USA Today and Amazon best-selling author Anna Lowe loves putting the "hero" back into heroine and letting location ignite a passionate romance. She likes a heroine who is independent, intelligent, and imperfect — a woman who's doing just fine on her own. But give the heroine a good man (not to mention a chance to overcome her own inhibitions) and she'll never turn down the chance for adventure, nor shy away from danger.

On any given weekend, you might find her hiking in the mountains or hunched over her laptop, working on her latest story. Either way, the day will end with a chunk of dark chocolate and a good read.

My Thoughts - Story
It has been a long time since I’ve read a ‘shifter’ book and I’m so happy it was Desert Fate that opened that genre back up to me again. Not only because it was a light and quick read but because the story had more to do with the romance building between Kyle and Stef.

What drew me in? It was the wolf contradicting the characters ‘intelligent’ thoughts. The wolves words were primal and fierce – they fought against Kyle and Stef the whole time. They knew what they wanted and didn’t care what obstacles were in the way.

Mine. Mate.

Yeah, those words may be simple, but it said so much in this story.

Re-Cap
The last thing Kyle was expecting was a blast from his past in the form of a newly bitten shifter. Stef and Kyle spent about a year together when they were younger and bonded quickly…but life tore them apart again and after all these years, it can only be destiny that brings them back together…and as both shifters!

But there is a problem…the shifter who changed Stef wants her to be HIS mate.

~ 4.5 Desert Fate Stars ~

“There’s more than meets the eye on Twin Moon Ranch, home to a pack of shapeshifting wolves willing to battle for life and love.” -  The Wolves of Twin Moon Ranch Series

Desert Fate is book three in The Wolves of Twin Moon Ranch by Anna Lowe. All the books so far can stand-a-lone. This was my first experience with this series and ALowe. She blew me away with her writing and captivated me with her characters.

I like reading about werewolves and I enjoy the different takes on how they can be portrayed. ALowe captivated me from the beginning to the end. I could not put this book down. I become so engrossed in her characters lives that I felt everything with them; when they were frustrated, sad, mad, hopeful etc… It’s such an emotional joining that Kyle and Stefanie take.

Stefanie had made a great life for herself, but things are ripped apart and her life has been turned upside down. She does not know what to feel, how to deal with what she is becoming or what that is, but something inside will guide her. I felt for Stef and her situation. Nothing was in her control and Kyle is the only thing that was keeping her grounded, but she does not fully understand yet why.

Kyle is a sexy alpha, strong, and has a good sense of justice. He was changed into a wolf not by choose and has found a niche in the pack, but still does not truly feel like Twin Moon Ranch is home. I felt for him. His frustrations, his fears, and hope that maybe Stef is that one and just maybe they can belong and make a home.

Stefanie and Kyle complemented each other completely and I loved how their relationship grew and changed from friends to mates. The chemistry between them was fabulously done. The plot was small, but significant enough to add tension for everyone and also shows us that not all packs are good.

The only thing I don't like is no one is explaining fully what it is to be a changeling wolf and what the laws are. From what I understand women who are changed against their will, have very little chooses, if any, which makes it feel a little barbaric. This did not turn me off though.

Desert Fate was such an amazing read. I was captivated with the emotional journey that Kyle and Stef go through and how they finally found a place to call home. I can’t wait for more in The Wolves of Twin Moon Ranch series. Paranormal romance lovers will enjoy Desert Fate and this series.

DESERT FATE takes off running from page one. Stefanie is running for her life. Running from a danger that she doesn't fully understand as well as running from what is happening to her. As Stefanie is blindly running fate steps in in the form of Kyle Williams. Kyle and Stefanie share a past as well as a condition that will help draw them together in order to survive what is coming. Stefanie has to rely on her instincts that seem to take her against reason, attempt to trust Kyle who she hasn't seen in years but has an immense draw to, and avoid the "man" who is the source of her troubles. Kyle has to overcome his tendency to be a loner in order to fit into a pack and pack dynamics that he isn't comfortable with as well as stepping up to protect Stefanie before they can actually have a life together.

DESERT FATE is a quick read paranormal romance but packs quite a bit of action and loving into a short read. I read DESERT FATE as a stand alone but now I am intrigued enough to back to book one and start from the beginning.

There was suspense and love trumping all why not a 5 star.......

I felt both where a bit too blind all the way through.. i loved the inner wolves egging them on... but their excuses got a bit boring after a while

Still a big big 4 star

(RabidReads.com)After reading book two in this series, Desert Blood, I knew I wanted to read this one because I was intrigued with Kyle, human cop, turned wolf shifter, and I really wanted this unhappy guy to get his happily ever after.

Kyle was turned into a shifter when he got bitten while he is trying to break up a bar fight. It’s been a hard road for him, but he found a bit of normalcy by living on the outskirts of the Twin Moon Ranch, where the other shifters have become a sort of family for him. Stephanie is running from a shifter in a neighboring state. He bit her and tried to claim her as mate, but Stephanie wasn’t having any of it. She has no idea what is going on, only that she has already lost a couple of days that she has no memory about. When she gets a flat tire on a desert road, she gets out and decides to run. Kyle finds her there and it’s not long before the two realize that they used to be close friends when they were young.

This story has even more world building than the last one, in that pack laws and mating rituals are explored even more. Since Steph was bitten by another pack’s member, then he has first dibs on her, whether she wanted it or not. The wolves of Twin Moon Ranch are good, loving people, but even they can’t change pack laws. So it’s up to Kyle to protect her, because the other pack are known trouble makers and ruffians.

As before, I enjoyed all the interactions with the different shifters. There’s actually not that much of it due to Kyle being a loner, but still I liked what there was. But most of all, the romance between Kyle and Steph was very emotional and sweet, and I thought it was pretty great. The reader is pulled into Steph’s mind and all her thoughts and feelings about not being fully human anymore and about Kyle. Of course, the reader is privy to all Kyle’s thoughts and feelings as well.

Paranormal romance fans will certainly feel for this couple and their moving story. In addition to the romance, there’s also action and some almost heartbreaking moments. It’s an adult read due to some very smexy moments, and I do recommend it as a good read.

The third book in The Wolves of Twin Moon Ranch is about Kyle and Stephanie. I’ve been anxious to see what was wrong with Kyle and see him come into his own. Steph is the perfect mate for him.

I received a copy of this book for an honest review. It's been awhile since I've read a paranormal book and I have to say that I'm glad it was this one that got me out of my paranormal drought. This book took off running literally, we are introduced to Stefanie (Stef) who is on the run after a vicious attack. Her escape leads her to Arizona and into the arms of Kyle Williams an old childhood friend. The chemistry between the two is instantaneous but Stef is unsure if it's really her feeling that way or her new wolfside. Kyle is torn because she's not from his pack & he has to follow pack guidelines on how to handle the situation. I like how this author unraveled the attack on Stef in flashbacks as well as how she handled the pack politics. These types of stories aren't new so it's always good to see how the author will spin their story and how well her main characters are written. No one would have blamed Stef for having a massive breakdown and shutting down after hearing that the weird attack that had happened to her had changed her into a werewolf that is if she survives the first shift. She does have a few moments of wanting to run and of some denial but she stands firm and tries to figure it out. Kyle is also having some difficulties of his own in wanting to follow what his pack says but in also wanting to claim his true mate. Someone who finally makes him feel like he belongs because for so long he has felt like he doesn't really fit. Amongst all this is the fact that the man that tried to claim Stef as his mate is still after her. I also really love how descriptive the author was, for example the description of Stef's attacker Ron. She gets really descriptive of how he looked when going in to attack Stef along with how he smelled. She described how he smelled like tobacco and I swear I wrinkled up my nose while reading and could almost smell what she described. This story had it all drama, angst, love, a fight to the death. As well as some badass werewolves. I was so ecstatic to get towards the end and see how both Kyle and Stef handled themselves in a werewolf fight. And can I just say that Stef was badass, not just in werewolf form but also as a strong independent woman!!! So thank you Anna for getting me out of my paranormal drought. You wrote some sexy wolves.

I just finished reading 'Desert Fate'..... I loved being back in the lives of the Were's of Twin Moon Ranch, & don't get me started on finally finding out what made Kyle tick. Once I started I couldn't put this book down, even if I tried. I highly recommend you read this series from the start, although each book is writen for a new main character/couple (except for the novellas), the series is in chronological order. You seriously don't want to miss ANYTHING!

Changed lone wolf Kyle, is living on the edge of Twin Moon Ranch, never feeling completely at ease with the pack that helped him overcome the trials of being a changed. You've meet Kyle briefly in 'Desert Moon' & 'Desert Blood'... always there for the pack, but not. Even Cody, the person closest to him doesn't know the full extent of his history, where he grew up, how he was brought up. Stephanie is on the run, attacked whilst at work, running away.. she finds herself listening to her bodies instinct, following the stars till they seem right to her. Her body changing, blacking out, losing days, on her drive across the country till just outside of Twin Moon Ranch....

There was so much history shared about Kyle in this book, I felt that he lived a really lonely life growing up & it showed in the previos books, but reading 'Desert Fate' made me understand why. The growth he encounters, the hope he finds, the new strength he receives, just by being in love, is amazing. Thank you Anna for the magic that was weaved together when writing this, I can't wait to see what else is in store for the Were's of Twin Moon Ranch.... Also I think a spin-off is in need, for a certain pack??

Wow, had to read to the end to see what happened.
Loner Kyle has his mate handed to him by fate and an unscrupulous wolf from another pack.
Stefanie was just doing her job when she was bitten by a wolf trying to mate her.
Kyle and Stefanie knew and supported each other as children so it was wonderful fate bought them together again to be mates. Unfortunately, they both have baggage and rotten wolves to deal with along the way to their HEA.
We find out so much more about Kyles history and it was lovely to see them both grow stronger together.
I do hate the archaic laws these wolves live by.
Kyle has to fight to save Stefanie from being given to the other horrible pack. He really is a hero as he lets Stefanie go rather than claim her when she is not ready.
Stefanie had every reason to be so unbalanced, that pulling that was going on by Ron was horrible, understandable that she did have a meltdown and took off in Kyles truck leaving him to fight for her alone, but he would rather she was free and away from him than with Ron and Greer.
Stefanie’s wolf talked some sense into her and made her realise Kyle was their mate and needed them.
The dialogue going on with both of their wolves was fantastic, so good. You can just imagine them thinking slow, idiot, human half is not seeing what is right there.
I think her wolf really helped Stefanie find her way and I loved that she headed back to fight alongside Kyle against Greer and Ron, no matter the outcome or odds.
Fantastic news that Tyrone leaves Twin Moon ranch to take over the North Ridge pack in Colorado.

Desert Fate: The Wolves Of Twin Moon Ranch #3

Kyle Williams is a wolf shifter who knows all about having choices taken away from him, so when he finds a friend who he hasn't seen in years going through something similar he wants to help. Stefanie Alt is on the run from a man who attacked her, changed her and now wants her as his mate. Finding out they are friends from their childhood and both wolf shifters is a bit of a shock but Stefanie is relieved when Kyle says he will try and help her. But problems arise when they figure out they are mates, because shifters have their rules and they have to be followed. When her pursuer and his alpha find Stefanie will Kyle be able to protect her and live long enough to claim his mate!

I loved this book, it's a awesome addition to the series. Loved the storyline, it was intense and emotional and really enjoyable. The characters although troubled were really sweet and had great chemistry. It was a nice smooth read and it flowed well from start to finish. I'm really looking forward to the next book in this series!

Stef can´t believe what just happened, being bitten by her last client trying to sell him a solar panel system, and now she can´t stop thinking about wolfs, or that he threatened with keeping her - as mate! Running for her life, she´s at her wits' end when the car gets a flat in the middle of nowhere.
Kyle´s at home when he sees something he needs to investigate, he never expected it to be a Changeling, and last of all someone he knew once upon a time.
When trouble comes wanting her back, what are the Twin Moon pack to do?
Can Kyle really give her up, and could Stef accept her new life with any of them?
PNR romance, action, suspense and smutty fluff in a great combo.

This is the story of another high-ranking male of the Twin Moon Ranch, Kyle. He is a werewolf who was turned by a rogue while doing his job as a law enforcement agent. After struggling through the turn, he becomes a member of the Twin Moon pack living on the fringes between the human and shifter worlds. One day, something calls to him out in the desert and when he gets there, he finds Stefanie—a girl from his past and a fellow military brat who was his best friend and is now on the run from a rival pack that has no regard for humans and has made her one of their pack with the intent of making her the mate of one that turned her and their sadistic Alpha. The fight that ensues has everything on the line--life, love, and freedom from the oppression of a rival pack.

Series: The Wolves of Twin Moon Ranch #3
Rating: 3 stars - I liked it

Kyle Williams doesn’t know what to do with his week off. But when a brown-eyed girl from his past turns up clearly experiencing the change, his instinct is to protect her and save her from a rival pack.

Like the previous books, I enjoyed this story but wanted a bit more out of it. Stefanie is on the run and finds herself in the area of Twin Moon Ranch and in the arms of Kyle Williams, the boy she hasn’t seen in 15 years. Kyle and Stefanie had feelings for each other when they were kids but nothing happened at that time. Now they are together and are fated mates, but Stefanie doesn’t understand what that means. These two fought their feelings for each other because of the other pack being after Stefanie.

While I enjoyed the relationship, I did have a few issues about it. Stefanie is new to being a changeling and doesn’t know anything about being a wolf shifter. Instead of explaining everything to her and this why she is being hunted by the pack that turned her, Kyle and the Twin Moon pack just give her small bits of information when necessary. If they had explained everything about being a wolf and mates to her from the beginning things would have been so much better for her.

Because these two have a bit of history, I wanted more discussions on their feelings and futures. Basically, I wanted a bit more from this book, and the previous books, in terms of relationship building.

One word: WOW!

The series just keeps getting better and better as we get to know all the wolves of Twin Moon Ranch. We get intrigued with the suspense from the very first page.

Stefanie was attacked by a wolf on her last job selling a solar panel system. After her escape she continues to run and constantly thinks about wolves. And when she bursts a tyre, it's her last straw and she simply cannot comprehend being a skinwalker. Of course, fate had other plans.

Kyle is a turned wolf who always feels like an outsider, unable to fit in anywhere. Growing up in a turbulant household made him reject the idea of love, and since then the turned wolf had built up walls to keep everyone out. Now, life is about duty and his pack only. But wolves should know better than to fight destiny.

Ron, the wolf that bit Stefanie, comes back with a vengeance and his only goal: finishing the bite and claiming her as his own. With a deadly fight in the background, Stefanie runs, but halfway gone realises that Kyle is her mate and the love of her life, and her only option is to fight for and with him. Running away again is not an option for her anymore.

Kyle caught my attention from the second book in this series. He seemed lonely and lost, but still strong, and we always want to comfort those with sadness.

I found this book as one of the best in the series. The author has a way with words that pulls you in and never lets go. Absolutely loved it!

I love all of Anna Lowe's books so far, so it's no surprise that I loved this one! In this one, Kyle comes across Stefanie in the desert, she is scared and in a panic, and he wants to help, but she doesn't know who she can trust. Stefanie has been on the run after being attacked by something she is finding it hard to believe in, but Kyle knows and offers to help her. Stefanie agrees to Kyle helping when she realizes that she knows him from when she was a teenager. Kyle and Stefanie feel a connection, but the situation is intense, so they both try to withstand their attraction towards the other. I loved the backstory between Kyle and Stef, and the romance is really sweet. I was getting a little ticked at the pack for not helping Stef more with her situation, and they really need to tell people what's what before it becomes too late, but I loved seeing some of the characters from the previous books! Stef is a tough chick, who has to handle a lot, and she did great! I loved how protective of Stef Kyle was! They have a wonderful connection, and I enjoyed reading their story! I also listened to the audiobook version, and the narrator does an excellent job! Anna Lowe's books are always entertaining, so I'm definitely looking forward to more!

Book three in Twin Moon Pack by Anna Lowe
Kyle is a loner in the twin moon pack that was turned by a rogue shifter. He lives in a house the furthest away from pack and barley socialises with members.
Stefanie ‘Stef’ is a human that live on military family that moved around a lot and at one time leave on same base as Kyle both had horrible family life that was abusive.
Stefanie is attack by a rogue shifter and then hunted her after she escapes.
She travels but the stars slowly direct her to twin moon pack where Kyle finds her in a bush slowly dying from heat and dehydration.
They both realised there old military brats that were childhood friends.
This is my favourite in series especially with old alpha stands down and let Ty take over but also he softens when the pack has babies introduced to family.
Really loved the audiobook and definitely recommend

3/5***. This is book 3, Kyle and Stephanie’s story, in the Wolves of Twin Moon Ranch PNR series. I was looking forward to Kyle’s story because he was a halfling, a human that survived being bitten by a rogue shifter. He just seemed so sad and lonely when he was introduced in the earlier books of the series and I wanted him to find his true mate. Stephanie is a childhood friend who has just been bitten by a brute wolf and is fleeing for her life. She is drawn to the ranch and reunites with her old friend and sparks fly. This would have been a great romance if it wasn’t for all the inner dialogue which made the middle of the book drag. The action scenes in the final chapters were exciting and well written.

Desert Fate brings Stef to the Twin Moons ranch while on the run. She doesn't know what happened, where she is, or why she should travel the direction that she is. And that's when Fate steps in and throws Kyle in her path. I really could feel the pull of Kyle's loneliness and pain from his story. But for all that, he can still be a dense guy! I'm on team Stef – she was extremely likeable as someone that was strong, independent, could & would fight back. But also had a soft and vulnerable side. She needed Kyle, her wolf needed him. Stef and Kyle were by far my favorite couple.

Is It Fate

Something horrible happened to her and she doesn't quite understand it. After all, this can't be real but she knows it's necessary to get away from her attacker. Why she ended up here she doesn't know but it feels right. They knew each other when they were kids on base and she hasn't seen him in sixteen years. But something feels right about her being with him. Enjoy I did.

Fantastic

Totally enjoyed reading Kyle and Stefanie's story. I could just picture everything that happened because Anna Lowe is so very descriptive in all her books. The storyline was a good one with lots of action and angst. It was different because both of the main characters were shifters that had been turned. It made for an interesting dynamic between the two so the story flows. I look forward to reading more about the residents of Twin Moon Ranch!

Kyle and Stefanie are by far my favorite couple in this series so far! The strength Stefanie has in phenomenal and the opportunity to fall in love with a friend from the past is always a great story. These two are so deep with their own emotions and struggle with the reality that they are enough that it is heartbreaking at times but so rewarding when they give in to the pull. I can’t wait to hear the next book with this series. Such a great group of shifters!

Another shifter story.

This novel involves two changling shifters which means you they were bitten by rouge werewolves and became shifters. The part that makes this so interesting is that they knew each other in high school days. There was a secret draw between them the and this adds to the story. I liked it and hope you do too

As always Anna thrills, dips, dives, and completely soaks you into her stories. They are rich, full bodied with characters you live to root for and ones you love to root against. Kyle and Stef are no different. I love the way Anna brings in fate and Destiny. Honestly recommend to all who love Shifter stories!

I really liked the H/he's shared history. I was shocked at how the other pack was and to know more about their rules but they made for a great villain. This book has all the great elements of a fantastic paranormal romance. ALL the characters were lovable and I look forward to seeing this series continue.
