This was exactly what our review team is all about - a WICKED READ !

It was hot, hot, down and dirty hot ... and yet the family dynamic made it seem both believable and most definitely highly desirable. It is probably most young men's fantasy to have a Swedish beauty, but here a fully grown man gets to know just how reality turns out.

Smart, fun and highly enjoyable read -thank you Ms Michaels!

I should have read the blurb more closely....

Inga, a Swedish nanny, accepts a job offer from recent widower Garrett Anderson, who desperately needs help with his two children. Inga's such a.....giving....person that she thrives when she can serve others, and she senses that Garrett has needs over and above taking care of his children and his house. Garrett recognizes Inga's desires, and offers to help her find her inner submissive. However, Inga believes that she wants to be Garrett's slave, and begs him to train her, and he reluctantly agrees. As Inga struggles to conform to Garrett's rules, she begins to doubt the depth of her commitment. Eventually of course, she's able to find the path that leads to contentment at Garrett's feet...ACK!!!!!

Inga's been in a D/s relationship, but wants Garrett to take it to the next level -- to be his slave. Despite repeated discipline and punishments, she appears to be a chronic offender...not in a 'bratty' way, but in a rather stupidly oblivious way. Garrett repeatedly warns Inga about the consequences of her behavior....which she pretty much ignores. You can't fix stupid.

Garrett is a pompous and overbearing jerk. I guess when he has sex with Inga it's supposed to be hot and kinky, but I just wanted her to take the stick out of his ass and beat him with it....

If I'd know this was mostly a DD story, I would have given it a pass. I find DD a challenge to read anyway - but I have read DD books that do a fair job of illustrating why some people are attracted to the dynamics of these types of relationships.

So...I rounded up to 2 stars, because in fairness, I didn't want to penalize the book for my failure to recognize that it was a DD story. Otherwise...just one star for vapid and flat characters along with numerous errors in writing mechanics...ACK!!!!!

WHOOO Boy! Megan Michaels writes a good(and hard handed)alpha Dom. After reading her first in the Service & Submission series I was looking forward to more. Michaels does NOT disappoint with Mastering Inga! I thoroughly enjoyed this book cover to cover. If you're looking for a Dom with a heavy hand and stern beliefs on punishment you've got yourself a great read. Mastering Inga left me blushing profusely, turned on horribly and rubbing my rump in sympathy for poor Inga!

Inga, a nanny from Sweden, comes to America for a job with a recent widow and his two children. She finds his deceased wife's slave collar while cleaning a closet and discovers her employer may be just what she's always wanted, a Master. While Garret claims not to be a harsh master, he agrees to take Inga in hand and help her find her submission with stern discipline and many butt blistering punishments. Not that Inga minds too much, of course, she did ask to be trained as his slave. Whether she can follow his rules and survive his training with her strong will and smart Danish curses, is to be determined. Fast paced and full of hot & steamy scenes, I found this installment a fun ride!

This is the second book in the series and I have found that this author likes to just jump right into things. There really isn’t a lot of buildup and some of the story is a little far fetched. In this book I didn’t really ever feel a connection to Garret. He was so upset about his wife/slave dying but then all of the sudden he was all over Inga. It just didn’t make much sense. If you can get over all that then it was an ok book. I didn’t love it and I didn’t hate it. I just didn’t feel the connection with Garret or the connection between him and Inga and was hoping for more.

Where do I begin? I adored Inga and her little rubber duck. Wish I had one of my own ;) This was such a fun story and I haven't seen one like this in a while. This is a BDSM book with children. Yes children and I LOVE how the relationship of Inga and Garrett changed as the story went on. Their relationship with each other and with the children. This book has a lot of yummy spankings and some that aren't so yummy but there is the wonderful aftercare. Now can I mention that this book is HOT! Ms. Michaels has an incredible steamy sizzling Dom who has a lot of rules to enforce. Garrett is first and foremost a father but he can't just hide his other side... his Dom side. When Inga and Garrett connect for the first time... well there are certainly sparks and I know your kindle will catch fire as you need some alone time with your bed.

To be honest, until the last 10% of the book, this was 3 stars at best. But the ending rather redeemed it.

This is a M/s relationship with a LOT of domestic discipline components. Extremely heavy on the discipline and punishments. That is what it is so govern yourself accordingly.

Garrett is a widower whose wife (and loving slave) died a number of months before the start of the book, leaving him with a 2 year old and a 4 year old. He breaks down and gets a Swedish nanny.

Inga has been a professional nanny for years and longs for a D/s relationship. And there they go.

The basic problem with the book is Garrett. I can absolutely go with a stern Master. I can go with a Master with very precise rules and consequences for disobedience. But this guy is an absolute stick. With that stellar personality, it is implausible he would land one devoted slave within his life, let alone two.

Inga is sweet. And, wow, she has a mouth on her. And a very intemperate mouth. But her transgressions (including, of course, the one very serious one that is needed for plot) are nothing compared to Garrett's truly WTF actions. Sheesh. OK, I was expecting (from some pretty obvious hints in the plot) to have an Inga transgression that did not happen.

Anyways, the HEA ending was absolutely wonderfully touching and raised my enjoyment of the whole book.

Garrett lost his wife and submissive. He wasn't actively looking for a new submissive but when the opportunity falls into his lap he can't let it slip by. He needs someone to do all the things his wife did to keep his house running. He found out that alone he just can't do it. His kids come first and the mess around the house needs attention. When Inga accepts the position the last thing on her mind is a Master. But when her submissive ways show themselves to Garrett he can't stop himself from the Dom coming out in him.

Mastering Inga is everything a BDSM read should be. It was sexy and the chemistry was explosive. I thoroughly enjoyed this read from start to finish. Garrett is all about spanking and Inga earns herself more than a few good wacks. Loved it!

Beautiful

Inga had very stiff shoes to fill as a nanny and maid to a man who just lost his wife with two little kids. Add in there they fall in love and oh by the way he is a master floundering without a slave. But as well as being a nanny Inga is a sub and learns how to become his slave. It is a beautiful transformation!
