrown in. I really enjoyed this book and I can't wait for more.

This book was so fucking bad first of all he just kept going back between the two guys and couldn’t make his mind up and he played stupid all the time it was annoying but overall it was just a weird book and I didn’t like it

This is the first book by Harley that I have read and I must say I loved every second of it, I genuinely could not put it down.
This is a perfect LGBTQ+ story for people who love a spicy book between friends.
This book does have some hard hitting scenes where abuse is very much the focal feature of the scene so please do be mindful when reading if you are not in a good headspace.
If I could I would give it a 10/10 😍

Sinceramente era iniziato anche bene, interessanti i due personaggi e poi all’improvviso il caos…
Killian è quello che mi fa mettere due stelle invece che una solo perché quanto meno è un personaggio coerente per tutto il libro, oltre che molto affascinante e carismatico. Nonostante possa essere superficiale a livello emotivo con gli estranei alla sua famiglia invece, da tutto quello che può e anche di più.
Non da più di quanto non ti prometta, parlando delle sue avventure di una notte con le persone intendo.
Ha a cuore Scott e ci sta che non lo veda inizialmente come un interesse amoroso, era lui un ragazzino e un bambino l’altro quando ha iniziato a prendersene cura. Non può essere immediato il riconoscimento che l’amore che provi per un amico, in questo caso quasi un fratellino, che è mutato in un amore più maturo.
Scott… non so com’è che un personaggio inizialmente carino e intelligente sia diventato così ottuso e fissativo, non c’è modo che uno gli dica qualcosa e lo ascolti.

L’unica piccola leva di ragione che ha Scott gliela do quando si risveglia dopo il rapporto con Killian ed è solo, senza nessun biglietto e ci sta che pensi che era solo sesso ma se la tua migliore amica ti dice parla con lui, non prendere le tue conclusioni da solo e no, testardo non vuole.
Poi Killian al telefono gli spiega che era andato a prendere la colazione, ma ascolta? Ovviamente no.
La sua idea fantastica è che Derren sia quello giusto. Ma da dove? Cosa ti ha dato questo ragazzo in poche settimane per farti dire “no meglio lui del tizio che mi è sempre stato vicino”. Senza contare tutte le cose che fa eppure lo giustifica in ogni modo, pure per la questione del tatuaggio. BAH.
Mi dispiace ma proprio no.
Non riesco ad apprezzarla come coppia dopo tutto quello che è successo. Nè dici che con Derren o come si scrive il suo nome c’era una conoscenza di mesi e mesi per cui questa scelta volutamente forzata di Scott, perché si capisce che ama Killian ma si fissa che non vale la pena stare con lui, la si possa giustificare e far passare come dipendenza emotiva da un compagno ab*satore.
Poi gusto persole, se agli altri piace buon per loro ma per me è un No.

DNF at 47%.
I genuinely tried, but I couldn't take another page of this.
The writing feels incredibly immature and amateurish, like something written by a teenager who hasn't quite found their voice yet. And unfortunately, the characters aren't any better.
Scott drove me absolutely insane. He's not just annoying—he feels like a caricature. His personality is so exaggerated and juvenile that I couldn't take him seriously as an adult character at all. Half the time I was reading his dialogue wondering how an actual grown man was supposed to be saying any of this. He's also painfully stupid at times, which made it even harder for me to understand what the other MC supposedly finds so irresistible about him.
And then we have a thirty-two-year-old man who's apparently supposed to be this incredibly hot, desirable guy... except he comes across like he's sixteen. I kept being reminded of his actual age because absolutely nothing about his characterization made me believe it.
And then there were all those sex scenes at the beginning with the MCs hooking up with other people. I wouldn't have minded if they had actually served a purpose, but they felt completely random and unnecessary, like they were thrown in just for the sake of having sex on the page. They added absolutely nothing to the characters or the story, and honestly, I found most of them ridiculous rather than sexy. After a while, I was just wondering what the point was.
But my biggest problem is that neither of them feels like a real, three-dimensional person. They have no depth, no convincing personalities, and absolutely no chemistry together. I never understood *why* these two people were attracted to each other beyond the fact that the author clearly needed them to be.
By 47%, I was still waiting for the characters to develop some depth or for their relationship to give me literally anything to care about. Instead, the whole thing just kept getting more ridiculous and more cringe.
I finally gave up. The secondhand embarrassment won.

Right from the very first chapter, Bound by Ink had me in a complete chokehold. If I ever meet someone who looks like Killian, I might just have to use his introduction as my own because... DAYM! 🥵 An MMA fighter and a tattoo artist? Harley Raige knew exactly what she was doing. Spicy, dark, and just a little dangerous—my kind of book.
Killian's antics nearly got me caught reading at work more than once. There are a few lines that definitely aren't safe to share as favourite quotes... although I did have to message Harley after reading one because I simply couldn't keep it to myself!
Then there's Scott. Sweet, kind, and all he wants is to be loved. Watching his story unfold was everything I hoped for and so much more. When these two finally got what they deserved, I was completely invested.
Just when you think you've got everything figured out, Harley throws in twists that leave your heart in your throat and tears in your eyes. This wasn't just spice—it had emotion, suspense, and moments that genuinely caught me off guard.
Reading this at my desk at work was definitely a risk I was willing to take. Thankfully, I must have the world's best poker face!
Best friend's little brother has officially climbed the ranks to become one of my favourite tropes, and this book reminded me exactly why.
And the spice? Oh... this book delivers ALL. THE. SPICE. 🌶️🌶️🌶️

He's great at what he does, but does it alone. Theres no chance of a relationship with either male or female for him. He's a love em and leave em kinda guy.
That is until his best friends little brother, Scott, starts getting into some predicaments with Derren, who Scott is convinced is the love of his life. WHY?? Scott is way to sweet to be anywhere near this guy! But, Scott, has Steven, his brother and Killian at his back, and he eventually sees the light, thank goodness!
Theres a lot of sex in this book! Good sex, bad sex, rapey sex, sweet loving sex, its everywhere! There is also a near rape scene, so be prepared.
Killian is a great friend, and 'brother' as is Steven, they are always there for Scott, (who can be a tad naive at times) and each other. I did want to scream at Scott on occasion, because of his naivety, or just shake him to wake him up.
Theres a lot to be learned from this book, right up to the HEA.
So, who's up next? And will we see Derren get what he deserves? I hope so.

Bound By Ink was an addictive read that delivered a nice mix of romance, spice, and emotional moments, with just enough heartbreak to keep me fully invested. The characters were developed enough that allowed for a good connection with the reader.
That said, there were a few things that stopped this from being a full five-star read for me. The pet name was used so often that it became distracting, and I noticed quite a bit of repetition throughout the story. Scott's insecurities, while understandable, seemed to drag on for too many chapters. The constant need for reassurance became a little frustrating after a while, and I found myself wishing that aspect of his character had progressed sooner. I also felt the happily ever after went on a bit longer than it needed to.
Overall, though, this was an emotional, steamy, and engaging romance that kept me turning the pages. Despite a few repetitive elements, I thoroughly enjoyed the journey and would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves a heartfelt MM romance with plenty of spice.

This book is 🥵 and if you don’t fall in love with Killian and Scott then you’re not reading the same book lol. This is a MM romance so if that’s not your cup of tea give this book a miss. Harley has given us not one swoon worthy bloke to obsess over but two. Killian is the mega sexy rough round the edges tattooed God who not only owns the tattoo shop but does MMA fighting too and Scott is nerdy sexy younger brother of his best friend. Normally I would be like what the fcuk are these two doing together it doesn’t work but OH MY GOD these two are meant for each other from start to finish. Not only that but we get a villain that you will want to punch 🤜 and come join the ‘we hate Derren’ fan club - yes I will make a club 😂

When Harley said she was going to be writing a new MM romance, I said "bring it on baby!" Boy did she bloody deliver.
This read had me absolutely wanting to knock some sense into some characters, then give them bits hugs, and others, I wanted fucking punch others.
A one sit read for me. I could not take a break with this story. I had to make sure shit got delt with and needed the HEA badly. This was a very heavy book emotionally due to certain aspects of the story, so read the darn TW. Harley doesn't gloss over things and pretty up shit, which is a big reason I love her work.
I loved Scott and Killian. Scott was such a sweetheart with a soft heart, and totally frustrating at times. Killian and his protector mode won me over from the get go. He had the patience of a saint!
Harley once again has given us another great story, with the most heart melting mmc's. Now, where do we find ourselves a Killians in the real world????
This is another hit by Harley and I feel so lucky she graced me with an arc of BBI.

Well what we discover here, is that Harley is highly skilled author who knows how to create characters that you'd love to love (hero), love to hate (villain) and love to take care of (enter naive love interest).
Our hero Killian is a cage fighter and amazing tattoo artist, the object of desire and protector of his best friends little brother. Scott bless him, portrays a young man who longs to be loved but unfortunately can not recognise that he's being treated poorly by the villain of the piece - Derren, which effectively he was settling for as he didn't think he could ever be in Killian's orbit
Needless to say this was a very well written and captures the feelings of someone on the end of narcissistic abuse perfectly.
There's lots of spice, cage fighting that make you feel ring side and typical "Harley cleverness" to keep you turning the pages!

I absolutely loved this story and the relationship between both Killian and Scott was an interesting mix of fighting feelings and falling face first into them!
Reading Scott struggle to fight his feelings for Killian whilst trying to fix a relationship was difficult to read having been in a similar situation it was an emotional read for me.
Killian being the big softie for Scott was beautiful to read him going from only one night to needing that one person.
These two were made for one another and although it seems right person wrong time Scott needed that safe space he has with Killian!
The story was beautiful and in place hard to read but very well felt with! I can’t wait to read what comes next

This book is so sweet! Yes theres trauma, yes theres miscommunication and yes theres questionable decisions but overall its a cute book.
fair warning this is hot as hell!!!!
killian is an amazing MMC, hes the big tough guy with a heart of gold, so protective and thoughtful.
I hope everyone finds their killian.
scott is the nerdy, naive and innocent cutie that just wants to be wanted and loved. I did want to give his head a wobble with some of the decisions he made and the things he put up with but it definitely added to the story.
derren? I just wanted to punch and thats enough said about him!

What can I say except Harley Raige has done it again, she's pulled another corker of a book. I really enjoyed reading this story and can't wait to get my paperback copy.
I love how Harley writes, she creates characters that are realistic and the storyline just pulls you in. Killian - I loved everything about his character, Darren.. well what a dickhead, with that name it's not surprising and Scott what a cinnamon bun he is, he was a great character too and I loved the dynamics between him and Killian.
The spice levels in this novel is hot! And I'm here for it all! I love how it's incorporated into the storyline with the romance aspect and it works so well, it's not just thrown in.
A great read and I can't wait to read more.

What can I say except this is another amazing read from Harley Raige. At this point I might as well dust off my pom pom's and dub myself her personal cheerleader!

I really wanted to like this book, the premises was everything I love in MM romance. But...bot of the main characters were juvenile and not likeable at all and felt very one dimensional.
To me this was a very frustrating read. I had to really make an effort to finish this. There were just so many things that were off to me.
Scott made me want to pull my hair out and scream in frustration and Killian had no balls whatsoever.
I considered DNFing at 40% and then again at 60%. I skimmed through the last 20% because the ending just kept dragging along. The spice with random hookups didn't add any value, and the spice scenes were all so similar (and too many) to each other that when Scott and Killian finally got to it, it was almost whatever.
To me this was a very frustrating read. I had to really make an effort to finish this. There were just so many things that were off to me.

I was very excited to get an early copy, and for the most part, Bound by Ink delivers. It's spicy, gripping, and Killian is the ultimate protector. The spice is abundant, and there are some incredibly emotional moments I thoroughly enjoyed. However, the disconnect comes with Darren and how many times Scott took him back or tried to make things work. It got to a point where I found it repetitive, toxic, and detractor from the story. Also, all the intimacy between characters outside the main MMCS wasn't a hit for me. Overall, it's not a bad read but I do think I would have liked more Killian/Scott moments versus dealing with Darren's abusive behavior.

I received an ARC and had no idea what to expect, but this is easily one of my top 5 reads of 2026! Killian is an MMA fighter/tattoo artist with a heart of gold, and Scott is a relatable nerd guarding his heart whilst dealing with a toxic “boyfriend”. Their chemistry is absolute fire once they finally click. It's an emotional, steamy journey of self-discovery and realising what is truly important in life... Warning: keep the tissues handy, because it’s not for the faint of heart. Highly recommended to all who love dark M/M erotica.

What an emotional rollercoaster 😩 Derren is one of those characters you genuinely love to hate—he had my blood boiling every time he appeared.
Scott's naivety was heartbreaking because all he really wanted was to be loved, and that made it impossible not to root for him. Then there's Killian... absolutely no airs and graces, just unapologetically himself. Honest, loving, fiercely protective, and exactly what Scott needed—even if the miscommunication between them had me wanting to shake them both! 🤣

Hmm I liked it but....
So this had loads of potential but theres loads of sex scenes with the MC with other people (before there official) which is not my thing at all at the start is fine. I dont want to write any spoilers but some of the conversations between them were just frustrating. Scott was himself so frustrating lol i feel like that cant be how people are in real life surely but i guess if your self esteem is really that low?! I dont know when they get their act together it's good but its long winded and could of been resolved so much faster. There are good points- killer himself was a good MC the possessiveness was a big pro.

I hate how the new mm romance books all have that “your mine” thing and take it too far. When the main character first had sex there was no prep, no nothing just straight penetration. I’m a lesbian and it seems I have more common sense when it comes to male sex than whatever these authors have.
Oh the worst part of all. The the story starts with one of the main characters having sex with a guy who quite clearly doesn’t care about him and uses him for sex. Well I couldn’t tell the difference between how they have sex and how he has sex with the love interest.
I’m all for dark romance. THIS IS GLORIFIED RAPE!

This was my first read by this authour but a MM romance involving an age gap and a protective alpha male always makes me giddy. Killian is an angry MMA tattoo artist who has been taking care of his best friends little brother basically since birth. Scott is a brainiac, by book standards, but so so young and naive. He gets mixed up in a bad abusive relationship and Killian can't stand by any longer watching it go down and without acknowledging his feelings.
After all the angst and hate I was throwing Derrin's way, it turned out to be a very sweet love story and I absolutely adored Killian.

Bound by Ink, it’s a MM brother’s best friend with a 12yr age gap.
I enjoyed the book. There was banter between the MC’s and the brother. Meaning there was the found family aspect. That plus the loyalty to each other was amazing. Scott has a thing for Killian and goes a different route. Things don’t go well yet Killian was always there for him and willing to comfort Scott. An enjoyable part was when Killian realized Scott was for him and his way of proving himself. The Nerd x jock-ish guy was strong and the power play that came with it! Xx They definitely got the outcome they deserved. Hopefully we get more in the universe.

A really great story
Wow. This book is really good. I was hooked from the beginning and couldn’t put it down. There is so much in this book that you have no choice but to keep reading.
Scott & Killian story will take you on a journey. Their story isn’t the greatest when it first starts out but you can feel the protector in Killian when it comes to Scott. Scott is too kind hearted and that gets him in situations that he doesn’t see coming. When Scott needs someone he knows who to call until he thinks he screwed it all up.
These two have a lot to work through and realize. Let me just say when it finally clicks, these two are fire.
This will be a reread for me.
