‼️SPOILERS‼️
I have been hooked on Alisha’s writing ever since I read We Are Worthy and she’s just been that one author that is on autobuy because if you have not read her stuff, what are you doing with life?
I freaking loved Nola and her little sidekick, Skittles. Skittles is her baby and has its own personality.
I just knew that this book was for me when the guys took it in their hands and gave her a teacher a valuable lesson.
This book had me on the edge of my seat, wanting and craving more. I was even messaging Alisha in how I was feeling during the entirety of this book.
Nola does not play around. Whoever looks or even touches her monsters (even though they don’t know they are hers), they are at disposal.
Wesley, Jasper and Sylas. I love these guys with all their different personalities. They all hit a spot for me. Sylas is just batsh*t crazy and I’m here for it. Jasper is Jasper. He stood back to protect her and I was here watching him unravel. I laughed at the scene when he was confused about the first time she was with them. Like I said, too many great moments. I fell in love with Wesley just because his parents are just horrible people and I’m so glad he has Sylas and Jasper.
Okay and can we talk about the moment she revealed her identity to the guys? That whole moment had me cackling!
When she does get her men, they will do anything to protect her even if it means a little pain and sex. I’m here for how they set her in her place.
Garrett and Callie - I love them so much, especially to how he will do anything for her. Callie is Sylas’s sister and becomes best friends with Nola. These girls are the perfect friends.
I will say besides the guys, my all time favorite MC is Nola’s father because what?! He didn’t even bat an eye.
And the spice. I loved each and every moment.
I could literally go on and on with this book.
If you are looking for a dark romance with lots of romcom scenarios, an amazing raven bird sidekick, lots of murder, lots of spice and so much more, this book is for you.

*~eARC*~ On paper, this had everything I love - Secret Society, Why Choose, Dark Romance, Men in Masks, Female Unaliver and Stalker….. but, the MC’s were just way too immature for me. I had a hard time getting past the fact that the FMC is named Nola (living in New Orleans). I’m not even kidding that for the first few chapters I was unsure if her name was Nola or Lola and I thought there were typos.
I really try to avoid romance books with MC’s that are still teenagers. Nola is only 18 while the MMC’s are 21/22. This book just wasn’t for me, unfortunately. Was it spicy? Yes. Kinky? Yes - esp if you like degradation.
Spoiler-ish? One of my least favorite micro tropes is a virginal FMC which I wasn’t aware of going into this. Bleh.

Omg, omg, omg! I absolutely loved this book and it’s definitely one of my favourite Alisha books! It was dark, depraved, unhinged, bloody, chaotic and somehow absolutely hilarious at the same time.
Nola is one crazy FMC. She does some truly terrible things in the name of love and somehow the book has you agreeing with her reasoning half the time. 😂 She’s a completely unhinged serial killer, but I loved watching her grow into this strong, take-no-crap woman. The men in her life keep treating her like she’s this innocent little girl, so what better way to prove them wrong than…murder 😅
Then we have Jasper, Wesley and Sylas. These men are no saints, they’re monsters through and through, and they fully embrace it. As twisted as they are, they would do absolutely anything for the people they love. I will admit, they drove me insane at times. They spent so long sleeping with other women while completely missing what was right in front of them. They were so determined to protect Nola’s innocence when she was just as unhinged as they were. But when everything finally came to light, it was so worth the wait.
This book also had some of the funniest moments I’ve read in a dark romance. The dark humour had me laughing out loud at things that absolutely should not have been funny. The banter between everyone was fantastic, including all the side characters. (Callie and Garrett were favourites!) And I have to mention Skittles the raven because that bird absolutely stole the show. Best animal sidekick ever! 🖤🐦
This definitely won’t be a book for everyone. The trigger list is long, and there are some seriously messed-up moments throughout. But if you love truly dark, chaotic romances with morally black characters, this absolutely delivers.

This was so much fun to read.
If your favorite things are MCs who hurt and/or kill people who hurt, look at or even talk to their partners then this is the book for you 100000000%.
If you love obsessive MCs to the point of insanity this is 100000000% the book for you.
Do you love unhinged behavior that at its core is dark and morally black (I would not call any of these characters morally grey) but the way they do it has you cackling with laughter then this is 100000000% the book for you.
If you love side characters who really add to the story (her dad and BFF) and make you so excited for their story (Callie & Garrett) then this is the book for you.
Finally, if you love dark, twisted, hot spicy time that makes you question yourself then this is the book for you (just be prepared for a lot of cum and talk about it).
I just had a blast reading this because everyone in this book is dark, unhinged, obsessed and twisted but at the time the most loving and supportive group of people. Mentally unwell but supportive. I mean you have Nola who describes herself as a blonde Wednesday Addams and I agree with that a little when it comes to a love of darkness/death but add the unhinged, manic & obsessive behavior of Harley Quinn. She is in love with Sylas, Jasper, and Wesley and has been since they were children, but they cut her off as they got older and got more involved with the brotherhood (cult) bc they didn't want to corrupt her. This continued into them being adults were all 4 are obsessed with each other but the boys refuse to see her as anything as pure and gentle and not wanting to corrupt her, so they leave her alone but won't let anyone close to her bc in their minds she is still theirs. Well Nola decides the best way to show them the darkness inside her is to become a serial killer with a long list of kills mostly targeting girls they have hooked up with. Because that makes sense. But hey in her mind it did and to others in her life when they found out agreed with her and supported her so why not. It did take on a bit of a refusal to communicate (I wouldn't call it a miscommunication) bc even when she has a nice resume, she keeps going rather than confronting them and they refuse to actually talk to her and get to know her and see she can handle their darkness but for me I just was enjoying all the unhinged attempts to get their attention that I didn't mind. But when she does confess it is epic and I loved it and the spice was HOT and honestly their chemistry was off the charts and they were really all perfect for one another.
The story and plot are straight forward in what it's trying to achieve and mostly it's the unhinged chaotic actions of the characters that your here for and I just had a blast and can't wait for the next one.

This is my fault for preordering without reading the full description. It didnʼt take long to pick up on how basic the writing was but I loved Wattpad back in the day. I can overlook that if a story is good.
I canʼt even begin to explain how pissed I am that I wasted money on this book. Nola wants men who have put her off and told her they donʼt want her all while fucking their way across New Orleans. Letʼs not even get started about how trite it is to have a character named Nola in New Orleans. Nickname Lola lmao. Iʼll say it again I can overlook that for the right author.
This was gross.
The guys get off scott free for hooking up with all these women while calling them Nola. Scarlett wasnʼt likeable but can you blame the woman? They used her. Rather than being angry at the men who keep playing games with her Nola/Lola decides to kill any woman who touches them. Totally rational behavior right? She kills the women they use and discard like being some f*ckboys c*m receptacle wasnʼt bad enough. But the thoughts and feelings of other women are never considered by this MFC.
DUH. Sheʼs crazier and more unhinged than other women. So cool. The one these men want but canʼt have because sheʼs too innocent.
What kind of f*cked up internalized misogyny does someone have going on to want these men? You gotta be real messed up to think theyʼre a prize.
Weʼre living in an age of violence against women. Itʼs certainly a choice to have a woman kill innocent women while letting the men who caused her rage get off free. But again itʼs the WOMENS FAULT FOR TOUCHING HER GUYS. ITʼS TOTALLY FINE THAT THE GUYS HAD A CONTRACT FOR THESE WOMEN TO SIGN AND INITIATED IT... BECAUSE THEY HAVE NEEDS. Any rational woman would be disgusted by them and their vile choices. Not Nola/Lola. Only the women are to blame here. WTF the more I think about it the more pissed I am.
Give me a book where Nola goes batshit crazy and ends the men. Thatʼs what I want to read. This was so bad. I had to skip huge chunks and I kept hoping it would get better. It didnʼt. Could be Iʼm going too hard when itʼs fiction but then I remember some woman thought up this plot and thought it was good enough to publish. Iʼm disappointed I wasted half my day off reading this.

Your honor… I’d like to plead guilty to enjoying every unhinged second of this.
A little deranged. A bit obsessive. Completely unhinged.
Exactly how I like my dark romance.
Sincerely, Butterfly was such a ridiculously fun reading experience. From the very beginning, I wasn’t entirely sure if it was going to be my kind of book. But somewhere along the way, the characters got their claws into me, the chaos escalated, and suddenly I was completely invested.
I didn’t just enjoy this book—I hated having to put it down.
Alisha Williams strikes a great balance between dark romance, tension, humor, and just the right amount of “what on earth am I reading?” in the best possible way. If you’re someone who enjoys obsessive love interests, morally questionable decisions, possessive characters, and enough chaos to keep your heart rate slightly elevated, you’ll feel right at home here.
The cast was a complete standout. Every character brought something to the table, and none of them felt like they were simply filling space. Whether they made me laugh, question their sanity, or shake my head at their decisions, they all contributed to making this world feel lively, unpredictable, and impossible to walk away from.
This book had a little bit of everything I look for in a dark romance. It made me laugh, kept me on edge, surprised me more than once, and somehow managed to make all of its beautifully chaotic energy feel completely addictive.
If you’re looking for a dark romance that embraces the madness, isn’t afraid to have fun with its morally gray characters, and keeps the pages flying by, I’d absolutely recommend giving Sincerely, Butterfly a chance.
Now if you’ll excuse me… I’ll be impatiently waiting to see what kind of beautifully unhinged chaos comes next.

OMG! Ok first off, CHECK THE TRIGGERS! This does have dark elements so PLEASE check the warnings before reading this. Secondly, this was a big book! Everyday I thought I read a decent amount of pages and was actually making way through this book but man did it take me longer than I'm used to 🤣🤣. This book was a wild ass ride! Nola is a batshit crazy queen who truly is devoted to her men. Jasper, Silas, and Wesley are just as unhinged as Nola but their also idiots for trying to protect her by pushing her away. Ya know, I get why they did it, I really do; but they also knew how she felt about them so why not keep her safe as yours than cast her out?! Men 😅😂. Honestly, Nola's parents, Jasper's parents, Callie and Garrett were some of my fave characters, oh and can't forget Skittles! The pep talks with Nola's dad Toren about how to be a good follower of his footsteps, and her mom for being supportive (of what she knew of 😏); Jasper's parents of wanting to see their son happy even in this lifestyle; Callie for being the best bestie to Nola; Garrett for being a good wingman to the guys and loving Callie for who she is 😂, and of course Skittles for being the amazingly smart pet bird ever! The filth in this book is so damn spicy! 🥵 This is your warning to keep spare undies nearby 😉. I absolutely loved this book and can't wait to read Callie and Garrett's story, I know it'll be just as good as this one!

Honestly I don’t think I’ve ever come across a character like Nola before 😅 her childhood friends were forced to push her away as their world became darker and more sinister the more involved they became with the Brotherhood, yet they never truly got over their obsession with her - they just believe they can’t have her! Unfortunately for them Nola isn’t having any of it and decides she needs to show them that she too has a dark side…. Mainly by unaliving those they’ve had illicit encounters with 😳
She definitely shows she has a macabre side to her as well as being rather amusing the way she goes about things 😅
The seggs scenes start early but aren’t always with her….until later on and they are spicy - if questionable🥵 the relationship becomes a lot later on around 70% in the book once they realise they are made for each other 🤣
At times she does come across a little desperate and potentially will be OTT for some readers! I found the boys needed a little more depth to them, the focus was very much on Nola, but they did portray key book boyfriend tropes such as obsessive/jealous/always loved you etc.
The side characters such as Cassie and Nola’s dad were great fun 😅
The plot is very much focused on Nola and her men there’s very little external drama. It’s definitely something different to read!

Honestly I don’t think I’ve ever come across a character like Nola before 😅 her childhood friends were forced to push her away as their world became darker and more sinister the more involved they became with the Brotherhood, yet they never truly got over their obsession with her - they just believe they can’t have her! Unfortunately for them Nola isn’t having any of it and decides she needs to show them that she too has a dark side…. Mainly by unaliving those they’ve had illicit encounters with 😳
She definitely shows she has a macabre side to her as well as being rather amusing the way she goes about things 😅
The seggs scenes start early but aren’t always with her….until later on and they are spicy - if questionable🥵 the relationship becomes a lot later on around 70% in the book once they realise they are made for each other 🤣
At times she does come across a little desperate and potentially will be OTT for some readers! I found the boys needed a little more depth to them, the focus was very much on Nola, but they did portray key book boyfriend tropes such as obsessive/jealous/always loved you etc.
The side characters such as Cassie and Nola’s dad were great fun 😅
The plot is very much focused on Nola and her men there’s very little external drama. It’s definitely something different to read!

This book is not for people who want rainbows, unicorns and sweet enduring meet cute moments.
This book is for those girlies that love a good dark book that is full of murder, masks, danger, and a little laughter. This book was all the sweeter because Lola/Nola was just as wild and dangerous as the men.
We also get to meet the coolest sidekick Skittles. I am at the moment trying to figure out if you can train a raven and how to obtain one. I feel it could be useful.
This book has everything a dark heart and naughty mind could want or need. Even a fun human sidekick with Callie (Sylas's sister) and her own man drama in Garrett. I feel like Garrett knew much more than anyone realizes as well, and kept their secrets.)
In our men we get Sylas the hoe, Jasper the lead and serious one, and Wesley the reliable. All three men have their own trauma and connection with the Brotherhood. All three have their amazing moments (in a grave, on a motorcycle, on all fours in the dirt, at an alter, etc.)
The way the truth came out about the butterfly killer was so great! This crew was so fun and twisted that I wish I could read the book for the first time again.
Please let Callie's story be next (and hopefully feature Garrett)

Alisha Williams in her dark romance era has me biting my lip and sweating a little... and I am absolutely here for it.
This book is deliciously unhinged in the best possible way. From the moment the FMC decides that the best way to prove she's perfect for her morally bankrupt men is by handing them a resume of murders, I knew I was in for a wild ride. She's obsessive, ruthless, completely unhinged, and somehow impossible not to root for. Watching her embrace her darkness instead of running from it made this such an addictive read.
Jasper, Wesley, and Sylas are exactly the kind of dangerous, morally gray (or let's be honest, morally black) men you want in a story like this. Their chemistry with the FMC is electric, and the twisted push and pull between them had me wanting more. The tension, the possessiveness, the violence, and the dark humor all blended together perfectly.
Alisha Williams doesn't hold back. If you're looking for sweet romance, this isn't it. But if you love obsessive love interests, morally depraved characters, serial killer vibes, and a heroine who's just as terrifying as the men she's chasing, this book absolutely delivers.
I cannot wait to see what dirty little secrets come next because this story has me completely hooked.

Wow. When I say this book completely threw me off, I mean it in the best possible way! I went into Sincerely, Butterfly expecting dark romance, but I was not prepared for that level of unhinged chaos. I honestly couldn't put it down.
Nola has to be one of the craziest, funniest FMCs I've ever read. She's completely obsessed, unapologetically unhinged, and somehow had me laughing while sitting there thinking, *"What on earth did I just read?"* Watching her try to prove she belongs with Jasper, Wesley, and Sylas was absolutely wild, and every chapter had me desperate to know what she was going to do next.
This book is outrageous, addictive, hilarious in the most unexpected ways, and unlike anything I've read before. Nola completely stole the show, and I loved every minute of the madness.

This was a FANTASTIC book! Nola is officially in my top 5 favorite FMCs of ALL time! Alisha Williams writes the best bada*s FMCs.
I loved how absolutely psychotic Nola was, she made the MMCs look like good law abiding citizens 😂 I loved Skittles as well! I wish we got more of him!
Overall this book was perfectly unhinged and chaotic, basically every character could have their own fancy padded cell.
I 1000% recommend this book especially if you love unhinged and psychotic characters!

I had a hoot reading this book. It was so fun and different. I loved how the obsession came from all parties and not just one.
I see a lot of reviews saying they didn’t like it because the men were still sleeping with other people through most of the book but I feel that just added to the plot 🤷🏻♀️ it gave Nola the fuel to her fire that was needed for her to become the Butterfly killer.
The spice was spicy 🥵 and I am so here for it. I’d be crawling on my knees for these boys any day because woof. I love a possessive man but I also love a rage filled FMC. Nola knew what she wanted and how to get them. Like I said this book was so fun, I love when humor is thrown into dark romance but it’s still dark. It makes it a little easier on the soul. There were some cringey parts but I just imaged it like a sitcom. *Chefs kiss* 10/10 no notes.

Also, normally I’m 50/50 on darker themes but again, this book hooks you from page 1 and the humor and banter throughout are top notch. The FMC (serial unaliver) and her MMCs (heads of secret society/also unalivers) are legit crazy but together they’re so dang adorable.
If you like these tropes/themes, don’t walk…RUN wherever and grab this book. It’s a chef’s kiss 🖤

This was genuinely such a fun read. I’ve loved Alisha’s writing for a while now and have mostly only read her Omegaverse books, but damn this book blew me away. It was insane and crazy but in all the best ways.

MI loved this book SO much. Williams took a beloved dark romance trope, stalking, and completely flipped it on its head.
Nola was an incredible FMC. She was badass, but flawed. She was a very interesting mix of naive and mature. Her determination to get her men was really admirable, if not slightly illegal.
I really liked the MMCs. It was really exciting to read them discovering Nola’s truth.
I also really enjoyed Callie. The definition of a ride or die bff.
Overall this was incredible, unique why choose romance, and I look forward to future books in this series!

The book was awesome, from Nola’s sarcastic personality and her dark humor she made the perfect female serial killer and badass. She knows what she wants and she wants them, and she’s gonna get the by any means necessary. Like stalking them, protecting them, killing any woman they touch or touches them. You can definitely tell she’s not jealous at all. Lol. What I love most is the movie and tv references. Definitely I must read and a must buy.

If you like a unhinged romance this one is for you. A reverse harem that had me on the edge of my seat with every page. Nola trying to prove to the boys she wasn’t as innocent as they thought and that she could be everything they needed, while the boys were willing to let her go just to keep her safe. This book has plenty of everything you need from humor, spice, and anticipation, I couldn’t put this book down.😍🚩

A sassy, smart, heavily into dark sh*t MFC, Nola has you on tenterhooks throughout this amazing story.
And don't get me started on slow burn...This book has it in spades. And at times, too slow, I just wanted to crank it up and get on with it lol
I just wanted to reach out and strangle Nola, as she fought to make her men hers only.
But to have to watch and listen to them take and use other women, would have done my head in!! She took sooooo long with her plan!! OMFG!!
And then there was Jasper, who bluntly refused to give Nola a chance, and forbade Wesley and Sylas to even look at her. He considered her too young and innocent!! Yeh right!!
But to make matters worse, if they could not have her, then no one else could either. Talk about double standards LOL
This book places you in it's grip and does not let go till the very end...and I mean THE VERY END!!

This book was so freaking good!!! I knew it would be because of who the author is but it went over and beyond my expectations!!! The FMC in this book is so bad a**! She stalks the men she’s always been in love with hardcore but the three men she calls her boyfriends before they even know how cray cray she is think she’s this innocent little lotus flower that needs to be protected from their darkness. The MMC’s have always been obsessed with their Lola girl since they were children but as they grew older in the secret society their families were a part of they started becoming darker, their minds sicker, and their kinks much more sadistic than most women could handle. Then when they had to take of the leading roles for the brotherhood they convinced themselves that they would never be able to have Lola the way they wanted her. So what they did instead was pick a girl from a list of volunteers to sign a contract where they could do all the most unhinged things to them and call them by the name Lola while they would play out their sick fantasies with a random chick they would pretend was Lola until it was over and they would drop them like trash and they wouldn’t be able to tell anyone about it or do anything about it because of the contract they signed. So because Lola was doing some hardcore stalking like even going as far as training her Raven birdie friend to follow them wherever they went and she made a lil harness with a camera on it to put on her bird so she could watch what they were up to. Once she realized that all the women they were hooking up with had to sign a contract so they could call them Lola and play out their sick fantasies with them she was flattered and pissed at the same time. She loved watching them torture & unalive the people who tried to put their hands on her and they always looked out for her when they all went to the same school but they still kept her at arms length because of them thinking she was too innocent and pure for them. She only saved her virginity for them because she believed they were her one and only soulmates. So she decided to start tracking each girl down once the boys got with them just so she could unalive them herself. That’s when she found out her father used to be a serial killer back in his prime and he just so happened to be her favorite. So since they owned a morgue and he had plenty of experience he helped her to not get caught. So she kept doing this for them to show them how devoted she was to them! Lola was then dubbed the butterfly killer because of her calling card she would leave with the corpses she left behind. She then became besties with one of her boys sister when she caught her with a dead girl at her feet. Then her bestie started helping her too. When the boys finally find out how unhinged their Lola girl really is they are floored, awed with disbelief and joy, and then it’s on and cracking after that with all the filthy yummy smut you could ask for!! I’d definitely recommend this book to anyone and everyone over the age of 18! :)

I’m not sure if this was listed as a dark romcom or just a dark romance, but let me tell you, it definitely had me laughing out loud multiple times. Not even Nola’s bad dad jokes, but the banter amongst the characters was top tier. This was my first book by Alisha Williams and I’m excited to explore more just to experience this type of writing again!
Nola was CRAZY! In the best way possible, she was a serial killer after all, but the girl was hilariously NUTS! I loved her dedication and even though she had semi thought out plans that she didn’t follow, she made the best of each situation. She took things mostly in stride and when she saw red, she allowed herself to do what most women want to do, she SNAPPED 😂
Jasper was the classic I can’t have her so I’m going to be a jerk to her but it wasn’t excessive IMO. I also think because he was that way with everyone it was just who he grew up to be. He allowed the years to harden him. I think if he wasn’t the prologue POV it would’ve been normal but after opening the book with him and then seeing how he turned out, I struggled with him. He did redeem himself. I also thought his standoffish attitude was hot, I know, I’m probably just as messed up as Nola 🤣
Wesley was a big teddy bear. He was the asshole that turned softy the most in my eyes. He wanted everyone to see the hard exterior but deep down there was more. Oh and the slutty little glasses 🥵 YES PLEASE!
Sylas was a damn flirt and by far my favorite. I knew the entire time he was going to get the girl with his flirtatious winks and banter, that man was trouble incarnate!! It was only a matter of time!
Let’s not forget the spice! 🥵🥵 damn! I think my house was about to catch fire from the heat! It was DARK AND SPICY! It was HOT AND TWISTED! I feel like each scene between the 4 got a little more heated and a lot more kinky and I was here for it!!
I LOVED the storyline! I loved the concept and the execution. I’m a huge fan of secret societies so this was right up my alley. Serial killers but make them female are an automatic yes for pulling my interest and when you combine the two, you have my attention!! This is definitely going to be a book I recommend and I will most likely be reading it again. I’d love to listen to it on audio as well. I think the banter alone would have me on the floor laughing if it was captured on audio.
I also loved Garret and Callie and can’t wait for their book!!

This was my first book by Alisha Williams, and it absolutely will not be my last.
I genuinely don’t think I’ve had this much fun reading a book all year.
Before diving in, know exactly what you’re signing up for. This is a true dark romance with an incredibly dark sense of humor. If that’s your thing, buckle up because this book is an absolute ride.
The standout star of this story is Nola.
Hands down, she’s one of my favorite FMCs I’ve ever read.
On the surface, she’s the quiet, sheltered wallflower who has always been underestimated by the three men who grew up protecting her. But underneath? She’s completely unhinged in the most entertaining way possible. She knows exactly who she is, never pretends otherwise, and unapologetically embraces every chaotic part of herself.
And honestly… a woman with a pet raven that helps stalk people?
Say less.
I loved watching the three MMCs slowly realize that the woman they’d spent years trying to protect might actually be the most dangerous person in the room. Their reactions when they finally discover who Nola really is were priceless.
The multiple POVs worked perfectly here, but Nola’s inner monologue completely stole the show. I found myself laughing throughout the entire book because the humor landed so well, even in the middle of all the darkness.
The spice absolutely delivers, but what impressed me most was that every relationship felt distinct. Nothing became repetitive, and every emotional connection served a purpose beyond the physical chemistry.
Beyond all the chaos, the story also had real heart. Beneath the murder, secret societies, revenge, and morally questionable life choices was a surprisingly emotional story about acceptance, found family, and finally being loved exactly as you are.
This was easily one of my favorite ARCs of the year and one of my favorite books overall.
I cannot wait to return to this world.

I don't even know where to begin because I absolutely devoured this book. The second I started reading, I couldn't put it down. It was dark, chaotic, addictive, and completely consumed my life until I finished it.
Nola is hands down one of my favorite FMCs I've read this year. She might actually be the most unhinged out of the four of them, and I mean that as the highest compliment. She's every bit as psychotic, chaotic, and completely unhinged as Jasper, Wesley, and Sylas, making her their perfect match. She doesn't shy away from their darkness—she embraces it and wants every part of it, and eventually they embrace hers right back. And trust me... the way she proves she's not the sweet, innocent girl they remember? Let's just say you need to read it for yourself. I was obsessed.
Nola, Jasper, Wesley, and Sylas belong together in every lifetime.🦋
The multiple POVs made the story even better because, honestly... who doesn't love getting inside everyone's head? It made me love each of them even more.
And can we please talk about Skittles?! The pet raven completely stole my heart. He was the perfect little sidekick for so many reason.

On paper, the story had everything I could like: Why choose, secret society, stalker/serial unaliver FMC.
The reality? The MCs are too young for me, too immature. I didn’t know the FMC would be a teenager, that the MMC would be only in their very early twenties.
I want to praise the fact that the author did an amazing job at writing an immature teen, at writing young men who don’t make the right decisions. They were cringe as intended.
But that’s exactly why, for me, the story does not work. The FMC kills like 15 people just within new-orlean, in the span of what? 10 months? And nobody finds a thing? Yes, she had the teachings of her father, but she doesn’t have the maturity to pull such a thing off.
The three MMC are the same, 22 and at the head of the secret society, as well as CEO of multi-million dollar companies? While still in college? I mean, come on...
I wanted to believe in that world, but it just felt too far-fetched.
I also now have been put off of Ashnikko. This singer and their songs are mentioned so so much in this book, that it’s almost too much.
Now about pacing, I almost DNF it. I pushed through because I wanted to be able to give a real rating (Sometimes I’m stubborn).
It starts slow; I was annoyed with the FMC so much that I was even tempted to skip some chapters. But at least Nola gets a bit better; things progress, but you have to wait until maybe sixty or seventy per cent of the book.
When you know that the book is around 650 pages long? It’s... slow.
In conclusion, this book was not for me.
While I can appreciate some college romance, it’s usually because I know people will be in college. I read YA with teenage characters too, so why couldn’t I like this one?
Because I felt the combination of teens, secret society, and dark setting didn’t work. I found Nola to be childish, too young for the story. I just couldn’t get attached to any of the main characters at all. Without the FMC’s dad, I would have given this book a two-star rating.
