Welcome to the Silver Woods

My home, my pack, my everything.

It’s all in jeopardy. Fourteen moon cycles ago, a hostile takeover ripped our pack apart, warping our community with cruelty and coercion. And thirteen moon cycles ago, my sister ran away.

Now, I’m left to pick up the pieces. I have some help, though. There’s Opal, the old alpha’s daughter who smells like cut grass and summer wildflowers. The friend I wish was something more and our best shot at challenging the new leader. And Ben, the newcomer with hazel eyes like forest moss and a complicated past that gives him every reason to want the current alpha gone. The fresh crush I can’t get out of my head and the ally I’m not sure I can trust.

Our hearts and pack are on the line. We’ve got one last chance to make things right. So we better make it count.

✨This was an okay read for me! I really liked the idea of the story going in. The pack drama and the whole werewolf aspect caught my attention.🐺

Sammy’s journey was a rollercoaster.🤭The fear, the grief and never wanting to stand down even when it’s hard was truly admirable.❤️‍🩹Opal and Ben both brought something different and interesting to the story, and I liked seeing how everything came together as the stakes got higher. They had some good chemistry.🔥I just wish I connected with the characters and romance a little more. There were some good moments, but I felt like I was missing that extra something that makes me completely invested in a story.🥺

⭐️Overall, this wasn’t a bad read, but it just didn’t fully hook me the way I wanted it to. The idea was there, and there were definitely parts I enjoyed, but I think I needed a little more character development, emotional depth, and romance to really connect with the story.🙌🏽

Thank you to the Author Jenna Booth and LoveNotesPR for the opportunity to read this ARC!🩵

I received this ARC for an unbiased review.

This was such a fun little romp through the Silver Woods! The descriptions were absolutely gorgeous, like I was really there.

A few of my favorite quotes:

Chapter 7: The emerald lace of the pines frames the black velvet of the sky."😍

Chapter 18: Gravel crunches beneath our feet, the sound amplified by the silence surrounding us. [...] None of the familiar sounds of the woods in the summer. Like nature's holding her breath for us.

Chapter 19: The blood, the bruises, the grime are all an indictment.

Without giving any spoilers, the plot was so very cathartic. I don't know if Jenna plans to leave this as a standalone, but I would love to see a full length novel in this universe. ESPECIALLY if it gives us more Zesty!!

Also super excited for my sprayed edge copy of this book! It will look beautiful next to Bite Back on my shelf.

Three Werewolf Moon is A Why Choose Novella by Jenna Booth. Three Werewolf Moon is an FFM why choose novella for fans of paranormal romance with swoony shifters and secret rebellions.

Three Werewolf Moon by Jenna Booth looks like a typical paranormal romance, but underneath there is a powerful and bright energy. The dedication remains in the atmosphere: 'For everyone who's giving it their all and wondering if this is enough.' I promise that it is, just as if it were a quietly spoken blessing.
Samantha's spirit is present on every page, subtle and continually there, much like sunlight filtering through a drawn curtain after a long night.

Samantha proceeds through the story with the kind of care that comes from having learned to detect danger in the silence. Though grief stays with her like a second skin, she continues on, even when her steps weaken. The shadow of the Pack is long, yet she does not disappear under it. In the quiet instances, when her hand shakes as she unlocks the door and the way she stays at the threshold before going inside, her strength wavers, being both fragile and genuine. The narrative does not speed up her recovery; rather, it allows her to collect herself, bit by bit, until hope becomes something she can almost reach.

The Three Werewolf Moon carries with it the burden of long-standing friendships. The history between Samantha and Opal is shown in brief glances and incomplete sentences, a trust built up over the years during which they have faced numerous difficulties. Their relationship does not suddenly turn romantic; instead, it develops slowly, just as ivy winds its way up an abandoned wall, each new leaf being a sign of patience. The story allows them to stay in the in-between phase, a place where longing is expressed through shared silences and the touching of hands, and honesty is as rare and precious as rain following a drought.

Ben turns up in the way that a change in the weather does, quiet in his speech, patient, and somehow disturbing to the atmosphere that surrounds Samantha and Opal. He tends to listen rather than talk, and his presence offers a subtle prompt to think again about what love could mean. Although the balance changes, it never falls apart; each relationship has its own quiet weight. The story avoids the simple route, allowing all the relationships to develop naturally and refusing to reduce their complexity to something predictable.

Jenna's novella weaves together the themes of family and defiance, stretching each element taut through instances of quiet rebellion and firm hope. Despite being set in the most dismal situations, the story does not give in to despair.

Healing in this tale is a long and meandering route, at times going back on itself and at other times disappearing completely, but it always ends up in a new place. Love, in all its odd and ever-changing manifestations, shines at the edges, ready to be seen.

Jenna’s book will stay with you if you're interested in stories in which trust is gained bit by bit and hard-earned, and if healing is just as unpredictable as the phases of the moon; it's ideal for people who enjoy friends-to-lovers developments and the slow build of desire mixed with honesty and vulnerability.
Hope continues to flicker in my chest long after I had finished reading this novella, and the characters still live rent-free in my head to this day. Samantha's experience teaches us that healing seldom follows a set course, that love often comes without warning, and that at times the family we find ourselves surrounded by is the one that will shelter us on our darkest days. And it’s a family that comes together organically and stands by our side with more loyalty than the family we’re born into.

Three Werewolf Moon stays with me as brightly as a scar, laden with old pain and at the same time holding the promise of something unbroken which is still waiting to be found.

Three Werewolf Moon by Jenna Booth 2 ⭐️

New-to-me author.

And friends…

We were not thriving. 😭

I love the concept of werewolves. Give me shifters, pack dynamics, possessive mates, supernatural chaos—I am absolutely willing to participate.

An FFM why choose werewolf romance with a secret rebellion against a corrupt alpha?

That sounds like something I should eat UP.

Unfortunately, this book had approximately 47 different things it wanted to accomplish and 128 pages to accomplish them in.

Baby.

We do not have the TIME.

The premise itself is actually really interesting.

The Silver Woods pack has been living under a hostile takeover for fourteen moon cycles. Their new alpha is cruel and controlling, the community is suffering, and our FMC is trying to figure out how to help take their home back.

Meanwhile, her sister disappeared thirteen moon cycles ago.

Then we have Opal—the former alpha’s daughter, longtime friend and old crush.

And Ben—the mysterious newcomer with his own complicated history, questionable motives and immediate new-crush potential.

So we’re working with:

Werewolves.

Pack politics.

Corrupt alpha.

Rebellion.

Missing sister.

Old crush.

New crush.

Friends to lovers.

Mysterious outsider.

Leadership challenge.

Found family.

Why choose.

FFM.

Trust issues.

Resistance movement.

Multiple mates.

MA’AM, THIS IS A NOVEL.

Maybe TWO novels.

Why are we trying to shove it into 128 pages?!

😭

Because that was ultimately my biggest problem with Three Werewolf Moon.

I don’t necessarily dislike any of these ideas.

There are just too damn many of them.

Nothing had enough room to breathe.

The pack has supposedly been completely transformed by this hostile takeover, but we barely have time to really experience what that means before we’re moving onto something else.

There’s an entire rebellion happening.

Okay! I’m listening!

But wait—we need to discuss the missing sister.

Except…

We kind of DON’T?

The book opens by telling me this woman’s sister RAN AWAY and has been gone for thirteen moon cycles.

Obviously I’m thinking:

Oh shit. Finding the sister is going to be a huge part of this.

Nope.

She’s largely put on a shelf until the story needs her again.

And because I barely knew her, I wasn’t emotionally invested enough for that storyline to have the impact it seemed like I was supposed to feel.

You can’t just tell me:

MISSING SISTER!!!

and expect me to supply the emotional devastation myself.

Give me something to WORK WITH.

😂

But my biggest disappointment?

The romance.

Because hello???

You promised me FFM WHY CHOOSE WEREWOLVES.

I came prepared.

And then the romance showed up like:

hey 👉🏻👈🏻

WHERE IS THE CHEMISTRY?!

Where is the yearning?

The tension?

The oh shit, I want both of you crisis???

Opal is supposed to represent this long-standing attraction and friendship with feelings underneath it.

Ben is supposed to bring that exciting new attraction with an element of can I actually trust you?

That combination could have been SO GOOD.

Old crush + new crush???

YES.

Make her spiral.

Instead, everything happened so quickly that I never really became emotionally invested in any combination of these three.

And for a why choose?

I need to understand WHY SHE’S CHOOSING EVERYONE.

That’s kind of important!

😂

Honestly, you could remove most of the romance from this story and the central plot wouldn’t change very much.

That’s a problem when you’re selling me a werewolf why-choose romance.

And maybe that’s what frustrated me most because I can SEE the bones of a story I would’ve enjoyed.

Make this 350 pages?

Let me experience the oppression inside the pack.

Develop the rebellion.

Give the sister storyline actual emotional weight.

Let me know Opal.

Let me become suspicious of Ben.

Make me FEEL that history with Opal.

Make me WANT Ben even though I don’t trust him.

Let those relationships develop individually before bringing all three together.

Give the pack politics some teeth.

THEN WE’RE COOKING.

Instead, every time something interesting happened, we were already sprinting toward the next plot point.

The whole book felt like someone hit 2x speed.

And I’m sitting there going:

WAIT.

I JUST GOT HERE.

😭

This is one of those books where my rating isn’t because the premise was bad.

Quite the opposite.

The premise was probably too ambitious for the format.

There was a full-length paranormal romance hiding inside this novella, desperately banging on the walls asking to be let out.

Secret rebellion against an evil alpha?

YOU HAD ME.

But trying to fit an entire supernatural revolution, pack politics, a missing sister, three romantic relationships, multiple mates, found family AND enough character development to make me care into 128 pages?

The math was simply not mathing.

Turns out this three werewolf moon needed about three hundred more pages. 🐺🌙😭

When I first read the dedication—"For everyone who's trying their best and worried it's not enough. It is, I promise."—I didn't realize how perfectly it would capture the heart of this story. By the time I reached the final page, those words meant so much more.

Three Werewolves Moon was so much more than a paranormal romance. At its core, it's a story about healing, hope, and finding the courage to keep fighting even when everything around you feels broken.

Samantha's journey completely pulled me in. Watching her carry grief, fear, and the weight of an oppressive pack while still refusing to lose herself was heartbreaking and inspiring at the same time. Every setback made me root for her even harder, and seeing her slowly rediscover hope through the people who loved her made the emotional moments hit even deeper.

The relationships were easily my favorite part of the book. The lifelong friendship between Samantha and Opal was beautiful from beginning to end. Their trust, loyalty, and unwavering support for one another created such a strong emotional foundation, and watching that friendship naturally grow into something more felt incredibly rewarding. It never felt rushed—it felt earned.

Then Ben entered the story and added another layer I wasn't expecting. His kindness, patience, and genuine desire to make things right challenged both Samantha and my own expectations. The FFM why choose relationship developed with care, allowing every connection to grow individually before coming together. I appreciated that each relationship mattered equally, making the emotional payoff feel authentic instead of forced.

Jenna Booth also balanced the romance with meaningful themes of found family, resilience, and standing up against injustice. Even in the darkest moments, there was always a thread of hope running through the story that reminded me why these characters refused to give up.

If you enjoy stories with friends-to-lovers, a fresh crush that slowly blossoms into something deeper, an emotional FFM why choose romance, and character-driven relationships that prioritize trust and healing just as much as romance, I highly recommend picking this one up.

This story left me feeling hopeful, emotional, and deeply invested in these characters. Their journey reminded me that healing isn't linear, love can take many forms, and sometimes the people who stand beside you become the family—and future—you never expected.

✨ARC REVIEW✨

Overall, I’d give this story a solid 3.5 (4 since I round up when platforms don’t allow half rating options, looking at you Goodreads).

This is a fun, fast-paced, shifter ffm why choose romance novella. Sammy and Opal have to team up with an unlikely stranger to save their pack from an overbearing, power-hungry Alpha - who only became Alpha due to his dirty and conniving ways. Throughout the process, a romance that had been building under the surface for years finally comes to fruition. Sammy also has a lot of personal trauma she needs to deal with, like how her twin left without a word. While I would be interested in learning more about Sammy’s sister and what happened there (I have my suspicions, and it could be an interesting novella itself), I’m perfectly okay with how the story ended. There was one character that didn’t quite make a whole lot of sense - the raccoon. I love a good animal companion, and this one was cute. But it wasn’t really a companion? Other than following her in the woods, obviously finding Sammy interesting, and helping her enter a cabin, there’s no real reason for them. I didn’t hate it; the raccoon just seemed random - cute, but random.

Would I recommend this book? Sure. Am I obsessed? No. I think it’s a great quick read that will leave you entertained. If you’re new to the shifter romance world, it's a good first step as it’s wolf and pack heavy but not very romance heavy. This book gave me fun uprising vibes, similar to the vibes of a teen dystopian adventure we grew up with (the vibes are similar; the romance content is NOT teen). I personally really liked the way the relationship between the friends came to be. The inner dialogue felt real. It really felt like there was a deep connection between the three, not just lustful.

Thank you to LoveNotesPR for providing me with an advanced copy of this novella in exchange for honest review!

This was an enjoyable and thrilling shifter novella for anyone wanting a self-contained and shorter read with the why-choose trope!

Jenna did a great job at both providing context and creating a cohesive setting for such a short page count, and I really enjoyed the pack dynamic between Opal, Sammy, Ben and their alpha Kade and his cruel betas, which made for a compelling dynamic between good vs bad.

I would have liked to see a little more romantic development and lead up between Ben and the two other main characters, as this did feel quite rushed from their first meeting to being 'mates'. I also wished we'd seen more of Opal being in a leadership role as an alpha prospect, as she was so supportive and such a rock for the community - we only saw a couple of these moments and it would have really solidified her as a leader of her pack if we had more.

If you're a fan of shifter romances and need something in between other large reads, then I'd definitely recommend this read.

⭐️ 3 stars

I really wanted to love this because the actual idea was so good. An abusive alpha, a poisoned pack, a missing sister, chosen mates and a suspiciously helpful raccoon? I was IN.

But everything happened so bloody quickly. It felt like I was being introduced to characters without actually getting to know them, and loads of important backstory was just randomly dropped in when it became relevant. Even the relationship went from barely any build-up to everyone shagging before I’d had time to become invested in them together 😂

It did get better towards the end. There were finally more feelings, the challenge was described really well and I genuinely loved the reveal about what was happening to the pack. I also really liked seeing Opal’s softer side, and Ben supporting Sammy with her antidepressants was probably the first moment where I properly felt an emotional connection between them.

There was honestly such a good story hiding in here—I just needed more depth, more backstory and more time for everything to breathe.

3 stars for the book. Five stars for the raccoon. 🦝

Thank you to the author and Love Notes PR for the gifted ARC. All opinions are my own.

This is definitely more than just your paranormal romance. There is such a powerful message underneath. Starting from the dedication, "For everyone who's giving it their all and wondering if this is enough." This book shows the process of healing, growth, and courage to keep willing your way through life when you really don't feel like it.

Samantha is a character that really just traps you in and make you want to know her story. Watching her grieve and fear while refusing to lose herself to a horrible pack leaders violence was heartbreaking yet inspiring. It resonated with me personally that no matter what, you can still get up and get on with your day.

The friendship between Opal and Samantha was such a beautiful journey. Their trust and unwavering loyalty to each other had such a strong foundation to naturally see the relationship flourish.

The FFM developed with ease as the MMC entered into the picture with grace. The connections flowed individually and as a whole.

This story left me feeling emotional, but honestly proud of all three characters and their will and fight till the end.

The story was fine; I just felt there wasn't much depth to it, nor a connection with the three mates.

Samantha, or Sammy as she's known, isn't too happy with the new Alpha of her pack, knowing the last one was loved by many and was her best friend's dad. Opal tries to keep Sammy in line, but that doesn't stop the new Alpha from calling her out. Enter the new Alpha's brother, Ben, as an ally and someone who wants to take him down. Together, the three of them come up with a plan to take down the Alpha and put Opal in place as the Alpha. Along the way, feelings develop between the three, so when it's all said and done, where does that leave them?

Opal, Sammy, and Ben are mated at the end of this standalone book.

I didn't really feel a connection between the three of them besides being allies to take down the terrible Alpha. Being a novella, there wasn't a lot to work with to show the connection between them and show the conflicts within the pack and what they were doing to save it. I do wonder if other packs in the area knew what the terrible Alpha had done to the pack, or if they were discovering it too with the rest of the pack. And what the long-term effects of it were on the pack as well.

I received an advance review copy from Love Notes PR, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This is a fast-paced, why choose shifter romance with an interesting premise that caught my attention. I enjoyed the overall storyline, but there were a few moments that felt a little random or confusing, and I found myself wishing for more explanation. The book could have been slightly longer, with a bit more detail to help develop both the plot and the characters.

The story is told from Sammy’s single POV. She has a crush on her childhood best friend, Opal, and together they want to take down the evil Alpha, Kade due to his actions in the pack. Kade’s brother, Ben, who also despises him, joins their cause and helps train them to take Kade down. Sammy, Opal and Bens relationship was cute but felt too instant?

Overall, I think this is a good, easy read for anyone who enjoys werewolf romances. It’s light, fast-paced, and not overly intense, making it a great choice if you’re looking for something quick and entertaining.

Three Werewolf Moon is a FFM Why Choose novella - short and sweet (and a little spicy!) told in Jenna’s signature immersive and heartwarming style!

This felt like a cute little side quest within Jenna’s paranormal fantasy universe. It was a satisfying story of perseverance, hope, and finding strength and motivation in community. I didn’t mind the length at all as it made for a fun afternoon of reading. And if we ever get to hook back up with Sammy, Opal, and Ben- I would not be disappointed because I LOVE their dynamic! The best friends to lovers was so sweet, and Ben’s support of both Sammy in her mental health journey and Opal in her challenge of Kade truly made my heart SOAR!

Of course a Jenna story wouldn’t be complete without a fluffy beloved animal companion and Zesty the raccoon rose to the occasion making this animal lover want to become bffs with a raccoon!

I was delighted to be picked as an ARC reader for this book and it was a good novella.

I loved how it was truly more plot then smut as why choose novellas seem to always be the other way round. Because it's a novella, I don't want to give spoilers since it's only 100 some odd pages but the author did a good job truly making me hate the villian. The villian doesn't get the girl in this one, the girl gets the girl and the villian brother 🩷 . I was actually wondering if this book would end in a tragedy with the way the author kept up the suspense of it all. Fighting for the right to be the alpha, and THANK YOU again to the writer for making it a female alpha because you truly don't see it in books it was refreshing. This was my first book by this author and I cannot wait to read more from them. Thank you to the author for allowing me to be an arc reader for you.

I really enjoyed this book..it was a shorter read but it still had lots of action. Kade was a self absorbed alpha hole, he was the epitome of alpha holes. Then there was Sammy and Opal, Opal was the Alpha..which I have only read about 3 books with female Alphas and I am all for it! Sammy is a Beta (i think?) Then there is Ben, Kade's half brother...I believe he is an Alpha too but he isn't an Alpha hole like his brother. I can't say much without giving away the whole book but I enjoyed it...some things were vague and not entirely explained but you can kind of piece together things as you go so it doesn't take away from the actual story. I will definitely be looking for more books by this author.

And goes straight into the story of betrayal and heartache for the Silver woods pack.

A wonderfully paced novella!

Although at a glance this a story of a pack trying to regain their home after a hostile takeover.

Its truly at its core a story of finding love and hope and discovering happiness after trauma.

Samantha is a well written lead with really believable character, she is strong and determined yet still holds herself back and lives on the edge, showing true traits of someone who has experienced trauma and living with PTSD.

I truly enjoyed this, would love to visit more of these characters in the same world

Thank you so much to Love Notes PR and the author for this ARC.

Three Werewolf Moon is a paranormal FFM novella about three people taking how a cruel alpha who killed their previous one. Kade (our evil alpha) is cruel and vindictive. Sammy (our POV character) hates him and has a crush on her best friend Opal (daughter of the previous alpha). Ben is the newcomer to the pack who hates Kade (brother of Kade).

Overall, this book was just okay. Nothing special or impressive. It was a fast read and I had an okay time. It felt like I was reading one of my werewolf wattpad stories from when I was 12 (but with much better writing). Predictability isn’t inherently a bad thing and ultimately it did what I wanted it to do. I want a quick, relaxing read and that’s what I got.

spoilers below:
—————————

My only issue comes from Sammy’s sister Sarah. Sarah left the pack before Kade came because her ex-boyfriend dumped her for his mate. The end of this book sets up a potential sequel about the sister but that’s not my issue. We only get occasional references to Sarah, about how Sammy has heard from her since she left and how it’s too hard to even think about. The ending indicates that this ex boyfriend did horrible things to her, which likely explains why Sammy hasn’t heard from her in weeks but every mention of Sarah felt disjointed and like it made no sense with the rest of the story.

Ultimately, I enjoyed it enough that if there is going to be a sequel, I’d read it. If you want a quick, chill read, then give this a go!

Three Werewolf Moon was a quick read, only took a couple of hours to finish.
It had a great storyline but I was definitely left wanting more as it felt pretty rushed and had a lot of potential for more story.
Some themes you'll find in this book include:
🌙 FFM romance
🌙 Alpha battle
🌙 Werewolf romance
🌙 Chosen mates
🌙 Best friends to lovers
🌙 Strangers to lovers
🌙 Forbidden romance

i didn’t totally dislike this book but i didn’t love it. the plot fell short because there was way too much happening in such a short amount of time. the book starts with the fmc explaining how her sister ran away and there’s pretty minimal drive to try to find the sister and there’s no discussion until the end of the book about it. the multiple mates aspect didn’t bother me but the lack of chemistry between any of the characters was palpable. the writing fell flat and it felt rushed. it feels like there was too many plots happening at once and they were wrapped up way too quickly. i feel like with the plots it could’ve been a longer novel or two separate novellas.

thank you jenna booth and love notes PR for the arc 💛

The idea of this book is definitely there and I was really excited for it but the context just wasn’t there. I know it’s a novella but people were introduced without knowledge of them and then it continued on super fast paced. I wanted more consequences for Kade and there was not much relationship development for the main characters. Overall this book wasn’t really for me but it was a good concept.

Thank you to LoveNotes PR for this ARC!

I usually really enjoy fast paced books especially with novellas but this is one of those books where I actually wish it was a full length story just because I wanted more depth and backgrounds of the characters. Even though there was a reason why the main focus was overtaking Kade as the alpha, I wanted to see more chemistry between Sammy, Opal and Ben.

The connections in this book completely stole my heart 🥹 Samantha and Opal’s bond was so special, and I loved how deeply they understood and showed up for each other. Their relationship was built on years of trust and genuine care, which made seeing their friendship evolve into romance feel so natural. Their slow-burn transition felt deserved, and I was absolutely rooting for them the whole way through! 💕

Absolutely love this book. I love that it was a why choose with FFM. I really loved the whole shifter theme everything that was involved. Absolutely loved the world that was filled up I love the characters and how everything played out. I just really enjoyed this book it's something different than I usually read so it was just very entertaining. I did read through it very quickly cuz it was a novella and I just can't speak enough of its praises.

This novella was a quick and fairly entertaining read. Everything felt a little shallow and rushed. It would have been beneficial to get a little more depth with the characters, their histories, their interactions and eventual romance… Overall it was enjoyable but I didn’t feel a strong connection to the characters or the story.

Thank you Love Notes PR for the ARC.

While marketed as a ffm werewolf romance. You could completely take out the romance aspect of this and it'd be the same book except for two little bits. Also a lot of focus on the sister who ran away but I never felt anything towards her because it is such a short book I could careless about the sister. I think it was just too short of a book for the storyline and romance that was introduced.

A quick and enjoyable novella. If you’re looking for a fast-paced paranormal themed reading break, this is perfect. Werewolf drama, romance, why choose, and even some mental health exploration, all in only 130 pages. I’d take more stories from the pack and these characters! Thanks to Love Notes and the author for an advanced copy to read.

I was able to receive an ARC for Three Werewolf Moon by Jenna Booth and LoveNotesPR. I love reading novellas. This book had a little bit of everything. I loved the build up to the relationship and to the main story. It also talked about mental health and how it was affecting the characters. It was a quick read but everything flowed for me.

A fast paced why choose FFM novella that was entertaining to read the whole way through!
I loved seeing Sammy get her girl (and guy) and the way they had to team up with Ben to make things right for the pack.

I also enjoyed the softer and the emotional connection we seen between the three towards the end of the book.
