Featuring an easy-to-use guide that lists and describes the attributes of goddesses and angels, this magical journey visits a vast array of exotic locales where the author reveals powerful messages, gives psychic readings, and receives messages from merpeople and the new Rainbow Children. 20,000 first printing.
Doreen Virtue has a PH.D. in counselling Psychology, is fourth generation meta physician and works with the Angelic elemental and ascended masters in her writings, and she also does workshops on angel therapy.
She has written over 20 books on many subjects including Rainbow children, Chakras and Angels. She also designed the angel cards that are becoming increasingly popular, she also has website angeltherapy.com .
The first and main part of the book is about the authors spiritual journey and how different Goddesses and Angels helped her along the way. She travels to some pretty interesting and sometimes exotic places too including Sedona, Hawaii, the Polynesian Island of Moorea, and Lourdes, she even visits a goddess temple in Glastonbury England (the town not the festival). She also discusses her discoveries about the new rainbow children (children with strong psychic powers often misdiagnosed with ADHD, or ADD to American readers), The Merpeople and Lemuria.
The second (and much smaller) section is about the Goddesses and Angels themselves, and what situations you should call on them to help you with, this part is easy to use and understand. The Goddesses and Angels particular powers are all listed in one part as a chart, and then all the Goddesses are listed in a another section with a small write up about them. She only talks about the major Goddesses, but a book about all of them would be massive so I can understand why.
I found this book very useful and got a lot from reading it personally, I found many parts of Doreen's spiritual journey quite moving to read about and would recommend this book to anyone who wants to find out more about The Goddesses and Angels and how to call upon them for assistance.
I was expecting it to be a little more about how to personally connect with Angels and Goddess energy. Instead it turned out to be a series of stories about Doreen's own encounters. While I enjoyed the stories and did learn a lot from them, it wasn't what I was expecting! Nonetheless, I did find it a very spiritually uplifting and awakening book, and I was inspired. At times the book had a lack of focus as Doreen had too many subjects to write about and skipped back and forth from one topic or subject to another. All in all though, I liked it and would recomend it to others who like this type of book.
I like much of Doreen's stuff. I am comfortable with angels and even a little goddess or dolphin energy, but I just can't wrap my mind around mer people, pagan goddesses and leprechauns. Her extensive list of angels and goddesses is just overwhelming. I want simplicity. Just give me Father, Son, Holy Ghost, Heavenly Mother and maybe a couple of guardian and other angels. They should be able to handle anything.
When I first read this book, I wasn't exactly ready for it. It took me a little time to soak in all the ideas and beliefs Doreen was sharing. By the end of the book, though, I really liked it and plan to read it again soon since I have grown so much this past year and am definitely more open minded then I was when I first read it.
I have really enjoyed reading these books....They are like reading real fairy tales. Doreen's world is full of magic and hope and it's easy to connect into this with her when you read her books.....
So far I've enjoyed Angel Medicine and her book about working with the Fairies....(which I initially thought sounded silly - but was fantastic!)....
This is an amazing book. It's a true eye-opener, so anyone who reads it needs to have a super open mind to really catch everything. It also has some great information and approaches to feeling upset at ourselves and others.
It is a conscious effort to constantly remember to listen to your inner voice(s), lose all fears, make clear choices and to always trust and have faith. This book is teaching me how to stay aware and how to step deeper into my power.
An easy read. Mainly about her experiences and some hi-level information regarding some "characters" from the past that you may or may not have heard of in legends and stories. I loved her description of her experience of Lourdes in France. It's a place that I've put on my "Must Visit" list.
Doreen Virtue can come across as a complete fruitcake...I admit that I often laugh out loud at some of her statements...others I find interesting and others still ring true. This particular book is rather entertaining in a fragmented kind of way.
This was the first book I read by Doreen Virtue, and I can honestly say, I felt like many of the things in her life were parallel to things that had happened in mine, and have become a huge fan of her from this book!
I find all of Doreen's books interesting for their point of view. However, this book didn't do it for me. I don't buy into the premise that I have to pray to specific "spirits" to help me with specific types of problems. So perhaps this book was not a good choice for me.
I love Doreen and I love this book! It is fascinating, especially the links between dolphins humans. It was read at the start of my spiritual journey and it gave me so much
Engaging book written via a friendly, matter of fact dialogue that shares how the author manifests and experiences goddesses and angels her life, with an explanatory synopsis at the back.
A very good book, but when reading, one must keep in mind that the author writes in teaching parables about her own life to show what can happen when angels are invited in. Otherwise the author can come across as bragging. A very good description of several well known goddesses throughout various faiths.
