Tilly Everhart has a gift for fixing other people’s problems.
As the voice behind the magical ‘Hex Hotline’, she spends her days calming magical mishaps and mending broken hearts through chaos with a sprinkle of charm (and a lot of pink). But when it comes to her own life? Tilly’s a master of unfinished puzzles, abandoned beginnings, and avoiding anything that might actually matter.
Nate Wilder is the last person who needs more chaos. A single father raising a magically unpredictable son, he’s running on exhaustion, responsibility, and sheer stubborn will. Magic isn’t in his comfort zone and definitely not something he trusts.
But when his son’s powers spiral out of control, Nate finds himself calling the one person who might be able to help...
As Tilly and Nate are pulled into each other’s lives, what starts as quiet trust becomes something far more dangerous. Hope. But with messy pasts, fragile hearts, and magic that refuses to behave, they’ll have to Do they keep running from the life they’re afraid to build or finally risk finishing something that might actually last?
Because sometimes, the scariest magic of all is letting yourself be loved.

This was my first Georgia Perry book, but it absolutely will not be my last. In fact, I’m already hoping this is just the beginning because I desperately need Cleo and June’s stories too.

This book took me through every emotion possible. I laughed, got angry, cried, and smiled more than I think I ever have while reading a single book. The emotional depth packed into these pages was incredible, and every moment felt meaningful.

What stood out most to me was how easy the characters were to connect with—whether they were the ones stealing my heart or the ones I loved to hate. They felt real, flawed, and beautifully written. Watching their growth unfold throughout the story made the journey even more impactful.

I honestly don’t know how Georgia Perry managed to fit so much heart, emotion, and character development into just 269 pages, but she did it flawlessly. This book completely captured me, and I finished it feeling deeply attached to these characters and their world. I’m officially in love with her writing.

I thought this story was cute! It made me laugh and I would have given it a five star . I think Tilly is adorable. She helps others with their magical mishaps and such on a hex hotline. She helps a single non-magical Dad , Nate, with his Magical son .I didn’t give it five stars because I think the writer can do better . I need more of her Dad and Mom and the story behind why they are not together. I liked that Tilly’s relationship with her Mom was explained. Her Mom criticizes her all the time . The fact that her Mom did this when she was younger is emotionally abusive . Unfortunately it is very common. Nate talks about the physical abuse of his ex and mother of his child . Woman being physically abusive towards men is not always talked about. It was good to bring this topic awareness. The way she is abusive to his kid emotionally and physically is another topic that needs awareness .
I loved the other character development and would love to read more books about her friends. The friendship among these three woman is something to be admired . They show woman praising women and building their friends up. The ladies can have friendships with each other and be in a different stage of life . The loyalty and forgiveness shown by the friends is what friendship is about.
I like the idea of people who can do magic and those that are non-magical .
I am a sucker for Rom-coms and a “Hallmark “ endings. So this was right up my alley!

Blown away by this book. I went in hoping for a fun cosy paranormal romance and ended up getting something that made me laugh and cry. The writing is so snappy and funny, and the humour landed perfectly for me throughout.
Tilly was such a relatable FMC. She's a tiny bit awkward, a tiny bit chaotic, and honestly... absolutely my brand. The grumpy/sunshine dynamic worked really well too and I found myself getting invested in her and Nate ridiculously quickly.
I absolutely adored Marjorie the tabby kitten and Levi. Levi completely stole scenes whenever he appeared and I loved seeing the relationship dynamics build around him.
Starfall City was also one of those settings that felt properly lived in. It was detailed enough that you could genuinely imagine yourself wandering around there for a weekend visit.
Also, "the man shaped like an angry breadstick" made me snort laugh and will now live in my head forever.
There were some emotional moments that genuinely got me, and I loved seeing Tilly's parents finally step up and support her when she needed it. Overall this ended up being such a lovely read and I adored the ending.

"A Unique and interesting Magic Romance"

The story is exciting and interesting. The characters are awesome.
Tilly is a spunky young witch with sometimes Wonky magic. She uses her magic knowledge to help people. She runs a help line called Hex Hotline. One day she goes to the local laundromat. Where she accidentally loads her pink laundry in with a sexy mans. Which results in turning his shirts pink!
Nate is a sexy single human dad. His washer goes on the Fritz. So he had to take his work shirts to the local laundromat. Where he meets Tilly and discover she had turned his work shirts pink! He gets some what upset. But just takes his shirts and leaves.
Nate's son has magic, but it keeps going haywire. Which keeps getting him in trouble at school. One of Nate's friends suggested he contact Hex hotline. When he contacts Tilly nether him or her know the met earlier.
It seems fate might want these two together. You will love this five star plus magical story.

A good story about being different, about finding your place in the world and staying true to yourself no matter how hard it is. It also explores the dynamic of parents and children, the way understanding changes with age into adulthood, and the hurt a person who should never have been a parent can do.

I think I liked Nate most, but Tilly comes a close second.

Oh boy. Dial 1 For Magic was rough. Two stars because the story had potential, but the execution was not great. The book needs to be heavily edited and read for consistency and making sure everything works. Back stories need to be fleshed out more and the story needs to be less choppy. Overall, not a great read. And in case you were wondering, it’s almost entirely closed door with vague hinting.

The cover and title of this book captured my interest immediately and the contents didn’t fail to disappoint. The author has a wonderful ability to bring her characters to life and I had an instant pull to the colourful nature of Tilly and the fiercely protective single-father Nate. A feel good romance book with a sprinkle of magic and pink - what’s not to love!

All Tilly ever wanted, was to help people. Her pink-loving heart is the happiest, when she helps solve another magical emergency for one of the callers to her 'Hex Hotline'.So once she gets a call from a father at the end of his rope, seeking help for his magical son, she can't say no.

Nate doesn't have time for pink laundry disasters, or beautiful women that talk his ear off. He needs to focus on helping his son, and as a non-magical person, his options are limited. In desperation he reaches out to the Hex Hotline - and finds answers for more than just the question 'how can I help my boy?'

I simply love this story. It made my heart warm! Georgia built a world where love blooms slowly and beautifully! This will make you feel good, laugh, cry and at the end, be very glad that you reached for this book!
