She was blinded. He was accused of evil. They’d been a salvation. They’d been redefined. And yet each of those trials was infantile compared to the test that both Draven and Charlie must face now. Discovering Charlie’s brother Cashton had been a deliverance from misguided conceptions. But now Cashton brings an entirely new threat to the table as it’s discovered he’d been imbedded within a lethal paranormal biker gang led by a powerful witch. Those he calls family are not only prevailing but also have formidable enemies, ones who are clearly determined to exterminate every soul set to rise to power. Redeeming the dead had left Draven fearless when it came to mortality. A blessing and a curse, for this time Draven has no choice but to go head-to-head with the Lords of Death who dare to threaten not only Cashton, but also Aden. Self-preservation is the name of the game, something Charlie has little interest in, which only adds to the war at hand. Draven and Charlie have no choice but to fight back to back as they cling to the love that has allowed them to survive across time and space.
I'm an obsessive daydreamer. Lover of loud alternative music. I love to laugh until it hurts. Fall is my favorite season. Black is my favorite 'shade.' Strong believer in the saying: there is a reason for everything, therefore I search for 'marked moments' every moment of everyday...and I find them. Life is beautiful!
A shockingly mind blowing read, this story surrounding Draven and Charlie the addicting musicians connected to death immediately starts after their conquering battle within the Realm after escaping, barley with their lives. This adventure definitely merges several sisters series together with their characters overlapping in an amusing way that is very entertaining to read about, the trials and issues they have to overcome was unexpected and enthralling for it all happened at the same time as other main characters within this Web of Hearts and Souls, so it was great to read their version of what happened and how they dealt with their drama. True to Draven and Charlie's vice they are dealing with death and their new adversaries the Lords of Death and their horrid crimes of sins, traveling between the Veil and the Edge and the encroaching fear of death attempting to conquer them once again. Draven's peaceful bliss with his soulmate Charlie is interrupted when her brother Cashton inquires for help with an unreadable text left behind by Windsome setting his adventure off with honest intent to aid but than the difficult choice of choosing between family and his soul. Draven is very amusing with his antics with the other characters as some begin to emerge, and his denial over his shocking situation grounding him from completely losing his sanity while trying to find a solution that will satisfy all parties involved in this daring plan to defeat the Lords of Death, Umbra and Camlin. Charlie reuniting with an old friend and learning his truth was so satisfying and her desire to see the vengeful and just Sovereign's rising forces Charlie into her fate at an intensely dramatic way thrusting them ahead in this war of conflicts. Charlie's selfless sacrifice to save all those she can and find a solution to their current upcoming battle with Umbra and Camlin was admirable and courageous, she never faltered in her decision when pressured by those who did not understand or agree with her choice. The romance between Draven and Charlie is epic and addicting, they trust openly with one another and never lost their faith in their love and the future they fight to live. The supporting characters were wild, so many emerging yet doing their own part to reach this Rapture and bring balance back to humanity.
Amazing as usual!! This book also takes place concurrently with Emanate and Disavow. I am not normally a fan of books that take place at the same time, but from different perspectives, however these are different enough that you don’t necessarily feel like you are reading the same story again. There are no repeated conversations or specifics of scenes, it just fills in some of the blanks. That being said, I am so looking forward to seeing where the story goes from here.
Just like with most of Jamie's books, I end up in tears. I'm happy, I'm emotional and just in awe of this author.
I was skeptical at the beginning because everything seemed crypted for me and I didn't really understand what was going on (plus : I have a crappy memory and I didn't really remember the details in Disavow or Redefined)
BUT DAMNN it got better, a lot better afterwards. The trigger was when Charlie "letting go" was first mentioned. THAT'S when I totally understood what was at risk and that's when I understood how far Draven was going to go for her.
Speaking about Draven, I had a hard time getting used to his temper, being in his mind and all and yeah I found him harsh sometimes but he's an angry emo sometimes, right?
Draven when "happy drunk" had me laughing sooooo hard I loved him like that!
Jamie Magee is once again amazing with her crazy ideas. I mean, we must not forget that these sometimes crazy characters come from HER MIND. It's W I C K E D!
I'd missed how Charlie and Draven always described everything thoroughly with their gift. With Jamie's accurate descriptions, I totally got how they lived and the fact that they sometimes didn't feel time with all the "travels" they did with their gift.
Powerlessness is a necessary evil in a book and GOD KNOWS it was present in this one! I was so frustrated for them!!!!
So happy to witness Charlie and Draven's passionate flame once again! I just love how they are together. And since we're a lot I Draven's mind, I thought it was really cute and beautiful to see his woman through his eyes.
Omg this Bridge thing fucked my mind up in the beginning but when I understood OH MY OH MY hashtag Jamie is a genius!!!!
Phoenix, Cashton and Draven make a hella good team! Viva the Kings!
Oh and our dear dear Reveca Beauregard, who came from her New Orleans lair. Well this woman is my queen. She's amazing in everything she does, always calm and composed but stubborn and in balance (which is a strong concept in this book)
The links with the other characters are even stronger and woaw it's hard to keep up, it really is a web...
I didn't really have high of low expectations for this book. I mean, Jamie Magee's my favorite author so it's a MUST read and I know there's 99% chance in going to love it . But woaw, this is maybe one of my favorite because it's really well structured and the reader feels all sorts of emotions throughout the pages. And come on, (Btw, I advise you to read the last pages with Invincible by Extreme Music, it's overpowering af)
If I had to end this review beautifully I'd say Jamie Magee managed to make me FEEL the King and Queen of Shock though this book. Even I, as a reader was touched by this emotion with the characters. Especially with this ending!
So excited for the rest of the series !!!

This book is amazing. Each of Jamie's books is better than the last. It is well written, smooth flowing and easy to read. The imagery is amazing. I can picture every scene as if I were watching a movie (which I would love to see happen). The characters, their emotions and the experiences they go through are depicted extremely well.
Each of Jamie's series can be read separately, or as a giant collection. This is book 6 of the See Series, book 18 in the Web of Hearts and Souls Collection. Her Serial Edge can also be read with the Web of Hearts and Souls collection (Edge fits in with Exaltation). I highly recommend reading the entire collection in order, you get so much more out of it that way.
The main characters in this book are Charlie and Draven. They are a perfect match. Charlie is light and Draven is dark. They have been together for most of their lives. They have both been through so much, both individually and together. Now, they must do what they feel they must, not only for themselves, but for everyone else as well. It is an uphill battle that will leave them questioning and second guessing everything, but they know together, undivided, they can conquer anything.
I felt so many emotions while reading this book. I was happy, excited, scared, nervous, upset, angry, surprised. This book (and series) is an emotional roller coaster. I am absolutely addicted to this series. I will now be impatiently waiting for the next book.
