Good story. The author has a different writing style that I’m not used to but intriguing enough to keep me glued. It is a slow burn and totally went in a direction I didn’t see coming. With each word written you could see the fear of being found out and the uncertainty of what Anne really wants in her life. It’s only meeting Jesse that Anne finally realizes what she absolutely wants. The trick is figuring out how to keep Jesse with everything going on in Anne’s life. I love how Anne finally makes up her mind what she wants most.
This book was a very pleasant surprise. Do not be fooled by the cover photo, the judge who is one of the main characters is not like the person on the cover. The characters and the story is well crafted by the author, taking the reader along at a good pace. You would become deeply invested in Anne and Jesse's love story. This book was a pleasure to read.
I was thoroughly surprised by the story. I've had some questionable experiences in the past with independent authors who don't review their works. I can't tell you how much I enjoy a well written story. Thank you.
