RESEÑA COMPLETA EN ESPAÑOL

I know Cindy Morgan for some songs I used to listen in my childhood. And although I don’t remember the name of a particular song, I never forgot the name of the singer. So when I saw that she had written a book, I couldn’t help but be curious.

This book has the same name of her most famous song, How Could I ask for more, and just like in the song, this book emphasizes the blessings we receive daily and sometimes we don’t notice.

At first, I thought this book would be an autobiography, but it isn’t. Instead, it is a collection of Cindy’s life stories and they have reflections that help us to see life from a different perspective.

The chapters are short, but they have a valuable content. Also, I really liked the narrative that is both simple and profound. This book is definitely a must-read if you want something new and fresh.

-I received a book from Worthy Publishing in exchange for my honest opinion, which I did-

Sometimes I think the Holy Spirit just takes over. In an episode of S.A.D. I wandered back to the clearance section of my favorite bookstore and this little gem jumped at me - in perfect condition for $3. I didn’t really think I’d read it right away, maybe I’d gift it to my Sis-in-law, or put it next to a couple of the other Christian-inspirational books I have on the shelf. So settling in by the fireplace at Panera on Wed. during yet another MN winter squall, I read this touching memoir. The. Whole. Thing. Touching and poignant, Cindy Morgan doesn’t shy away from the Big Questions (purpose, meaning in life, role of women in America, a mother’s influence, grief, gaining, losing & regaining faith) and she doesn’t pretend to have answers. Even though she was a Pentecostal with an evangelical parent, (& is mother and an award-winning country singer!) so different than me, I could relate to her struggle and saw many parallels to my own existential questions. Her small b&w photos were an additional perk. Simply a comfort to read about her journey. Pub. in 2015.

Cindy Morgan’s How Could I Ask for More: Stories of Blessings, Battles & Beauty is quite an inspirational read. She tells stories from various seasons of her life and highlights the blessings - both big and small - she has found from God through her different experiences. It’s a beautiful book with great reflection and perspective. And with nice, short chapters, it’s an easy and enjoyable read. I would certainly recommend it interested readers, as well as those in need of discovering their own blessings.

Thanks to Worthy’s First Look, I received a copy of How Could I Ask for More and the opportunity to provide an honest review. I was not required to write a positive review, and all the opinions I have expressed are my own.

This was a perfect book for a hard time for me. It's light weight and easy to hold ... which is perfect for me right now due to a neck injury, but still held up to bring dropped and shoved in a purse ;)... The content was personal, but didn't shy from biblical. I found myself taking pictures of pages to send to a friend several times because I was so struck by how much something applied yo my. Life or my friend's life. The chapter on grief was probably my favorite.... I happened upon it as I was in the throes of grief after just looking a fear friend and mentor. It spoke right to where my heart was both personally and spiritually.

Honestly I only picked it up because it was by a singer, light weight, and in the sale pile, but now I want to buy a few copies for friends!.. I highly recommend.

I won this book from Goodreads. This book is about appreciating our blessings in life. If we have too much chaos we can run the risk of missing out on all God has for us. She says all the good things in life are really the God things. Sometimes heartaches we go through in life are blessings in disguise. God has a plan for us.

What a delightful book this was! I enjoyed the pictures with each short chapter and the lessons I learned. I appreciated the openness and transparency of the author and although not an autobiography, I felt got to know her and her family through it. Well done!

This is really a gem! In short, charming chapters, the writer thinks back on her life and shares some valuable lessons. I used it as a daily devotional and it inspired me a great deal!

Very cute little book. Very gift-able and it was such a blessing to me. Great night-time read before bed. I loved her honesty and vulnerability, and I can sense that she has always struggled with the deeper, darker things in life. Thankful for people like her who struggle in the right direction. Give their time and heart toward giving glory to God and ministering to others.

Undoubtedly Morgan is one of my favorite musicians. In this book, she chronicles memories from her life in only the perfect way that she can. Happily this was my last book of the year.

I won this book in a Goodreads Firstreads giveaway. Thank you to the author for allowing me to read this book for free!
This book was amazing. It was inspirational throughout the entire story and it made me realize that I have no need to ask for more when I already have everything I could ever want. This book made me realize that I need to develop a closer relationship with Jesus Christ, our lord and savior. The bible verses in the story just add on to the greatness of the book.
Overall, this book is a great inspirational read!
I would recommend the book to anyone that needs motivation to continue.
I hope you enjoy How Could I Ask For More by Cindy Morgan!

This book was very similar to a devotional, with stories in place of chapters. Each story was no more than several pages long. I didn't like that the stories weren't in any particular order of time, but I did like that they were heartfelt, real-life experiences.

As a long-time fan of Cindy's music, I enjoyed finding out a little more about her life as a mother, daughter, wife, friend and musician. Her stories are written just as poetically as her songs.
