JACK MALONE: IRAN - OPERATION SANDSTORM

Rate this book
When a covert CIA asset disappears inside Tehran, Washington has two choices: abandon him… or send in the kind of men who officially do not exist.
Former Tier One operator Jack Malone leads Blackstrike — a deniable black ops team used for missions too dangerous, too political, and too dirty for conventional forces. Their objective is simple on paper: infiltrate Iran, locate the missing asset, and extract him before the regime extracts classified intelligence from his memory.
But nothing inside Tehran stays simple.
As Malone and his team move through the shattered streets and hidden networks of the city, they uncover something far bigger than a hostage recovery. Multiple factions are running their own agendas, betrayals are buried inside the mission itself, and every step toward the extraction pushes the region closer to open war.
Outnumbered, cut off, and operating without official support, Blackstrike must fight their way across hostile territory while hunted by Iranian counterintelligence forces that are always one step behind — or one step ahead.
JACK MALONE — IRAN: OPERATION SANDSTORM is a gritty, cinematic military thriller packed with covert operations, black ops warfare, high-risk extractions, and relentless tension from the streets of Tehran to the Iranian border.
Perfect for fans of Brad Thor, Vince Flynn, Tom Clancy, Jack Carr, and tactical action thrillers grounded in realism.

Jack Malone Iran - Operation Sandstorm. Dalton Cross

Dalton contacted me to see if I would like to read one of his books which I was honoured for someone to message me.

I chose this the above book as it is out of my norm and fancied something new to try!

I'm so glad I did as someone who has grown up on COD and also Battlefield it was like being on one of the missions on that but in book form! I was here for it!

It's written in a style where you are worried they aren't going to make it, and will get caught!

It's also a short read so perfect for in between bigger books.

Thank you again!

Jack Malone tells the story of a rescue mission called Operation Sandstorm, set in Iran. Author Dalton Cross has a highly descriptive and detailed writing style, making the story feel vivid and realistic. He also seems very familiar with special forces terminology, which adds authenticity to the narrative.

The short story fully immerses the reader in the rescue operation, keeping the tension high until the very end, where the mission only just succeeds. A very interesting and engaging story.

Mission: “We want him, but we want it silent. No dead. No noise.”

Jack Malone: “We go in, we go quiet, we get out. If it gets loud, it’s because we’re already dead.”

Yeah…

That was the exact moment I knew this book was about to destroy my nerves.

JACK MALONE — IRAN: OPERATION SANDSTORM by Dalton Cross

One missing person.

Three men sent into hostile territory.

30 hours before everything goes wrong.

And if Black Strike fails?

Nobody is coming for them.

This didn’t feel like reading a military thriller.

It felt like being trapped inside the mission with them.

Every border crossing felt deadly.
Every conversation felt dangerous.
Every chapter had me waiting for the moment everything would explode.

The tension in this book was INSANE.

I was literally biting my nails during the rescue mission and holding my breath through some scenes because it genuinely felt like someone wasn’t going to make it out alive.

And the action sequences?

Absolutely cinematic 🔥

Gunfire. Tactical movements. Close escapes. Sudden twists. Pure chaos.

It felt less like reading a novel and more like watching a massive high-budget military thriller unfold in real time. My heart was pounding during the final rescue scenes because the stakes felt unbelievably real.

But what made this book even stronger was the team itself.

Jack Malone is the brain of the mission calm, sharp, and always thinking ten steps ahead.

Briggs is the heart of the team. His dark humor in life-or-death situations somehow made me love him even more.

Reyes is the eyes of the mission cool under pressure, alert, and always watching everything.

Together, their teamwork was incredible.

And David Carr?
Absolutely fearless 🔥

Shirin 🫂 Such a powerful character.

And Farzan ♥️

Honestly, I got attached to every single one of them.

Dalton Cross has this writing style where he throws you straight into danger and never lets you breathe. No wasted time. No unnecessary drama. Just pressure, survival, fear, adrenaline, and nonstop suspense.

At this point, after reading three of his books, I’ve officially come to one conclusion:

Either Dalton Cross is a former undercover CIA operative…or he’s secretly living a double life as James Bond 🔥🧐😌

This is my third Dalton Cross book, and somehow the intensity keeps getting stronger every single time.

Highly recommended if you love:

⚡ High-stakes military missions

⚡ Edge-of-your-seat tension

⚡ Found-family team dynamics

⚡ Brutal action scenes

⚡ Fast-paced thrillers that feel way too real

Unforgettable.

Intense.

Pure chaos in the best way possible.

Welp… I’ve officially become a Dalton Cross fan for life 🥹😎

At this point, I’ll read every single book he releases and impatiently wait for the next mission. 👌👌👌👌👌
