Stolen Families. Magic. War. As families are stolen away and magic seems to corrupt the selfish and turn them into fools, there is a constant threat of war between two kingdoms. There’s suspense around every corner, and six people are constantly running from fear, lust, agony, and mistrust. Enemies and comrades are made. Those who seem to be of no use become purposeful. In the Land of Treth, change is dawning. Six people come together to meet the mysteries as they near: Llat Whiteburg and his fellow Guard Niw Celvin, Indie Yako and her new acquaintance Zygmunt Cislo, and Crolock Elimiz and his first friend Axelia Sirah. This is only the beginning.
I recommend this book to people who like fantasy books. It's a good story that follows different people's paths, which I find interesting when they come together. It's different, since love isn't a main focus in this book, which is usually what I read. All the characters are interesting and feel real, since they're based off real-life people.
