TJ Green has done it again! **Blood, Feather, and Bone** is easily one of the strongest books in the Storm Moon Shifters series. I was hooked from the opening chapter and couldn't put it down.
The story begins with what should have been a diplomatic gathering among London's shifter clans, but when a horse-shifter is found murdered at the Raven Queen's Highgate estate, everything spirals into a gripping mystery filled with ancient rivalries, political intrigue, and long-buried secrets. As Maverick Hale, Domino, the Storm Moon pack, and DI Maggie Milne race to uncover the truth, the investigation reveals that the past is far from buried—and someone is willing to kill to keep it that way.
One of TJ Green's greatest strengths is her characters, and this book is no exception. Maverick continues to grow into one of my favorite protagonists, balancing loyalty, determination, and vulnerability in a way that makes him incredibly easy to root for. Domino is as sharp, courageous, and engaging as ever, and I loved seeing the dynamics within the Storm Moon pack. The supporting cast is equally memorable, with every character feeling like they have an important role to play.
The plot is brilliantly layered, weaving together murder, shifter politics, ancient bloodlines, and supernatural mystery without ever becoming confusing. Every chapter adds another twist, and just when I thought I'd figured everything out, TJ Green surprised me again. The pacing is perfect, building tension steadily until an exciting, satisfying finale.
As always, TJ Green's writing is exceptional. London comes alive with atmosphere, blending familiar streets with hidden magical worlds so seamlessly that you can almost believe they're real. The world-building continues to expand naturally, rewarding longtime readers while remaining accessible to newcomers.
If you love urban fantasy with compelling characters, clever mysteries, rich mythology, and plenty of heart, **Blood, Feather, and Bone** is an absolute must-read. It's a fantastic addition to the White Haven universe and another reminder of why TJ Green remains one of my favorite urban fantasy authors.
Highly recommended—this is a five-star read from beginning to end, and I already can't wait for the next adventure.
An absolutely fabulous read! I’ve loved every one of this authors books, and this one is no exception- in fact it was so addictive, such a compulsive read, that I’ve read it in a day, sitting up late because I had to know how it ended.
Maverick and the Storm Moon pack, each have characters, personalities and back stories that we gradually get to know as each book in this series progresses. In this book we are a little further along the road of understanding pack history, as Maverick continues his research into Magnus Blackwood. Little could he know how that research might connect to events, as The Raven Queen looks to establish a foothold and bring shifters together. We learn more about the shifter community and history, which is as descriptive and richly painted as you would expect from this author.
The Moonfell Witches are very much a part of this book, and I do love how their story and the Storm Moon packs are very much interconnected. They work well together and are integral in my mind, especially as some relationships are developing. We also get to see other characters that we know and have grown to love over the course of this, and other, series. Maggie Milne is an absolute delight!
The story is written with such detail, with characters so fully developed, that you cannot help but become invested. Who? But why? What could be the motivation? How? These and many other questions will be buzzing through your mind as the story develops. There is certainly an element of peril, mystery and plenty to keep you guessing. I love the ending, that leaves you wondering just what may come next, despite the resolution of current events.
Another jam packed with breath taking action comes this book in the Storm Moon Shifter series, which I am so in love with. In this book the Storm Moon Shifters are suddenly threatened by the arrival of the Raven Queen who invites them to a housewarming party in her very delipidated and scary mansion, which ends in the murder of one of the horse shifters. Suddenly havoc is unleashed, and apart from the paranormal detective Maggie Milne being called in to investigate, the moonfell witches get involved, and many other shifter clans living in London. This story is very intricate, delves back into the histories of both the raven, wolf as well as bird shifter ancestories, and the battles that have been fought down the ages over land borders and rights. I was hooked from the beginning to the end of this captivating book full of many twists and turns till the culprit is finally caught. Definitely a must read!
Once again, TJ Green has produced a wonderful story, filled with new characters, as well as The Storm Moon Pack. We open with a death, were they pushed or did he fall? A classic whodunnit! We learn about the bird shifters, the horse shifters, all very exciting new characters. The Raven Queen would love to bring together all the shifter communities, but as you would expect, not everyone has the same idea, certainly where territories are concerned! It looks like the European Bat shifters, the Noshtari are flexing their muscles, a thrilling book, and when Maverick and his pack become very poorly after a fight with the Noshtari, the Moonfell witches must find a solution before anyone dies. Old, secret, documents are found hidden, will they help? You’ll have to get the book, you won’t regret it!
Another brilliant book from the so very talented pen of TJ! I have yet to read a book of hers that did not grab me from the first page, and keep me enthralled throughout, whichever storyline she is writing for, White Haven witches, Moonfell, Storm Moon, or the Nephilim series. Her plots are intricately woven, based in real mythological lore, and so very well written. In this 4th book of the Storm Moon shifter pack we are introduced to more new types of shifters, and learn more about shifter history and characters introduced in the last instalment. We also get more of the Moonfell witches, who I love, as well as Maggie and Harlan. No spoilers here, but this is such a good book! It kept me engrossed throughout, as each new fact about the murders and the interplay between the different shifter clans, packs, etc is revealed. Fabulous!!!
Blood feather and Bone. The 4th in the series. Another fab story that has Maverick and his storm moon shifters pack helping Maggie sort out the shifter community. Old wars resurfacing causing trouble for all. Secrets unfolding, leading to chaos. The Moonfell witches helping as usual in their only way they do. Another fab book from TJ, the way she weaves the stories into an adult magical read is truly wonderful and the only thing wrong is coming to the end but we have more exciting stories ahead I’m sure. Fab.
Fast moving and intriguing new episode in the Shifter series. It starts with a murder at a soiree held at the home of the Raven Queen. It develops at a pace with the Moonfell Witches Maggie, Garland and the paranormal team getting in on the action too. We are introduced to many new Shifter characters that really adds to the context of the story. So its wild and mysterious once I started I found it hard to put down as I judt wanted to know who the murderer was and why. It doesn't disappoint so dive in a revel in the world of the paranormal
An absolutely fantastic story. As usual, I can’t wait to start each of her books and am sorry to see them end. I love the world of shifters, magic and mystery that run through this story and all TJ Green’s books. The story and characters of Blood, Feather and Bone come alive while you are reading. All the old characters are front and center, but the new characters blend seamlessly into the story. As usual, TJ Green has outdone herself.
Another fabulous read in the Storm Moon shifters series. I love how the pack interact with Moonfell, the other shifter species (new ones introduced in this book!) and how historical places and figures are interwoven with the supernatural. The story runs at a good pace, and has enough action and intrigue to have kept me reading long after I should have switched my lights off for the night! More more more please.
I started reading on Saturday and finished on Sunday.I loved all the characters, especially the interactions between the Moonfell Witches and the pack. TJ's writing is fantastic. I was really sad, when the book ended and can't wait for her next one. I've read a lot of books in my life, different authors, different genres. TJ Green is one of my favourite authors.
I received this in advance from the author! This was an absolute page turner I read it in just over 24 hours, why because I couldn’t put it down . I don’t do spoilers but I do give an honest assessment of the book ! If you like a bit of witches wolves and fantasy this is for you ! I have always liked this author but I have to say this time she exceeded all my expectations!
What a fantastic book from this author once again. Has all my favourite people, wolfs witches. A mystery at the beginning, who or what. As the book unfolds it gets creepy and really exciting. A worry half way but not spoiling. You really will enjoy reading this . I enjoyed from the beginning to the end. Fantastic and really enjoyable, hope you enjoy as much as I did
Once again the Moonfell Witches join the Shifters in a fantasticly engaging mystery murder. This will hold your attention from start and build by leaps and bounds as the solve who is behind the murder. The Raven Queen Ppears with her court. Left ne wondering and unable to figure out who was behind it.
Wow I love how Tracey keeps building this world! Now we have the Raven Queen and her mysterious past intermingling with characters from White Haven Hunters, Moonfell and of course Storm Moon. Danger, mystery and a couple of murders keep you guessing and turning those pages I can’t wait for the next adventure.
Another brilliant story, I could not put this book down. I cannot wait for the next Storm Moon book now. TJ Green books just get better and better every time The twist the turns the back stories and the expanse of this magical world If you are not already reading these then you must start now !
The Raven Queen moves into her ancestral home locally and decides to throw a party for all which includes Maverick and his team. There are some shifters there that Maverick had never heard of including horse shifters. The leader falls or is thrown from an upper floor window and is pronounced dead. DI Maggie Milne is brought in and investigations begin. Never a dull moment, it is a must to read.
Fantastic story. The new characters are great and bring new life into an already lively series. The story was great, with unexpected twists and surprises and new things to learn about the past and present.
Ancient Curse! Maverick, his pack and all his friends will deal with a lot in this interesting and informative adventure, mystery. Different secrets from the past will be revealed as more characters emerge in this wonderful story.
Another fantastic book! We have our Storm Moon Shifters and the Moonfell Witches, but we also have the Raven Queen and her entourage, plus some totally new characters in the shifters world. Full of action and keeps you on the edge of your seat. What's not to love?
It's hard to believe the author has been in the algarve for 5 years. It feels like yesterday. This book held me captive for 3 days! I love this series and especially the clans of witches, wolves, immortals and Angels. Excellent read, as always.
I read this book as an ARC reader, and, as with all the other books in the series, I was drawn into the story immediately and couldn't put it down. A must read from an Author that is outstanding.
Another great book by this author who writes fabulous stories that won’t disappoint. Wolf Shifters are one of my favourites. This was definitely a binge worthy read
Great story with lots of magical writing. Awesome characters and the imagination is triggered by the clever descriptions. Awesome ,do not miss this one.
I love the Whitehaven Witches, but the Storm Moon Shifters and the Moonfell Witches, you can't have one without the other, are fast becoming my absolute favourites.
This book sucked me in and didn't let me out again until the end (which was a problem as there were many other things I was supposed to be doing). I love this world of shifters and magic that TJ has built and I adore the characters. The plot was twisty and clever, but easy to follow and I enjoyed the classic whodunnit alongside the magic, the shifter politics and the court intrigue. We had some new faces that I hope we get to meet again and some that I'd rather steer clear of, but the shifters, the witches and Maggie f*cking Milne are hopefully here to stay.
I will definitely be reading this again and probably again .....
I was delighted to have an ARC of this new book in the Storm Moon Shifters series. In this fast-moving adventure we discover a lot more about the Raven Queen, a lot more about the history of the shifters and bats get a really bad press, worse than they have already. Very atmospheric, who doesn’t love a dilapidated building or an ancient graveyard; wonderful to include characters from other series’, although the book does stand alone, and totally unputdownable.
