A dark romance fever dream that grabbed me by the throat and refused to let go
I don’t even know how to explain this book without sounding like I need to be evaluated, but if you’ve read it… you get it. And if you haven’t? Please hurry up because I need a discussion circle, a Facebook group, a group chat, a hotline ....something.
I picked this up thinking, “Cute little dark romance novella.”
No.
This book said “buckle up, babe” and threw me into a wall.
I read it in one sitting. Under two hours. Didn’t blink. Didn’t breathe. Didn’t move. When I finished, I just sat there like… Tora. Be for real.
Let me set the scene:
You’re in college.
You’re engaged... but it’s giving “we’re doing this for stability, not passion.”
You grew up watching your mom stay with a man because she had no financial safety net.
So you decide to create your own.
By selling your virginity for $100,000.
Already messy. Already chaotic. Already giving “girl, no.”
But then…
The man running the agency sees you once and becomes obsessed.
Not “interested.”
Not “intrigued.”
Obsessed.
Like “I will eliminate anyone between us” obsessed.
And when I say eliminate?
I mean ELIMINATE.
The plot twists?
I was getting whiplash.
The dress in the closet? I screamed.
The Dove soap? I had to put the Kindle down.
Rita? I didn’t see that coming before OR after.
And that ending?
Hannibal Lecter meets demon possession meets ‘girl RUN’.
I closed the book and immediately wanted to grab Tora by her edges and say:
“Ma’am. Where is book two. RIGHT NOW.”
This novella is unhinged, chaotic, dark, addictive, and absolutely deranged in the best way.
I am not even a dark romance girlie like that, but I devoured this like it was a snack.

I love an unhinged man, and baby Sebastian was very unhinged!! Sebastian and his brother, I’d def love to have more of a backstory on them because baby!!! Two very strange brothers! 😂😂😂
I did enjoy the storyline, was very fast paced, but since it is a novella I was like whatever. The plot and suspense of this story kept me reading and wanting to know what was going to happen next. But it ends on a crazy cliffhanger… 😒

Really enjoyed this. The two male characters were some of the most unhinged men I’ve ever read. Idk I’m still new to this or the characters really pushed limits for me here lol
Despite them being unhinged I LOVED them. Writing was straight to the point, and formatting of the story was also good, I guess I wish I had a bit more details fleshed out for some things but that’s just me being greedy.

I absolutely do not like Cliffhangers. UGHHH. This story could have been finished in another 100 or so pages. Now I have to wait.

Okay, so listen… when my girl dropped this one, I was fully prepared for the mess… or so I thought 😂. Author Tora had me CACKLING through most of this book.
Was it spicy? Absolutely 😮💨. Were the MMCs unhinged? Baby, YES. But the twists and turns? I was NOT ready.
This man really decided that this woman was going to be his and whether she agreed with the arrangement or not was apparently a problem for another day 😭. Sir just showed up and expected everything to fall into place like he had already been invited.
And then his brother?! Oh my goodness. I was so shocked at some of the things that man did. And listen, when you get to the part with the black dress, PLEASE message me because I need to know if you laughed as hard as I did. I was in tears.
One thing about Tora, she is going to give me some unhinged MMCs, some laughs, some heat, and enough foolishness to keep me turning pages. At this point, I'm convinced she could write the back of a cereal box and I'd read it because she never misses for me.

Micro read, but felt rushed
The concept of this book was great. Selling your virginity to the highest bidder is an amazing topic, but everything felt rushed. The entire plot was just given to you. Dad gave business to only one son, mother hates that son. Then the brother decides lets run a train on a virgin at almost 30 yrs old. Next, one brother is fully in love, stalking, kidnap and kill her fiance...because now hes a seriel killer...out of no where. Oh and btw the fiance is cheating, and he didnt get a chapter so he was a one dimensional character. Next, the brother is a cross dresser, and hell bent on killing brother... This is all a fire concept, but way too much for 117 pages. The pace was too fast, and it didn't allow you to even digest a reason for anything.

Tora!!!! Come outside sis cause we gotta talk this thing out cause WTF 🤬 gurllll you didn’t have to do that to me! So if I had the option of a service like this I would’ve took it given the way Jersey grew up and planning for your future. Jason was a nobody from beginning. Then you got the two brothers: Sebastian and Stone! The fact that one is blind to the jealousy and the other probably has a no real reason to be jealous is baffling. The monster inside them both had me fidgeting and I hardly scare easily lol! I know there’s more coming and I’m on pins and needles waiting!

I should've know when Tora came out with the soft contemporary romance she was setting us up...because what in Cray Cray did I just read this book is Dark romance ...I repeat this a dark romance full nutcases and betrayal. Whew Chile she know how to write psychopaths too danggone good. I literally was on the edge of my sit and yelling at my kindle at the same time. 5 stars Chile a must read expeditiously!

What Did I Just Read
This book completely threw me for a loop. It was like a rollercoaster starting off all calm. Then you tackle the hill when she loses her virginity to one while also engaging with another. The twists and turns are all of the things that occur between that and the final drop which is the ending. You get off the roller coaster shocked and confused at what you just read, yet you may want to do it again😂.

I have been patiently waiting for Author Tora’s next drop and I was not disappointed 🤌🏽 I cannot wait to continue this series. Sebastian is about to lose the lil bit of mind he has left, lmao . Stone knows that he needs to be in someone’s padded cell, him and his mammy . I can’t wait to see what happens next 💃🏽

Now why would it end like that!?
I would have given 4 stars but I hate a cliff hanger especially when it feels like it could have been wrapped up in one book. The plot was interesting. These brothers are twisted. Definitely kept me engaged. Just wish it didn’t end on a cliff hanger.

Idk 🤷🏾♀️ I wanted to love this really bad but it just was idk. Stone is horrible and annoying. Sebastian is my type I love a my wife after first meeting but his obsession i don’t even play like that. It’s not me comparing this is to her previous work buttttttt I was looking for that it it fell short for me.

I came across this book through booktok and OMG this was way better than what I expected. Now, it is spicy but everything flows so smoothly that you can’t help but to feel the spice and roll with it. I can’t wait to read past 2. Massive cliffhanger at the end of the book.

Now this is Dark, but I like it!?!!!
So I need part two!! Whew this book takes you on a ride from start to finish. The FMC Jersey is on a spicy mission that leads her to the bed of two brothers. From there we are taken on a fast paced ride filled with betrayal and lust. I can’t wait for more!

Sebastian was unhinged and so loveable…
Sebastian was definitely delusional and unhinged but Jersey loved it and she deserved his devotion. I can’t really say much about Stone but unliking him was immediate. I hate a cliffhanger BUT cannot wait for the next part if their story.

Author Tora never disappoint!
This book was a good a$$ time. From start to finish I enjoyed every chapter. I'm who more crazier Sebastian or Stone. Poor Jersey don't know what she got herself into.

I must say, this was definitely a true dark romance. Most dooks that are labeled as such, are usually not.
The contrast in characters is great. It's a new level of unhinged.
