Fractured Rock Star #4

Zac is the bass play for mega rock band Fractured; Cassie is his guitar tech while on their current tour. Following a few unplanned events, these two find themselves not only sharing a tour bus space but also being in a fake relationship. What they couldn’t fake-the attraction they shared and connection they couldn’t pull away from.

I loved Zac, although he was so laser focused and hardworking-being apart of not one but two successful bands-he didn’t know that he could or really how to put his energy into anything else (mainly a real relationship). You could see the care he had for Cassie, but he didn’t think he was best for her. I wanted to shake him at times and tell him that his feelings are real and not discount then. At the same time you want to hug him and tell he deserves all the happiness and can have it all.
My heart both broke and sore for Cassie at the same time. I was so proud of her for getting the chance to be true to herself and live her dreams. Sad for all she went through, but she had to realize her own worth! Watching Cassie rediscover herself was beautiful.

Both Cassie and Zac never really has the best relationship role models growing up. I enjoyed hearing their back stories and what lead them to how they acted/felt as adults and how they viewed relationships.
Seeing their relationship develop, but also how much their personalities seemed to come through as the story went on and grew more comfortable with each other. I loved how attuned they were to each other feelings.
Their late night writing sessions were wonderful and all the tension they had…..🔥

It was great to revisit the rest of the Fractured couples.
Loved the addition of the Crossfire guys, they were lots of fun!

If you love a good rockstar tour romance, fake relationship, forced proximity, this is a top choice!
I love the whole Fractured series and Fracture Kiss was such a fantastic addition! Highly recommend this for a great read!
I enjoy this author so much, and can not wait to see what she writes next!

*Check for triggers*

This book gave me everything I was looking for: angst, push & pull, spice, a little heartbreak, and alllll the romance. I HIGHLY recommend listening to the song they sing at karaoke while your read that scene. I was tearing up from how romantic it was 🥺

I liked that this book was a rockstar romance, but had workplace romance mixed it. Cassie is Zac's guitar tech on tour and they fall together after things take a turn with Cassie's ex-fiancé. Zac and the band never looked down on Cassie, and they made sure to include her. I loved how they took care of her and included her in their world.

Cassie endured a lot in her life, but she never let it dim her light. Cassie was a little lost once she was confronted with her new reality, but she finds her way. I love that she found a passion outside of her partner.

Zac is such a sweet, yet infuriating rockstar. I said out loud at one point that he was so infuriating 😂 I understood where his fears stemmed from. I felt connected to him deeply when he talked about his parents and resentment.

The spice in this book is good. Zac has a piercing that I'm going to need to experience...for science purposes, obviously. Think Cassie will loan me her man for research purposes? 😂

Thank you to L.M. Dalgleish and Foreword PR for allowing me to review a complimentary copy of this book!

I might have read a different book because after enduring and finishing this, I don’t believe all the 4-5 stars it received.

Cassie has no dignity in her bone. She let Zac be hot and cold to her for about 90% of the book.

I was expecting some sort of emotional development but instead they had more sex than have a talk which is just disgusting.

I hate this kind of books. The man chases his career and be successful all the while making the woman his 2nd priority. Zac said so himself that music is gonna be his priority and that he loves it more than Cassie.
The woman keeps on pining on the man who clearly doesn’t want and love her enough, instead of focusing on her dreams. Why do authors write their woman like this?? Ugh 🤢

The ending surely was unsatisfactory given what I endured reading of Zac’s assholeness and indecisiveness.

Fractured Kiss is the 4th book of a great series and it's my favorite. LM Dalgleish had put her incredible talent to write amazing stories with wonderful characters to a brand new level. I am very much in love with Zach and Cassie and their journey to find each other.
I do not even feel sad as I often do at the end of a series I love, I feel fulfilled, happy and eager to discover what the author will write now. Maybe something about the Crossfire guys ?

Wow, just wow! I'm a huge fan of rockstar romance and I have several go to authors, this author included. This is the 4th book in her series and in my opinion, the best. Love, love, love this book!

This story features bass player Zac and guitar technician Cassie. Zac has been with Fractured for 13 years and is also the front man for another band that isn't quite as successful yet. He's fully invested in both, but not quite fully involved if that makes sense. He keeps himself from being emotionally involved with everyone, especially women. He isn't looking for love and doesn't want a relationship. He thinks living this way is the smart way to live. Then enter Cassie. She is engaged to Bryan, the guitarist for the opening band. When that relationship ends in the most betraying of ways, and she can no longer stay on the same tour bus as him, she finds herself staying on the same bus with her boss Zac and his band. The more time they spend together and the more they get to know each other, the harder it is to resist their mutual attraction. Cassie is the kind of girl who is looking for forever and Zac is the kind of guy looking for just for now. When they both give into temptation, they both know what the other is and isn't looking for, but go for it anyway, thinking they can each handle the outcome.

This was a delicious story of push and pull, with just the right amount of angst and emotion. When they finally give in, it was explosive! It was incredibly well written and flowed effortlessly. I loved that while Cassie wanted more, she was stronger in resisting when she needed to be and not a doormat for Zac to walk all over. I loved that Zac struggled with his feelings and didn't just suddenly change his opinions on love and relationships, that it took time and distance, along with the help of his friends, to get him to the happily ever after he and Cassie deserved. The whole story just came across as realistic and authentic. Again, this is the 4th book in the series and they are all great stories, but each can be read as a stand-alone if you don't want to start with the first. But if you enjoy rockstar romance, I absolutely recommend reading them all in order.

Rockstar romance ✅
Forced proximity ✅
Workplace romance ✅
Age-gap ✅
Steamy ✅
Happily ever after ✅

This is the fourth book in the Fractured Rock Star series. This can be read as a standalone, but why do that when you can read every member of the bands own book! Who doesn’t love a rock star romance?!?!?!? I know I do and L.M. Dalgleish did not disappoint! I felt like I was on tour traveling with the band!!

This story is about Cassie Elliot, the guitar tech and Zac Ford, Fractured’s lead bass guitarist. Cassie was traveling with her fiancé's band Blacklite, due to his band being the opening act for Fractured. One night after a performance Cassie stumbled upon a scene she never imagined would happen. As she ran from the sight before her eyes she literally runs right into the arms of Zac. Knowing Cassie can no longer stay on her fiancé's tour bus and there are no available bunks for her to sleep in, Zac allows her to crash on his band’s tour bus.

During the course of Cassie’s time on the tour bus, Zac begins to develop feelings for her, but he fights with everything he has to shove them down and to not let them fester and grow. Zac doesn’t believe in the idea of love. Love and relationships are not a priority on his list for happiness. He only has love for his music, fans, and bands (Fractured & Crossfire). Cassie on the other hand is all for love and relationships, even after her fiancé completely demolished her heart. To see how these characters struggled to control their feelings, emotions and attraction towards each other and the spicy scenes that ensued was everything!

This story had just the perfect amount of angst and emotions, to have you pulling and rooting for Zac and Cassie and their happily ever after!

I hope we get to see the guys from Zac’s other band, Crossfire, in the future!

I had not read any of the books in this series prior to this one, but this is one of my favorite books of 2022 so far. I had never read anything from this author before, but they are definitely on my radar now. This story had everything I wanted in a rock star romance. Zach is a tortured kind soul with unparalleled control. Cassie is too willing to give everything of herself to others to her detriment.
Zach is incredibly hot and the scenes where he turns it up are yummy. I loved the story and the dynamic between these two. This one will not disappoint.

I received an advanced copy of this book from Foreword PR for my honest review.

Nice ending to a good rockstar series. Zac has always been the most closed off of the band. He deals with a lot of hate coming from his bitter, drunken father.
Cassie was an outcast as a child, child of a prostitute and never good enough.
She’s Zac’s guitar tech and the fiancée to one of the opening band members. The fiancé cheats in his dressing room. She’s shattered.
Fractured allows her on to their bus. She and Zac circle each other. Get close. He pushes her away, time and again.
Never fear, there’s a HEA.

wow

Wow, just wow! I have loved this fractured series. Each of the books is its own story but I think I love Zac and Cassie the most. For Two people who had such horrible childhoods to find each other was incredible. I love how strong Cassie was with Bryan And didn’t let him walk all over her. I hope there will be more from these characters in the future

I have loved reading this series, and Zacs story, book 4, was worth the wait. It is possibly my favourite...... although that is a tough choice.

Zac and Cassie are just amazing to read, and watching them overcome the issues caused by their histories, and grow as individuals and a couple is beautiful.

Highly recommend this series

Nice

I like the story and the background. A little more original story as so many are the same old same old. I also get tired of 2 chapters of sex and that is most of the story line. Your characters are sweet and you love them all. Just glad you didn't dump the bands. I hate that. To act like musicians can't have a family life is so wrong.

I haven’t read many rock star romances but this one was very enjoyable. Zac was super sweet and I enjoyed watching his and Cassie’s relationship unfold. I loved the sexual tension and slow burn. Definitely would recommend adding this one to your tbr!

I received this book as an arc and am providing this review freely.

This book is journey with some lovely surprises I was not expecting. It was so wonderful to have glimpses of the other guys of Fractured. This story runs the gambit of emotions, and I loved every second of it. I picked up this series while doing research on Rockstar Romances for an episode of Buzzing about Romance and I am so glad I did. I am a fan of the author and I am excited to see what she writes next. If you are looking for a Rockstar romance that is heavily character driven with amazing HEA’s I recommend this series.

What a great finale to the series! Loved both Cassie and Zac and the gradual development of their relationship - I was totally invested. The friendship and support between all the girls was lovely to see as well. The writing, as per usual for this series, was excellent.

Now that the Fractured band members have all found their soulmates, I wonder who will be next!

Heart-tugging and emotional!

One thing to suspect your man is cheating on you, but it's a whole different thing to walk in and SEE Bryan screwing the other woman right in front of you.

Cassie took off running and crashed right into Zac of mega rock band, Fractured. Although he doesn't mind comforting or working with Cassie, rock star, Zac doesn't do relationships either.

Although this story was really interesting, it was about 100 pages too long, with Zac going back and forth about how he really felt about Cassie.

LANTA!

Phenomenal is the only word I can use to describe Fractured Kiss. Now this author has a special talent, she drew me right into Zac and Cassie’s story. I don’t know if I’ll ever be the same. “Book Hangover” beware! Two tortured souls, one thinking he doesn’t deserve love and the other loves to much. Well I loved all of it! It’s a hit and miss game when picking up a book from a author you’ve never read before, but this one was definitely a HIT! Delgleigh takes you into the rock and roll world delivers an unbelievable heart wrenching story of betrayal, new friendship, new love, and heartbreak all in one amazing story line.

Cassie Elliott, guitar tech for Lead Bass player for Fractured, Zac Lord has just seen the unspeakable that has upset her entire world and runs into (literally) her boss in tears. Talk about being at the right place at the right time. Cassie and Zac’s life will never be the same. (I get giddy just thinking about all their interactions).

If you’re into rockstar romances like I am then you’ll need to read this book, I highly recommend it. Another book going on my best of 2022 😙🤌🏻.

Fractured Kiss is the fourth book in the Fractured Rock Star adult contemporary romance series and can be read as a standalone. It's a steamy, angsty, slow-burn, fake relationship/forced proximity love story with no cheating, no cliffhangers, and a guaranteed happily ever after (HEA).

Cassie was Zac’s guitar tech and her fiancé Bryan had just broken her heart. She runs into Zac, literally and he shelters her from her fiancé. She’s been with Bryan since she was sixteen and she doesn’t seem to have anyone else.
Poor Zac he and the rest of the Fractured guys help out Cassie by allowing her to stay on their bus but every day it’s getting more and more difficult for Zac having to share this bus. He has feelings for her and he’s trying his best to stomp those feelings. But you know how it goes, you can run but you can’t hide. Zac doesn’t do love but we all know he’s going to have an epic fall because the bigger they are the harder they fall. Throughout this story I hated Bryan but I was wrong about him. He messed up big time but he had a valid reason, and just like that I want to read more about him. I’m also going to need more Crossfire in the future. I loved this story and the ending was delicious. I’m giving this book five stars and highly recommending it. This is book four of this series and I’m going to miss these guys.

What an absolutely fabulous read! I am a total sucker for a good rockstar romance.ance and this is up there with the best! Zac and Cassie sparkle as characters. They felt so alive to me. Their experiences, their hearts, Zac's reluctance have more, Cassie's desire to find the one and her HEA...what a great push and pull! The book is written with a confidence and skill that ensures the reader's total engagement and I was definitely all in. This four book series has been brilliant...and what a gorgeous epilogue😍🥰💖💖💖💖💖

The Fractured Rock Star series is one of the best you will read...each book is full of so many emotions you will need tissues, but the best part is how each book is focused on love, friendships and family!! Can't recommend strongly enough!!

I read this book in one night! An absolute page turner from the first chapter. I immediately fell in love with both of the main characters and was rooting for them the whole time. Their motivations and characters were believably complex, and I was so glad that Cassie had a side goal besides finding love/romance. It's also pretty spicy of a book, and those scenes did not disappoint!

Swoon worthy rockstar romance. Zac and Cassie were pure fire. Out of all of the Fractured series, this one was probably my favorite. That is saying a lot as all 4 were remarkable. Do yourself a favor and fall in love with Fractured.

I found myself struggling to finish this book. The FMC let herself be used for sex because the MMC “needed it” more than talking about their relationship, etc.

I enjoyed her blooming success and finding out what her path was but it felt rushed and like an afterthought. I wish her dreams and goals had taken the front.

Lastly, the FMC forgave waaaaay too easily. Zac left her for four months. FOUR MONTHS. No contact and just ambushes her outside of the recording studio and tells her he wants to be with her. She tried to break herself in those four months and she just says, “OKAY”?!? There was not enough groveling and she didn’t stand up for herself enough. It was always about him and his feelings. He never took hers into consideration. Only when he got the green light from his band(s) that he didn’t have to choose something or someone over another, did his eyes light up and he found a way to inch back into her life and plant himself at the foot of her bed like a chocolate covered dessert. An unwelcome chocolate covered dessert with a little bit of mold on it.

I’m just annoyed with FMCs molding themselves, their time and their emotions to that of what the MMCs want/desire. I’m sick of watching them just destroy themselves, pick themselves back up and pivot back to the trash that strung them along, with unyielding forgiveness. Make him prove it and earn it before dropping all the plates you’ve had to glue back together by yourself.

I love reading books by fellow authors in my favorite genre. LM Dalgleish and I started our author journeys around the same time, and I finally was able to read her books over the past couple of months. I wish I hadn’t waited. I feel like I’ve found my soul sister!

I loved the premise of this story, and especially love it when women are shown as capable musical techs. Musicians and their techs develop such a closeness on the road, and it’s a very cool and different path. Big props!!

All of the Fractured books are extraordinarily compelling, well written and so enjoyable to read they are hard to put down once you start.

Well done!!!

Ok so I have seen this book all over and when I say all over I mean all overrrr Bookstagram and I took the plunge thank goodness this was such a good read! I enjoyed the character development in this and the self love in there too a real win for me!

The music aspect, loved it! So if I am in the mood I actually enjoy reading with music on. Probably crazy right..? If the songs match the book it’s amazing it almost brings an extra layer to a story for me, so when the author references a song I sometimes stop and listen to it so I really get the atmosphere and daymnnn the karaoke bar gave me goosebumps!!!

I think if I was to be picky maybe there could have been more with the ex but it worked well, sometimes I like a fear moment in a romance where they wake up and smell the coffee as it where after a panic or accident but this story didn’t need it I guess.

I need to check but I think I went and read a book from the end of a series again .. I didn’t think to check I just saw it all over bookstagram and started reading it whoops!

Spice Rating: 3🔥
It had spice for sure but again there was amazing content for the little things in a relationship like the looks and the way they just knew something about each other by the eyes or the way they held themselves.

So the spice aspect was near perfect in this for me just enough ahha

Format: the guy on the cover very intimidating stare I didn’t see the MMC like this so I struggled to match the 2, sometimes I prefer there not to be a model on the front as you can let the character grow with your imagination.

Favourite Quote: “I will be forever, grateful for being the right fucking place at the right fucking time.”

Ok so anyone else love this whole fare thing they had going on they just knew each other so well and the chemistry ugh magical, I definitely relate to the right place at the right time maybe one day I will spill my own first meet romance story with you all! Xx

4.25 Stars!

Being new to Ms.Dalgleish's work i've been wanting to pick up her books for quite some time now. As soon as Fractured Kiss was announced it piqued my interest right away and i couldn't wait to read it! I picked it up as soon as i could and jumped into the Fractured Rock Star world! I so enjoyed this story!

Zac and Cassie's journey pulled me in right from the get go! I loved the whole bass player and guitar tech aspects of this story! That along with many other things in this book brought such a breath of fresh air. I really liked how these two were brought together and getting to see how their fake dating would all play out.

The chemistry between these two was so great! I really enjoyed the way Zac and Cassie had me feeling so many emotions throughout! I was so glad that i got to dig deeper with them as well!

It was so awesome being in this world! I could picture it all so clearly and i couldn't get enough of that.

With Fractured Kiss, Ms.Dalgleish has created such a good and unique rockstar romance that had all kinds of feels and kept me hooked! I'm kicking myself for not having picked up her work sooner. I can't wait to dive back into the Fractured Rock Star world with the three previous installments!

Fractured Kiss by L.M. Dalgleish is the last book in the Fractured Rock Star series, but the books can be read as standalones, each focusing on the love story of one of the members of the rock band Fractured. The premise of this volume is the only one that really caught my attention and, to be honest, I think this is one of the best romance books I’ve read recently.
We follow Zac, the band’s bassist, a very closed-off man who doesn’t believe in long-term relationships and, because of past traumas, refuses to open his heart. But his walls start to crumble when his tech, Cassie, is betrayed by her fiancé and, due to circumstances, ends up having to stay close to Zac.
The novel gives us both perspectives, and the narration is in third person—something rather rare in this genre, but I feel like this aspect actually helped turn the story into something so beautiful and profound. Both characters have traumas, and both navigate what they feel for one another, and I loved the way both Zac and Cassie grew throughout the story.
Some moments felt a bit rushed, and others might have seemed weak in my opinion had they happened under different circumstances. As a result, I was completely invested in the story and deeply empathized with the characters’ emotions and struggles. I’ll definitely be reading more books by this author—she’s won me over.
