Omg I LOVED THIS BOOK. I LOVE rom coms and am definitely a hopeless romantic so this was perfect. I was screaming in my head the entire book for them to get together, but I’m really glad with how it played out and how they got together. ALSO 10 things I hate about you is my fav movie so that scene was the cherry on top. I would 100% read anything else this author makes and recommend this book!

I AM OBSESSED !! I seriously can’t recommend this one enough. Perfect summer vibes and hilariously relatable characters. I want to read literally everything Anna writes, I couldn’t get enough of this one. This is your sign to put Out of Touch on your summer TBR immediately 💓💓
This book was amazing!! The writing was descriptive enough to know where you were and what was happening, but not so bad to where someone was being described in 500 words lol. For this being your first book is CRAZY!! As an aspiring author(ish), it makes me so happy to see when a book is actually published!
Also the humor in it is AWESOME😆 I was actually cackling and getting stares from my family🥲🥲 Jonah was probably the funniest character in the whole book I may need one just for him.
I love the homage to 10 Things I Hate About You with Josie reading to the class her journal entry!
My favorite part definitely has to be when Macen brings her grilled cheese for the first time to the pool and the other boys are super excited about frogs🤣🤣 the humor in that scene was perfection (especially when Ryan came over).
One of my favorite books I’ve read this year definitely!!!!!

I loved this book so incredibly much!! I sped through it in just a couple days. If you’re looking for a cutesy end of summer ya read then this I’d highly recommend this one! While everyone won’t love every book I recommend here are reasons why I loved this!
The characters- Josie was such a relatable character in so many ways. ( at least to me ) she is a major over thinker . So much so that she overthinks almost every interaction she and the Mmc had! She’s has a tight knit friend group. ( I’m talking two friends and sometimes her little sister ) Macen was a total boy next door type. He was practically perfect. Their chemistry was amazing!! One of my favorite parts was when he was so clearly jealous that another guy was crushing one her. And he might have been more of an over thinker than she was. Which might be why they’re perfect for each other. At times I was really frustrated at how clueless they both were about each other’s feelings. I was so anxious for them to get together ab they just kept getting interrupted. This is a high school romance so they really do feel like real teenagers and not acting too much like an adult to feel unrealistic. The side characters really made the story since it felt really character driven. My favorite side plot had to be Grace’s. The amount of drama in her life when she was the least dramatic person in the book was so interesting. And I kind of want a book from her POV! I loved the writing style and felt it was really similar to Lynn painters. The vibes were super summery and cozy and I loved every minute of reading this book. It was such a satisfying ending and I can’t wait to read whatever else this author publishes. 4.5 stars ⭐️ No spice ( some innuendo ) infrequent language ( around 7-8 f-words )
OMG I don’t even know where to start!!! Out of Touch had everything I want in a book. Relatable characters, summer vibes, cute friendships and a wholesome yet funny love story.
The way Anna writes dialogue needs to be studied because WOW I could not stop annotating!!! Every scene added so much to the book and I was either dying laughing or giggling and kicking my feet!! Josie is soooo relatable which had me rooting for her since the start! And Macen… WOW he’s sooooo perfect I wish he were real🥺🥺
Normally it takes me a while to get into a new book but that was NOT the case with Out of Touch. I was HOOKED since the first sentence of the prologue!!! And the meet-cute HELLOOOO I’m obsessed!!!
I need more Anna Cooney books NOWWWW!!!
Please do yourself a favor and read this book asap!!! You won’t be disappointed💖🍦✨
This book was so good. The writing was incredible and I loved the characters! I read it all in one night because I just couldn’t put it down! The character development was great and portrayed many problems that happen in real life. This was one of my favorite reads ever!
ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS IVE EVER READ!! it was so intriguing the whole time and i loved the music aspect of it!! both of the mcs were sooo interesting and i felt sooo seen by the fmc!! overall 5 star book and i totally recommend to anyone who wants a summer, romcom like read!!!🫶🫶
I LOVED this book it was perfect for a rom com lover and was such a cute romance! The slow burn was killing me but it made the ending so much more perfect
I loved it. I loved it I loved it I loved it. I was genuinely able to fly through this so easily, TALK ABOUT A FUN READ 😝 I love the characters so so much I feel seriously attached to them. Josie is every hopeless romantic I know and Macen is just the cutest green flag ever. My new children. ROM COM OF THE SUMMERRR EVERYONE PLEASE GO READ THIS
I loved this sm!!! I don’t read a lot, but I’m so glad I read this, I got so hooked I read it in a day. The meet cute is so silly and adorbs, and so was Macen’s love confession, I love that he uses the line from the song. The whole book for me was perfection, and overall gives major 2000s rom coms vibes. Its a perfect mixture of a cute love story with a lot of funny little moments and characters. Def recommend!! 🤭

this was the cutest summer read ever!!! every reference was perfectly on point and made me laugh out loud. it takes place in the 2020s and yet it has the cozy, wholesome feeling of a small town in a 2000s tv show. the characters were incredibly hilarious, especially jonah. he's genuinely insane. the accidental, drunken confession at the end was so sweet to me. i did not expect it to go like that at all, considering the many times amanda tried to "claim" macen (NOT mason! with a c). josie was incredibly relatable. i simply adore the contradiction of her being a hopeless romantic all while generally avoiding any contact with the male species lol. she's such a real, deep and interesting character. and do not get me started with our lover boy 💞💞💞 omg i wanna kick his dad where the sun doesn't shine for leaving him and his siblings! but despite all the pain, he manages to be kind and sweet. it's soooo refreshing to get a golden retriever LI for a change. i love bad boys but at a certain point, you've definitely had enough of them. a great friends to lovers book, very comforting. i heavily recommend reading this and supporting the author 🫶🏻 ps. josie having her kat stratford moment in english lit class = perfection

I loved this book sm! I thought this book was going to be really good, and somehow it was even better than I imagined. I knew it was going to be a 5-star read within the first few pages. There were so many moments in the book that genuinely made me laugh. The author did a very good job at making the setting and the characters feel real. It was also really creative and just fun to read. I definitely recommend this book and would read literally anything she writes.
