Is love ever really a choice?

Sophie Waters has always thought love was a choice you had to make, and for her, she has never been chosen. Seven months after ending her engagement, she is barely keeping herself afloat. She’s fianceless, owns her exes family’s failing restaurant, and attempting to keep her life from crumbling into shambles.

She’s spent her entire life feeling out of control, forcing love that’s not reciprocated, trying to fix broken people, broken families, and broken relationships. It’s how she lost herself in the first place. So when Noah and a teenage Liz move in next door with more baggage than moving boxes, Sophie promises herself she’ll steer clear of them.

That is until Liz gets a job at Sophie’s restaurant, and suddenly Sophie finds herself tangled in Noah and Liz’s world, wanting to be the role model for young Liz that Sophie never had for herself.

But when helping Liz finds Sophie growing closer and closer to Noah, she vows not to get in the middle of their relationship. The closer she grows to them, the more terrified she becomes of what she’s always feared standing between two people who already belong to each other.

As Sophie begins to pull back from them, she has to decide whether keeping her distance is protecting them, or simply another way of refusing to be loved. For the first time in her life, Sophie is forced to ask herself whether love is something that must be earned-or whether she has deserved it all along.

It Could Be Us is a story of deep connection, discovering your worth, and the love that comes in various different forms. Sometimes the hardest thing is believing you are worthy of it in the first place.

Thank you to the author for the ARC! 💜

WOW, yall! I don't even know how to express how amazing this book was. Sophie and Noah's story was definitely a hard read at times, but I devoured it in only one sitting. Going into It Could Be Us, I was not expecting just how much I would relate and feel for both Sophie and Liz's characters. It was a lot. I was emotional. If we're being real here, I SOBBED 😭!!! This book was so emotionally heavy at times, and I was left with so many thoughts by the end of it. One thing I heavily enjoyed was the growing family dynamic between Sophie, Noah, and Liz. Every single one of them deserves the world, and I'm glad that they were able to find that solace in one another. Ugh, ICBU was SO FREAKING GOOD 🙏! Anna Lynn writes stories that are raw, emotional, heartfelt, and filled with characters that you want to wrap up in the biggest hug. Do you enjoy all of that in a romance format? If so, i would 1000% percent recommend the Us series to you! Seriously, both books are phenomenal!<3

Thank you Anna for trusting me with this ARC copy of It Could Be Us, book two in The US Series! I fell in love with Anna’s writing from the moment I read her first book. This story between Sophie, Noah, and Liz was so beautiful and meaningful, especially considering I didn’t even like Sophie in the first book. I was annoyed that she was coming in between Addie and Jackson, but now we know her full story and I love Sophie so much we must protect her at all costs!!!

The chemistry between Sophie and Noah was so beautifully written and of course the song choices in the book are SO PERFECT for every scene. I found myself adding every song mentioned into my Spotify playlist. (Also adding Noah to my list of book boyfriends cause how perfect is he and his slutty little glasses??? HELLO!?)

Love, love, love this series and I can’t wait to read about Liz and Andy’s story in the next book!!!

THIS BOOK DESERVES ALL THE STARS AND MORE. 😭❤️‍🩹

Thank you, Anna Lynn, for letting me ARC read this book. I am forever grateful because this book, THIS SERIES, means absolutely everything to me. Anna, you broke my heart all over again, and I would let you do it a thousand times over.

I need this book injected into my veins. Immediately!

I read this in 24 hours AGAIN because apparently I have zero self-control when it comes to Anna’s books. I genuinely had such a hard time putting it down. There is just SO MUCH LIFE in these characters. Their struggles, their grief, their growth, their love. Anna has this incredible way of writing people who feel so real that you forget you’re reading fiction. She writes grief and life so, so beautifully, and there were moments when I just had to stop and sit with everything I was feeling.

And THE DIALOGUE. THE DIALOGUE!!! I swear I highlighted half the book on my Kindle. The conversations, the little moments, the things left unsaid. Everything just HITS. And the playlist??? ANNA. THE PLAYLIST. PERFECTION. No notes. 🤌🏻

NOAH. MY GOD, NOAH. That man was DOWN BAD. The yearning??? The slow burn??? THE WAY IT SLOWLY BURNED ME ALIVE??? I ate up every single second. And his slutty little glasses??? I AM UNWELL. Someone needs to come get me because I cannot be trusted around fictional men like this.

And Sophie. MY GIRL. ❤️‍🩹 As someone who has struggled with an eating disorder, seeing this part of her story written with so much care and realism meant more to me than I can explain. Anna, you captured something so difficult and personal in a way that gave me actual goosebumps. I felt seen, and I hope other readers who have gone through something similar feel that, too.

There is so much pain in this story, but there is also so much love, hope, healing, and life. And I think that’s what Anna does best. She makes you FEEL EVERYTHING. She makes you fall in love with these characters, root for them, hurt with them, and want nothing more than for them to find their happiness.

I could talk about this book for HOURS. I could scream about these characters forever. And honestly? I am nowhere near ready to let them go.

Anna, thank you for writing these stories and giving us these characters. This series has such a special place in my heart, and I already know I’ll be thinking about this book for a LONG time.

5 stars. All the stars. Every single star in the universe. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Anna, thank you so much for allowing me to read this book early! I think I loved this one even more than the first! The storyline, the angst, the HEAT! Ugh, girl you really delivered!

I wasn't the biggest fan of Sophie in the first book, for obvious reasons, but I loved getting her perspective this time around and seeing her get a chance at redemption and happiness. And Noah and Sophie? The way they had each other to lean on while fighting what they wanted, all while carrying their own hurts and traumas, made their relationship that much more emotional. Sometimes wanting something and allowing yourself to have it are two very different things.

Anna also does an amazing job handling difficult topics, especially addiction, with so much care. Having friends and family who have battled addiction, and some who have tragically lost that battle, made those parts hit especially hard. It's a tough subject, but one that deserves to be talked about, and I appreciated how thoughtfully it was woven into the story.

At its heart, It Could Be Us is about love, self-worth, and learning that you don't have to fix everyone else to be worthy of love yourself. It's also a reminder that loving someone means showing up for them, even when things get messy, and that sometimes the people we lean on are the ones who help us find our way back to ourselves.

Between the angst, the emotional depth, and the way it's all brought together, this one had me invested until the very end!

It Could Be Us is book 2 in The Us Series.

These books are deep, emotional, and heartfelt, tackling difficult topics in such a beautiful and meaningful way. They really make you feel everything.

I couldn’t wait to read this book after binging and adoring What If It Was Us (book 1). It Could Be Us has two of my favorite tropes: found family and slow burn. I loved how the story immediately connected us back to the first book and brought back some of my favorite characters. Getting Sophie’s POV allowed me to connect with her on a deeper level and understand her struggles in a way I couldn’t in book one.

And Noah! I really loved Jackson because of how complex and layered his character was, but Noah brought something equally special to the story. His strength, heart, and the way he shows up for the people he loves made him such a standout character. It was wonderful to see Sophie, Noah, and Liz find the love, support, and sense of family they had all been missing.

I hate to say too much, you just have to read them for yourself!

It Could Be Us was one of my most anticipated reads, and it blew my expectations out of the water. No one writes yearning and tension quite like Anna Lynn. The romance between Sophie and Noah was my absolute favorite. The slowest of slow burns, in the BEST possible way.

For me, this was so much more than a romance story between two people. As much as I loved Noah and Sophie, Liz and Sophie's story was equally important. Friendship through the worst of times, battling different kinds of addiction, growth, and beautiful found family were at the heart of this story. I cried so many times reading what these characters went through.

Anna Lynn you are seriously magical. Your writing hits every emotion, and I can't wait to read more of your work.

Thank you so much for an ARC copy of this book. It is easily one of the best stories I have ever read.

*Note: all topics were handled by this author with care*

My sweet friend Anna has done it yet again 💜 If you're looking for an emotional story with lots of tension, yearning, and found family–look no further than It Could Be Us. After finishing the first book, What If It Was Us, I couldn't help but feel bad for poor Sophie and thought she deserved her own happily ever after (just not with Jackson of course 😉). So when I learned Anna was writing another book in this interconnected series, I was thrilled. This story handled so many serious topics, but in such a careful way. It was super emotional to watch several of these characters battling such difficult addictions/disorders, but also so rewarding to see how they all found their own way back to health 🫶🏼 The found family was truly such a big and important piece of this story (probably more than in a lot of books I've read) and that was so precious to read. I like how Anna used Liz and Sophie's relationship as a way of showing that love stories aren't just solely romantic! Their dynamic was so precious and I love how Sophie became Liz's maternal figure 🫂

As far as the actual romance goes, MAN ANNA PUT US THROUGH THE WRINGER! But it paid off in the end of course. This is a slow burn in every sense of the word, but the tension and yearning is just so good. There were so many quotes I highlighted and scenes that just melted my heart. Like sorry, what do you mean she's gluten free (which side note: LOVED that rep) and he takes the time to make her all of the food allergy free since she couldn't try it at a party? Or baked her three birthday cakes until it was just right? Like that's the level of yearning you guys 😮‍💨 Noah is a green flag!! Sophie definitely got her happy ending 💕

Also, the side characters were so lovely (shoutout to Rami) and I *loved* the character cameos from book 1 🤭 Interconnected standalones are so much fun for this reason!

The biggest thank you to Anna for giving me an advanced copy of this book, it was beautiful and I flew through it as always!! SO PROUD OF YOU!!

✨If you like stories that are fast paced, full of depth, and heavy on the yearning, you will fall in love with this book✨

Thank you Anna Lynn for one of my most anticipated fall reads EVERRRRR!! If you loved What If It Was Us….GET READY!! It Could Be Us is going to get you so good in the feels.

Summary:
Sophie has always been the “other woman,” the one chosen last when it comes to love. Navigating life after her failed engagement to Jackson, she is running herself ragged managing her ex-fiancé’s family restaurant while trying to keep her own head above water. Now, to add even more to her already overflowing plate, she has a handsome new neighbor, Noah, and teenager, Liz, who appear to have even more issues than she does—issues Sophie would rather avoid. But fate has other plans. When Liz starts working at Sophie’s restaurant, the two begin to lean on each other for support, unexpectedly drawing Sophie and Noah closer in the process. These new neighbors are about to test Sophie in more ways than she ever imagined, forcing her to confront the very things she has spent so much of her life trying to avoid.

Thoughts:
•Slowest of slow burns ever!!!! And I loved every slow second of it!! I couldn’t put this book down!! If you need a visual of my face, look up the GIF of the baby holding the board book and reading intently. That was me, racing to see what would happen from chapter to chapter.
•This book has SO much tension, chemistry, and yearning between Noah and Sophie. Watching their relationship progress was beautiful. This made the slow burn so worth it!
•This book hits very differently because there are three main characters, and I don’t know who I loved more!! Sophie, Noah, or Liz!
•I learned that I want my man to make me cookies on the regular.
•My most favorite part of this book…everything Sophie and Liz. Their story and journey is one of the most emotional yet beautiful stories I’ve ever come across. Anna knows how to get you good.
•Like in her book What If It Was Us, Anna ties in so many songs throughout this book, and it adds so much more to the various scenes and characters. Excuse me while I listen to my It Could Be Us playlist now.
•Now the hardest part of reading emotional books like this from this amazing author….I have to wait for her next book and I already know it’s going to be a 5 star book!

IT COULD BE US (ARC) | ★★★★★ | KINDLE

sophie waters isn’t sure where she sits in life anymore. everything that she thought had made sense, no longer does.

she owns part of a restaurant that came from her now ex-fiancé and through it all she’s trying to rebuild herself.

but how can you rebuild yourself when you don’t even know who you are?

when liz and her brother noah move in next door to sophie, they are going to be something sophie never knew she needed. except that liz mirrors the past and noah is a want she never knew she could have.

okay. @annalynnbooks i am suing you for emotional damage. i dont know what you put into this book but good god damnnnn! it was everything and more.

i loved jackson and addie’s story, but sophie and noah have taken my heart. the amount of times i crashed out to anna (she’ll tell you it was a lot). i went through it with this book.

it was gripping, emotional, and such a beautiful journey of finding yourself amongst the darkest moments in life. the yearning was killing my soul so hard, i wanted to smack sophie because she was being a dumb dumb, noah my baby i just wanna hug that man and liz — liz pissed me off A LOT.

but all three of these characters worked so well together, their dynamics and relationships and how they grew into this beautiful little found family was just absolutely everything i needed and more.

if you loved jackson and addie … let me tell you sophie and noah are going to break you.

anna is such a beautiful writing that intertwined so many important struggles and didn’t shy away from the hideousness of the reality of those things. it felt fresh that it wasn’t being sugarcoated, or toned down. it was raw and real, and i think it made the characters and story that much more relatable and poetic.

I’m not even going to lie, I went into this book somewhat knowing what to expect, and yet I still ended up getting torn apart. Like, I’m not even kidding, by chapter three I was already tearing up over Sophie, and then halfway in I was shedding full blown tears over Liz and Noah too.

I just absolutely loved the dynamic that the three of them gradually built throughout the story. But, by far, the relationship between Sophie and Liz had my entire heart and soul. They were it for me, and I just couldn’t get enough. The three of them showed what it means to unconditionally love and accept someone wholeheartedly, and to stay alongside them, even through tough times.

This story was a mix of emotions for me, but one of the things I love about Anna’s books is exactly that. She writes a slow-burn so well that the tension and yearning between Sophie and Noah will literally consume you up until the point they finally get together. But I also love the fact that Anna doesnt shy away from tougher topics.

Not many authors can write about grief, addiction, and eating disorders in a way that resonates with readers to get them to understand what the characters are going through, but Anna did it so well with careful attention and consideration that it makes her stories pact an emotional punch that you will feel down to your core.

That being said, I couldn’t recommend this book more. So consider this my not-so-subtle nudge for you to add this book to your TBR.

Thank you for the arc, Anna.

Love you 😘🫶🏻

Thank you to Author Anna Lynn for the Advanced Reader Copy. 🤍

There's an enormous amount of love between these characters and in these pages, but with that love comes pain, heartbreak, yearning and want that is so palpable, raw and real.

This is a romance book, and a great one at that, however, the relationship that will pull at your heartstrings the most is the relationship between Sophie and Liz. The unwavering love and found family between these two characters will remind you to hug the people in your life that mean the most to you.

But the romance...oh, Noah the man that you are. The quiet yearning. The patience. The little signs and caretaking and acts of service to keep showing Sophie she is worthy of a great love. 10/10!!!!! For those curious, my spice rating for this story is 1.5 🌶️!

Anna does an incredible job of using her words to pull you back and forth between smiling, kicking your feet, and spiking your heart rate to dropping your stomach and making you cry in the span of one paragraph. Trust me, it's in the best way possible and I think that's the part I love the most about this book. In the end my heart was delicately put back together and is now a size bigger because I have three more beautiful characters who will live there forever. 💜

One quote to convince you to read this:

“Make a wish, Sophie,” Noah said as Liz held out the cake for me. I couldn’t think of a single thing to wish for— everything I had ever wanted was standing right in front of me.

Thank you Anna for trusting me with an ARC, I love you so much & never stop writing okay 🩷

To be loved by the wrong person really has an effect on you.

When I read WIIWU I didn’t care for Sophie, her character had a role & it was written well. I did have compassion because I knew what loving the wrong person felt like, what trying to get someone to change for you felt like but I still did not like her lol.

When Anna said book 2 was about Sophie I was in 2 about it, but then we had a chat & I trust Anna’s writing.

Well I also came into the book thinking I might be disappointed in Sophie, but honestly even with the mistakes she made, the shitty decisions she went with knowing that it was the wrong thing I can’t hate her, I don’t hate her, she is my baby & I will protect her. I understood her far too easily to even have judgement, because I still have a bit of Sophie in me when it comes to forming friendships and being loved.

Loving the wrong person really does a number on you, so to then find the right person wether it’s romantic or platonic and still believe you’re not worth of their love is something I really hope not too many people have to go through because it’s a lot.

Anyway, I really loved Sophie’s story, thank you for trusting me to ARC read Anna.

I felt so relatable to Sophie in many ways, but I am glad she grew as a human being and started to realise she was worthy of love.

I may be biased but this book captured my heart & soul. Anna has such a specific and special talent of making you feel every emotion—and as someone who tries to avoid just that, I can’t believe the gauntlet of emotions this book put me through.

Don’t get me wrong I love a good romance but the true love story for me was Liz & Sophie. And on top of watch two people who desperately are looking for someone to choose them find each other, you also get the love of a brother and sister duo.

This book showcases why reading is so fundamental to human evolution. Books like this make you sit with the hardships, the perspective of others, and really makes you listen to how others deal with the life they’re given. I know it’s fictional but as someone who deeply relates to Sophie, I know there are others out there that will see themselves in Liz or Noah.

Also in a sea of romance books that jump right to the physical aspect of a relationship, MAN WAS IT REFRESHING to see actual tension & chemistry be palpable between two characters. I was practically on my hands and knees begging for them to be together.

This book was a ten out of ten for me & I will always be rooting for my Sophie & Noah. (& Liz).

Thank you Anna for the advanced copy & allowing us to see into that beautiful mind of yours. Never stop writing 🩷

Anna!!! Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to read an ARC of It Could Be Us. You are truly an incredible writer, and I absolutely loved experiencing Sophie's story. Her love story with Noah was just beautiful - Noah is such a good guy, and damn, those glasses are so hot! Liz was a wonderful addition to Sophie's story because her existence forced Sophie to confront the things that haunted her the most, and both women were able to grow as a result of knowing each other, and that was so heartwarming. The yearning and tension was cultivated perfectly throughout the story, and I was wanting to scream at Noah and Sophie to just kiss already because they were so adorable. I think what honestly resonated with me the most about this story was how much of myself I saw in Sophie. It's obvious the Sophie is a people-pleaser who always feels like she's in the way even when she's doing everything right. Her desire for love is so unbelievably authentic, and her struggles with her eating disorder made her that much more real to me. I loved her character because she made me feel less alone. Thank you for writing such a beautiful book - I know so many people like me will feel seen - and I am beyond proud of you! You are an inspiration!

First and foremost, thank you Anna Lynn for entrusting me with this ARC read. All thoughts are my own ♥️ If you haven’t read Anna’s work yet, go catch up with What If It Was Us and come back to me. She’s a naturally gifted storyteller.

We meet Sophie, our FMC, in book one and she almost reads as the villain, but she’s really just a girl who ended up with the wrong guy at the wrong time. In her story we find out why she is the way she is and why she’s willing to accept crumbs when she deserves the whole cake.

Sophie’s life is turned upside down when Noah (MMC) and Liz (his little sister) move next door. Following the loss of their mom, Liz is struggling with addiction and Noah is struggling to care for her. Very quickly their lives become deeply entangled with Sophie’s.

While the story leaned more literary fiction than romance, at it is core was a love story. Love between friends, love between family, and the love where you are someone’s number one person. The slow burn though - you’re going to be screaming, “just kiss already!”

If you want to feel deeply moved by a book, I will always recommend Anna Lynn!

I could rave about this author and her books for days. This story is wonderful in every heartbreaking way. I would recommend this to fans of The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Looking for Alaska, All the Bright Places, or The Spectacular Now (extra recommendation for people who love those books but want a love story to be at the heart of the plot.

This book reminds us all that we are works in progress who need the love and support of others to help us fight our darkest battles. It's a sign that we are not our pasts and that we've always got room to grow for the sake of our own health and wellness.

Also, Noah as the mmc in this is just pure chef's kiss. He's patient and caring and understanding and swoony and and and and. He's perfect and is exactly what Sophie needs. It's so rewarding watching them find they way to each other through all of life's curveballs and setbacks (both internal and external).

Even if you haven't read the first book in the series, the characters and plot are still totally accessible (so feel free to start here and then read What If It Was Us afterwards if your heart so desires)!

WOW where do I even start?? First and foremost thank you so much Anna for allowing me to read this story before the world, is was an honor and joy, not always, but it was 100% worth it. Okay while this is the 2 in a series, I do feel you can read it without the first (I don’t recommend)

Here we get the story of Sophie, who we originally met in book one, as she is trying to pick her life back up after the fall out of WIIWU. Side note-I have to say I loved how we see that last scene again but Sophie’s perspective.

While going through all the things, Sophie happens to find herself with a new and very attractive neighbor Noah and his teenage angst sister Liz, who too are going through it as well. And while this is a love story, it is Sophie and Liz’s story that moved me to tears, more than one occasion.

Yes this is all vague, but that’s because I don’t want to spoil anything. I want you to read this and message me as you do, because let me tell you, you are about to feel it all. Trust me; I was messaging Anna the whole time!

Okay, while I could go on forever, set your alarm for when this is available in October. Or just preorder it like I did.

~ARC Review~

It Could Be Us is Anna Lynn’s second book in The Us Series. I was over the moon excited to get an arc for this one, since her first book What If It Was Us was a true five star read for me. I still think about the characters she created. I couldn’t wait to jump into this book and it exceeded my expectations!

✿ slow burn
✿ tension and yearning
✿ neighbours & dislike to lovers
✿ he falls first
✿ found family
✿ emotional healing & caretaker

I didn’t want this to one end and I lost track of the amount of times I smiled and then had tears in my eyes. What a truly heartfelt and beautifully emotional story.

Noah is the biggest green flag and Sophie and Noah truly deserved to find each other and be loved. The characters Anna Lynn creates are ones that stay with you long after finishing their story. They are characters you deeply care about and root for. This was so much more than just a love story.

If you haven’t read What If It Was Us, read that first and then immediately read this one! And then try your best to patiently wait for her next book- It Should Be Us

It Could Be Us comes out on October 27th!

**ARC Review**

This second book in The Us Series by Anna Lynn is really special to me. I met Sophie in the first book and wasn’t a huge fan. Let me tell you— if I could apologize to a book character— I would start with her. Sophie is one tough cookie. Like one of those that are super hard on the outside, but perfect and soft on the inside. I connected with her and I rooted for her to truly love and be loved.
Noah and Liz enter her life and while they add a lot of high emotions and tough moments, they add so much love. I love Noah for Sophie and just Noah himself, but Liz? Her relationship with Sophie is the greatest non romantic love story that I have ever read.
I also never thought that Anna could possibly write someone for me to love more than or close to how much I loved Addie from the first book, but then she wrote Liz and proved me wrong. Thanks for the tears.
I’ll stop at that before I give away the whole book. Preorder your copy and get ready to fall in love with Sophie, Noah , and Liz on October 27th.

I do recommend checking your triggers.

Anna has once again written a beautiful story that tugs on all the right heartstrings.
We all fell in love with Jackson in book 1 and I was interested to see how he would be portrayed as the “villian” of Sophie’s story and it was perfect! Even Sophie’s acknowledgment of who Addie was/is to him, brilliant ✨

Sophie and Noah’s story was everything I’d hoped it would be and more, add in Liz and I was done for. So many varying relationships were explored and each was given to absolute care it deserved. Be that parents, siblings, romantic relationships and even workplace friendships.
The prickly woman being won over by the gentle, caring man next door never gets old. I think we can all see a little bit of ourselves in Sophie one way or another, she is the perfect reminder that you can’t be everything for everyone unless you take the time to care for yourself too!

I cannot wait to see what’s coming next ❤️

I truly didn’t think I would like this book as much as her first book, What If It Was Us, (bc how could it get better?) but boy, was I wrong.

ANNA. Your writing just keeps getting better. 🥹

This book made me cry, made me laugh, and made me feel like maybe everything we go through leads us to something else and sometimes, that something can be even better than we ever could have expected.

At its core, this is a story about grief. And while grief is such a heavy topic, Anna filled this book with so much love, hope, and heart.

The characters are EVERYTHING. She somehow took a character I couldn’t stand and turned her into such a real lovable person. The relationships are real and beautifully complex. They have so much depth I feel like I know them personally and I love them all. Liz? I have no words she is my baby can do no wrong.

Anyway Just read it. You won’t regret it.

Anna, I will read anything you write. You never miss. 🖤📖

I received an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

This was one of my most anticipated reads for 2026, and it certainly exceeded my expectations for Sophie’s story! Going from despising her in What If It Was Us to absolutely loving her in It Could Be Us, I loved this redemption story.

Sophie has to learn not only to love herself but also to love others and allow herself to be vulnerable again. This book covers sensitive issues such as eating disorders and addiction, while also exploring different aspects of the recovery process.

Anna Lynn has once again nailed yearning and romantic tension. The emotion throughout the book is so well written that it has you on the edge of your seat, begging for the main characters to finally be together. Noah is a top tier book boyfriend, he’s sweet, thoughtful, caring, notices the little things, and don’t even get me started on those glasses!

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and can’t recommend Anna’s books enough. Her writing style is commendable; it not only pulls on your heartstrings, but the detail and depth leave you wanting to keep reading and never reach the end! I can’t wait to read the next book in the Us series and any other books she writes!

this book deserves more than 5 stars in my honest opinion !

Thank you to Anna Lynn for letting me read this, I am forever grateful and this book, this series is just absolutely everything to me. These characters are just my whole world, and the story, the depth, it was all just incredible.

My favorite thing about Anna Lynn's writing is the music, the songs that play, the songs the characters sing or put on during a time, it truly just makes the story that much better!

Sophie and Noah are everything. I loved learning more about Sophie in this book, and really being able to understand her! Noah, the man that you are. I love you. Don't even get me started on LIZ my girl. All of these characters just grow with you and this story was so beautfiul.

Anything this girl writes, I am reading and obsessing over. SORRY NOT SORRY. Make sure to please read this, it is everything!!!!

Thank you, Anna for the eARC! This story was so well done. I was excited to see how Sophie's life turned out after finishing What if it Was Us, and it was definitely worth the wait! I was wrapped right into it from the start. The familiar setting was fun to come back to. Delvecchios' felt like my second home. Found family never gets old and I love it everytime. Noah and Sophie are so perfect together.
The themes and struggles the characters go through are hard and I thought they were handled well and with care.
As always, the song references are perfect and just give you more insight into what the character is really thinking/feeling in those moments. I love how Anna does this in her stories. At one point I started crying while hearing one particular song in my head *chef's kiss

I love a redemption arc because you really learn so much more about these characters and understand them a lot better and was excited to learn more about Sophie!! seeing the struggle of feeling unloved and trying to control the only things she knows how to was so emotional and it felt like something a lot of people could relate to! it was so beautiful to see not only her and Noah’s relationship but hers and Liz’s and the way that they helped each other heal from two completely different things. Noah is so pookie and such a lover boy and i love that he kept showing up for both of them! such a deep, emotional read!

ARC review ❤️

It could be us is not only the love story or Sophie and noah, but also Sophie learning to love herself. The author beautifully captures the self doubt and insecurities that are so common after a break up, making Sophie's story that much more relatable. She broke my heart when all she wanted was someone to share the silence with!

The slow burn romance with Noah was perfection. I loved the yearning they felt for each other! And the love they both had for Liz. Some aspects were a little rushed but the beginning and ending were so well done!

I definitely recommend this to anyone who loves an interconnected romance series!

Since Anna announced Sophie would be the FMC in this book, I have been SAT. I couldn’t wait for Sophie’s redemption story.

This scratched every itch I had for it. I LOVED Sophie, Noah, and Liz’s story so much. The way each of them share an unrelenting hurt, and find a way to collectively heal each other is so beautiful.

I love how Anna thoughtfully connects music into each of her books - it really helps connect characters and emotions to moments. And the playlist always hits!

Thank you, Anna, for the opportunity to ARC read this beautiful little masterpiece!

A MUST READ!

Dare I say, I love this installment even more than the first. Do you have to read book 1 to read this story? No. Do I think it makes you love this book that much more? Absolutely. Anna has a way of writing such difficult to navigate emotions in a way that feels like you’re just chatting with a friend. These characters feel like more than just words on a page. This story is more than just a silly little romance. It’s real life. Love and loss. Finding joy in the valley. 10/10. An amazing read start to finish.
