MISSING PEOPLE CASE FILES; UNEXPLAINED DISAPPEARANCES; MISSING PEOPLE. Unexplained Mysteries.
How can people literally disappear without trace?
How can someone vanish into thin air, often in close proximity to other people, yet never be seen again?...Sometimes the most cryptic of clues are left behind; clues that often lead to more questions than answers. Here are some of the most baffling cases of people who have gone missing...
Excerpts;
‘They’d only been at the campsite for a short while when they realised he’d disappeared. They quickly started looking for him, but they couldn’t see him anywhere nearby and quickly found a ranger and reported him missing. A search was started, and snow was falling fast. Nearly five hundred people were to end up searching for him, including the National Guard, covering a ten mile radius of the campsite. Despite bloodhounds being used, his scent could not be picked up. Despite a week long search, the little boy was not found.’

‘He called 911. He tells them he’s run out of gas and that he’s in the woods just off the highway. It’s hard to understand his exact words in the 911 call, but many who have heard it believe it’s something along these lines; “There’s guys chasing me in the woods. Got taken through the woods. Please hurry, please help.”
Who were the other guys? What was going on? He has never been seen since. An aerial search with infrared and a grid foot search were carried out. Texas SAR did thorough and extensive searches in the area looking for any sign of him. Later, cadaver dogs were brought in, but nothing was found of the man..’

‘She had been last seen walking on route 19 on the day of her disappearance, not far from her home. She had no belongings with her, nor any medication which she needed to take daily. Two days later her mother came home to find there was a message on her landline phone. When she listened to it, it sounded like her daughter, and she was saying, “Help me, help me, let me out.”

‘A college student travelled from Missouri University to Chicago with a group of fellow students. At just after midnight he left the hotel conference room and at some time after this he was captured again on CCTV, approaching the main entrance of the hotel. He was never seen again.'

‘A year later, hundreds of miles away in a parking lot outside a grocery store in Florida, a lady finds a Polaroid picture on the ground with a harrowing scene. Two children are lying on a bed, bound and gagged. An adolescent boy and an older girl. They’re both staring into the camera with anxious expressions and the scene is one of tense horror.’

Quick Synopsis of Unexplained Disappearances

David McGown does a great job in giving us a quick view of people who disappeared entirely or died in mysterious circumstances. The book flowed very easily and highly recommended for those people interested in this area.

Ripped off from the internet

This s nothing more than a glorified book report. The title talks of missing persons, yet several of the stories involve people that are found to be dead. If you find a body, they are not missing.

Serious Editing Needed!

The book is very poorly written and full of glaring grammatical errors. It has some interesting points, but to read this missive little book it's like listening to fingernails scraping across a chalkboard.

I found this book fascinating with cases i have never heard of and some very strange disappearances indeed.

Really well researched and some complex and perplexing clues left behind.
