“I kind of hate this game.”

I’ve spent my whole life proving I’m more than what people see—more than the girl who doesn’t quite fit the mold. Then I get cast on a reality show. I finally have the chance to prove it. I can handle the strategy. I can even handle the challenges. But trusting someone? That’s where things get tricky. Especially when that someone is Jerom. Because the more time I spend with him, the harder it is to tell what’s real…and what is just part of the game.

Winning has never been a question for me—it’s the expectation. But on this reality show, there are no shortcuts, no guarantees, and no way to stay in control of everything. Especially not when a simple dance on the beach turns into something I didn’t see coming. Paisleigh makes me question the way I play the game…even the way I live my life. And for the first time, I’m not sure which risk matters more—the one that could cost me the win, or the one that could cost me her.

In a game built on strategy, secrets, and shifting alliances, trusting the wrong person can send you home. But trusting the right one? That might just change everything.

This book is such a fun read.
This book was at a perfect pace, I was always engaged and wondering what would happen next. Both Paisleigh and Jerom have been chosen as contestants for a reality show both trying for the two million dollar prize. However, both are more motivated by something other than money. Jerom wants to prove to his father that he can achieve something without dad’s help. Paisleigh wants to prove she can be bold but also to escape and distance between her and some cruel classmates. As the contestants form and break alliances, secrets are kept, trust tested, and relationships made and broken. Can anything lasting form under these circumstances? I received an early copy and this is my honest review.
