I like how the two main characters help each other overcome family and personal struggles, but I didn't like the pacing. Everything happens fast and there's a lot of dialogue and not enough depth of feeling or emotion

This is the fourth in the Bachelors and Bridesmaids series. I didn’t dislike this book but it didn’t really have much of a storyline. Wasn’t as good as the others.

I absolutely loved Before I Do; it is an incredible love at first sight love story. It is the fourth book in the Bachelors and Bridesmaids series. Each book in the series keeps getting better and better. I love that they series is based on the lives of eight women who met in their college freshman dorm, became best friends, and promised to be bridesmaids in one another’s weddings. Barbara Freethy has once again shown that she is an amazing storyteller. Before I Do did not disappoint, I could not put it down and I loved every page. I really enjoy how the book is told from the perspective of the main characters. I love getting the insight and feelings from the different characters. Before I Do is a love at first sight love story and is filled with heartbreaking and heartwarming moments. I love the lighter moments where I find myself smiling and laughing out loud and the bittersweet moments that cause me to sigh, say aww to myself with tears filling my eyes. Before I Do is filled with such moments, and with so much emotion. It is filled with all those things that we have come to love and expect in a love story, especially the poignant and bittersweet moments that filled this page turner. Before I Do is the story of Nicholas “Nick” Hunter, entrepreneur and Isabella Martinez, dance instructor. Nick needs to find a dance instructor to teach him how to do the Argentinian tango, so that he can close a deal on property in Buenos Aires. Nick approaches Isabella with a proposition to teach him how to tango. He eventually convinces her to go with him to Argentina as his dance partner. Isabella was born in Buenos Aires, but her mother left Buenos Aires with Isabella when she was a child and moved to California. Isabella has had little contact with her father since then. As Isabella and Nick spend time together getting Nick ready to dance the tango, things change between them as Nick’s dancing skills improve. Isabella shares secrets with Nick and he finds himself falling for Isabella. I love that they were both so vulnerable and that they changed because of their love. I loved that Before I Do is a more than just a romance, there are dilemmas that both Isabella and Nick are facing that need to be resolved. I love that there were multiple storylines: Isabella’s relationship with her father, Nick’s learning to tango, Isabella’s future as a dance studio owner or something more, but most importantly Isabella and Nick’s story. I love that Isabella goes in search of his father and his family during her trip with Nick. I love all the little things that Nick does for Isabella to help her realize her dreams, and how his life and outlook changed by learning to dance the tango with Isabella. I love how all the storylines get so beautifully resolved. I love all the descriptions of the California and Buenos Aires area settings that Barbara Freethy detailed. Before I Do is filled with the poignant and bittersweet moments in the story as well as the plot twists, that I have come to love and expect in Barbara Freethy's stories. I love the cast of characters in Before I Do and I am looking forward to reading the other books in the series. Who doesn’t love family and friends that always have each other’s backs? Reading Before I Do felt like a family reunion, because the reader was able to catch up with the other characters in the series. I thoroughly enjoyed Before I Do, who doesn’t love a love at first sight love story. Highly recommend this wonderfully written story.

The storyline was ok, even if a bit of a stretch, the writing? not so much. I often felt that there were too many 1-sentences consecutively, the words used to describe the area, the structure, it made the writing seem very amateurish.
After reading books from Stephanie Laurens, Marie Force, Christina Lauren, J. S. Scott, Cassia Leo, Kristen Proby, which are all of different romance styles, this did not live up to expectations at all. As I find it hard to not finish a series and therefore hardly do that, I hope that the next one from this series is much better.

Nick, a hotel entrepreneur, and Isabella, a dance instructor, have very little in common. But the more times they get together and share their life stories the closer they become. Nick needed to learn to tango so he could complete a hotel sale and Isabella needed to take a risk and not just teach but deliver on stage.

The Tango

Who would think a dance could mirror life and a relationship between two very different people. The best thing about Freethy's series is we see little glimpses of the future in later books in the series.

The writing seems fine, but the story and the characters just act in a way that is no way realistic.

Nick is a businessman whose deal is contingent on him learning the tango, to prove he understands the local culture to the man selling the land for his resort. Right. Because tango is all there is to know about Argentina, or any country.

But moving on, he reluctantly goes to his first dance class, and meets our heroine the dance instructor, Isabella. After class they step out on the patio to talk. Within the first few lines she jumps into telling him her backstory about her divorced family. We know it's for our benefit of course.

Then her aunt appears, and after finding out Nick is a client, proceeds to have a conversation about her wishes to sell her share of the dance studio. Isabella then procedes to discuss her working up to have the funds to buy her aunt out. Right. Anyone would have just said I need to talk to you later.

I just DNF when stories don't have to be even a little bit pausible, because it really bugs me.

This book can be read as a standalone but you will want to read all the others in the series. They are great reads. Quick reads too!

Barbara Freethy is a great author, she pulls you in from the beginning of the book and leaves you wanting more.

This is the story of Nick and Isabella.

Isabella is one of the bridesmaids, she is a dance instructor who was at one time dancing on the stage herself, but an accident during practice left her injured.

Nick is an entrepreneur, rich and sexy.. He is trying to buy land in Argentina but in order for this deal to go through he needs to dance the Tango for the land owner. Nick doesn't dance so he seeks out the help of a dance teacher.

The sparks fly between these two. Nick has to learn the tango good enough to pull off in a weeks time. Can he do it or will the deal fall through. Will the two find more than what they expected.. will there be another wedding in the future for these two

Nick Hunter and Isabella Martinez have super fiery passion in Before I Do. This installment of the Bachelors & Bridesmaids Series appealed to me even more than the previous ones because of the way Isabella brought Nick out of his shell. They truly bettered each other's lives and brought the term, "opposites attract" to life. Good work, Barbara! It was another book of yours that I couldn't put down. I only wish it could've been longer because I didn't want their story to end.

This book is about Nick and Isabella. Isabella is the latest bridesmaid that find herself falling in love. She gives Nick tango lessons and it sets them both on a path to discover themselves and resolve some issues with their families. If you read the other bridesmaid books then this is a must read. It can be a stand alone book but once you read about one bridesmaid you got to read about the others.

This book is funny and sweet. I fell in love with Isabelle. She is free and extremely strong. I loved her outlook on life and I loved the way Hunter and her came together with such passion. I could feel the love and the emotion these two shared. The family drama was also fantastically written. Another wonderful novel from a great author. Thanks Barbara

I enjoyed this book about a dance instructor teaching a businessman, who is singleminded about business, how to tangible. He had to learn the mango to complete a business deal.
